Visited during October half term. Very busy, queues in excess of an hour. Fright night attractions were good. Overall the park has a younger fan base, though the added attraction of a zoo will attract some older guests

Nice theme park, can be expensive if not on an offer or with a pass, some of the rides are getting a bit tired and could do with an overhaul. But a good selection of rides to cover a wide age range.
Amazing hand sanitizer everywhere there is social distancing Mark's in the queues which people stick to. Face masks are needed on some rides. Obviously when walking from ride to ride social distancing is hard. The only bad thing is they need to open more of their refreshments stalls
Superb themed zones and v friendly staff who genuinely seemed to enjoy trading the pog things that attach to the kids lanyards. Great interactive idea BTW. Temple of Mayhem a Dad favourite! Why did we not get things like this when we were young
Great Park, lots to do for all the family, Gruffalo ride excellent, 1 day not enough to do it all. 1 downside - Maps and directions around park rubbish.
It's good, but considering the last time I was here Rameses Revenge was new, not much has changed since. Even so, with a bargain deal on season passes it will be well worth with out for our theme park loving kids.
There really is something for everyone at Chessington! Rides suitable for all ages and the zoofari is always good. The all-you-can-eat pizza and pasta is very good value and we would recommend that above the various burger outlets. We are annual pass holders and visit at least three times a year. A great day out whatever the weather.
Fantastic, family friendly park. Stayed in the safari room, got upgraded! Food was good, but not brilliant. Rides were fantastic, enjoyed everything we went on. Only issue is the queue times on the app and in the park, was told tomb blast was 15 minutes, but we had to wait well over an hour.
Totally ruined my daughter reaching the magic 1m 40cm height. Hence grown up rides. They would not let her ride Rattlesnake with her daddy. As different body shapes. He is of average build. No signage to state thus. Really sad. Made me want to cut up our Premium annual passes. As not cheap, I didn't!
Decent, much better with reduced capacity as we got on more rides! Only 4 stars because the tigers looked like they were struggling with the size of the enclosure.
A fun venue for families ..probably best for children up to 12/13 years old in my opinion . Well run . Found the Safari ride a bit disappointing but otherwise a very good experience
Great day out. Good range of rides for all ages from toddlers to teens. Would have been nice if we could have gone on more rides. Queues were well over an hour long for rides
Busy, but expected. Largest issue is the parking. Be very careful as with the field parking there is no control of where people park. Many people were completely boxed in by muppets with no clue how to park their own cars. The end of an average day was really destroyed by being trapped in a horribly run car park.
Wow. I haven't been to Chessington in years. And on the strength of my poor visit today, with my son, it will be years until I go back.
I don't really know where to start. Unlike the lines for the rides, I'll try to keep it short.
The queue for Vampire said 70mins. However, we entered the line at 12:01 and actually got on the ride at 14:04! The ride itself was decent but,, nothing special in relation to other marquee rides at theme parks. The queue area was unimpressive and boring until the hall where you get on(see pic). A few skulls, some grass and two screens randomly showing fireman Sam ... Odd. After this insane wait, we couldn't actually get on too many more rides as each was roughly 60mins.
The tiger enclosure was tiny with the animal walking up and down over and over again.
The wait time for all of the decent rides were huge. Even when the line itself wasn't that long. (See pic). It seemed more like bad design than the park being super busy.
The food cost was laughably high.
Two locker locations were out of order and staff weren't in the loop as to which lockers were available. Twice I went to ask staff for working lockers and twice I was sent to ones that weren't working.
The height requirements were odd. Vampire had a much lower minimum than some slower rides.
The staff in general didn't seem to be that switched on or bothered about being there. A lot of youngsters, which is good, but they seemed like they would rather be elsewhere. There was one guy that was sweeping, however, who was super helpful. He insisted on walking us to our ride instead of just pointing and going about his day.
There aren't actually many good rides. There's no getting around that. And scorpion(plus another ride) was closed. As we're some of the restaurants.
The park lacked a vibe, looked tired and needs money spent.
It make be slightly unfair for me to compare it to Disneyworld/Universal/Busch Gardens or Euro Disney. But, if I can't compare it to other theme parks, what can I compare it too? Its not cheap, the wait times are similar, if not worse than most big theme parks elsewhere and in terms of feel, it's light years behind. I'd put Alton Towers and Thorpe Park in front of this now.
If you've not been to a BIG theme park, you're a season pass holder, you're staying in the hotel or you have young kids, your experience may be better. But, for me, I couldn't wait to get out. And even my son wasnt bothered about any of the rides.
I keep thinking about other things that were bad, but like the queue for Vampire, this review is much longer than expected. And I can't be bothered. I hope other have a better time.
Sadly the zoo was closed. This was disappointing. On the upside the big cats were very easy to see today. The shows were pretty good. The gruffalo ride was a bit disappointing. Not so good now. The food was good. The car parks not too bad. Quite a nice day out with a 5 & 2 years old.
You queue everywhere, even to pay for car park, which is by the way what feels like miles from the park. The rides are fun but again queues are impossible. And closing at 5pm? What's wrong with them? Could stay open til later in the summer months.
