Good place to get your electronic needs the fix you crave. Though I strongly recommend you research and look at their supplies and items to make sure you are getting the most out of your spending. The staff are very helpful, though they are constantly swamped by many customers asking questions or helping said customers.

I put incorrect delivery address. I wanted to use Live Chat or Customer Service phone numbers but they were closed. So I tried Email support questioning my concern might be resolved or not. It was processed way faster than expected.

I just had the worst experience possible with B&H Photo. Unfortunately their customer service wasn't willing to try to help. Word of warning: To them, "More on the way" and "Arriving in 3-7 days" means the same as "Backordered" even though they have both terminology sets used differently throughout their site. I was then told by their customer service that the item was expected to ship out to me in a matter of days. It didn't! This has led to my inability to pick up needed hardware in a timely manner, as I missed an opportunity to buy at a competitor that actually had the items in stock. Now they have updated the item to list arrival dates more than 3 weeks out without any notification to me of the delay. Terrible customer service and probably borderline illegal bait and switch practices.
This is the greatest camera and electronics store that I have ever patronized. I always feel like a kid in a candy store when I enter this establishment. I want everything but can't have everything. I could just scream!
The store is very well laid out and there are plenty of store employees who can guide you in the right direction and answer any questions that you may have regarding products for which they are subject matter experts.
I'm usually interested in Canon camera equipment. Entering the camera section of the store is for me, an exhilarating experience. Every Canon camera and lens is on display on the wall behind the sales individual. You can see, handle, try and buy whatever happens to scratch whatever photo itch you may have.
If you buy something, they have a method whereby you pay for the item on the 1st floor and pickup your purchase as you leave the store. Super efficient!
At B&H, you can buy new or used camera equipment.
B&H will buy camera equipment from you, to add to their used equipment inventory. Can you get a better price by selling your equipment on Ebay? Probably. Can you do it more easily? Absolutely not! When you sell equipment to B&H you receive an immediate check or, if you will be shopping in the store after the sellback, you can opt for store credit.
If you buy in-store, you pay all NY taxes. If you live outside of NY, you can buy on-line and, at this point in time, your state tax is not applied to your order. How that is handled varies in each state so you need to check that out for your individual location.
B&H has very limited off-street parking available and street parking in their area is an adventure. Using the NYC mass transit system, to get to B&H, is recommended.
There isn't a company that I have dealt with that is better organized, better staffed or better equipped to handle whatever comes their way. Their customer service is beyond compare and they have a 30 day, money back guarantee. What more can you ask for?

Must visit for all tech nerds! First the size of the store. It's huuuge! Spacious two floors of technical bliss. Photography, A/V or consumer electronic they probably cary that exact piece of equipment you need. If they don't, they can order it or a member of their extremely knowledgeable (really extremely, they know their stuff) staff will recommend something that will work for you. Their payment system is weird at first, but when you get it, it's awesome. You order at one checkpoint, pay at another and pick up your stuff at third one. All accompanied with awesome ceiling rail like system of delivery to you. Yes, you read it good, there is a rail like system hanging from the ceiling. I said it's a nerd heaven.

9/30/2020 Updated to 3 Stars as I did receive my package on my own. I was delivered to The Walgreens near me but B&H could still not tell me where my package was or willing to call FedEx. 9/29/2020 Terrible customer service. My package was so badly handled and my delivery never showed up. No effort from Customer Service and spend too much time on chat to get this corrected. No one seems to want to take ownership. Too bad as I am a supporter of business diversification......I'm really trying not to give all my business to Amazon but this type of experience pushes me back to Amazon again! Order date was 9/24/2020 with a FedEx 2-day service.
If you want to lay hands on your future camera, you come in and play with it. Update: second time I come to get hands on with Canon 7Ti and it's not on display, while web site says it is on. But in any case you should be pretty much knowing what you come for - otherwise you are lost. Price-wise - it's the same price as everywhere else - and considering NY tax 8.725% it's not cheap.

