I am new to Anaheim and had no idea they had their own utility company so as procrastinating as I am, I called one day before my move date, Gabriel was amazingly helpful, caring, quick and easy to work with, he went above and beyond to help me and make sure I got my services on time. So, this was my first impression of Anaheim and of course of Anaheim Utilities and I gotta day I m very pleased. Thank you Gabriel for saving us money (our leasing office would have charged us a lot of money), time, and bad experience :) my mom Blanca and I appreciate you a lot.

If you have to deal this Anaheim Utilities because you move in to this City be aware utilities here are super expensive. During the Coronavirus Pandemic all the company sent letter and email they said don,t worry for late payments, or if you can't pay your bill we understand the difficult moments but Anaheim utilities never stop, I could pay $220 my total bill I Pay $150 and a few days later I receive I reminder to pay the Balance due on my account . I called the number on my utilities bill to see if there is any kind of help to pay my bill because work less hours, they never answer.

Family member on dialysis and they shut us off even when the bills been paid. They are the most expensive and worst power company I've ever dealt with. Rude customer service. Will not grant an extension even if your on life support. I'm moving back to an area covered by Edison who gives a 20 percent discount for medical baseline. Anaheim gives about 9 dollars a month for medical baseline with much higher monthly bills tons of taxes and fees on Bill. If planning a move to Anaheim think again. You do not want to deal with this Lousey company!!!!

Wow, the absolute worst, most disorganized public ...

Wow, the absolute worst, most disorganized public utility company EVER. I came home after a 12 hour day with 2 kids under 6 to no running water in the house. After finally discovering that the city had shut off our water, I called and spoke to the RUDEST "customer service" rep I have ever spoken to. Scott is a nightmare. I can't believe they've put him in charge of speaking to people. He kept telling me that we were "on the bad list," literally his words, and that they had shut off our water for non-payment. Meanwhile, I have proof that the payment was made 3 weeks ago. They didn't bother sending any type of warning of interruption of service. No phone call, e-mail, text, letter, nothing. So after he raised his voice to me and spoke over me at every turn my husband got on the phone and was somehow able to get a hold of a decent human being on the phone who sent someone out to turn the water back on within the hour. So yes, Scott, there WAS something you could do, you just chose to be an awful person instead. Someone please get Scott the proper training he needs to speak to people in a respectful manner. I tried calling today to complain about last night's disaster of an evening and see why no one bothered to contact us if they had had an issue with our payment, but mysteriously, the line keeps disconnecting after putting me on hold for several minutes each time. Just the WORST.

I got my light disconnected and I paid it right away now I can t even get an estimate of time when I m gonna get it back on!!! They only said that for sure by today but they punished you without service after how many hours? After 3 hours the tecnitions haven t be able to reconnect it? It seems pretty absurd.

These are the most inhuman folks I've ever met and I dealt with SC Edison! These guys make me wish for "the good ol' days!" It's the hottest day of the summer and my house has been off for six hours, for $100... We are an ALL electric property so no food, no cold water, and no A/C! These people are the reason access to power, water, food and shelter should be rights! Screw you Anaheim Public Utilities!

Anaheim Public Utilities in Anaheim has some of th...

Anaheim Public Utilities in Anaheim has some of the most corrupt individuals working for them that I have ever came across. In Particular, my case would be Jeremy M. Brown & Patricia Rojo. 3/30/16 My electricity was cut off w/o a disconnect notice. As soon as I got out of class I called them to see what happened. I got one of the worst Patricia Rojos who told me that there pc says that the disconnect notice went out so it has 2 be true and that the only logical conclusion would be an error on my prt. It's my fault yep. My mail was sent. I was like no. She ended up transferring me to her supervisor. I knew that when I called The Anaheim Utilities Electric Department In Anaheim That the way Customer Service Rep Patricia Rojos tone was I would not get help. Jeremy M Brown A Supervisor at Anaheim Utilities Electric Department also replied with stock answers that beat around the bush and said If I don't pay them 307.00 dollars I would have no electricity. He also said that something must be wrong with my mail because there pc says it was sent out.(Imagine an error) I told him I did not receive this and did not have the amount to turn it on. I bounced my acct & paid it right there. On 4/1/16 after paying the bill the wrath & Harassment of Anaheim Utilities Customer Service Rep Jeremy M Brown was paid forward to me. A Shutoff notice was sent for 739.00 saying that on 4/8/16 my account would be turned off. Again. What how. Upon calling on 4/5/16 I was talking to a rep who had to put me on hold. Guess who was in the backround Jeremy M. Brown was talking loudly to her. I asked who it was and she said her supervisor. Guess who it was. Well it turns out that was an incorrect amount that was sent to my house and placed on my door. Magically after talking to Jeremy M. Brown from Anaheim Public Utilities a skip trace was ran on my name which is not on the account. (account is in wifes maiden name. before we got married).... Hey Can you see what is going on yet. Because the rep couldnt put two and two together. It doesnt take a genuis but it seems like harassment & punishment for getting under somebodies skin. Just the type of people we need working for the City right?? Anyways turns out I have an alleged bill from I don't know from when or where that was found out about on 4/1/16 by there amazing credit department. I asked Now how about that you skip traced a name that wasn't on an account and then attached it to my wifes account for a bill that has nothing to do with her. Starting to feel like someone got their feelings hurt and is taking it out on a Anaheim resident. Also they put a false delinquent amount on my door for public knowledge. So now my wife's privacy was violated by letting everyone in the world know by hanging a disconnect notice that she owes over $700 to the utility company and there going to shut off her electricity. (Which was incorrect) It is actually around 80.00 that was attached to her account from my alleged account that was magically found after talking to Jeremy M Brown. See any connections yet or are we still not getting it. Harassment, public shaming, violations & more. My suggestion to anyone having a problem with this company is to always get the name of the agent and supervisor. They say they give there name. You can then get detailed information about employees that are harassing you so you can file a grievance at transparent california. Anaheim Public Utilities Corruption Facebook has a link 2 transparent ca Here you will Find Any reps that work for Anaheim Public Utilities Electric Co. You probably have had similar issues with Jeremy M Brown or Patricia Rojos. Also you can clearly see that these individuals are making tons of $ on transparent california where you can see each and every city employee. The amount they make so they could never clearly relate to you with their overpriced salary. If u need help getting your story out please feel free to contact me at my Google+ also I have a facebook page anaheimutilitiescorrupt There only good review on G+ is from their own employee Melissa Seifen.

