Good service overall. My only complaint; Dont try and upsell a service that is not remotely required by Toyota. NO I am not going to flush my brakes, steering system and transfer case @ 45,000 miles. We bought Toyotas for a reason, this is not my Grandpa's '78 Buick. These truck dont need that service until 100k

I ve been going to Toyota Broadway for 5+ years and it s always been a great experience. Tuesday I dropped off my car for a service and single tire replacement (I bought my tires a little over a year ago from them, still under warranty) From Tuesday morning to Wednesday at noon I received 5 different quotes from Ian, my service advisor, ranging from $0-175. I had to ask repeatedly for the quote to be explained, with each explanation more confusing than the one before it. I called the service manager and was sent to voicemail, never getting a response.

After 24 hours of going back and forth and having to Uber on my own dime to get around, we agreed to a price. I then asked what time my car would be ready and my advisor did not respond. I again called the service manager and again went to voicemail, though this time I did receive a call back from John around 5:15, 45 minutes before closing.

Sadly, I won t be back again. Worth the trouble of driving from the Eastside to Beaverton Toyota to avoid going through that again.

Great service came in looking for a vehicle to purchase since it was my first time and they explained the process and all of the different options. I could not be more satisfied with the great service. Salesman Eric Sawyer was excellent in providing the best experience possible!!! Looking forward to coming back and recommending any of my friends looking for a vehicle.

Our rececent experience at Toyota of Portland took us by surprise. Normally buying a car is a hassle. However, the team working our deal made it seem so effortless. They went out of their way to make us a deal we couldn t refuse and in no time we were driving away in the vehicle we wanted.
I highly recommend this location for new or used vehicle purchases. The team members are great to work with!!

The service I received from Karina Lazaro was top notch. She took care of my needs, and kept me informed. My car died in the middle of the highway during rush hour and besides that initial stress everything else went like a breeze. They diagnosed my problem and had me up and running in no time. Thank you to everyone at Toyota of Portland!

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the service department is wonderful. Phone calls were not returned, promises were not kept, I was shuffled off onto sales people who did not have any say in anything though they were nice people. I was kept waiting A LOT and I had my time wasted and got stuck walking in the rain looking at cars they knew they could not get me into. Go to Gresham Toyota. WAY BETTER SERVICE.

I can't imagine a better car purchasing experience than the one we just had at Toyota of Portland. Our salesman, Chris, was hilarious and super easy to work with. He didn't make us feel pressured into anything, let us to look at as many cars as we wanted, and allowed us to take a test drive that really showed us see the car's performance in every area we could think of. Josh was awesome and worked with us through a relatively complicated title issue (at least for us!) to make sure we were able to take the new car home. They both went above and beyond to help us out and make everything as easy on us as possible. We are so thankful! I truly can't say enough good things.

First off, I live in WA. 286 mile round trip drive...

First off, I live in WA. 286 mile round trip drive to get to Portland. The ONLY reason why I would travel this far was for the Prius Prime which they will not be selling in WA and I have been dreaming of since roughly March. I'm willing to write Toyota off all together after this. I know that one person not buying from them won't change much but maybe posting my experience will help others.

I made an appt online Sat to come in Sun and test drive a Prime that they had. Less than 20 minutes later I started to receive the junk e-mails and calls that dealerships LOVE to send you when you say you are interested in a vehicle. I ignored a call from the sales rep Julie. Her voicemail said (Quoting directly from the voicemail, thank you Apple) Hi this is Julie calling from Toyota of Portland. I did receive your chat in about a Prius Prime we have here. It looks like you're going to be coming in tomorrow around 12. Well I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. If I do not get a hold of you today please give me a call back my number is [She says her # here and I'm not hateful enough to give that out]. Again this is Julie calling from Toyota of Portland thank you so much and have a good day bye-bye "

SO my question to you, reader, is that if you received that message you would be under the impression that you have an appointment with Julie the sales rep the following day at noon to test drive a Prius Prime, correct? Keep reading...

I called Julie the next morning to confirm my appointment and that they still had the car (I'm not unreasonable, I know vehicles can sell at random). The office didn't answer. I called Julie directly, with again no answer so I left a message saying that I will be in at noon.

Upon arriving to the dealership I was informed that Julie was out because of snow. Also, I wouldn t be able to test drive the Prime because it has not been cleared by the service center and has no oil. Needless to say, I was upset. I can understand if the car has to be inspected before it is allowed on the road, no worries. But don't send me on a 5 hour adventure! The salesman (who was really apologetic and very nice I wish I would have gotten his name. Long brown hair pulled back in a ponytail) said he could drive the car around front for me to look at. Hmm.... it's out of oil but you'll drive it around front?