I went there to price the Motorola Moto Z2 phone. They don't carry it and the Moto Z the is $449. I was disappointed because the Moto Z2 at Amazon for less.

Greeted as I walked in, and was directed to the correct area of the store to purchase a ssd hard drive. Product in stock; salesperson answered my quick question. A pleasant cashier quickly processed my item. I paid, then I'm out the door. Total time: 5 minutes. Happy shopper.

they have great prices but not worth saving $50 unless you have months of time to wait. no communication with back order items at all unless you are constantly emailing them about. had one item on back order for 3 weeks so i inquired about it and was told it would ship the following week so on that week i asked again and then was told there was no date of delivery in sight. i bought about about 5 things totally just over $1000 and ended up asking for refunds on 4 on them.went to newegg and amazon and the all the items shipped that same week. again not worth saving $50 dollars unless you have months of time to wait.

Oh-em-gee! This place is like an amusement store for *all* things electronics, both consumer and professional. It's massive and has every product under the sun. The service was absolutely phenomenal, there's a lot of staff and they all are eager to assist and friendly. Also, very efficient- I ordered a camera battery from the camera section, then paid for it in checkout, and picked it up from the pickup station. All in maybe 5 min or less. Amazing store and experience!
Went to purchase a led tv and they matched the price of a competitor. B&H are awesome.
A few issues here:
1) This shop will sell you gray market items without declaring. If you don't know what gray market is, you might want to do a quick google search before you purchase from here.
2) I had an issue with the items that came along in a package. Apparently the items that had $0 associated, means that you are not eligible for warranty exchanges.

Ordered a GTX980Ti, got it, didn't work right. They ignored my RMA requests. Had to go to the manufacturer to get it exchanged. Manufacturer tells me the card is a 970 with a 980's cooler and stickers on it. Further evidence of the swap is the static bag the card came in was only taped shut, not factory heat sealed. Someone in their warehouse swapped out my card for one worth less than half its value. Trying to get the charge reversed but its a Tax Refund card so its nearly impossible. Have tried to bring this to light on their facebook page but they keep removing the post to hide their corrupt business.

Recieved defective products and defective replacements, BH refused to replace after the second bad product. Credit card info was compromised. Wrote a negative review on the website, it does not appear. All these positive reviews sound the same. They are likely created by a business that improves online reputation.
I ordered from B&H photo not too long ago. My order was shipped immediately, and received my item. I have to give these guys 5 stars. I did have to return the item, but it was a major defect with the manufacturer with a ongoing power issue, not b&h, and these guys handled my return with ease. Their customer service is superb! I definitely would order another camera again from them!
When I walked into this place with the intention to buy an expensive $4k camera, I really hated the service. I literally had to insist while speaking to the department manage to get me a knowledgable rep to answer question I had about a camera (specialized item). On the other hand, the rep was very ressourceful and helpful. He turned my rather negative experience around and I ended up spending the money to buy that expensive camera. Overall, I was satisfied with my shopping experience. It can be, at times, a confrontational experience to get what you want in there, but some of the staff in this establishment are genuinely passionate about their work and willing to help. It's a hit-or-miss who you get to assist you, which will shape your experience.
Disappointed. I've had problem after problem trying to get a very expensive order. After going around and around because of B&H shipping my item late, which caused impacted a paying job of mine, they offered to overnight another package and when it arrived it was a completely different item and nothing that I ordered. They're falling apart. I'd recommend to anyone to just save the hassle and go with Adorama.

Caveat emptor!!! Buyer beware!!! Purchased a $3,000 camera body. Was sent in a large box without padding. Camera was loose in box. Will never trust B&H with overnight orders again!!

