Didnt even want to give 1 star
All rides closed after you queue for ages saying a technical faults. Your not told to look at the pictures so its not worth the money. Hotel was lovely but the theme park is a joke of a place weve spent 2 days walking around. What a pure waste of money. Spoke to management about it their trained to talk to you like your an idiot!!! Never ever again will i come to chessington!!!!

The hotel was beautiful, very well managed and clean, there is a lanyard that is given to child guests and the objective of this is to fill out with as many activity tokens as possible (clip on) which the staff roaming the hotel are also wearing and are more than happy to trade your duplicates for ones you may be missing, the park itself is well kept albeit a little difficult to navigate but there is a mobile app which pinpoints your location with ease, all in all its a great day/s out for All ages and we will very likely be back in the summer

Amazing, Room on the Broom and The Gruffalo being the main reasons for our visit with my grandchild who is a massive fan and had dressed for the occasion.
The only disappointment we had was the 1m height restriction for the safari ride, half a cm short so we couldn't go on. A lot to see and we were up close to experts with an owl, raccoon and a meerkat. All site staff were very helpful and we had an absolutely brilliant day, we went on 18/3/19 so no real queues yet. Highly recommended.

We had a magical day. Mixed ages and heights so couldn't go on everything together. But still lots to do together. Considering it was summer holidays, queues weren't too bad. Could have been worse. Lovely range of choices of activities from thrillseeker rides, to zufari to tomb blaster shooting. We had a blast and will definitely be back when my 2 are slightly taller. If you're under 1.2m it's difficult to get on the big rides unless you're 1.1m and you can do The Vampire. But that's it until you're 1.2m.

Expensive place to enter, even if using discount vouchers. The park is relatively small compared to some others, but it does provide a good balance between things for younger and older kids.
However on the whole the park is let down by two things: the staff are all young and not really interested in providing any real service which is a shame, and secondly like all these parks the food and drink is at exorbitant prices. The park is not badly laid out, but the signage is terrible - there are maps showing you where restaurants are, but not where the rides are.
There is an app for the park, but it does not provide up to the minute queueing times as it states - neither are the signs at the start of the queues accurate: The sign for the Vampire ride said 90 minutes - I asked the lady is it really 90 minutes - "Yes" I was told, but in actual fact we were on the ride 15 minutes later! Then we went to queue for another ride which said it was a 10 minute wait (on the app and the queue entrance) but waited over 40 minutes. The app is not particularly useful - it could be much better.
We also had to wait much longer than expected on another ride when we we right at the front of the queue the attendant let nearly 50 people with Fast Passes go ahead of us, instead of merging them as on the other rides. I wouldn't mind so much if they bothered to communicate but they really couldn't be bothered.
Luckily we were there on a relatively quiet day, just before most schools closed for the holidays so we managed to do most of what we wanted - but be warned, the rides start to close before the park, so our little one was disappointed to miss out on a last ride even though the park was still open for another 25 minutes and there was no queue. As I have already said the staff are not really interested in the customers.

What an amazing experience with family and kids. We've been visiting since 4 years now. We've never had any problems except finding halal food which would be a bonus.
Those people who have not had a great experience I would just say that you weren't lucky.
As it is one of the biggest and busiest theme parks in the country sometimes an unexpected issue may arise which shouldn't be taken seriously.
The directions to the lands could be much clearer as sometimes it can take a long time to go from one end to another.
The staff are all friendly and helpful. One staff from the lions section was extra helpful and chatty, her name is 'Jo' - such a friendly lady.

Parking up on the 4quid car park means it's. A little walk to the park, but not much depending on how early you get there.
Once you're in, I'd say take a couple of maps and then plan out your day if your company allows for it.
Little toddlers will want to see certainthingd when pointed out to them, but you may also be governed on where you go by those very same toddlers.
May be a better day out for slightly older kids, but be prepared for the cost of additional items such as lunch, drinks. Ice cream, toys etc. Not necessarily mandatory, but consideration should be given if you're not bringing your own.
All rides are reasonable and the wait times on the board next to each queue is a slight exaggeration which leaves you thinking it was worth the wait.
Plenty of areas to sit relax and eat snacks, green areas, not so many benches, so if you want to sit and eat maybe bring a mat to sit on of some sort.
Other than that, get ready for the charge of all humans towards the exit at leaving time and then sit and wait in traffic to get out as all others do the same!

About the only place that didn't have a que was the children's farm which was lacking in stock. 110 min waiting times on some rides all day! over crowding que jumping was the theme of the day for us. All we could see was no thought for More

We went to chessingtons along with my daughters class as she didn't get to do a leavers celebration. Honestly, it was the best. Some queues were longer than others and I definitely am not suited to the Cobra!!! Just remember to bring a mask or you won't be allowed on the rides. Also bring your own hand sanitisor, the ones there are nasty.

The rides are great.
The signage and maps could be improved, so you do not waste time trying to find the rides that you want. The maps could do with having the ride names on them, and perhaps identify where you currently are positioned on the map. The signs are not particularly clear always as to which direction they are pointing in, so signs on the paths lower down would be more helpful.
The app and the electronic boards they have are good for seeing the latest queue times for each ride.
The parent swap idea is great, although I can see that some people probably abuse this system.
The set of lockers we went to were out of order.
When we arrived there we had to go and change our little girl's nappy, and I was surprised that the changing table was messy with bits of dirt on it. I would expect these to be cleaned several times a day and for it to be cleaned before opening.

