Applewood isn t cheap, they are quite expensive but you get what you pay for. They fixed my broken AC due to the capacitor going bad. Kyle cleaned my very old AC to where it kinda looks new again. He identified the problem with lightning speed. He explained what was needed and the cost. I cringed at the price, but I m glad I went ahead with the service.
Kyle was very personable, professional and genuinely cared about putting all his effort into top quality work. He was on time and a great house guest.
In conclusion I wasn t exactly thrilled about the price, but in the end it was worth the peace of mind. I will use applewood in the future, but I hope it s not too soon!

I had a great experience with Applewood Plumbing, Heating & Electric and have already recommended them to others! I contacted them via their website on a Sunday night about a whole house humidifier at 6:30pm and someone contacted me within minutes. That was two weeks ago, and today my humidifier was installed without a hitch. Andrew made the process easy, and was a pleasure to work with! I won't hesitate to contact them again in the future.
Upon a routine inspection, it was recommended I get a new heater installed since mine was on the verge of failing, 14 years old and the original to the property. He came out, and he said my furnace was working when he tried it, tested my sensor it was ok. Didn't try to upsell the call. Didn't charge at all. It worked for two weeks, he came back same day I called. Diagnosed the problem. Gave me the option of fixing it myself, but I hired him to do it. Overall, I felt he was more than fair, and I'd recommend him to anyone.

The Applewood folks were plenty friendly, but they wanted $380 to unclog my kitchen sink. It was a simple snake job. I still had to pay $29 for their trip out, but passed on the drain clear. Be sure to ask about prices before you book.

The company that installed my evaporative cooler doesn't service them any more, but Applewood has experts. They are also knowledgeable with boilers. These guys are awesome!

A short time later I received a call from Appleword telling me a technician was on his way. The situation was resolved beautifully. I was very pleased with the professionalism and the results. I have a membership with them and so glad I do. It was a quiet night thanks to Applewood.
My experience was fantastic. Michael was great to work with and figured out the issue almost immediately and also had a few suggestions for me for future care and feeding for the unit.
I just made a call to them to discuss having them come out and give an estimate on a home I am under contract for. I explained all of the issues that came up in inspection and asked how much it would cost to have someone come out to take a look and provide repair estimates. The phone rep told me that since I am not the homeowner they are unwilling to come out. Doesn't matter if we would obtain permission to be there and receive estimates. I understand them wanting to maximize their time and book the sale right away, but I was very clear that I would not be able to authorize at this time, but am looking for estimates and willing to pay for those peoples time. Very poor service and would have expected more from such a "reputable" company.

First, Applewood is taking precautions for Covid seriously and protecting their customers and staff is a top priority. As an at-risk person, I appreciated this greatly. My boiler quit right after the temps dropped precipitously and it was difficult to get an appointment, but Applewood was able to give me an appointment 24 hours sooner than another large plumber in the area. Meanwhile, I had to call Excel to ensure there was no gas leak and the awesome guy who came reset my boiler for me. I kept my appt with Applewood to re-check the boiler and ensure all is OK. Colton came and checked out the system and answered my endless questions about the possible causes of the boiler shutting down etc. I felt like I got a mini plumbing 101 lesson which was interesting and I sensed he enjoyed educating me--it was refreshing, especially given how much in demand these plumbers are as winter approaches. I highly recommend Colton and Applewood. As a final note...as I waited on the phone for someone to take my call, a recording came on to apologize for my wait and that it was too long and to tell the person who answered I was due a $20 credit for my service--a pleasant surprise! Colton took that $20 off my bill, no questions asked:)
We were extremely pleased working with Colton Wulf on a boiler project. While we were out of town, a radiator detached from the zone, flooding our home. Colton was quick to visit the home while we were away, diagnose the issue (which unfortunately was a fundamental problem with the boiler plumbing), explain everything that he discovered over the phone and then again in person, and discuss the trade-offs of various resolution approaches with us. After that, he not only completed the work efficiently (a multi-day job) but was thorough in educating us along the way. From a financial standpoint, he also helped us understand work that we could to prep for the job which ultimately saved us several thousand dollars.
I had my gas furnaces maintained with this company for a few years now and have always been very impressed with them. My service person is Preston and he always goes above and beyond the norm. He really impressed me with his knowledge and dedication to the customer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HIM!!!!
Technician was on time and took care to wear a face mask, shoe coverings and generally made sure to keep entry into the house trace free. He diagnosed a faulty valve, explained the problem, and even tried to use an extra valve from a line that had been blanked off during a renovation. He was very happy to answer questions and exceeded my expectations for ensuring I was informed and apprised of the background for the faulty valve and necessary repairs. Aside from scheduling issues stemming from high work load and the first snow of the season, the service itself was exemplary. Would highly recommend Applewood as my problem was fixed and I have piece of mind they did a good job and would back their work.

