As a first time buyers, my husband and I were very hesitant to step foot in any dealership. We dropped by at several spots and felt very pushed and pressured - at this point we felt like waiting off. We gave this last spot a shot. In search of a Tacoma we debated on several models and prices. Chris here was very professional, upfront and very knowledgeable. Answered all my questions and was able to patiently help us find the right truck. Without being the pushy sales person we had dealt with previously. The whole process was super easy and all of his team worked together to get our truck ready. We are all smiles today! :)

Thanks Toyota-Scion of Portland!

Probably the best experience I have had buying from a dealer. Can't say enough about the professional, helpful, and patient employees. Directed to sales via parts guy after a discussion regarding Tundra choices. Yesenia was my sales representative. She got exactly the vehicle I wanted, and guided me through the process. Expeditious comes to my mind. Also the finance manager Josh took me through the process covering an incredible amount of info in a very short time. Very happy with my experience, Definitely 5 star

We found a new leak in our floorboard of our Highlander. Last time it was clogged drains from the sunroof. They had our car for almost a week. It was very aggravating. This time they got us right in and found the new problem with in 2 hours. After approving the work that needed to be done to the AC, our car was finished and ready for pickup by 2! I couldn't believe it. The staff we dealt with we're all great, especially our advisor, Josh. We have to see how it holds up after the rain tonight, but I'm already so much happier from this experience. I'll update tomorrow with the results. Hopefully a dry floorboard!

Alejandro and Mo are my heroes! I had to sell my 2016 Prius Fast because I was moving to Germany in two days and when o went to carmax they really low balled me and made me feel pretty crummy. The moment I walked into Toyota of portland they greeted me warmly and helped me settle everything with my car so efficiently and quickly I was amazed. Thank You soooo much for you professionalism and compassion. I cannot recommend this place enough

Terrible Service!!!!Appointments don't matter or mean anything. I've been going to the dealership for the last eight years and service has always been great. Now, ever since the ownership change, the service isn't the same. Customer service has been rude several times when I have called and service area is terrible! Earlier in the week I made an appointment for a oil and lube service. When I arrived they said it would be a 3 hour wait. What!!! Three hours wait with an appointment, for a standard service. That's crazy. So left and went to another company to have my service done. They heard the same story form another person earlier in the week about them also having a 3 hour wait. You just lost a loyal customer and will be taking my business elsewhere!

I had no appointment, just showed up for an oil change mid-morning. They fit me right in and it was completed within an hour. The service team are very helpful and ready to answer any questions regarding the service, recalls and potential future repairs. My only suggestion would be to add a water drinking station in their waiting room.

Great customer service, I arrived late in the day on a Saturday to have my 30k service and they were able to work me into the schedule prior to closing. Up beat attitude and friendly service A+

I have been going to this place to get my car service for years. The last time the service advisor tried to SCAM me for additional services while I already called in to schedule with another service advisor. Called the service manager to complain and left a voice mail. Never called back, so I wouldn't be going back. Good luck with the new owners of this dealership.

Please note: Toyota of Portland asks you to rate them 5 stars, and if you don't want to, to contact them to solve the issue for you. On the surface, that may seem like good service, but really, I think it skews their positive rating unnaturally higher.

I have sent them an email about our experience and several days later, have not heard back from them.

I think we got an adequate deal. It was about $250 below the market average for Portland, based on the Truecar average. We had to negotiate pretty hard to get that, which was annoying because the internet is supposed to make car buying easier, not harder.

The frustrating and confusing part of our experience was after we had negotiated the price. We spent a total of two and a half hours after we agreed on the price of the car. and we paid cash (plus a trade-in) for the car.

We had to put up with the hard-sell of service packages, and strangely, the finance guy forgot to ask us for the check? And it was only after we were completely done with the paperwork and he had shaken hands and ushered us out of his office that my husband asked, "Did you want us to write the check?" "Yes. That'd be great," the guy said.

Even after the business portion of the car buying experience was done, we waited an extra hour for them to "detail" it.

Our sales rep did not keep us informed about what was happening, but instead mostly disappeared, so we were left in the showroom just standing around for literally hours.

The detail guys apparently were washing their own cars, and didn't get to ours so finally, one of them took our car off the lot to a local car wash to clean it. What if he had scratched it? Would we have been liable? They had sold it to us by that time.

They have 85 minute countdown clocks- you're supposed to be able to buy a car within 85 minutes? In total, we were there six and a half hours.

We are in the market for my husband's car now, and we are going to look elsewhere.

They like to waste time. Their products are not up to standard. If you want a sermon that is not church related then come here. I told them I was a on a budget and if they could lower the price on a car. A simple no would have been great, instead they had me test drive it and making it seem that they would, but they didn t. They were asking for full price for a car that was so damaged from the inside that I was perplexed that someone would pay so much for it. Seats destroyed, seatbelt chewed up, red pen marks on the beige ceiling, and giant crack in the back. Not to mention multiple scratches on the outside. Again, if you like wasting hours of your time for no good reason, then do come in.