Amazing experience! Staff very helpful, some of them were a bit confused on the deal but I excuse them as they were hotel staff and not park ones... We did absolutely everything we wanted and relaxed. The bed amazing and so soft, I wanted to take it home! The food at the hotel wow! So good. We loved it all. We want to come back
Well worth the money. Sooo much to see in 1 day. We only saw the theme park but three is the zoo park too. Will be back. Loved all the water rides as we went on a day that was 31 degrees. Sun tan lotion dispenser on arrival but never saw any water fountains.
Would not recommend this place to anyone. We did the pizza deal on line. On arrival to the restaurant show them my ticket on the phone said they couldn't accept I need to print it off. Went to guess services who said they print off the ticket and this should be fine. Expecting all staff to be trained correctly on park product's. Went back to restaurant they refused the printed tickets said I need special ones from the hub. People at the hub was buying annually park tickets which understandable take time to take pictures etc.. massive que. Wasted an whole hour of my day just to save money. But time is money. Kids was tied hungurry would have been easier to pay at the restaurant. Plus staff have no correct training. On top off this we got over charged on our hotel room. A stress free break was very stressful. I recommend lego land. Really nice place well worth the money.
It's ok. We came with 4 year old twins and 2 8 year olds. They in honesty enjoyed it however the maps are just awful in locations lol. Filled a couple of days but for the price I feltbtge maintenance was very poor. Radio controlled boats just sunk and left. Radio controlled jeeps just abandoned. I realise it's not huge but the small things make all the difference
Chessington World of Adventures is a really good place to go it keeps me away from reality of life I can on wine and chill out I like the feeling I like the names of the rides the staff extremely helpful and friendly and always seem to be smiling and happy. And they seem to be keeping the park up-to-date clean and tidy. I know I haven't been to Chessington for a while because I was ill for quite a long time but I will be renewing my annual pass for this season definitely the only ride that I would question at Chessington his router connected to hurts my ankles cos I've got arthritis and finally even the staff on the admissions terms dolls are friendly and a good laugh that is why I've given 5. If I could give a 6 star I would.
Fun for all the family . 6 hours going on rides . Watching the Gruffalo show . Eating lunch . Amazing time . Annual passes are a must and definitely worth it .
Not like it used to be. As Merlin pass holders we still had to pay for refills of our drinks. For the amount of money we pay it should be free. Queues are always so long but I guess if you come on a nice day that's what you expect.
It was quite disappointing as wanted to take granddaughter to see animals but there were not many to see, the ones we did see looked bored and fed up with nothing to stimulate there minds.
A theme park, aquarium and zoo in one! Perfect place for all the family. We ve been twice this year with our 4 and 6 year old and they ve both loved it here. We got so close up to the lions and tigers which was amazing and the variety of rides for smaller children is great. Will definitely be visiting again.
Staff mostly young and uninterested in your experience at the park, most unaware of how to deal with anything but the most basic of issues. No longer autism freindly since change of policy this year, in my opinion.
Had a great day today, making use of the Premium Merlin pass! Would like to also thank MATTHEW from parking and admissions who was so very helpful and polite. This is our second time here this month and we will definitely be back
Great family adventure park. Lots to do for kids and adults alike. Fast passes and disabled access available. Huge selection of gift shops and restaurants. Would happily return soon.
Great theme park as it caters for younger and older children. Ample parking, places to eat, plenty of restrooms and first aid. Onsite hotel with restaurants and pool plus other facilities. One of my favourites.
It had rained all day and was told we would be compensated by getting a free return to the park..whoohoo!!! (check their website: rainy day guarantee). Lots to see and do here for all ages. My 6 year old was able to go on most rides accompanied with an adult. The zoo was lovely with talks throughout the day.
Theme park with usual ques which is expected for the summer. A little disappointed as they seem understaffed. One person doing everything, from entering and settling the people, setting the safety bars, manual checks, and then finally setting the ride off. Have two people do it and it will twice as fast. Disappointed one of the ride stopped working after a 40mins wait.. Also disappointing confusing exit fee for parking, some signs telling you to turn back and some saying OK to pay by touch at the gate. Make your mind up.. Then it takes ages to get through exit gates because the payment system isn't user friendly and seem like it was designed with double Dutch in mind. Simple things that could make things efficient are not even considered by the corporate management.
Really fantastic theme park to go to if you re looking for family friendly rides and not just thrill seeking rides. Social distancing is slightly difficult in places but I felt very safe walking around the park as hand sanitiser stations were spread all around the theme park. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly here. Food is slightly expensive but this is a theme park don t forget. Best to book tickets online.
Visited many times but this time we noticed how tired the park looked. Several examples of staff shortages. Some kiosks operated with one staff who were overwhelmed with demand. Could 're stock fridges, wipe sides etc.we also saw lack of cleaning, they ran out of bottled drinks in some places and drinks machines were not working. The ride times were all wrong- several rides said 80 minutes but we waited only 25 which was good but made planning the day harder. These need to be more realistic on the app and on the board. Getting out of the car park was murder. We had a good day but think Chessington need to raise their game.
this place is fantastic plenty to do with kids of any age but bearing in mind is height restrictions for the kids so can not get on some rides we really enjoyed the day very easy to get too by car or train will go again on the 2for1 vouchers or if someone has a Merlin pass go friends and family perks a lot cheaper
