I submitted some gear for a trade in. It was received on 1/31 per FedEx yet it's now 2/18 and it's still "waiting to be evaluated". I have called and emailed several times and always get the run around about how it'll "just be a few more days" or "I'll email the manager" yet I never get a reply or anything else from them other than the run around. I even told them just to send my stuff back but was told they can't until it's been evaluated. Horrible customer service. I'll NEVER do business with this outfit again.

Their pricing is always very good, shipping outstanding and on the one order we had an issue they immediately responded and corrected the problem. Their customer service is friendly, helpful and effective. B and H is one of the very best vendors we deal with.

You can test all cameras and lenses and just about everything in the store. If you have questions they have answers. Check out is fast and once you pay everything will be packed and ready to go. There is no trip to New York without stopping at BandH.

If they don't have it in camera, video, computer or monitor/TV it doesn't exist. Everything under the sun is in this store. Reasonable prices, as in Amazon is usually the same price. Although you will have New York sales tax. But if you want it now, they have it. They have a great website too. They are not open Friday nights and Saturdays.

It is quite amazing to see merchandize whizzing around overhead on metal conveyors to make their way to the checkout area after purchase. Overnight delivery is a joke. My camera arrived late and B&H shopping policy requires that I be home vs picking it up at FedEx. They wouldn t even call FedEx to change this and just quoted their policy. I am going to send this back to them and go to a store that can deliver on their commitments without quoting ridiculous policies!

They had a specific accessory I couldn t find after looking several other places in Manhattan. A friendly and knowledgeable fellow helped me ensure I was purchasing the right thing. I also got a kick out of their unique checkout system. The place is a spectacle. I d recommend going there to buy something even if you could find another store closer to you.

I just received a camera from this company and nowhere was I notified that it would not be an English language product. Everything, including the box, is in an Asian tongue and I have no idea what language this is. I spent hundreds of dollars and waited for this camera to arrive and it's not even able to be used. This is totally ridiculous and I've never been scammed like this before. I thought this was a reputable company, turns out maybe this is a valuable lesson to stick to Amazon or one of B&H's other competitors. I've ordered many items, from projector screens, to cameras, to audio sound equipment via their website over the years, because of their competitive prices. When visiting NYC I had go to the store! The store is large and has everything, from what I listed previously to about anything else you could want! I was actually surprised! The layout of the store was good and easy to navigate and employees very friendly and willing to help. This is truly a unique store! Wish there was one in my state!

I'd only order from here if you cannot find the same or better price elsewhere. I recently placed an order and it arrived missing the main device I'd purchased. I was not notified about the item not being shipped and the packing slip included had it listed as well. The second item was literally a stand for the main unit I ordered so it's useless without the device. I also placed the order just before an extended holiday causing their office to close for almost two weeks to assure it would ship beforehand as I needed the item asap.
So the office is closed for another week and a half and I cannot contact them to get info on why the device was not shipped. This is terrible customer service as I should've either received an email to let me know if the item was on backorder or was being shipped separately. I was also frustrated to find they do not allow residents of Florida to purchase their protection plan anymore though I had in the past. Last time I order anything from here unless I have no other option!

I have never been to the main store in NYC but the online division especially the customer service is the best i have ever come across...Ever!! They are efficient and they go the extra mile to make sure that you know that you matter unlike other retailers. I applaud companies like this because it does not get any better than B&H! The prices are Great. The Online layout is east to navigate and is perfect and the customer service..... Is just unreal. Harry, Sandra, Nathan are all great and answer every question and are all well mannered. Thank You and I am glad i found out about this company. What was I thinking Wally World really or Worst Buy. I bought and paid for a used iMac from B&H, got an order confirmation, and even a shipping notice for the order, but they never sent it to me, and never notified me I wasn't going to have it. My money was refunded with no notice, and I had to contact them when I got home from a week's stay in the hospital, with work piled up, and discovered my machine wasn't there. When I tried contacting them, I spent over 4 hours on the phone with their support and sales, mostly on hold, getting bounced from department to department, with, in the end, their best "We're sorry" gesture being $85 off a new iMac that wouldn't ship for 2-4 weeks.

The display and partitioning of different equipment is attractive, and the over-your-head conveyor belts carrying delivery boxes give the feeling of industrial revolution. It felt like a busy beehive, too busy perhaps. I left without buying the camera, lenses and mic I was there to purchase.