I saw the car and feel that if I were to have seen the vehicle in a better mood I would have placed an order that same day. Being in a foul mood made me only really see flaws in the car (not that I could inspect it that well, it seemed like I would have gotten the salesman fired for even sitting in the car).

Today, I received a call from Julie. With no notes in my appointment, she wanted to make sure everything went smooth. She said Sunday is her scheduled day off so she was not able to make it in. WHY WOULD YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A SUNDAY IF YOU KNOW YOU HAVE SUNDAYS OFF?? Spending several minutes on the phone I came to the conclusion that she is an arrogant sales rep who needs to learn several key points of customer service. Admit when you made a mistake. Say you re sorry. Try to make it right. That is what customer service is all about. I have a customer service job too. I'm human, like Julie, so I also make mistakes (though hers certainly appears like an intentional mistake since you should know your days off and schedule accordingly). The difference is, when I am wrong, I admit that I am wrong instead of saying "I did everything on my end that I possibly could have done for you. No, Julie, you did not. You could have scheduled me for a day when you are at work. That would have been the very LEAST you could do.

I told a manager at my local Toyota about my experience and he said he will advise his staff not to refer WA customers to Portland Toyota for the Prius Prime. Salem Toyota will be receiving their business.

It's just a classic case of bait and switch. I had never even heard of this saying before posting about my experience with Toyota on social media. Sales reps like Julie give the good ones a bad name.

After working with two other dealers, we were ready to give up. My husband and I looked one more time and found a nice used dodge caravan being sold at Toyota of Portland. It was the least expensive vehicle on the lot yet we were treated with respect and kindness from the moment we entered the dealership. Our sales person walked us through the entire process and everyone seemed genuinely excited we were able to get financed aND drive away. We feel very blessed by Toyota of Portland and when we are ready to buy new, we will be returning to buy a Toyota. Thank you Pat and Rob for supporting us through the process!!!!!!!

Worked out a deal over the phone and got in my car. Picked up my friend and started driving there only to have them sell it while I m on my way there after they had put it in the back for me. Would have been my second car purchase there (first was new 2013 Tacoma)and will no longer be shopping at Toyota of Portland.

Update 4-1-19. New car at Gladstone Toyota. Thanks Broadway for sending us over.

Ian was really informative, friendly, and helpful. He wasn't bothered by my frequent questions, and explained everything in a kind and professional manner. He was also able to expedite me as a drop-in and had me out by the end of the day. Overall experience was very positive.

Bad experience, lies, deciept and MANY days wasted here.
My wife found a car here that she has wanted for a very long time. We went in knowing about what our credit was like and what we were willing to pay. We got the "we can do that" followed by the typical back and forth trying to get more money out of us. We finally found an agreeable number but they said they would have to wait the next day to get a solid answer from the bank. 5 hours wasted. We waited and hot no call. I called them and asked for the sales manager (Adam) who said he would call me back in a couple minutes, 3 hours later I called them still no one had an answer but we should have it ready in a couple hours. We drove over an hour each way then waited for 3 hours. They ended up saying we needed to wait until the next day. While this was happening we asked several times if we needed to put down a deposit to hold the car, we were told not to worry as the car wasn't going anywhere. The next day we get a call saying they can make the deal work but the bank says my wife can't be on the loan, they couldn't give a reason for this. We call the bank to get answers, the bank says they never received an application with my wife's name on it. When confronted the loan manager insisted the bank denied her on the loan. Why would they do this when my wife has almost identical credit to mine? I stopped in to get answers face to face, i waited 2 hours to talk to this guy. The dealership didn't submit it is what a different loan manager told me. This other loan manager also told me to wait another day and he will get me a better rate then what the first guy did. We waited...no call back the next day so I called and got no return call. I decide to drop in on my way home from work, waited several hours for him to say he will get an answer the following day. Noon the next day there is no call, I call them, the finance manager that was supposed to be working the "better" rate was not even at work this day. My wife decides to take things into her own hands and we apply with our own bank. It takes less than an hour to get an approval with a better rate. Why didn't we do this to begin with? The finance managers at this dealership told us we couldn't get a better rate than they can AND they said they already tried our bank and got a denial. So, after getting a yes from our bank my wife leaves a message with the dealership and says we will be there when I get off work to sign papers. No call back, no one dealing with our deal contacts us period. It's not easy for us to get down there on work nights so we didn't go as we got no call back. The following day I pull up the Craigslist ad where I originally found the car, the ad disappears from my saved list. Curious as to why, I text my wife about it. She calls the dealership and asks about the car. Guess what, it's been sold out from under us. After having two forms of financing available promises about better rates, promises the car will be there for us so we don't need a deposit and all the time wasted with this dealership and they don't even have the courtesy to let us know they've sold the car we've been trying so hard to obtain. No, we won't go back there and we WILL be sharing the poor customer service experience with everyone we know. If we wanted lies and deception we would have gone to 82nd to buy a car but these guys are obviously below that of the 82nd street criminal lots.

