Went here very last minute with my wife as a short get away from the kids. This place was exactly what the relationship needed plenty of things to do for fun the rooms aren't the most amazing things In the world but it was just right. If you come here make sure you get the pool in your room you'll thank me later.

My husband and I had an amazing time. But immediately what we noticed soon as we entered our room. Around the pool the paint was chipping badly. The air conditioner by the bed wasn't working properly. Kept making a wierd sound, like someone knocking. The light switch next to said AC. You had to tap the switch for it to come on. The food was beyond good. God bless the chef. I always love the staff, make people feel at home. I did have some dirty utensils and opted for plastic. All in all a good time for a short stay.
Had a great time in Paradise Stream Resort. Staff was very friendly, dining room was very nice, food was very good, room was very nice(swimming pool room). Will definitely be going back up. Traveled 3 hrs from Altoona,PA.
Its a new experience being in that part of Penn. and the timing was just right great weather and their is so much to do around the area, need to spent more time and or come back again BUT NOT BEFORE MAJOR RENOVATIONS TO THE RESORT (OUTDATED)
Absolutely wonderful place for couples to reconnect!! The place is entirely designed with that in mind. We visited the first week of June when it was very quiet and empty. The hosted games and DJ events had barely any attendance. But as far as things for couples to do on their own - it's wonderful! My biggest concern when booking was the fact that the resort dates 40 years back, and people's reviews mentioned mold and even dirt and stains. I did not find the Lakeside Villa unclean, nor the premises themselves! Everything was well-kept, including all the jaccuzzis, bathrooms, pools, restaurant, bar and lounge. I would absolutely recommend and urge every couple to visit here, regardless of age. Something about the notion of so many people dedicated to helping couples draw closer is disarming, stress-relieving, and sensual all at the same time!
The staff at Paradise Stream is FANTASTIC, especially considering all we went through! That said, our overall experience at this location (in comparison to the other Cove Haven locations) was horrible!! The first room had issues with the Champagne tower Jacuzzi and the ENTRANCE door frame was split almost in two. Plus, as we were packing to switch rooms, part of the light fixture in the pool area fell to the floor (which certainly could have resulted in physical injury, if one was in the area!!). In the second room, the upper floor A/C unit did not cool off the room (ran out of refrigerant???!), then the hot water heater stopped working...3 times!! Finally, our last room was ok. The grounds are much smaller than the other locations, and just in ok condition. The roads are in various conditions, although some were very recently paved - which was nice. The indoor 'weight room' is essentially 3 crappy machines and one universal machine in an old racquet ball room - certainly nothing to really use, if one was there to do any serious work out! The dining experience varied the 5 nights we were there; from really poor and slow service the first night, to moderate or bad food the others. With the exception of the 1st night, the dining room staff were awesome (actually, the first guy was very nice, just very slow and inattentive!). The biggest let down was the food quality; almost ALL of the meats we had were VERY dry, some even over cooked. The selection was ok, but there should be a buffet offered more than 1x a week (the night we were leaving!!). The management were helpful, and even adjusted some of the fees and costs, but we certainly would not return - nor recommend - this location in the future. Hopefully next year we can report a great experience at Pocono Palace...!!??
We had a very nice stay at Paradise Stream Resort. For us it is an easy drive from the Philadelphia area and the location of the resort is close to a state park which we visited during the day. I guess that means I cannot report much about the daily entertainment activities at the resort itself, but it seemed those had a good draw of people. I was especially impressed with the night club. My wife and I have been to a number of resorts in the Caribbean and too often the night clubs are too small. The one at Paradise Stream is remarkable big with plenty of space. It was a nice amenity. The restaurant had plenty of seating for the residents and the food was good. Overall an excellent experience and wish we could have stayed longer.
Very courteous staff. The cottage was pretty nice with a fireplace and hot tub. The lighting affects were really cool in the bathroom area. Very comfortable bed. Nice private patio area that would be perfect in spring, summer, or fall. The place could use some minor upgrades and renovations to justify the cost. The resort fee should be optional. Instructions on hot tub functionality should also be made available to avoid malfunction or misuse.