I called to get my furnace serviced because it was not working. I chose applewood because they could get a tech out the quickest. Tech came out diagnosed the problem and discovered that the part needed to ordered. Fine. He said he d call back within two days to reschedule. Two days come and go and no call back. I finally call to see what s going on and was told the tech would call back within 24hrs. 24hrs go by and nothing.... I finally call and see what s going on and they say the tech didn t call because he doesn t work on the weekend and that the needed part might or not be in by tomorrow.... Really? A little bit of communication goes a long way. NO COMMUNICATION is a show stopper. Will NEVER call this company again. Even if they hade a good reputation.
Anthony was a pleasure to deal with! He was prompt, professional, and got the job done exceedingly well. We are so thrilled with how our light fixture turned out. Billy came to my house to help with a sewer line leak I had in the basement. This was a rather urgent matter, as my house is on the market and I did not want those in showings to see this. Applewood sent Stephen Richardson to our home to do some work on our furnace. He ended up replacing a couple parts. Stephen came out on two days to get this done as the first day was right at the end of day. He was very personable and pleasant. I needed a number of electrical issues attended to. Jon was incredibly helpful: he was clearly knowledgeable and thorough. He explained everything to me. Did what needed doing and then went beyond to make sure new fittings were secure, advised me on how to deal with issues beyond his purview (eg.security and solar panelling systems). He was extremely professional, friendly and helpful. Applewood called immediately prior to his arriving here, and then again right after he left to make sure I was happy with the service. I absolutely am! Assuming their staff are all as awesome as Jon, I will be using them exclusively here on out for future plumbing, heating, A/C and electrical work. Highly recommend!
Shane was great! He was here even before the scheduled window and went right to work. He quickly diagnosed the issues and brought an estimate to me. I gave him the go ahead and he went straight to work. He spent ALL DAY with us in the scorching eat to make sure things were running properly. He kept me updated and was very professional. He made sure to give me his card in case we still had any issues and made it a point to make sure we know that if our AC was still not working they would come back out to make sure it gets fixed. Tuvia did an exceptional job replacing many canned lights in our kitchen. It was a tricky job because of the style of lighting we have, and it came out great! Cory showed up on time, with PPE and a head full of knowledge. We discussed options for connecting a Nest thermostat to both the furnace and the swamp cooler. Absolutely and amazing job! Our technician Kyle returned to our home to look at the previous work he did a year ago and was able to honor the warranty and make some minor adjustments. He has a wonderful personality and great people skills. Applewood responded in a timely matter setting up my appointment and following up after the service. I have been using this company for 13 years, they are very pricey, but their service is amazing and definitely worth the value! Always Satisfied Customer!
Our experience with Applewood was absolutely fantastic. We hired them to install a new garbage disposal, p-trap drain, and a new faucet in the kitchen sink. Our plumber, Scott, was extremely knowledgable, helpful, and friendly, and the office staff who coordinated the appointment were amazing as well. I highly recommend Applewood for any plumbing needs!
I have used Applewood in the past an they have always been courteous, honest, trustworthy and efficient. I scheduled to have my furnace to be serviced and they phoned to tell me that with the early snow, some people were without service and they asked if they could reschedule my service for a Saturday when I was home from work. I was upset at first because I really needed my furnace serviced but appreciated that their concern was with those without power first hand . They offered a credit for the inconvenience and schedule d my service to today. They always call ahead and give a window of time and are very prompt. Seth serviced my furnace and replaced the filter and was then able to also service my AC unit. I was very pleased with the services. It turns out my AC unit is 17 years old and needs new parts or to be replaced. Seth informed me about each option and left me an estimate for both options. I am pleased with his honesty and knowledge.
This company is terrible. I first scheduled their service on Wednesday and they cancelled it at last minute. Then I rescheduled Friday 2-4pm. They didn t show up then I called. I was told they would come at 6. Two hours later they called me said the service was canceled again. We technically wasted a whole day to wait them at home. No credibility company. I would give them negative star.
Applewood was amazing on a last minute call right before a trip I needed to take. Michael, the technician was wonderful. He knew we were in a little rush to the airport in which he was very accommodating and trustworthy. He was quick to diagnose the issue, we had our AC unit freeze the day before. The guy has over 50 years of experience and wonderful communication. A little pricey but the guarantee and warranty is nothing to be rivaled. Thank you for being so awesome and assisting us!!
This is for the busy, distracted and trusting. Also young or still kind. Recently I had an unfortunate pleasure of a learning experience in exactly how politely terrible people can be. Chris Kn, Michael and Dave were to install a ductless system for my partner and I. I missed (social distancing) the moment that dreadful estimate/invoice was given to my partner and he carelessly signed it. A mistake that cost us at least 4k. When I asked to look at that paper the next day it was just that, paper with the number to charge, product to be installed and 2 signatures. It was a large number, way more than we can afford right now and way more than it is looked up, and no explanation of what for. The electrician Michael also asked to see that paper before providing a second invoice for his labour, as I understand now to see exactly how much he can blow up the cost. Afterward, the manager Chris Kn exchanged some witty remarks outside my home, and was shushed by clearly more sensible electrician. Then said manager evaporated, I hardly got to talk to the guy, and I was in the house the entire time. One would think that being charged lots you can at least get what you want. Or at least where you want it. The model was not what we wanted and we were not offered anything else. The location of the indoor units was planned by us above the windows. But given Dave's back, Chris changed that as well. Though it might have been his front. I got to observe the indoor work and I must say that banging a mere 10lb box against the wall in all directions is still used as a mean of attaching objects to their well designed brackets even against their will. No studs are necessary, and a corner of one of the braces that was exposed overnight (banging the poor indoor unit the day before was unsuccessful) was missing screws. When I mentioned that I was promised they will be filled, though I doubt it happened since I didn't hear the drill (if he screwed the screws in drywall by hand, that isn't skilled labour, a 100lb me can do it, and I'm sure we know what that does to the wall). And all of these are among other things. Long story short, the brace on one unit is bent and it isn't flush against the wall. The units are working (though it hasn't been long, so who knows). I had but one human conversation where eye contact was present. (One could only hope they felt guilty). I confessed if I saw the invoice first, I would have stopped it all. It was robbery. For which I was told to think of it as charity, since they apparently donate. We have donated, do you want to?
This is the second time I've used Applewood and each time they have provided superior service. Today Michael was doing some tasks pertaining to the sale of our home--we needed the HVAC and AC checked, plus a dryer vent. Michael was thorough, professional, on time and did a great job. After he left, we thought we had an issue and he quickly returned and helped explain what the issue was (and it wasn't anything he did or didn't do). Very very pleased. Had Applewood Plumbing and Heating come and give us an estimate. The technician was great and knowledgeable. Their estimate was a little on the high side but I have no doubt they would do a more complete professional job. We just can t afford that much. If we could we would have hired them in a heartbeat.
I called Applewood for furnace repair when my furnace stopped working right before a snow storm came in. Although 2 other contractors tried to sell me a brand new furnace, my technician Lamar took the time to listen to me telling him all the details of the problem, then he 100% fixed the problems, got the furnace running again and my house toasty warm in less than 2 hours. Lamar s customer service and going the extra mile to do some detective work saved my furnace and avoided me wasting money on a whole new furnace. Applewood has integrity and they earned my trust, I will only use them in the future.

