I was a regular customer for nearly 8 years, when I took in my 2010 RAV4 for servicing on 9/30/2020. Unfortunately, I had to get to work and left it overnight. My car was stolen off their lot, in broad daylight the next day. I was first told the keys were in the shop but they did not have a video security system that would confirm how the theft happened. Their alarm system was apparently never tripped.
They were sincere, and offered a deal on a new car, and shame on me, I fell for it. However, once I requested the keys of the old RAV, they were unable to produce them. I was told that they never were in the shop. That the employee that parked the car dropped them somewhere between the lot and the shop.
I was appalled and felt taken advantage of.
I returned my new car and demanded my money back, which they granted.
The entire thing was fishy and reeked of an inside job. It s a great and convenient location for car servicing, but also a great location for car theft and an easy place to get on the freeway and far from the border before anyone knows the car is even missing. Think twice about using this dealer.

I bought a Prius C 2015 from here few days ago. My prior sales experience with dealerships was not so pleasant, but here they changed my mind.

Tbh, I dont like sales overall, but here they worked with me and tolerated my a$$. I really appreciate that. AJ, my sales rep was very cooperative and to the point, just like i wanted. He listened and worked hard to meet my needs. That was nice.

The sales manger came and checked on me. The finance manager was also pleasant to work with even in late hours. They made it work even with a tough credit. I am so grateful. Thank you Toyota of Portland for the great service and the nice ride.

The experience could not have been better. I was an out-of-state buyer from CA and they had all the paperwork and taxes handled for me and submitted to my local DMV. The prices are much better in Portland and well worth the drive back to the Bay Area. I worked with Dylan(who I highly recommend asking for) prior to flying up and we negotiated everything over the phone and via text. I arrived at noon on a Friday and was leaving the lot at 2:30pm in my brand new Prius Prime. Best car buying experience to date. I'll see you guys next time about adding that Supra to the garage ;)

I leased a car from Toyota of Portland 3 years ago and have had consistently difficult experiences working with them since. After a negative leasing experience, I was eventually able to work out an agreeable resolution with the Customer Relations Manager at the time. Unfortunately it took months of follow up and a formal complaint to the Toyota HQ Customer Experience Center for me to get a response from the Customer Relations Manager to be able to come to this solution.

At the end of my lease, I had a similar negative experience. This time it took 2 months of follow up, another formal complaint to Toyota HQ, and a negative review for me to eventually get a response from the General Manager. During this process, sales associates hung up on me, department managers were belligerent over the phone, and the new Customer Relations Manager promised she would call me back twice but she did not. In the end, the General Manager DID get back to me and provided a workable solution.

I imagine that most people wouldn't want to (and shouldn't have to) work as hard as I did to get a response and a solution from Toyota of Portland. I still cannot recommend this business - but wanted to update my review with a fair report that they DID eventually provide a solution in both cases.

I just purchased my second car from Broadway Toyota....I highly recommend sales person Rod Shogren. Have had him as my sales person twice. He is the best. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and is patient with all of the questions that are asked....he is always available via phone. He has been with Toyota for many years and knows all of the in's and out's....Always ask for Rod if you want excellent service!

I had such a great experience with Daniel. I have worked with Toyota Broadway for my last 2 cars so I didnt hesitate going again. I would say he was the top dealer I've met there. We looked at different cars and he listened to what I liked about each and we ended up finding a great deal. This car has everything on my list and more. They found me the perfect Toyota Camry and even got the financing done quickly so I could drive it to work the same day! Love them and will recommend to anyone buying a vehicle!

This was the worst customer service experience I could have imagined. At a minimum, when someone is trying to buy a car and the dealership says "Let me check our inventory and call you right back"--you need to call the customer back. Never happened. Even worse, it wasn't some random sales associate--it was the sales manager.

Even after calling the sales department asking for the manager to call me back again--I received no response. The General Manager should be embarrassed about his staff. I ended up buying from another dealership, was treated respectfully, and got a better deal. It would be difficult for me to ever recommend this place to anyone else shopping for a car.

Kazam was my salesman and did an excellent job on selling me the Tundra Rock Warrior. To tell you the truth I was only coming in to buy a lower graded model of the Tundra. But he helped my fall in love with the Rock Warrior you had in your showroom. I had a great experience, Kazam walked me through every little detail, and answered all my questions with honest answers. Dashboard light came on ...contacted these guys for my 2006 Prius.. they kept me calm regarding possible problems, ...was it driveable, costs, repair time, etc. etc.
OMG! They found time, free diagnostic, several phone calls later.. low oil(even though it was not the oil light)... I left there having paid $6. Really! You are honest, efficient, and SO helpful...'will be back again!!! Thank you!