Our stay was overall great and very enjoyable. The resort is quiet so you get to spend quality time with your significant other, but the resort has plenty of activities available all throughout the day to keep you busy. We had booked a jacuzzi suite, but the front desk was nice enough to upgrade us to a Diana's oasis room. I have very high standards of cleanliness and I felt totally comfortable staying in the room. The room was HUGE! We really enjoyed our private indoor pool in the room. We found that it was in good condition and clean. The tiles around the pool might just need cleaning/refurbishing, but all in all, it was clean. Our jacuzzi was clean. We had a very slight issue where one of the jet caps came off when we turned on the jets in the jacuzzi and some debris came out of them. But maintenance and housekeeping came right away, notified us that it might take up to an hour to fix since they were going to do a flush (we didnt mind, since we were headed to dinner anyway), and they made the jacuzzi look like new. The round bed was cool and the sheets were clean. The bed was a little too soft for my liking, but that's just me. The bathroom was nicely renovated with a stand up shower.
Only things I would point out that might need attention was 1) the food. It was okay and tasty, with plenty of varieties. But I didn't find that it was worth the all inclusive price. We probably will not be purchasing the all inclusive next time. There are plenty of nice restaurants within a 10-15 min drive away. 2) I would recommend that the resort take out the carpets in the room and replace them with tiles, since with the jacuzzi and pool in Diana's oasis, guests will inevitably walk wet around the room and get the carpets wet more than once. It's more sanitary to have tiles.
Overall, the stay was nice. We enjoyed the 24/7 arcade with billiards, the racquetball, the rowboats and paddleboats, the lake and the archery. We didnt try the outdoor pool since the weather was iffy when we went and we had our own pool in the room. The entire staff is soooo nice and accommodating. The nightly entertainment was great also. I would stay here again.
Beautiful room we had the garden of Eden apple suite. It was very cleaned and well maintained. The room had a private pool that was warm and inviting. The dinner at there diner wasn't very good and breakfast was mediocre. We enjoyed watching a magician in the nightclub, swimming and racketball. Would suggest this place to others but maybe don't have meals included and eat elsewhere.
Poor Customer Service All Around! Front Desk Clerk Sweaty an annoyed! Loud an ghetto music playing at 10:00pm at night or later on a Sunday while the guest are checking in...is that romantic? Motel room because it s cleary is not a hotel room that I would feel comfortable sleeping in, The room look old an run down even had a musty smell to it!! Hot tub did not look properly cleaned! Let s just say this place reminded me of the projects! I will not be back nor will I send any family or friend of mine! If you can afford better do better because I MYSELF prefer 5 star hotels over fearing if I will be taking any bugs or germs back home! Enjoy luv!!
we were able to come up on our anniversary for the third time however this was the first time we have complaints. maintenance on rooms not being done, pool still had a cover on it, food was average at best, and our bartender didn't know how to make any of our drinks. with that being said we will be back again with hopes of change for the amount you spend to come up there. Thank you and have a great day, sincerely Robert Smith Jr
The room was great could have been a little cleaner cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling dirty grout in the room pool and bathroom (that drives me nuts in general) The food at the bar and for room service was great the dining areas were just ok. Even with covid regulations you are still able to do some activities and enjoy live music. I m not sure the value of what you pay equals what you get but I m willing to try again during warmer weather.
They are trying to charge $500 a night weekday for the champagne tower and the entire room is outdated. Looks like a hotel room from the 80s. Way overpriced.
My wife and I went here for the weekend when we saw that a Jimmy Buffet cover band would be performing. We had a fantastic time. The band was great; the food was great; the drinks were great; the staff was great. My only complaint would be that the facility was slightly dated but I'm sure they are aware of that and hear that a lot. But life is full of trade offs, and the value you get for your money makes it well worth it. I wasn't sure if it was the round bed, loud AC unit or just me, but I didn't sleep very well. I took the Sleep Quality rating down a little simply because I normally am an amazing sleeper. But I also didn't give it a zero because obviously it could have been a me problem and not a general issue. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
This place is truly Paradise. ...if it's just 1percent of what Heaven is going to be, U don't wanna go to Hell!!! Beautiful, Peaceful, Luxurious, Nature Friendly, good food, alot of fun activities. .. Outstanding Nightlife... Our stay was WONDERFUL! !