And with the hours that they're open you don't have to worry about emergency prices. We recommend Applewood to all of our friends and family.

Completed a water heater expansion tank replacement, replaced some horrible plumbing under my kitchen sink, and installed a water pressure regulator with skill. Couldn t be happier with Applewood. Called on a Sunday and they got somebody out here within a couple of hours. Sean was the electrician and was extremely helpful and fixed the problem quickly. There were no hidden fees and I would definitely recommend them.
We have had 2 visits. One for plumbing and one for AC. Concerning the plumbing we weee visited by Billy and Nathan. We had puddles of water in our basement and we needed to figure out what was causing it. Billy helped us determine that it was not plumbing related but water seeping up from the ground. He was patient and answered all of my questions and helped me understand my next steps to handle the water in our basement. So although we ended up not having a plumbing job, Billy and Nathan helped us by sharing their plumbing expertise and experience.
Concerning the AC, Shane visited us. He came in and explained the process then examined the situation. He was very informative and went above and beyond. He made sure we understood and we chose to have all of the items he suggested done to upkeep our AC unit. He did the job efficiently and quickly. Troubleshooted major problem with boiler (including water heating system within boiler). Arrived within agreed time. When problem was diagnosed a company truck arrived with the needed part (part needed was unusual, so understandable that the part was not on the repairman's truck). Repair was made efficiently; significant time was taken to be sure that the system was working. Work area was left clean. Time was taken by repairman (Mark) to discuss problem with me and what to do to prevent future problems. Very pleasant and courteous. Respectful of my property. Used all of the safety precautions related to COVID.

Our old water heater burst and was leaking all over the basement. Matt from Applewood was there quickly and helped cleanup, then gave us the options for a replacement. Very satisfied with the service technician (Kris) as well as the phone staff. The communication was great and and the technician was prompt and kept me informed from the day of evaluation until the water heater, piping, new garbage disposal was installed. Also, there was a faulty anode rod from the manufacturer for the water heater and Kris was very responsive and fixed the problem immediately. I highly recommend Applewood, especially because of their integrity, honesty, and communication.