They offered a courtesy ride home. Screwed it up. Didn t fix until I followed up. Twice. Then when time pick up the car, they didn t answer my text (they texted me). They did send a car once I called. Then, after I paid, they once again told me to wait and didn t bring the car around until I went back and asked again. Summary: 3 times for me to wait, I had to follow up 4 times to get them to do what they said. Very frustrating.

My 2005 Prius finally needed a repair (in 2012) - a replacement headlight. I read up on how to do it myself; it's pretty straightforward but I don't have a dry place to work, and most of the forum posts indicated this would cost ~$150 to do at a shop. I did find a shop for $150 (to do the pair), then another for $50, and then I figured I should try the dealer for comparison. They did it for FREE (I supplied the halogen bulbs) while I waited. I have had plenty of other fine experiences at Broadway Toyota with routine maintenance and oil changes, but Free definitely made an impression!

So, I pretty much hate the whole car dealership structure, and wish buying cars was straightforward like with Tesla or CarMax. Toyota of Portland's service department though almost makes me reconsider my stance. Service is cheerful, prompt, professional, and I never feel like they are trying to hoodwink me with unneeded repairs. My poor experiences at many other car dealerships almost made me never bring my Toyota here, but the amazing service here has made it the only place I bring my car for repairs.

Very stress-free truck buying experience. No sales pressure at all!

UPDATE #1: Went from 5 stars down to 1.
Bought a 2016 Frontier from them middle of April 2018. Sale went smooth, no issues. When my plates arrived, one day after their trip permit expired, they were for the wrong vehicle. I called and left a message with the title department Friday at 4:45, called back and talked to a salesperson about it and got transferred to another voicemail. Went online and chatted with someone about it who sent the info to somebody. Since I needed to actually drive the truck I purchased, go figure, and their trip permit had expired, I bought a 3 day trip permit for $30 and mentioned when I did so that I had gotten somebody else's plates.

I finally got a return phone call from the title clerk Monday morning. My plates and registration are at a specific DMV office that closes at 5PM. When I asked about getting reimbursed for the $30 for the trip permit, I was told that Broadway Toyota would NOT reimburse me because it was a DMV mix-up. I got to DMV and picked up my plates and asked about the reimbursement. I was told that if I had asked for one, DMV or Broadway would have given me a 15-day "walk away" for free. Somehow this screw up is now my fault and I should have known when I went into the DMV to get the 3 day trip permit, I should have asked for a free 15-day "walk away"? I paid $30k for a truck and through no fault of my own, everybody agrees that the DMV screwed up, I'm out another $30.

From a customer service perspective, the first thing out of the title clerks mouth once the screw up was discovered, should have been an apology, followed closely by an offer to reimburse me the $30. Instead I was told to take the plates I did get and run them to the specific DMV and they would have the plates I was supposed to have gotten. She also stated that since it wasn't her screw up, Broadway Toyota was NOT going to reimburse me the $30.

After leaving the DMV, I called Broadway Toyota again and asked to speak to the used car manager. I explained the situation to him and asked about getting reimbursed the $30. He put me on "hold", but actually just set the phone down and proceeded to complain about why does he always get these calls and who should I transfer him to. Again, no apology, just bitching about having to be a manager. He supposedly took a message for the finance department to get back to me. I'm not holding my breath. I fully anticipate having to actually go there in person tomorrow to get this resolved.

Given all of this information, I have just one question for Broadway Toyota upper management, WHY IN THE HELL WOULD I EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN?

UPDATE #2: I have been issued a check and had several nice chats with some folks at Broadway Toyota. I will continue to do business with them at this point in time.

This door is Running With Pride and the appearance of the property and the building show it. Professional staff how do you get the car that you deserve in life to drive. Their salesman really go all out make sure that you drive away is a new car that you're waiting for. Staff is very educated and all the performances of every car that they have. Your service staff is stellar. Big lie their way to make sure that you right away fix car that you are happy but how it was done. I give these guys a five stars because they heard that. They also work with the community they have people around the buildings in the ground area that I experiencing some hardships. Their staff I've turned into the people and keep app that professional standard that they I'll hold. Then I just friendly and accommodating people to the customers they're friendly and accommodating people to their community. Stop on down you won't be disappointed, tell them Leggs sent you!

I had my passenger side mirror on my Prius broken off (so I taped it back on and took it to Portland Toyota where I get all my work done). Since this is no longer the old days they initially told me that the mirror (still good) and it s plastic mounting were all one piece, so no savings there. When I got the car back, they were able to use my old mirror saving me $$ and less to go back into the environment! Prompt and excellent customer service!

Hashim at Toyota of Portland was perfect. I have been trying to help my elderly father purchase a car for about a year now. He is incredibly frugal, and always regrets every major, often minor, purchase decision that he makes. I took the lead on this purchase decision, as I have experience with purchasing cars and decent knowledge in cars. A lot of salespeople only like to deal with the decision- maker, but Hashim treated it very well, even seemed to embrace it!