We've stayed at Pocono palace in the past and we were excited to try out an new location and new room. We were dissappointed with with the Champaigne rooms hottub because after 3 gallons there was no hot water. We purchased the bubble bath soap for nothing, and left it in the room. The TV in the bedroom would not shut off and we were unable to disconect it due to its location. The tv was left on all night and we did not sleep well at all. We called the front desk to see if we could get an extension for check out and we recieved a reluctant response of 12pm. I didnt feel welcomed at all, maybe because we booked through groupon. Last time was a great experience and we booked through the website and not through a third party, maybe that is why we had a better experience.
Great place for romantic getaways. Staff are friendly. Food is good. If you go to the bar ask for Colby. Hes the best server there. Drinks were right and on time. Hes got a great attitude. Fun activities. Cant go wrong spending some time here.
My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at Paradise Stream. We will definitely come back again. If I was to say anything that needs adjustment is the amount of salt they use on the food. You really don't need that much salt and it would be better if they put a little salt and if the guess needs more they can add it. But that's it.
We are actually here now..first time.. last time...celebrating our anniversary... my wife wouldn t let me wait until we got home to do the review. Booked a Diana s room... in room pool is nice but dirt in the bottom so didn t get in. Tried the jacuzzi.. filled it with water and bubble bath and turned on the jets.. so much dirt came out of the jets that we had to drain it, go get cleaning supplies from the grocery store and clean it, then try it again. I took pics of the dirt. Upon check in, they explained that room cleaning was only on request, which was cool. We called this morning around 9:30am and only asked to have the sheets changed. As of 6pm, nobody came so I called and asked if we could just pick up sheets when we returned from our anniversary dinner and change them ourselves.. my wife said no way a resort lets u change your own sheets... they told me ok, just pick them up when u get back. Nuff said?
We stayed at Paradise Stream after we had to leave Pocono Palace because of a water problem. It turned out to be a great experience. The rooms were cleaner than Pocono Palace and the sports equipment was in much better condition. The CXO's were very entertaining and pleasant. We would definitely stay there again.
Paradise Stream was good as far as the rooms and activities. Staff were very friendly as well. Food was so-so and could have been better quality. Be careful if you have anything happen where you need Management. We experienced a cellphone completely fry after turning the light switch on to a lamp it was plugged into. Manager made us feel like it was our fault and never showed any compassion or apologies for our ordeal. We transferred our stay to Pocono Palace.
The rooms are beyond outdated. Sofas have stains, rooms smell musty (we had to switch rooms) and they took forever to fix the tv in living room. Had to sleep with it on the entire night. Great concept with pool and jacuzzi in room but it desperately needs a renovation. I'd probably pay more if rooms were remodeled. Spooners room service is not that great with mediocre food.
My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary. Below is our thoughts:
Pros: - very well thought out. The night club always had stuff going on for couples. - from bingo, to the bar, live bands or the comedian, there was always something to do! - we got the package with the breakfast and dinner included, and it was so worth it! The buffet was delicious and the servers were great too - They did an awesome job of making it feel like a legit couples resort, it was great. - The staff was friendly everywhere we went, no complaints. They hired great people. - The pool room was great, always toasty too!
Cons: - As mentioned, we had the package for dinner. I suggest adding in some sort of coupon for alcohol, because that's where they really get you! - The overall price of the hotel was expensive for what we received. Granted there is a lot that goes on, with the lobby pictures and not club, with the resort fees it is not worth it. Considering you do spend a significant time in the room, but there's also so much to do on site, so in my opinion it was over priced. - The room was nice, especially with the pool in your room in its own glass doors. But, it wasn't as clean as I expected. The room smelled stale, the heating unit was always on and was obnoxiously loud, when we turned on the jacuzzi jets - the grossest paint chips, and dirt came out of the jets, we didn't even use it! - Also, I suggest bringing your own pillows! - I just felt like for the price we paid, it should have been a little more in tip top shape! - It is semi loud, you hear door slamming from people going in and out all night.