Good prices, efficient service. But be careful, their return policy is pretty punitive. If they give you a discount on a large order, and should you need to return a couple of those items -- as I had to do recently, because they were too big for the space I had available -- they will deduct the discount they gave you on THE WHOLE ORDER before giving you a refund for those couple of parts. I objected, saying that since the discount had been given on the whole order I should only be charged for the part of the discount that applied to the few items I was returning, but they said this was their policy. I realize this is a little bit technical, and maybe a little bit obscure, but anyone who receives a discount on a large order from these guys should be careful not to return any of the items on the order, as they'll get hardly any of their money back. Caveat emptor.

Brilliant. If you don't know what this place is. Just go in, ask any of the amazing people who work there any question and learn as much your mind/heart desires. This is the type of place that all other stores should learn from. It is an experience not a store. Much respect to B&H.

B&H sold me a damaged subwoofer that I bought new ...

B&H sold me a damaged subwoofer that I bought new online, and after I contacted them about the damage, B&H didn't properly compensate for the damage done to the product. They offered a very low refund amount for the damage, and compared to how much this subwoofer costs, it was not a fair and proportionate refund amount. Now I have a damaged subwoofer for about the same price of a new one.

I definitely won't be doing business with B&H in the future because of this situation.

Got a great deal on an open-box smartwatch and could not be happier. The watch was shipped promptly, arrived safely, and was exactly as described. Best of all, I saved a lot of money! I will check B&H for all of my electronics purchases from now on.

Over the last 15 years I've spent an obscene amount of money on computer and photography equipment at B&H and never had a problem replacing faulty items. I recently purchased a $500 set of professional headphones. The faulty 1/4 inch adapter rendered them basically useless. I was told by B&H to contact the manufacturer because it was past the 30 day warranty by B&H. 30 days for B&H professional equipment warranty is unacceptable. In the past B&H would have been embarrassed for selling a very expensive set of inoperable headphones and to not fix the problem. I guess times have changed and Sweetwater, which offers a two year warranty on almost everything, will get my business from now on.

Placed an order on June 11th, item was not delivered on time, one item was incorrect, B&H wouldn't ship out the right item before they received the wrong item back, second attempt at getting me the right item failed as it was the wrong item again, customer service was supposed to work with the warehouse to see if they even have the right item, waited a week to hear if they had the right item with no response, now they're calling up the stores to see if they have the right item.

I have had to be emailing and calling them constantly and I feel like they're hoping I just get tired of the run around and give up. Nothing has been done to make this right. Should have bought from Amazon as I would have had the right item on June 13th.

If you are in New York and love cameras this place is a must see! Not only do they stock just about everything imaginable you can play with it too. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The way the operate the business is unique and after you visit you'll know why. Don't forget to hit Schnipper's after your visit (hand crafted chocolate milkshakes from heaven).

For a long time my girlfriend and i had been looking forward to coming to B&H. We had held off buying camera gear from other competitors in anticipation that at B&H we would buy everything we needed and trade in some old gear as they have such a huge range of products.

Generally the experience was OK, the staff upstairs in the photography department seemed helpful and informed, if a little unenthusiastic.

After a good hour in the store we decided we would not purchase anything that day as we had just arrived and would wait until the next day as to have a think about the products we had tested. However, we did decide to purchase a small USB SD card reader that we needed for importing to lightroom. The real issue was upon trying to purchase this downstairs. The cashier i got sent to by the name of 'BELLINDA', was extremely rude, demanding our telephone number, when trying to explain we do not own a US SIM due to the fact we are travelling, she just kept demanding 'cell, I need a number' and shoving pen and paper at us, and then demanding ID - when asking why she needed that information to purchase just an SD card reader she just shouted out 'Passport, Driving License, i need it' would of been happy to give the details but abit of customer service would of gone along way!! The last straw was when we were told we had been sent to the wrong cashier and had to go to the 'cash only', cashier, we decided to leave it and walked out of the store.

We found the whole experience rude and intrusive when all we wanted to do was purchase an $8 SD card reader, we will not be returning to purchase any of the items we tested including a (not cheap) Nikon D750 w/24-120mm and a couple of Zeiss Lenses for a Sony A7ii.

for 2019, no return policy for online vendor is not acceptable for little discount. I am used to buying online and never even thought of no return policy on desktop, not a laptop which has no return policy on few online vendor.

Friday closes at 2 pm, Saturday closed