Does anyone know the two ladies that are in charge to "supervise" residential the Trash pick containers from Republic Services? Well These ladies whom team up one as an assistant (Joana) and the other one "the supervisor" Rebecca..who they are supposed to fix the issue when the trash pick up truck driver from Republic intentionally does not pick up the containers...it happened that I have been Missed very frequently for 15 years until I could not take it anymore and thes ladies (Joana and Rebecca) instead of listening to me (since I am the aggravated customer who pays part of their salaries from my never missed payments) turned against me! and instead of correcting the driver of Republic...they blamed me! can you imagine? and they sounded very threatening! I mean..Do we need "our service people" from the city to turn on us? if someone has had a similar experience...please send them letters or let's give them bad reviews!

Looking to moving back to Fullerton or even Buena Park because I cannot afford to keep paying this insane electricity bill. We are rarely at home and only use electricity during the night when we get home from work but still have to pay $125. And I don't like that they bill you every 2 months with only 2 week notice to pay the bill. I'm always going around my house turning off lights when nobody is using them.

You can t pay your bill over an automated phone system outside of businesses hours. Makes no sense. They need get up to speed for their customers.
They also send a letter out of you pay late reminding you that they are a non-profit and how much late payments affect that. Please. Just because they might be a registered nonprofit doesn t mean someone is making obscene amounts of money. The rates for electric in Anaheim are far higher than any other city I ve lived in. The letter seems like a crooked attempt to guilt people, if people are late- charge a late fee. Don t bother sending out some silly appeal to pitty letter. It s awkward.

I wanted to give a giant thank you to Mike Guadan!...

I wanted to give a giant thank you to Mike Guadan! I am new to utilizing Anaheim Public Utilities and had been having difficulty getting a resolution to a problem I was having with our bill. I have had multiple conversations with representatives and was finally heard, they sent out someone to check on our meters.
Mike communicated well with us giving us an estimate of time of arrival and called us when he was here because my fiance wanted to be there when our meter was being checked.
Mike explained in detail what he was checking and ultimately informed us our meter was working well. However, Mike went above and beyond and complied with his due diligence and more helping us find the problem.
He made us feel heard and was extremely helpful! Never would I have thought to have received such time, patience, and quality of service given the previous interactions I had had over the phone with Anaheim Public Utilities. He made all of our headaches go away.
Mike, thank you for your work and time! We are extremely grateful customers!

with only 12 cents per kwh base rate APU has the best rates! (check SCE starting rates) i also like that they now offer month to month billing since the every two month bill was a little harder to pay. they are always willing to give me more time on my bill if something comes up. and they are the friendliest staff. not to mention they have an actual office to walk into unlike SCE. i also benefit from their medical discount, but also read in the OC register they offer additional 10% off for seniors / veterans or long termed disabled so go ask!!!! ....also worth mentioning, the lady that helpe d me mentioned they havent had a rate increase since 2012 winning!!!!

I ve lived in this city my entire life and I love our city services! Today our power went out, the city sent someone out, their crew got here right away, was jackhammering up the street and restored our power before noon. I really appreciate the city utilities. When friends in surrounding cities are are dealing with wild fluctuations in rates, our prices are stable. When surrounding cities are dealing with rolling blackouts because other utilities have shirked their responsibilities in upgrading equipment, and started devastating fires all so their CEOs can earn a buck, we re dealing with none of that. Can t say enough great things about Anaheim.