We enjoyed our stay very much for our 2 year anniversary and can't wait to come back again. All the staff were polite and friendly very helping people.
We are "Forever Lovers", as we have been going to the different resorts over the last 25 years. In the beginning, we looked forward to going every year, but found that we were skipping a year, as it was becoming expensive for substandard quality. This year we went, after a three year hiatus. We were upgraded from a Diana's Oasis to an Apple. The fireplace ledge had a film of soot, from not being cleaned properly. The bathroom shower had horrific mold stains. The pool area, was by far, the worst. There was mold from improper ventilation on the ceiling. When we removed the cover from the pool, there was black grit all over the pool bottom. While the "upgrade" was appreciated, it was useless, as we were not able to enjoy room amenities due to these conditions.
Paradise Stream is amazing! The rooms are huge! The Apple and Champagne Towers are my favorite. We stayed in an Apple and it was very clean. Very nice. The couch was in need of a little love, but no big deal. The staff was great as always. The lady, Tracy, who I booked with through The Cove Haven Resort main #, was simply delightful. The people at Paradise Stream are the best crew ever. The whole place is so much fun. And so romantic! I can't wait to go back!
This was a getaway for my boyfriend s birthday. The room was in desperate need of an upgrade; the hot tub was coming off the wall, the steam shower did not work, and the pictures were not as advertised. In addition, we went into the lounge area on Saturday night to order food and while waiting we started to play pool. The manager actually came up to us and ask that we stop playing while the band was playing. For the price of this trip, we should have been able to play pool whenever we wanted. I also think that firewood should have been provided for at least one night. We agreed the grounds were lovely as we ventured off on a hike. And as much as we enjoyed each other, we were both very disappointed with the quality of accommodation and will not travel back to Paradise Stream.
This is a go to place for couples. The rooms are super romantic, and the area just has a calm feel good vibe. I went here for my birthday and had a great time. My suite felt like a roman palace! Also besides the rooms theirs a few activities you can do such as paddle boarding, hiking, swimming, and biking.. all included with your stay : ). Theirs really few places like this around and I would definitely recommend. Only con is maintenance could be a little better but my visit was last year so hopefully theirs been touch up s.
Had an amazing time , no stress just fun and relaxation .. the CXO games were great and the pool party was so much fun . Everything looks so we'll kept landscape was beautiful and the pool was amazing . Can't wait to return .
Come here at least once a year, sometimes twice. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Rooms are a bit in need of attention but are great regardless. Fun little activities during the day to keep you occupied.
We booked through Expedia at a more expensive price (unknowingly). Expedia never sent our reservation over nor did we get our meal plan that we paid for. Thank God the hotel had a room ready. They gave us the meal plan out of kindness because they saw the price we paid. Never use Expedia, book directly with the resort. As for the stay it was great. The room could maybe use some updatinf but it was cool. We did the Tarot card reader Cassandra and she was AWESOME. She really was kind, fun, empathetic, compassionate and just all around nice. Band was good (Lion + Tiger) the comedian was good, food was good and staff were real nice. Thanks to the front desk staff at check in on 9/22 at 4:30 p.m. our overnight anniversary stay was great.
My bf and i just got back from celebrating our 4 year anniversary at paradise streams, we got the champagne tower all inclusive and it was definitely worth it, the champagne glass was amazing and the heart shaped private pool was perfect, the staff was so friendly and the games/shows at night were fantastic ! We even won the newlywed game ! We can t wait to be back in a few months !
Thought we'd celebrate our 10th anniversary where we originally honeymooned. Also thought we'd put out the extra money for the Champagne Tower... What a waste! Within a half hour of checking in, maintenance had to come to our room because the water temperature adjuster feel off when my husband took a shower. The dry sauna could not be used because the door was so warped it didn't even come close to closing. I couldn't check messages on my phone in the room because it didn't work and no one knew how to tell me to do it. Oh and when we were getting ready to check out, the bedroom ceiling was starting to leak. Everything else was nice, but the room was very disappointing for what it cost and there was no offer to comp or refund for any of the inconvenience... Not what it was 10 years ago by any means
So after 14 years in Philadelphia we needed to take some use it or lose it vacation. Looking for a no-fly trip we decided to run up to the Poconos and turned up Paradise Stream.