In total, we visited the dealership 3 times, over the course of 3 weeks. At no point did Hashim get pushy, or even show any signs of impatience. He took his time and answered all of my father's questions.

He would follow- up with me to make sure we didn't have any questions, but did not do it so much that I felt inconvenienced.

We ended up getting a great price, on a great car. My Dad finally replaced his 1998 Subaru Legacy wagon with a 2018 Toyota Camry. As he had his last car 20 years, it is obvious he does not like buying cars. I thought we would never get him into a new vehicle, but we did, because Hashim handled the process perfectly. The best part is that my Dad left feeling that he was treated fairly and honestly. I did not even think that was possible. Thank you Hashim!! I will send anyone I know in the market for a new vehicle straight to you and Toyota of Portland!!!

I was almost decided to try a different make than Toyota and overall skeptical of going to dealerships because of past experiences where I spent hours negotiating and closing.
Alayna did the magic, got us an offer that we could not turn down (over the phone), she went above and beyond driving the car to our house. We signed the papers at our place! This is a first class experience and a story I've been telling people at work on Customer Orientation. It is indeed an ultra positive experience that I'll be keeping with me and sharing for long.

Dealership assured me they would beat other offers I had received on my trade in and the price on a new Tacoma. The offered me 6k less on my trade in than other Toyota dealers, and the truck was priced 5k more than other dealers in the area. Make sure you shop around as this dealer will low ball you on your trade, and rip you off on the new vehicle price. A complete waste of time.

Second car from Toyota of Portland and loving it! Had a great experience, and got to go home in a new car! The salesman was friendly, low-key and not pushy at all which made all the difference in my buying experience. Pricing and options met my needs and now I understand why people want to drive an SUV-don t think I can ever go back to a car again. Yay for the RAV4!!! Cort B., who is, obviously, well versed in his role as a sales manager helped seal the deal for me by making the numbers I needed work, and he got me all of my desired options but one...can t have everything so grateful for what I do have. There were a few areas for improvement but they were related to the length of time waiting for a finance manager. Apparently there is a rotation that has to be followed. Which can be difficult when one is waiting and has a view of one of the finance guys hanging out in his office chatting away with his co-workers. Small detail but an area to work on. Again, salesman and sales manager made it a good experience and I m happy with my new vehicle!

Could getting a new car be any less painful, easier and downright awesome? I don't think so.
I stopped by not intending to get a new car that day at all, just do a little research. But, after spending some time with my sales guy Matthew Belden test driving and then working up what getting a new car would look like with he and his sales manager Leslie...well, they went BEYOND what I'd ever dreamed. And it wasn't hard sell, only once did I feel a little pressured (and it was justified because I was simply being stubborn), they just wrote up numbers and offered a car that I would have been stupid to turn down. They WORKED WITH ME, and from a good place of really wanting me to be happy and get what I honestly wanted (and very much in within what I wanted to spend).
A "good time" at a car dealership?...not quite, but as close as you could get. I was surprised.
I HIGHLY recommend going to Broadway Toyota and talking to Matthew. Nice guy, low pressure, honest and able to pull for a terrific deal.

The in person experience /was/ great. But their website and the online experience is totally frustrating. I've been trying for 20 minutes to get an oil change schedule. They keep deleting my information as I input it, it's unable to search up my information no matter how many times I reenter it. Their specials page is down. Just completely frustrated. If Oil changes wasn't a necessity and this wasn't the closest location I probably would stop going to this place. It's sad that customer service really goes down as soon as you try to use their website. Takes out the seamless ease and it's disappointing. When they did respond via email they just directed me to their service line instead of addressing the questions in my email response. I never received any answer back from Austin. Instead I m just left disatisfied and wondering if I should ever work with this dealership again.

Last week I was treated rudely by a young woman, in the service department, when I called to ask the cost of an estimate for an evaluation on my Camry, which I purchased there. The young woman did not identify herself nor ask what was wrong with my vehicle, she interupped me twice to tell me she could provide no assistance until I provided her my phone number. After asking to speak to a supervisor, being put on indefinite hold, I hung up frustrated & disappointed. I called Bradshaws on Fremont & Sandy, a very nice woman, named Debbie, greeted me, answered my questions & helped me schedule an appointment. I went there this past Friday & got all four of my issues addressed in about 2-3 hours at a very reasonable cost. Bottom line when you want great customer service you will need to go somewhere where where they employee a staff that is capable of answering a simple question and not speak to you in a condescending manner. You all may want to hire some people who understand Customer Service instead of rude robotic millennials who can do nothing but talk over you and ask scripted questions.