Worst service ever, I originally gave them a 5 star last month because service was great, well I thought until now. I scheduled an appointment to get an oil change, went in even with an appointment it took 2.5 hours for servicing including wait time. Today my maintenance light comes on, hmm I call them to see what exactly did they do to my car last month. Apparently nothing, just rotated my tires and was going to get charged 49.99 but since I was there right at happy hour it was 19.99 for an oil change that they never did. Now I have to go back in again to get an oil change because they denied my request last month but still charged me and lie to me saying they did an oil change and even put a new sticker reminder. Better off going to Jiffy Lube for oil change.

Our salesman was great. Super friendly and relaxed. The sales manager was a bro and frankly a jerk. He wouldn t budge on 450$ right after he told us he takes a yearly trip to HI. If it wasn t for or friendly, neighborhood salesman we would have gone somewhere else. I recommend shopping here but watch out for the red headed bro with a beard. He s a piece of work.

Broadway Toyota has the best service! I have been a loyal customer since 2007. They have helped towing and providing a rental car so i did not miss any time from work. Now they have helped me get the most value from my trade in and also help find the the best used vehicle!

Thank you for all your help and strongly recommend their location to everyone!

They took 2 hours to do a scheduled oil change... My walk in for my last oil change, around the same time and day, took 30 minutes. I've been told that Gresham Toyota treat their customers better than Portland's. I'm probably going to just start going there even though it's out of my way.

Three stars because this business seems very average for being in the heart of Portland. I say this for a few of reasons. When we left the lot after buying the car, I noticed the fuel was completely empty so immediately had to go to the gas station and waster $50. The salesman couldn't get the rear camera to work. It is also very hard to get to even though it is in the middle of the city since the traffic is horrid which makes you not want to go on a test drive. On the flip side the place was clean and had a nice waiting room.

Bought a Tacoma from Minh Nguyen and he couldn't have been more great! Everyone here was absolutely fantastic through the entire process. I'd buy 10 more trucks here if I actually needed them.

Everyone was very nice and professional, but I didn t have a great experience at Toyota today. I came in for a scheduled appointment to have an issue with my car s broken radio diagnosed. It took over 5 hours and cost $165 for them to look at my car and tell me that my radio is broken and needs to be replaced. Not entirely sure why it takes 5 hours and that much money to tell me something I already knew.

I came to Toyota of Portland to buy a RAV4 and I had a great experience here! I was shown every car they had that I was interested in and I was not pressured into any specific model. They make sure you re getting the car you want and making a purchase that s smart for you. I will definitely be back for any services and future car purchases :)

They went above and beyond! Went in for a routine oil change and I had just received my plates the night before and had left them on the car floor (who knows when I would've gotten time and tools to get them set up...), so I was so thankful and pleasantly surprised when I picked up my vehicle and they had installed my plates! Thanks so much guys! Shout out to Mike Taylor for awesome service! :)

Daniel and his manager Daniel were phenomenal when taking care of us while we purchased our car. We went to the dealership to test drive a Highlander to see if we wanted to purchase a used one and we ended up not being able to beat the price of a new one with the warranties. Daniel was very knowledgeable and gave us outstanding customer service. When we were shopping for a car a year prior we went to the Vancouver Toyota dealership and had the WORST customer service so we were hesitant in attempting to buy a Toyota again. We are incredible happy that we went to Toyota on Broadway. Best car buying experience of my life.

I was able to get an appointment the next day, I was received promptly upon arrival, discussed the services, and then given a ride to my work and picked up when the car was ready. The staff was incredibly professional and friendly. I was blown away!!!! It was the best car service experience I've ever received.

We have dealt with Toyota of Portland several times and have always been pleased with their service! This time was no exception. We were treated respectfully and courteously by every person with whom we came in contact. Misael provided exceptional service.

Short Version:

Short Version:
This place is a case study in many of classic bad dealership tropes that plauge this industry. Never coming here again. Suggest you wouldnt either.

Sale process:
-There was no transparency about the paperwork, process or who the contact was for after the sale.

- Sales person (Lee Song Champion) made some jokes that I definitely did not feel comfortable with, seemed tech illiterate and disorganized. Asked me, for my phone number 7 times within the course of 10 minutes for various reasons. I counted.

Organization:

-Multiple balls got dropped with the paperwork, then after things went wrong, getting someone to actually follow through and own the problem has been near impossibility.

Culture:

- Sales department felt like they would grind up and sell their grandmother of it would give them a commision.