We went for three nights in the Diana's Oasis suite which has the infamous heart shaped jacuzzi and a nice warm mini-pool in a separate areas with a fireplace.
The resort is nice - the indoor pool area is good size and has a large hot tub and separate jacuzzi - perfect for a a friendly group.
Our room was perfectly clean and housekeeping was friendly and efficient.
My husband and I come to the poconos every year our past two stays weren't terrible and we enjoyed our stay. This year we checked in got our room went for a swim and found bugs in the pool room. Call the front desk, they switched us rooms gave us a late check out. Next day we went to breakfast, one of the employees was extremely unpleasant at the check in desk when we asked where breakfast was held. Breakfast was terrible and the wait staff was rude to me but nice to my husband. The following day we found ants once again since it was our last night we didn't worry about it because we planned on checking out early anyhow. We check out that morning and the staff didn't care that there's ants all through the room. Blamed it on the rain. I will not be staying here ever again was not impressed!!!!! Disgusted actually!
Room was great. Only a few things. Papers we were given said they offered breakfast in bed, which they don't. No microwave in room and the on-site kitchen is kind of expensive and only has a lunch / appetizers menu. We did find hairs in our bathroom shower. Other than this my new wife and I had a great time. Fun entertainment, nice nature walk and great option of going to other resort activities free of charge.
Very outdated. The hot tub was cracked and chipped on the inside. I don't believe anything has been updated since they opened it. Not the cleanest room I've ever been but I had the perfect company so none of that mattered. I definitely think it's overpriced and I wouldn't go back. Definitely expected more but again, I had great company and an excellent time anyway.
Was told I would get a renowned room, got here and the only thing different was a TV stand in the bedroom and I called the desk and they basically told me take or leave it
Great place..room was perfect bed was so comfy and the pool and hot tub were great ...beyond perfect for our anniversary...thank you for such a special weekend ...dinner was amazing
We loved this resort! Such a great place to relax and have alone time with your loved one. The food was amazing and the staff was friendly. Our only complaint would be the no dress code for the dining room. Beings that this was a romantic, not cheap, get away it would have been nice if 80% of the guest were not dressed in sneakers, leggings, sweatpants, and tee shirts at dinner!
We paid almost 900$ for the 4 night stay, $175 in "taxes and fees" When we arrived they charged another $112 in "fees"...I never figured out what for. We did not have any food included in this very high price. We used NO amenities because we were there to go to the races. The books in room were outdated so they didn't tell you much of value. The bathroom was beautiful and clean, amazing... the whirlpool heartshaped tub was nice and they told us we were "upgraded" to a room with a small kidney shaped pool in it, although the brochure said all rooms had a pool in them. There was a small fridge but no microwave. Room service was quick and the shrimp Po Boy was wonderful. There was a wood burning fireplace in the swimming pool room, gas and remote would have been nicer in my opinion. The gift shop was cute, the grounds were well maintained. Again, if we were honeymooners or a young couple it would have been amazing.. I chose the place for the location and no children.
We did not have a good experiene here. The sheets were dirty and we found hair between the bedspread and sheet - a lot of black hair. The sheets didn't feel clean. We threw the bedspread off, and pulled the sheets all down except for the one covering the mattress and there was a different colored hair there, too. It was also creepy having a jacuzzi/pool in the room next to ours. We slept with the light on and a chair under the door leading to it.
Omgggg.. I had an awesome experience here at paradise stream. I went for my honeymoon on November,2019. It was the best experience ever.. I was skeptical at first but I m so happy I chose this. From the check in - check out awesome ... The CXO Patrick was amazing with all the games we played, tours and etc. We will be going back soon. ALL INCLUSIVE BEST OPTION.