I would advise to buy some fast track tickets, but these are expensive.

We spent two nights in the hotel and enjoyed the park for a full day! We all absolutely loved it! Kids loved it just as much ! Plenty of rides to choose from for all ages! Only problem would be the waiting times to get on the rides. But that would be the same problem in any theme park! Excellent place to take the family

Hotel: One of the rooms we were in had a blocked toilet. Despite telling management repeatedly, this wasn t fixed all weekend. We were told they had one cleaner after 3pm for 2 hotels and that they couldn t speak English so management were unable to give them instructions on what to do!

Loads to do and loved the gruffalo and tiger rock. As with most theme parks the queues are huge and can be very frustrating especially when you have small children. Fast track is expensive and will more than double the cost of your day if you are happy to pay to queue jump.

Great my 9 year old daughter loves this place. If you take your tickets back to the gate you can buy tickets tickets for the next day for 7 quid a piece. Queues are fairly long but that's just standard for a place like this. You can buy fast track tickets for around 5 - 6 quid a ride

Went to chessington yesterday 18.8.2020. I have to say it was appalling. No social distancing anywhere. As for saying they were running at least 60% less capacity that was a joke. 90 minutes queuing to get in. Another 30 minutes queuing to use the toilets. When using the toilets small space so social distancing impossible. We went to Legoland the week before and felt safe the same can't be said for chessington

Was a pleasant day out enjoyed by the whole family. Toilets quite smelly though.
Queuing for meals was a half an hour wait in vampire kitchen. With small children ideal to get in before or after lunch rush.

We stayed at the on site hotel for a few days and then had 2 day park access.. the first day was fab.. weather perfect.. queues to be expected but staff managed them well.. then of course day 2 was a wash out.. wish we'd taken waterproofs as there were no queues at any ride.. if you stay on site don't be lured in to the park meal deals.. food in hotel MUCH better.. pizza pasta ok.. smoke house almost inedible and the place was filthy.. considering the park was almost empty I wouldn't of expected this.. Will go back to hotel and park though xxx

We have an annual ticket and the kids love going and enjoying the rides and animals as well as sea world, my main concern is on occasions the number of times rides are out of action and the queue lengths, often up to 60 minutes. It just feels like more money needs investing back into the park to modernise it and some of the rides, but even saying that we will continue returning and some rides have recently been refurbished. I personally don't think they should have a Tiger enclosure right next to a ride, it is far from a Tigers natural habitation with a lot of ride noise and many people walking around, I feel the animals and rides should be kept separate, although I am sure to some families this is a plus and not a negative.

Hotel nice Room ok A bit strange there's no hair dryer or plug sockets by the bed for you to charge phones I had to leave mine charging across the room so it was a struggle when the Alarm went off as I'm disabled No instructions explaining about WiFi also but apart from that all good

Excellent day out. So much to see. Only thing that let it down was in summer maybe they could of stayed open for an hour or two longer. I would of liked for the little ones to have maybe one or two more smaller rides.

We had a fantastic family day out. The kids had a great time(aged 2,4,5,9 and 11). The Halloween creepy cave was brilliant, well worth entering if you dare. The only down side is the price of food.

Overall a good day out but a little frustrating when taking a 4 year old as they cant get on most of the rides, you should be offered discount if your child is under 1.0 metre to make up for it. You also have to pay for parking which is bad . Good but not great.

Queues, queues and more queues. Bizarre covid regulations like no social distancing in queues. But then shutting the whole ride at the random times to "disinfect" (what about the other 59 minutes of people) made worse by a LOT of smaller rides and cafes being shut. Increasing the amount of people on the larger rides.

Also if you have an Annual Pass you now have to pay to book your place on the day. All in all won't be going back

Had a great day, arrived as it opened and left at closing time. The kids loved it....and no huge queues, plus lots to do for all ages. They even have vegan fast food, not dogs. Very expensive as expected for food, drinks, and extras. Parking in a field a short walk to the park entrance, worth paying in advance to avoid a queue when you leave. If you take a picnic its well worth the entrance cost, we will definitely go again.

Good theme park but the queuing is too long unless you're lucky enough to buy their ridiculously expensive premium passes. I wished the staff was trained to fill up the carriages rather than letting empty spaces to please a couple of people. We went on an inset day and still had to queue for 1.5h on the big rides. Of which, 2 of them were also shut for most of the day due to technical faults. It was a bit disappointing.

45 mins to get in with prepaid tickets because the person kept disappearing. There was 1 person on prepaid and 3 on buy it now tickets. Then 20 mins to get out because the contactless payment machines weren't working on the barriers so they were making everyone reverse so people could go back to pay.
3* because the rest of the day was great.

Overflowing bins

Overflowing bins
Wasps everywhere.
Inadequately trained staff.
Maps of the park had ran out when we arrived at 12.00pm - we were told to take a photo of the map board at the entrance and use that.
Excessive queue times for rides - nearly 2 hours for a 5 minute ride.
Purchased unlimited drink refills but all dispensers ran out of numerous types of drinks.
Toilets were filthy and soap dispensers broken or empty.