I'm rather shocked at the rash of negative reviews recently but in reading them I can honestly say they are based more on emotion rather than a fact of business and how industry, as a whole, works. I am not the only one who will defend B&H as one of the leaders in the industry of camera and video equipment and they have yet to disappoint. They've earned enough brownie points with me that even if there was an issue it wouldn't wind up turning into a negative review here. Things happen. It is business. This company is a business and a fairly large one at that. Whatever happens, if it happens, will get sorted quickly and without issue.
Moreover, I've spoken to their customer service reps a few times. Once for a recommendation on a lens and the other two times for an RMA on two other lenses that just didn't quite fit the bill. NEVER had an issue and the refunds to my card were very prompt and always much faster than their return policy states. The unfortunate nature of buying anything online is that most often you haven't had an opportunity to handle the item prior to purchase. The benefit here is that they understand this and will work with you.
This company is very honorable in every category and actually strive to make you a satisfied customer. I'm leaving a glowing review because I firmly believe they deserve it and have more than earned it. Forget the negative reviews and understand business is business. If you want the best of what awesome customer service has to offer, give these guys a chance. And this comes from a guy who HATES shopping online!

I m a young Pro Video professional and the experts at B&H treated me like I didn t belong in that area of the shop. I was asking questions about equipment which I was wanting to buy and all I got were arrogant answers trying to make me go away. They quickly went to talk to the people behind me only to trying to move me on. I didn t end up buying anything because of this dreadful service.

Inventory in this store was top notch. I don't believe there's anything you couldn't find in the store. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and always available. The prices on new products were reasonable, and the store includes a used department that has even better deals. I will MOST CERTAINLY be shopping at this store again even though I don't live in New York.

A tech junkie's nirvana. It's an experience just walking around and seeing this will oiled machine in motion. The staff is generally knowledgeable and informative, especially those in the photography department, and it's extremely helpful that they have models of everything they sell out on the floor available for you to play with. An added bonus is that just in case you happen to have a change of heart a day or two after a purchase, it's nice to know that the return/exchange process is a breeze.

Someone somehow got my debit card and used it to buy a Go Pro camera from B&H. After three months of my bank investigating, they decided not to credit my account. So, I called B&H, hoping that I would hopefully not be out $300. I have no use for a Go Pro and selling it surely would not recoup my total loss. Anyway, they were very nice about it. I sent the camera back and they processed my return the same day and credited my account. I think that's awesome. If i lived in the NY area, I would definitely shop there.

I work for the NYC DOE as a computer tech, as a result I was able to order equipment from B&H. I always found their merchandise top notch.
B&H screwed up my order TWICE. I don't think they know anything about the products they sell. I ordered a Pelican ce3180 case for my iPad Mini 2. The first time it came BROKEN. I called for a replacement and they told me that they would have to charge me twice if I wanted a new one sent out before they got the old one back. What kind of customer service is that?! You send me a broken product and you're more worried about getting your $50 than my satisfaction as a customer? Then when the replacement came it was the wrong product. They sent me a variation (the ce3185 for the iPad Mini 3) that was made with weaker parts (plastic hinges instead of aluminium) and other features that generally make it a less desirable model. When I called them for the SECOND time, the guy on the phone told me that he has no idea what the ce3185 model is and that they don't carry that model (even though it says ce3185 in small print on the back of the box). When I asked if he could give me a percentage off to compensate me for my time and trouble he responded with a flat "no." Whatever... I'm returning my purchase for the LAST time, because I'll NEVER do business with B&H again.

The best test, is when things go wrong. I received a film scanner for Christmas, that my spouse actually ordered in late October. It had an alignment problem and needed to be returned. However, B&H's policy only allowed for that for items purchased after Nov. 1, since I didn't discover the problem until the end of December, when I had opened and installed it. B&H graciously waived the policy, and allowed a swap of the unit. They made the MRA process easy and free. I just got the replacement today, and powered it up and all works as advertised. It always tells you a lot about a firm when customer satisfaction takes precedence over rigid policy. Thank you!
I ordered a product from this company 2 weeks ago. They are just now beginning to ship it. There was no information showing it was out of stock on the site. When I emailed about this they said it did state that, even though it clearly did not and was looking for a product ASAP. They declined their responsibility for this and the timeliness issue. This is extremely irresponsible of a company... especially one that has "professional" in their headline.