Worst experience ever. I found a Tundra on Autotrader from Broadway Toyota. I ended up filling out the form and inquiring for more info.

One of my concerns was the height of the truck. It had a small lift on it and I was a little concerned that it would not fit in the parking garage I use at work. The other was the cost. Before I wasted any time I wanted to confirm the cost.

Through a back and forth exchange of emails with multiple people I never got any awswers. It was actually a little impressive. Regardless, I decided to go in and checkout the truck. My whole experience there lasted 5 mins. I ended up getting some random sales guy - apparently everyone I had been communicating through email wasn t in. And he showed me the truck. The price was $10,000 more than advertised. The sales guy gave me some BS excuse as to why it was different. I called him out and walked out. Classic bait and switch!

Azhar Khan helped me and gave me the best costumer service I've had buying a car. I recently had an awful experience at another dealership. Stopped in on a whim. Met Azhar and left happy and with a Tacoma.

Don't believe the claims behind "Toyota Re-certified". This is a very mixed review.. on the one hand, the customer service at this dealership and service center is very good. However, I detected a problem with the car almost immediately, something that I was unable to detect on my test drive. After two visits back the service center, the problem appears to be resolved. However, my confidence in what they did to recertify the vehicle before selling it is severely damaged.

Drop off was busy and slightly slow, but otherwise, everything was great. I like the new system of going straight to the cashier for paying the bill and getting the vehicle. Much better than the old system.

It took a while (about 1 hour to locate the car we scheduled to come see). This was not the fault of Mitch who was helping us in the sales process and everyone was kind and apologized for it taking so long. Car was finally located and all is well. So far, very pleased with our purchase.

Horrible service! Made a appointment to test drive a car. The car wasn t available and no one address me when I came in the building. I had to track down a employee to help and it took 30mins to get any attention or help. Took a car out and parked it. When I try to drive it back it wouldn t start. The dealer never gave me his card so I had no direct contact. The dealership was a automated phone service and was calling for 45mins to get help. Been stranded for almost a hour and had to leave message to anyone in the directory. Final got a call back and still waiting to be picked up.

Without an appointment, I came to Broadway Toyota because I thought there was a problem with my Camry Hybrid. Curtis checked me in and had the 140,000 service done within an hour. Curtis is one of the nicest, understanding and good to clients. It takes me almost an hour to get to BT but due to good service and good people, I don't mind the driving. Thank you.

I called them for an appointment for my 09 RAV 4. ...

I called them for an appointment for my 09 RAV 4. They'd serviced it before and had done an average job, except forgetting to turn off the "Maintenance Light" after a service, causing some confusion on a trip to AZ. I took it back and they fixed it.

The receptionist transferred my call to the service department, and I spoke with a woman, telling her my name, the type of car I had and that the maintenance light was on, indicating I needed a 75,000 mile checkup. She made the appointment. I asked her if this was an involved service requiring a lot of time, and she said, "No, it's pretty routine, about an hour and a half or two." Fine.

I then got an email the next day, confirming my appointment and stating that the cost for this service was $99.70. Fine. At that point, I was assuming that Toyota and Broadway would easily service my RAV4.

I arrived on time and that's when the problems and confusion started. The young man who wrote up my service contract said the amount I would owe was something over $350. When I told him about the email, he searched but couldn't find that it had even been sent. He said the $99.70 was probably for a basic oil change, and checking fluid levels, etc. The higher priced service was, he said, the one Toyota recommended.

When I asked him how long the more expensive service would take, he wasn't sure, but said, "We'll do whatever you'd like us to do." I didn't know what needed to be done. I was merely following the maintenance light's warning, coming in to have my car serviced at 75,234 miles. After several minutes of discussion, I chose to just have the lesser service done, thinking that $99.70 was a bit high, but, not being a mechanic, I signed the paper and went to the Scion Cafe, the one good thing about this whole experience.

