I’ve ordered several lunches for my daughter who is in TK. Sometimes she comes home with leftovers. Each time, I can’t help but notice how plain the lunch looks. Literally each meal can be made from home. And I’m pretty sure the pizza slices are bought from Little Caesar’s (looks and tastes exactly like it), mind you, it’s almost $7 for one slice! I only suggest ordering from them if you’re on a time crunch, but even then, I highly suggest taking 10 minutes out of your day and just make a lunch from home. These meals are bland, random, and most of all — OVERPRICED!

horrible do not use i hate it and all of my siblings hate it as well and all of my classmates hate it!

do not trust choicelunch! Our school serves it, and I basically die internally every lunch. The cheese pizza is dry, hard, and has barely any sauce! the pictures makes the food look amazing but it is actually horrible. the chicken nuggets are soggy and have a weird texture. the mac and cheese is sometimes soggy and sometimes too liquidy. it is also overpriced, like ONE STRING CHEESE IS A WHOLE DOLLAR?!! I CAN BUY STRING CHEESE FOR 22 CENTS! i hate choicelunch with all my heart

A ClownishOyster Review

This review is sincere from the heart of a ClownishOyster friend. Words from tortured friend - "i was eatin my chicken and then i saw the hair on it so i had to turn the chicken inside out but even then it was wet. after this i ate me rice but it was coocked in sewer water. i then gave my apple to my bestfriend and idol....she is my savior." As you can see the sheer torture of choicelunch in this quote i request that the rice be cooked in tap water, not sewer water. i also request that the chicken be cooked with love and clean oil.

- With Love and respect,

does not have option for highschool students :/. Leaves students hungry for the rest of the day. Would prefer portions of twice the 6grade+ large has to offer, even if it meant paying more. Will move up a star if this is changed.

Choice lunch quality is horrible. The meal is to expensive and too little. They just want money. The cookies are getting smaller and smaller. I once drank the milk, and I will probably never drink anything from choicelunch again.

I had once experienced choicelunch, but now I am in my new school, they use a new lunch provider, which I will not name. The food is very great, I get to see what I get to eat ahead of time, the great service was consistent, and I never had to complain about it. I am trying to convince my school to use choicelunch, but in the meantime, I'll just say ChoiceLunch is great.

Most of the food was quite bad. The mac n' cheese was bitter and all stuck together, the pizza cheese was basically dry, and the food was legitimately NOTHING like the website. However, there are some hidden gems in their menu like the spaghetti and chicken tenders. These are actually decent and not communist rations. I'm hearing that Choicelunch improving, but since my kids died inside after they initially tried the food, I don't think they'll want to try it ever again. However, the ordering process is really easy, and it's not like kids need nutrition or anything.

The food is disgusting and very unappetizing. I once ordered chicken and it was covered in mold. It made me and my friends want to throw up in our mouths. You are risking the safety of the schools you are selling food to. You should stop or someone can get very sick by the outcome of eating your food.

It was horrible. What was it with the butter noodles? So, first up, it was not butter. It was vegetable oil instead. Also, the large size hamburger was two patties instead of one. Why would you do that??? The food looks awesome on your website, but when we really get our lunch, it's horribly unreal.

My family has been ordering Choicelunch for the past 7 years. I have 3 children with three different ideas about what tastes good and they all manage to find 1-2 "go to items" they can order most days of the week. The ordering process and payment process are a breeze! I am so thankful that our school uses Choicelunch and I can use it as a break for myself from the grind of making lunches.

We have been customers of choice lunch for years. My kids love the food they get for lunch. Their favorite is the Mac n cheese and the barbecue chicken. All the meals I have gotten for my kids have been high quality. The customer service is really top notch and we have all of our questions addressed quickly. One of my kids has severe allergies and we have always been able to find food that he can eat as well as enjoy. I highly recommended choice lunch.

They have high quality grocery items such as milk, eggs, fruits, meats that you can order for fast no contact pickup. They will place into your trunk. Great service. About 2 day wait time. Cost a little more, but worth it for safety.