- I spoke to sales, service, front desk, and finance. Every person I spoke to felt like they didnt know how to communicate laterally, with zero issue tracking. Couldnt imagine the chaos that it must be to work there and how much waste that creates for their business. Their leadership has some serious work to do.

My wife and I dropped off a Toyota Camry for an oil change on a Monday around 11:30am. The service department provided us with a complimentary Uber ride to another place and a ride back to the service department when the oil change was done. It took less than 1.5 hours and cost $60. Even if it s cheaper to do the oil change ourselves, sometime you can t put a price on convenience. The technicians noticed that one of the bulbs were and noted that to us and told us the price to replace it. Overall pleasant experience working with this dealership.

Will say anything to get you in. Verified that a used car they had listed on Craigslist was available before going in. Took a 2 hour drive there to take a look at it. Half way there, texted to verify that the car was still available...it was. Got there and texted asking where to park...they said come in. Went in and identified myself and the salesperson knew who I was and had been waiting for me. Said I wanted to look at the car and the salesperson took me to a desk and started trying to sell me cars over $4000 more than the one I came in to see. I asked about the car and the salesperson said "oh, it sold a couple hours ago and just drove out". Anyone who has purchased a car from a dealer knows that it takes more than a couple hours to get the car ready for delivery, get the paperwork done, go through all the options and service contracts that they want to sell you without even more time if you want to finance. Basically, the car was gone before I ever called and they were willing to do whatever it took to get me into the office, honest or not. Within minutes of leaving I was getting calls and text messages begging me to come back, offering other cheaper cars, discounts, etc. Finally went to Tonkin Chevrolet and bought a Prius they had on Cragislist. It was there, available to drive and I bought it without a hassle.

We had a great experience today at Broadway Toyota. Our salesperson, Thai went above and beyond and truly gave great service. We ended up purchasing instead of looking all due to the service and care from Thai. Word to management: He is a hard worker and great for your business. We hope he is paid well and appreciated.

I appreciated Graham's help. Creating a maintenance appointment was easy, checking was easy. I could leave my car through the day and pick it up at the end of the day...maintenance complete. It was easy to get texts ...so I wasn't worried about missing phone calls.

I just had my new Prius in for its first service....

I just had my new Prius in for its first service. This is my second Prius purchased and serviced by Toyota of Portland. The location is at and or near the intersection of I-5 & I-84, the Portland Streetcar & Max Light Rail, about 3 bus routes, and NE Broadway & NE MLK. The employees are friendly, helpful, fast moving, efficient, and know their jobs. I was greeted with in 3 seconds of driving into the service department and was asked if I would like a coffee or water while I waited to be seen. Then she walked me over to my service writers desk. 2 minutes later I was free to explore. Took about a 5 block walk. I wandered through the biggest Ace hardware store I've seen, stopped at the 7-11 for lottery tickets and a bottle of water, then settled in at Sizzle Pie, one half a block from Toyota of Portland, for a slice. I had just finished my slice when they called to tell me that my car is ready. Perfect.

I purchased a certified pre-owned RAV4 at this place few days ago. Jason Jenista was very professional and easy going. Josh was the finance manager who helped me with the finance and purchase paperworks. Overall it was a satisfactory experience with this car dealership. However, I am still concerned about the warranty. At the time of purchase I was offered to buy a Warranty from Protective but I rejected it because it was highly overpriced. In the end, they made me sign on the BUYERS GUIDE stating NO WARRANTY although it showed otherwise on the car earlier that day. I'm not so sure what does this mean. As far as I understood, all certified pre-owned vehicles come with 1 year of comprehensive warranty, 7 years of Powertrain warranty, 1 year of roadside assistance and 2 years of Toyota care. At the end of the purchase I requested a copy of this warranty but Josh told me that there is no warranty copy, everything is registered with the VIN number. Earlier today (March 8, 2016) I called the Toyota Assistant Center and addressed the warranty issue, the person I spoke with said the dealer should provide a copy of warranty of certified pre-owned cars. At the moment he couldn't find any file in the system relating to the warranty of the car I purchased but, it might be a matter of time since I only bought the car few days ago. I will follow up on the warranty issue and update my comment later when everything is clear.
My advice to buyers is do comprehensive research before you agree on a deal. The sales manager (not sales rep.) can be very pushy and unkind, but you have to stand up for yourself and say no if you are unsure about something. Don't let their words cloud your judgement.

As a business owner, customer service is paramount. Today I called Toyota of Portland to speak to a service advisor to discuss some service costs and options. Receptionist transferred me to a generic voicemail, called back and same thing. Called a 3rd time and asked specifically to speak to a human in the service department. Was transferred to a human who immediately transferred me to another voicemail option.

This dealership ruined my life-time prior great experience with Toyota. They have under-trained sale specialists and horrible costumer service. Based on my own experience with this dealership I believe if you are not an American, you shouldn't expect to be treated respectfully here!