90 minutes later I was summoned to the "Service Desk" in the waiting room and given a bill for $49.95. So, three different prices for three different services, or...? Did they do the $99.70 service? Did they do only half of it and charged me $49.95? When I questioned the women at the service desk in the lobby, she said it was the computer's fault; she'd tried to fix it but was unsuccessful since it was new software. When I asked if this same software was installed at all Toyota dealerships, she said no. "Some do, some don't. It all depends".

Bottom line: It seems that "Broadway Toyota is" NOT "the only way to go. I'm going to Gladstone and Gresham. Driving the extra distance is worth it.

We had a great experience at Toyota of Portland. They did not have the model of Tundra that we were looking for in stock, but Renee (our sales associate) located the exact truck that we were looking for, and had it on their lot that same day. All of the other associates were friendly, helpful, and straight forward. Greg in the parts department was also great and hooked us up with some accessories. Will buy a Toyota from them again!

Disorganized service department. I have a sneaking suspicion I was charged for services that were not actually completed. $25 for a tire patch repair?! $30 for the tire rotation when I paid for a full synthetic oil change?! What a ripoff! Disappointing, considering I wanted to bring my new Toyota here regularly. I will not be going back to their service department again, nor would I consider buying a car here.

Found the car we were looking for and at a fair price. Toyota of Portland has you covered for financing if need and auto insurance if needed. Also got a follow up email from our salesman as our relationship with Toyota does not end with a sale. In addition got an email from the accessories manager to help get us anything we needed for our car. On the other hand they didn't fall through on many things and it was very hard to get anything done. I called many times to get no response and had to speak with the finance manager to get any response and matters resolved.

This dealership USED to be awesome. I bought my '15 Camry here and consistently brought it for service. About a year ago is when this place started going downhill in the service dept., with my most recent experience forcing me to no longer do business with them. Which is unfortunate because I wanted to buy a second Camry from them. The service dept. does unauthorized services and tries to secretly charge you for it. Luckily I caught it and called them out on my service total not matching what I had come to be completed. When I tried reaching the technician responsible, he refused to take my calls or call me back.

The finance dept. these days isn't much better. I've been contacted about refinancing my loan, but then when I refused to do a trade-in for a new Camry each sales rep discontinued all communication. This of course after 3 reps ran MULTIPLE inquiries against my credit which docked me 20 pts. I thought if I spoke with the manager of the finance dept., he would rectify the situation, but he too ghosted me. Tried contacting the GM. No go. This place is LITERALLY THE WORST in customer service. I'll be shopping at another dealership. Thanks for nothing Broadway!

Happy with our experience! For being a car dealership, it was super fast and cut and dry (in a good way!) Gave us the same amount their website claimed on our trade in which was $4k MORE than a previous lot we stopped at. Very happy.

Jade and Matt was extremely helpful in my truck buying experience at toyota scion of portland on Broadway. This was the best car buying experience of my life. Not only did I get a great deal on a great vehicle, Jade and matt made the experience very pleasant and very easy by having a great personality and being genuinely interested in what type of car I needed. They paid close attention to what I was saying and helped me to find the right car for me. I highly recommend Jade and matt to everyone who is shopping for an automobile.

Until recent visit, I was of better opinion about Toyota of Portland and was planning to start bringing my other vehicle dispute distance. However, my opinion was changed with number of factors I ve faced.
First when I brought my vehicle to drop off for recall repair, I could not find someone to help with drop off box. Whole bunch of people ignoring you and not offering any assistance. When asked someone at the desk person said I actually don t know where it is (key drop off) okay, response did not follow with something like, let me find out or anything like that. Okay so I walked out and all those sales people running on lot ignoring you because your not potential purchaser. Eventually someone directed me to drop box and I got my car dropped of. Dealer said they can provide uber/lyft within 7 mile distance and I thought to my self it s exactly 7 miles between dealer and Vancouver downtown.
Dealer worked on my car whole day next day.
So when I received notification vehicle is ready I asked them to send uber/Lyft to Vancouver, WA and I was told Vancouver is out of limits, but if I m willing to pay difference of $15 they'll send someone.
I said okay if Vancouver is out of limits, I ll walk over I5 bridge and wait for my ride and provided my location address. Once I got to location representative tells me it s surge pricing now and wants me to $45 difference due tu surge prices. I feel like dealer is bargaining service cost they promise to their customers. At that point I ve walked over bridge in rain just to find out no transportation will be provided. I end up making my wife, two of my kids and newborn come pick me up at Jansen Beach shopping plaza and sit in traffic for 40 minutes. This ordeal cause great science of I convenience not only to but to my entire family.
By the way when came to deal they said 10 miles is transportation distance they would pay for
I will avoid visiting or making any purchases from going forward.