The other reviews pretty much sum up how awful this is. I've seen YELLOW, wilted broccoli, expired milk, and moldy potstickers. The few people who gave it five stars didn't explain at all, only have posted one thing(the choice lunch 5 star) and are bots or people involved with Choice Lunch.

FIRST OF ALL: The 5 star reviews are VERY outdated. Choicelunch used to be good, now the quality keeps on decreasing.
Someone in my school got moldy sushi rolls.
TIPS WHEN GETTING CHOICELUNCH:
Only get it if you/ your parents really don't have time to prepare home lunch.
Always look carefully at the expiration dates, especially milk.
Unless you don't care, don't order anything wrapped in foil! It always ends up being stuck to the foil and you'll waste 5 minutes pulling off all parts with foil stuck to it.

Last year I used to order a lot of spaghetti since it was one of the better things there. This year I ordered it once, and the spaghetti was dry and uncooked and all the sauce stuck to the sides and bottom. Not to mention that they took out some other better choices from our menu this year as well. For example the normal lasagna. Now they only have pesto lasagna which doesn't even taste half as good, and the original lasagna wasn't the best either. Choicelunch quality is decreasing by the years! I remember in kindergarten my school used choicelunch and I liked it. If this was 6 years ago I would've given this review a 5 star. But of course, you're reading in 2017.

False advertising. The pizza they advertise looks delicious then they give us Papa Johns. They hide vegetables in the bagel dog dough(no wonder it is always greenish brown and soggy). They keep on making the food smaller and the buttered noodles are the exact opposite of "Healthy, Yummy, and Fresh"! The potstickers look perfectly brown on the picture yet they come black and burnt. Don't order from them. Even the Jamba Juice tastes fake.

Choice Lunch has been a wonderful addition to my kids' school lunch routine! We love the many options and opportunities to try new things. Each of my kids has several options that they love and ask to order regularly. I love that there are healthy choices and that ordering and delivery is a breeze!

We spent many years with ChoiceLunch lunches. I only wish they served them in High School! They're great, nutritious and there are enough choices that even the pickiest of eaters can find something when they need to!

We have been ordering ChoiceLunch 2-3 days per week for the last 4 years. My children enjoy the variety of meal choices. While they have their favorites, I love that I am able to get them to branch out and try new foods too. They have enjoyed everything that they have tried. The ordering process is simple and user friendly. We highly recommend ChoiceLunch!!

Excellent customer service, my son was ill for a week and missed school and Choice Lunch gave a discount for the meals he didn't eat. They send a reminder when I haven't order meals for the following week. Variety of quality food. Highly recommended.

I think this poem should sum it up:

I think this poem should sum it up:

Choicelunch is a little place,
which serves little "lunches".
It sometimes serves food on a plate,
Or serves some fruit in bunches.

Kids, they mostly eat this food,
And they regret they ate it.
The only comment I've construed,
Is that they say they hate it.

My friend Johnny ate this well,
But aft, he didn't smile.
I think he felt he was in hell,
His screams heard from a mile.

Terrible quality: stale sticky rice, brown avocados, expired ingredients. What used to be a great company went downhill and keeps on rolling down. Better pack your own lunch for your kids.

The food is revolting. I don't know why schools buy it. The cheeseburger and hamburgers literally have nothing on them. Its just a meat patty made from who know's what. The paper from the packaging gets stuck to the flat, plain burger. Paper does not taste good.

Our family has been ordering from Choicelunch for 5 years and overall it has been a great option for us. True, my kids don't necessarily like everything on the menu. But they also don't necessarily like everything I serve them at home or at some of our favorite restaurants! My kids are pretty picky and not big fans of sandwiches so I love the fact that I can add variety to their lunch diet with some hot items. I know some people complain about the snack choices and I'm working with my Kindergarten son to teach him to make good choices I see it as a good opportunity since in the real world he's going to have to make these choices. He LOVES the chocolate chip cookie so we're trying to teach him that its ok every now and then but maybe not every time. I love the fact that on a Friday when I realize that my weekend is crazy and I might not have time to hit the grocery store that I can hop on my phone and order lunch for the kids for Monday. And its a life saver if I go out of town, leaving the kids at home with relatives. As a parent I feel like they are working hard to serve my kids the best food they can, just like I do. And when my kids notice they don't have a lunch packed in the morning and ask "is it hot lunch today?" they actually cheer when I say "yes". And to top it off their CEO is super responsive if there's ever an issue.