This place was awesome. I booked a room and then upgraded it to a Champagne Tower the day before we arrived....which was a very smart move. The room was awesome. A little warm in the upstairs when we arrived in the room, but it cooled off a bit by evening. We arrived early to just enjoy the place a little before checking in, but, luckily us, the front desk let us check in early, which was completely awesome of them. The lounge was great, as were the staff there. We went on a boat ride which was enjoyable. But with all the amenities in the room, why leave it? I had only one problem. A cricket found it's way into the pool in the room somehow. And while I was sleeping, a cricket found it's way onto my arm. Dont know of it was the same cricket and it kinda threw me for a loop, but the place was still worth the stay. My wife always wanted a Jacuzzi in a room, and this place delivered. Hell, a pool in the room also....Enough said.(Didn't get 5 stars because of the cricket.)
Stayed at the Garden of Eden resort and it was very nice, make sure to ask them about what's included when you get there since there's a game room open 24/7 and many activities you can do that are included with the room only fee. Room could be a bit cleaner, many of the towels has brown stains on them. Employees are very pleasant and nice and respond to your concerns immediately. Their drinks at the bar are very cute especially the one that comes in a frozen pineapple. Getting to the room is a little creepy if you're not a woodsy person and you're getting there past 8pm. Overall an amazing experience!
The location is perfect and is what keeps us coming back time after time. We visit when we can get 2-3 nights away from our insanely hectic schedules and decompress. This trip was significantly more stressful than in the past. We have always experienced incredible and friendly and efficient service at the Cove Haven resorts; going back 13 years now. We are Forever Lovers (now Gold members). During our last trip, we noticed that Paradise Stream seemed a little too quiet for a weekend, but we didn't take real notice of the downward turn.
This trip, although our room was delightful as always (despite the complete lack of water pressure in the shower), the service was atrocious and it really affected how we felt about the trip as a whole. Charday and Stephanie bordered on being rude at meals and were SO slow it was unreal. The bartender in the lounge the first night took over 20 minutes to get us two simple drinks. On the second night, we were alone in the lounge and it still took her over five minutes to acknowledge us. I was outraged that "all-inclusive" did not include a shrimp cocktail on Saturday night or anything other than a couple stale cookies for dessert on Friday night (at which the buffet choices were unappealing).
From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, I cannot describe a positive interaction with your staff (EXCEPT for the lovely lady in the Gift Shop -- she's a delight). When we checked out, the lady took my keys and then didn't even say "Hope to see you again." She muttered a dismissive "thank you" and then stared blankly at me. What really bothered us though was the SLOW service. It should not take 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee in the mornings during regular breakfast hours.
The "energy" of the resort seems diminished -- I think we saw a CXO one time and no one even offered dinner pictures on Saturday night. The food quality is not where it was 3 years ago or 13 years ago. Our next trip will probably be to Pocono Palace because while we LOVE the rooms, we are not likely to return to Paradise Stream. That is terribly sad for us to say because it has been our "happy place" for almost half our marriage. However, when we get our RARE time away, we cannot be stressed by awful service and feeling like we're imposing on your staff.
But we WERE thrilled that you finally added WiFi to the rooms!!!!
I had the... displeasure of staying at Paradise Stream Resort last night - 06.02.18 I have stayed in hotels, motels, and resorts around the state and this was by far THE filthiest facility (especially for the price!) I have visited yet! Diana s Oasis #512 - the in room pool, simply disgusting! It certainly hasnt been cleaned in who knows when! The orange algea and floating black substance were disheartening, then I noticed the broken ladder... really? Are there not mandatory inspections?! The bed was not even made correctly. Its round, the bed skirt is round, yet the sheets did not fit and were FULL OF HOLES! No class, none! Then the bathroom... HA! The amount of mold and mildew in the grout is stomach wrenching. Cant believe I HAD to stand in there to shower! The dirt and dust on the vent, next to the dirty toilet... seriously Ive seen cleaner bathrooms in a fast-food joint! And yes, I brought this to the attention of the front desk clerk when checking out this morning (EARLY! Before 8am! We didnt bother to use or stay to enjoy any outside amenities.) and his response was, sorry, we do the best we can. Period. I was blown away. Absolutely unacceptable! Wish I could post the pictures I took... no exaggeration!