Thought I had a leak, but I did not have the valve closed correctly. However, if I should need to have the valve replaced a quote was provided for both the inside valve and the outside pressure relieve value. This is a display of integrity and I appreciate honesty. I also bought our furnace and air conditioner from Applewood. I trust them and would use them for any repair. They stand behind their work.
My motor went out on one of my furnaces. Luke immediately identified the problem. He ordered a new motor and piping that needed to be replaced as it had split. He also services my secondary heater and installed a drip valve to turn off the heating and air condition system in the event of a leak to ensure it did not flood my attic.I was very pleased with his professionalism and expertise.

I wish I could leave zero stars for their work because it took them a day and a half to show up and the plumber did no work. I called for non-emergency service on a Thursday morning and was happy to get scheduled for later that day at 4:00 PM. They stayed in touch(thank you) as they kept pushing my time back, and by 8:30 PM I told them to reschedule me. I was scheduled for 2:00PM the next day and finally at 7:00 PM a plumber arrived. I had a decent idea of what was wrong, explained the symptoms, and it was confirmed I needed a new pressure regulator valve. I had checked the price; $59.99 at The Big Tool Box, not bad. The plumber opened his thick book of various services and prices and gave me a price over $1,200.00!!! I asked him to leave. I can close two water supply valves, unscrew two nuts, apply thread putty, and put in the new $60 part. I did that with trips to the store in under two hours. I would have been happy to have a professional do the work for a reasonable price, but Applewood Plumbing tried to rob my family.

It is very reassuring to find an HVAC company so dedicated to customer service. My furnace went out on the first major cold snap of the season on a weekend, and the company made every effort to make sure I was taken care of before the temperature dropped into the single digits. The technician finally arrived at about eight in the evening at the end of a very long day and replaced the thermostat which solved the problem. The dispatch personnel kept in touch with me throughout the day to keep me apprised as to how the schedule was progressing, and Seth the technician was a model of professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend Applewood, and they have become my service provider of choice.

Over $1000 for installation of two replacement standard toilets (Kohler) with no other plumbing issues. Tried to sell some expensive club membership for a discount, but still over over $800 for the install! Again over $1000 for installation of two toilets in a nice house with easy access, good copper plumbing, and no leaks or issues.
We had an electrical issue in our garage. It was a simple fix, but we could not find the problem ourselves. Anthony was very patient, very helpful, and didn't even charge us once we figured out the simple problem. I will happily use this company again. The company was always very helpful and responsive to my calls, as well as very friendly.
My faith in Applewood Plumbing has been restored! Billy was more than accommodating. What we thought would be an easy fix, turned out to be more than expected. He went above and beyond. He was pleasant and very knowledgeable. If needed again I would definitely request his services. Upon leaving my home he noticed that my hose needed to be disconnected because of surprise snow storm and took care of it. What attention to detail!

Jeff was very professional and respectful which was a relief given the environment we re in. He went over the work and what was to be expected. He wore his mask, gloves, and booties the entire time in the home and finished well within the timeframe estimate given.
Michael and Dan were very nice. They arrived on time. However, before they did any examining of my faulty outlet, they were quick to explain that there was a $280 dollar "non-member" charge if I were to move forward with anything. It felt very "sales-y" and did not sit well with my experience. They then back peddled and said they would look at the outlet and write me a quote for everything. To replace my faulty outlet and replace our smoke detectors, the quote came out to over two thousand dollars! Outrageous. I really did appreciate the help and insight but over two grand you have got to be kidding me. Too much of a sales approach and even with their 'membership' of 160 dollars it would have saved us 50 bucks. How does that work, exactly? Would not recommend unless you want to spend top dollar.

Since it was just a reset problem, he didn t even apply a trip charge, which I was prepared to pay. I asked him about the cost of replacing all of my smoke detectors and he gave me a reasonable estimate. He was helpful, professional and not pushy! I will definitely use this company again!

I had a few minor jobs I needed completed like changing a toilet, fixing dryer vent, sink stopper, mounting a dishwasher. They said only thing they can help me with is putting a new toilet in for 1400. I did it on my own for 325 with a higher quality toilet. Best part about them is making me call them to get a $70 fee they charged back. I understand they re a business but I ll let you be the judge on what s reasonable? Was trying to free up some time to work on other things, but turned out to only waste my time.
William was informative and professional. I liked how they had a mat out front and used shoe covers. Little things are important. Great attitude and was great at answering my questions. I will call them first again!

Our serviceman, Alex Smith, was extremely articulate in describing how the new humidifier and UV filter he installed work. He was on time, friendly to work with, and answered many questions we had about our new system and how to look for a generator in case of power outages. One of the best craftsman we have had.
These folks rescheduled and cancelled 3 times in 2 days so I would not depend on them if you have a water leak that really needs a reliable plumber for timely repair. They seem more concerned about keeping their trucks busy then worrying about the customer needs. I asked for a manager to call me back but didn't hear a word so found a more reliable plumber.