My kids receive ChoiceLunch as a treat once per week during the school year. They look forward to choosing their item each week and it is a great and healthy alternative to bringing a homemade lunch to school. The ChoiceLunch website is very user friendly and they even send you emails if you have forgotten to order!

I am quite familiar with this company and its products. I have had the pleasure of tasting a few of their meals, and I wish my son's school had such an awesome program. In discussions with the company's leadership, it is obviously apparent that they pour their hearts into providing the very best product for the mimimum price that is possible without sacrificing quality. I have visited their kitchen and it is IMMACULATE! I have seen their staff and their process of deciding on new menu items, and there is no doubt that every calorie of every meal is considered. It is amazing to see the passion of their CEO, Justin. What amazes me is how much he and his team are held back by unnecessary regulatory burden. It would be amazing what they could produce if not held back by regulations that consider potatoes and corn as vegetables, but won't consider the various ingredients in their home-made sauce as such... I can't say enough about how good this company, and its leadership is. Please, PLEASE look into serving the Fairfield USD area!

ChoiceLunch has been the go to choice for my family for the past several years. My kids love it, and I e actually had the chance to taste the lunches on several occasions, and I wish they could serve lunch to my office!

I was so glad when my sons started attending a school that offered Choice Lunch. There are many daily options for them to choose from so my picky son can always find something he likes to eat, without having to have the exact same lunch every day. I appreciate their commitment to the environment as well, with compostable trays and cutlery. Now, if they'd just offer it at my workplace every day, I'd have it made.

We have two kids who have been eating lunches from Choicelunch for the last 3 years. Both my wife and I work, so having Choicelunch is not only a big convenience and time saver but a great way to provide a decent selection of fresh (hot) meal each day. Their choices have gotten better over the years and there are a couple times when my kids asked me to order something their friend had which I hadn't noticed. They are very prompt with responses whenever I had a question or concern. I also love that I can order a whole month or so ahead, this takes away the anxiety of trying to do week before, and they hide holidays for the school automatically. We are very grateful for having the service of Choicelunch for our kids as I am sure their palates are as well.

Misconception:

Misconception:
When they say "fresh", they really mean "fresh from the microwave".

I have been ordering Choice lunch for my daughter since she started Kindergarten. I love the selection Choice offers. They are also all about customer service when we as parents forget (last minute ordering) and when our little ones are unexpectedly sick (refunding back into your account). There prices are great. How could a parent not like Choice Lunch.

Your lunch choices have no vegan or vegetarian options which is really annoying. Plus, some of your vegetarian options are swarming in old, cheese, and other really unhealthy stuff.

Well I have stopped ordering mainly because if what I just said and the lunch made me ill sometimes too.

Our Daughter really enjoys specific meals. It is also good to see that Choice is always trying to improve - adding new choices and improving ingredients. I enjoy the software and the ability to do things on the fly and the easy unlimited program. Overall the program benefits for our busy Family; Ease of use, cost effective, good choices and quality ingredients. We had a small amount of issues in the beginning (this was new to our School last year). They recovered nicely and we have had a great run so far! I recommend.

My daughter has had Choicelunch lunches for about 5 years now, and we love them! Not just the food, but the company. I've contacted customer service a couple of times and always had a prompt, courteous response. My daughter's faves are the pizza, potstickers, and all of the pasta offerings. She used to love the chicken, but has now become a vegetarian. So glad there are numerous meatless options. I also love that I get a break a few times a week, and that there are emergency lunches in case mom thinks she ordered a lunch...but didn't. Keep up the excellent work, guys! Looking forward to another year!

Choice lunch is the worst school system lunch I have ever eaten. If I could, I would give it a -1 star. If I were to eat poison, I would eat choice lunch!!! Instead of having beautiful red tomato sauce, I received brown tomato sauce, which isn't normal. A girl at my school, also received moldy chicken!!!! Worst school lunch EVER!!!!!!