Hotel is a little dated however it seems like it was recently renovated. The bed, cleanliness and general appearance was very good. There were some minor issues but nothing that would make us not stay again. The indoor pool for our suite (Diana's Oasis) was not very hot. It seemed as if it should have been a few degrees warmer. All in all the place was nice and quiet, good for a romantic night or two.
We have been to Paradise Stream several times including just a few weeks ago. We keep coming back because we love our time here. Don't let "outdated" confuse you -- it's part of the retro theme! Recent updates to flooring and furniture have definitely improved the quality of the rooms. Sure, there is always something that needs improvement but overall this resort offers a clean, fun getaway for you and your partner. We like that this resort is compact compared to the other Cove Haven resorts and everything is a short walk from each other. We prefer a casual meal in the nightclub with sandwiches and drinks. The steak sandwich and chicken parmigiana sandwich are absolutely delicious! The house made chips are pretty good too. We did eat dinner in the restaurant on one of our visits. The steak was a bit dry but not horrible. The dessert, however, was fabulous! Honestly, we really do just enjoy sandwiches in the bar as Spooners offers us the menu choices and vibe we enjoy. You can't go wrong with the breakfast buffet in the dining room with choices like scrambled eggs, toast, pancakes, seasoned potatoes, muffins, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage. You can also special order omelets from the kitchen. Everything is delicious and fresh. We have stayed in all the rooms except Diana's Oasis. The Garden of Eden Apple is our favorite! It's very spacious, the bed is comfortable, the pool is warm and the bathroom with its double vanity is very roomy for two people to share. The shower is a bit small, but serves its purpose. No matter which room you chose, you won't be disappointed -- Lakeside Villa with its outdoor space and view of the lake or the Champagne Towers with its spacious 3-floor layout and heart-shaped pool are good choices too. The staff is friendly and really do want to make your stay enjoyable. They are helpful and accommodating with any question or request you may have. Overall, your stay here is what you make of it. This place is definitely geared toward adults who just want to get away from the rest of the world, enjoy each other's company, have fun playing games and enjoying the entertainment and activities the resort offers. We plan to keep coming back Paradise Stream!
Ultimately, awesome experience. However, you need to know what to expect when booking. If you are looking for a Ritz Carilton experience, don't come here. If you are looking for an awesome weekend with you someone special, it's perfect. The place is self is slightly outdated but if you embrace that fact, it is extremely fun.
Rooms- we stayed in the Champagne tower room. It was extremely fun. Was it in pristine condition? No. But like I said, that's not why you should come here. There were several stains in the carpets and some chipped paint but you can't really expect any better for an older hotel. We brought our own cleaning supplies and washed the shower and hot tub ourselves( we were pleasantly surprised how they were perfectly clean before we did it anyway just to make sure). The bed was very comfy and clean. The pool in the room was nice, a little too warm however. We didn't use the suana but it looked nice and was clean. Biggest drawback would be the lighting. They need to replace the light bulbs with higher wattage bulbs because the room is very dark. Restaurant- As we said before, if you are looking for 5-star dinning, this isn't the place. But the food was still prepared well, the wait staff was very nice and Maria, the bar tender was extremely friendly.
Night club- the night club was very fun. Again it isn't a New York City night club, but the music entertainment was good and the CXO's couple games were very funny. The drinks are fairly priced too.
Activities- As I said previously, the resort is outdated, but that can be fun too. We played bocce ball and used the archery equipment. The mini gold is very outdated but still fun. The arcade was fun but a little too dark. We also played racket ball which was very fun.
Staff- the staff is extremely friendly and willing to help to make your experience better. Specifically, Maria at the night club bar and the one lady behind the front desk(don't know her name).
Drawbacks- The resort is outdated. The rooms are dark. Not the best location. The rooms are slightly over priced
At the end of the day, we had a great time. I absolutely recommend trying the resort out. We will definitely be back.
