Greedy company!! Way overpriced!! Why should a very small two person home receive a monthly bill of 275 dollars? GREED!!!!

Also... VERY rude representatives! Try hiring people with Interpersonal Skills .... Politeness/Etiquette/Tact!! So disgraceful!

they wont even charge me the full deposit down they seek my soc. to pull my credit score. they dont care about my records of paying with other co. like aep elecetic.... not to mention your deposit is returned on a card, whys that so they get a kick back from the citi bank making money off my money crooks horrible, leave this area.

I moved into my own apartment in October and set up my bill to be auto pay. Well that never went through, so I ve been paying online manually for 5 months. I found out today that NONE of my payments have gone through, and I owe a min. Of $275 or my power is being disconnected. I was NEVER notified that my payments were going through and found out today that my account isn t eligible for online payments. Not sure why or how that makes sense.

Ohio Edison is a bunch of criminals, they have no respect for there customers and calls us liars, nice way to talk to your customers I wish there was another electric company I could use I hate Ohio Edison...you deserve a zero but that s not an option

Can t fix power outages need call in real service contractors

I used Ohio Edison when I stayed in Ashland Ohio. In my experience they are a very professional company with very fair prices. Every time I called their customer support, I was treated well and received good information. Would use them again if I have the choice.

I ve waited on hold twice. Once for 45 minutes and again for 52 minutes give or take both times just to be cut off and hung up on by some automated voice while waiting for a representative to change my service address. I don t even want to do all this again but sadly I have no choice. I ll deal with it all again tomorrow.

Been trying to get info why power is still out in mansfield ohio in different areas and no info at all for ohio edison or updates on status either like they said power has been out since 2 pm almost 5 hours ago it's now dark and colder 11/15/2020

If I could give a zero..i would. They were very expensive when we HAD them. Horrible customer service...incompetent employees. We moved..and by mistake my husband paid them..imstead of the a bill he was trying to pay. Our mistake. But when we tried to cancel the payment thru Ohio Edison..they said we had to cancel thru the bank. Ok..we did that. They held money for 2weeks..then sent a gift card for the amount...not check..not an electric fund...a gift card!

My bill was ridiculously high and I was moving from and upstairs apartment to a downstairs apartment took them 3 days to switch even though they were at my apartment complex the same day to cut off electric from the pervious tenant who was in the apartment I was moving too

The recorded voicemail I receive each month almost seems threatening to my dogs. Reword it to not say for the safety of your dogs keep them in all day until we show up. How about for the safety of your employees instead? My dogs have an invisible fence for their protection thank you very much

JUST moved here, switched the utilities into my name, received confirmation # and verification of new account. Work order was canceled for previous tenant shut off. All was good. Got home today with the power shut off. Customer service explained it was an error on their end. Hey no problem, mistakes happen, I understand. However......when I asked when to expect it back on, I was read the riot act about how technically they have 3 days to allow transfer of service between residents and that I m basically lucky to get it back on sometime today??? I M LUCKY??? Yea, real lucky, sometime today before midnight basically it ll be turned back on! No fault of mine at all!! They certainly had no problem rushing out here on a bad Work order to shut it off. But yea lucky me, I get to wait on it to get turned back on at their convenience. Great first impression Ohio Edison/First Energy

Called to set up new service and was then told to hold while they transferred me to "connections". I assumed this was to set up to have the electric "connected" right? No. What I got was an extremely high pressure salesman trying to automatically sign me up for cable and internet. When he wouldn't take no for an answer, I hung up and called Ohio Edison to complain. After 20 minutes of transferring and holding I was told that is an outside company and she doesn't know why they do that. Also couldn't tell me if I was signed up for anything or not. Guess I'll wait and see. Shame on you Ohio Edison! You're a public utility!

Last 4 months of actual reading were all below 1200 KWH the bill this month was an estimate at over 2020KWH and twice as much. I haven't been over 1500 since I've lived here. Was told that that is the bill for the month and it wasn't changing. This company is full of crooks.

My bill was over 300 in my small apartment I havent been home for over 6 weeks almost everything shut off at the breaker because I had a long haul and yet my bill was higher then ever! Called in and questioned it very politely but was called a liar that I have been home and then told if I dont like it switch company's then she laughed and hung up! They have a damn monopoly and RIP people off because they know we cant switch! I'm starting a petition in my town to switch to another company!

I would give this useless company a 0 if they allowed. They are absolutely worthless.

Just wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all the men and women that busted their hump to restore power after this recent storm. Yes we were out for 31 hours but we knew you guys were working hard to find the cause and fix it. You have my up most respect.

I called because of a street light that wasn't coming on properly, and they were out and had it fixed within hours! Thanks for the quick response!!

I have lived in my apartment for a couple months and I stay there maybe 2 weeks out of the whole month and my electric bill is closing in on 200? Absolutely not. you people WILL be hearing from me