Service has always been great. We've used Broadway Toyota (now Toyota of Portland) with our 2002 Sienna, and now with our 2015 Sienna which we bought new here. Today they did a full service oil change, with extensive inspection and tire rotation. Because it took longer than it should have, they made no charge, and threw in a free car wash. I'd recommend them to anyone. I always feel like they want to do the right thing.

I ll never use them again it s a terrible dealership. They re more concerned with what additional items they can sell you on top of the vehicle you just purchased; extra warrantees for nonsense you don t need. I came prepared and preapproved and my salesman knew this; well, evidently finance didn t get the memo so they ran three hard inquiries on my credit report, and even though my credit score is over 800, it s not the point. Get your team together on the same page! They re very dismissive when you bring something to their attention or have an issue. They only want that sell and when they have it- they re done with you! Two thumbs down.

From the time I drove into the service bay to picking my vehicle up the next day- each person I interacted with were positive and professional. During this experience the stand- out person was Nicholas Oliveria- met with me, listened to my concern and even given bad news they would have to keep my vehicle overnight- he was understanding - arranged an UBER home and back and connected me with a loaner car. Vermin do expensive damage to the electrical components, but knowing I ll be interacting with professional staff at PDX Toyota- it s almost even!

Very quick service, despite our short notice of interest on the vehicle. They worked to get the deal we were comfortable with. Very happy to have Thai and financial advisor (we forget his name. Sorry!) help us. I was given recommendations to buy Toyota Portland , and so far, not disappointed

All in all a very nice car buying experience. Worked with salesman Willie Pugh. Friendly and honest. Had done research beforehand and knew that they were selling the used 2005 Scion I had bought above blue book value, so they met me closer to the blue book price. One of the keys they gave me didn't work; I brought it up immediately, and, though I did have to go back in later to have them make another key, they did so free of charge.

I'm extremely frustrated with this dealership. I've had a total loss in August and now in June still having trouble contacting the financial manager. My lienholder has been trying contact them. The majority of messages left by me and all of the messages left by my lienholder go answered. I'd suggest the Ron Tonkin on 122nd. Customer service is 100% better. I won't make this mistake again.

Worst dealer ever. One of the employee promised to sell the Corolla at a particular price if I bought the car at the same day. After hours of negotation over the phone and after agreeing at a price, I get a phone call at the very end to hear that they gave me a very low price at which they can't do the deal. WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER. Will never recommend anyone to buy from this place. The guys at Gresham Toyota are a mile better where i bought the car from. Buy from anyone else except for Broadway Toyota.

A couple days ago I got a flat tire, so I took my Camry to Toyota of Portland to get a new one. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, personable, and professional. Cody in service helped me with my tire. He explained that the tire my car needed wasn't at the dealership but that they could order it and have my car back to me by the next day. He even got me hooked up with another business they work with to get a chip in my windshield repaired while my car was in the shop. I got set up with a rental car and Cody kept in contact with me to let me know what the status on my car was. This was overall a very positive experience.

Got my car serviced here and received good service. I did have a salesman rudely walk across the street in front of my car in the dark. I nearly hit him because I didn't see him at first and he wasn't crossing at a corner. He seemed very arrogant as he slowly crossed in front of me after I slammed on my brakes.

I had my first deeply negative experience at Toyo...

I had my first deeply negative experience at Toyota of Portland. So much so, I m considering going somewhere else for routine maintenance and oil changes. I had scheduled a 2pm oil change and 95,000 maintenance service (because a service card reminder was sent to my house & my mileage was over my oil change sticker). Even with having an appointment, walk-ins were accepted before me. When I was told that my appointment would take 90-minutes, my appointment wasn t complete until 5:35pm. My oil wasn t changed even though I requested it to be done. I wasn t notified about this until check out. It took over 3.5 hours to rotate my tires. I have a missing windshield wiper and they said all of my blades were fine... I left feeling deeply offended that my time was taken for granted.

I feel that Ian was a fantastic service advisor. Yet, I feel like Ian was clearly trying his best & was overworked. It was painful to see Ian do his best to quickly help everyone while I saw 10 other Toyota workers just standing/sitting around. Seems like a management problem to me. If anyone could have communicated these things to me (not changing my oil, time taking longer than predicted), I could have adjusted my day appropriately. I m so upset.

My hope by leaving this review that this is a wake up call that Toyota of Portland needs to take people s time more seriously & be more open to communicating with their clients about timelines. Not send mixed messages about needing to get service/oil change then not doing it when I m there. (I wrote this review privately, twice to Toyota of Portland to see if they can somehow make this wrong a right before posting on social media... no reply.) Not getting the oil change I clearly needed, not getting windshield wipers I needed, and being there 2 hours beyond the time estimate was a horribly offensive experience.
