If there was an option for zero stars this place would get it! After 3 weeks in the hospital with sepsis my grandfather came to this facility for rehab, after just a few days there he left in worst condition then arriving. Come to find out his sepsis drain had fallen out and no one noticed! I won t even get started on the food and staff. If you want your loved one to be cared for I highly recommend going somewhere else.
My experience with Carrollton Manor was very unexpected. My grandmother needed to be admitted for short term and they denied her. When I called to get a reason, the woman in admissions rudely told me that they DID NOT have to give a reason for denying someone. I was shocked at the rudeness that she spoke to me with.
Beautiful country setting, and very kind and informative staff who gave us a tour. The residents look good and well cared for. The dinner meal looks great.
I had an interview this morning at 10:00am with Thomas. I arrived at the facility at 9:40am The receptionist Sherry had me to fill out an application in which I completed to it s entirety within 10 minutes. I proceeded to give the application back to the Sherry,she took the clip board and stated Someone will be with you shortly . 20 mins had past now it s 10:20am.As I m sitting patiently awaiting to be interviewed by Thomas. One of the resident approach me because she too noticed that I had been sitting patiently, and others had been acknowledged before me. She said to me that There s the lady who does the hiring! Whomever the (Caucasian lady) was had seen me sitting there and in fact had walked pass me on 3 occasions to assist 3 other young Caucasian women and never introduced or acknowledged that I was there! I proceeded to Sherry the receptionist and I told her that she can disregard my interview because I ve been sitting for 45min and no one never acknowledged me, with a nonchalant look on her face she shrugs her shoulders as if I never had a chance of being interviewed for the position. I gets into my car and called to speak with THOMAS and Sherry answered the phone and stated that Thomas is not in today and that she could put me through to his voicemail, (WOW)! I left a voice mail in regards to the lack of acknowledgement and professionalism that was displayed towards me because I am a woman of color.So, yeah I now know that the existence of RACISM is present and I ve never experienced it in my 40 years of living until now! CARROLLTON MANOR YOUR FACILITY OWNER WILL BE HEARING FROM MY LAWYERS ON the BASIS OF DISCRIMINATION.
Needs to improve procedures and communication
No bath in 5 days, not familiar with patients with significant respiratory issues.
The admissions personnel is rude and give you the run around!
Horrible neglect bordering on criminal behavior. No bath in 5 days. No breathing treatment in 5 days even though doctor ordered 4 per day! Someone at the facility (of course no one is taking responsibility) turned oxygen way above where it should have been and gave her CO2 poisoning, which landed her back in the hospital. The most incompetent, neglectful care. Go somewhere else.