The car I purchased is great.

The car I purchased is great.
But everything else has been... well mediocre.

First, the car didn't have floormats. So they took some out of another car. They don't match or fit right. Secondly, the battery died driving off the lot. Luckily they replaced it but geez. And third, Ive been waiting for my registration and its been 2 months with NOTHING. So i call and Im told its been mailed and I should have received it along with my new tags. After asking me of I've moved with the same "no" response I'm now told I have to go purchase replacement tags at the DMV. After spending nearly 17,000 the mere inconvenience is really frustrating. I honestly would not purchase another vehicle from here

The place best to buy a car! The person helped me was Abraham. He was really friendly and kind. He explained perfectly well about the exterior and interior of the car. Also, some tech stuff that was in the car. I was delighted to buy my first car at Toyota and I appreciate every single thing about it.

I was a walk in visit on a Saturday around 9am. Drop off was quick and easy. ETA for completion was 11:30am which was surprising being a walk in on a busy day. Advisor Josh was friendly and professional. Was alerted at 11:15am our car was ready. Pick up and check out was also easy, quick and great service provided.

SERVICE Dept. related: I had my older 94 pickup serviced ((08-2011) a dash board light) and they charged me a bit to much for what a small job it was ($102), but I had to get it done. 10 being the best I would rate the experience and value a 3 (and I give them this rating with realistic expectations) -- in part because it cost so much, took about 5 hours, and mostly because there was a lot of inappropriate, multiple stories from employees and aggressive up-selling of other products by multiple service people. I have owned nothing but Toyota's all my life and do as little business with dealer service dept.'s as possible. This experience reminded me of why. Thank you.

These people are true professionals. Walk-ins may wait awhile, but if you make a service appointment you won't be there longer than an hour. They are respectful, efficient, and attentive. They do a great job and honor their appointments. Respect their time and they will respect yours, something that is becoming more and more rare. Thank you for continued excellent customer service, Toyota Portland!

I took my car in on a Saturday to have some routine maintenance done. They did the service and told me my taillights were out. I had to bring it in the following Tuesday because the part needed to be ordered. Drew helped me Saturday and was great. I dropped my car off Tuesday, no problems. They offered to pick me up when my car was ready. Tony helped me on Tuesday. Great service both days. Seamless drop off and pick up. Broadway Toyota is the best Toyota I have been to. I have had service at all in the Portland-metro area and Vancouver.

I made contact with the dealership via internet. They were very quick to respond. I knew exactly what vehicle I was seeking and they found one right away (not in their inventory). They emailed me the window sticker and the MSRP matched exactly what my research showed. Their response also included the price they offered which was below MSRP. I met with a salesman and after some dickering I got what I believe to be a fair deal for the vehicle and my trade-in; not a great deal but a fair one. No high pressure tactics from salesman or the finance guy. Bottom line - I'd go there again.

I made a noon appointment for an oil change. I arrived at 11:50 and waited for 40 minutes before anyone would speak to me. For 30 of those minutes I was first in line . Suddenly, one of the people who had been ignoring me for over a half hour checked me in within 2 minutes. Three hours later I was not notified that my truck was ready, as they left a message on the voicemail of a wrong number . Once I got through the chain of 4 different phone operators that seems mandatory before reaching someone who can assist you, I was told a Lyft would be sent for me. Twenty minutes later when I called back and went through the chain I was told they sent it to the wrong address , actually their own address. I m baffled by the lack of efficiency and rudeness of 6-7 people sitting at a desk ignoring me and refusing to help me for 40 minutes. Now, twenty minutes after checking out, I ve been directed to stand outside in the wind and rain and wait for them to return my truck. When i went back inside to ask what is taking so long they told me to go back outside. Still waiting. The oil change was free but the whole experience was not worth it.

Developed a problem- strange fan type sound behind dash - checked fluid reservoir for power steering fluid & it was not just empty but dry!. Can't drive to shop, physical limitations prevent walking -- CS person Kyra arranged for Toyota courtesy driver Rubin to bring me power steering fluid so I could get to shop. Now, as simple as that sounds, that is some GREAT customer service.
