Terrible! The water park was great for kids toddler - aged 6 (maybe that old).. Very dark and dreary.. staff looked bored.. The lazy river was filthy looking and kids were going wild pushing and shoving.. The hotel was even worse.. Will not ever waste my money again

Some parts on the water felt worm. Some did not. I expected the food court to be ran better. Our food was brunt. Kids enjoy an hr and wanted to go home. I called about the hot tub they said they had one and its working. No hot tub insight. Not in the water park at least. Wont go back. Not worth it. I recommend them returning the hot tubs for the adults.
Dangerous ghetto environment where kids are kicking, punching, hitting, and cursing while life guards watch and do nothing. Never should a child feel unsafe, and that is exactly what this poorly managed water park conquered by promoting shhh let s all get along mentality. Pay more, and go enjoy another park.
Yuck and yucky place. Over crowded to the point I was afraid for my Grandsons safety. He did end up falling on the slimy floor. We will not go back. Lifeguards are not even trying to keep kids from running. They should be trained by the life guards at Great Wolf!
CHEAP FOR A REASON!!Only rating this place a 1 because they won't allow a 0.....when we arrive and are waiting 20 min for an elevator once it comes rude MAN took the elevator...the hot tube had who knows what floating in it mold and jets were broken...the cops showed up at one point due to the 4th and 6th floor reaking of weed ...our actual room smelled of human fisis must I keep going this is the most ghetto place in all of kc BEWARE very dark and disgusting. There was another couple that was checking out at the same time do hazardous conditions causing there son to get sick. Please for the safety and well being of your children pay the extra $100 for great wolf lodge.
Good place for kids to attend. Disappointed that they took the jacuzzi out as I was anticipating that plus but I also understand why they removed it. Greatly enough the staff issued my husband and I a refund for the swim price so we drinked a few at the indoor water bar. Drinkz were good but customer service was bad considering we were the only patrons at the bar and at first order the employee kept conversing with another employee and we had to make our presence known for service. All in it is an okay place.
The WaterPark Was Dissappointing. The Water Was Cold!!!!!! Overall Making It Unpleasant For People Who Wanted To Enjoy A Nice Day Of Swimming! The Whole WaterPark Seemed Like It Was Blowing Cold Air! Kids Were Running Around Hugging Themselves To Keep Warm & Not To Mention Both Woman's & Mens Changing Rooms/Bathrooms Showers Water Was Running Ice Cold!!!!! Terrible! We Werent Able To Shower!!!!<br/> Last, The Restaurant. Staff Seemed Lazy Standing Around In The Back Of The Kitchen Not Wanting To Approach Peoples Orders At All!!! If I Had To Give It At Least 1 Star! The Only Reason I Would Give It Would Be Because Of The Bartender At The Bar. She Was Very Friendly! Courteous And Ready To Work! Thumbs Up To Her!! No Desire Was Left To Return!!!
Absolute WOST place ever! Do not waste your $$$. This place is so dirty, I had to clean feces off the toilet before my child could sit down. Both of my children ended up sick and there is MOLD EVERYWHERE!! Over priced, dirty, and couldn't even get a decent cup of coffee. Never going back!
Had a fun time celebrating our sons birthdays at CoCo Keys. Great party package and prices for their all day swim party! Including a pizza party and arcade room! Only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because I think they need to have at least one full swimming area. Aside from the lazy river, and water slides there isn't any actual swimming pools on site. And they took out the hot tub. Other than that it was a great trip for 10 kiddos and 4 adults! Highky reccomend for birthday parties!
Water park was great although they could invest in more tubes for the lazy River. The Adams Mark hotel however was not as up to standard. Would not stay there again.
The Chuck E. Cheese's of water parks. Spent 30 dollars ahead of time so we would have cards for the "arcade room". Literally 3/4s of the 15 or so games were not working. Two of the games that did work only took cash, so our cards were useless. The water park is completely underwhelming. Kids would have just as much fun at a city pool. Bathroom didn't even have soap. Pretty much out of everything at the concession stand. Total dumpster fire of a business
1. Immediately bought season pass tickets - $430 for whole family of 5. We've done this in the past - probably 7 years ago? Experience was great! Didn't know what we were in for, as lot has changed in 7 years..
2. Probably 95% of the tubes were barely inflated. 3. Life guards weren't very attentive - were letting young kids climb up the slides, big kids running into the small childrens pool knocking little kids over. 4. The playground has broken sprayers, water spouts, and all a broken turnstile the kids play with. 5. Front desk gave us a receipt and told us to hold onto it .. as the card machine was broken, and has been broken for over 2 months. Receipt paper fades.. and we just spent $430 .. if we lose this the record of our season passes are gone?! 6. The bottom of the small kids pool is.. slimey and brown in areas. Kind of gross.
We love the facilities, and we love the place.. its just unfortunate that if this receipt paper fades, we're screwed.. and we paid full price for a place filled with broken things.
I use to work here and the water haven't been changed in 2 years! The water park is nasty, with roaches! MANAGERS don't care about nobody especially MICHAEL LONZO, AND ERICA!
So crowded and many people don't watch their children well so the kids are bullying others. Lifeguards do nothing about it. Lifeguards are often dozing off or looking somewhere else. We will not go back.
If I could rate this a negative star, I would. This place was horrible. The life guards and parents didnt pay attention to the kids, and my 1 year old almodt got knocked off a slide because some bratty kid wasn't wanting to wait in line. And yet again the life guard didn't say nor do anything. It's very dangerous for kids younger than 4 I would say because your child will probably get hurt because if other parents and life guards not doing their job. Also, food was nasty and the place was dirty. Also the staff was very rude. I thought I was coming here to have a fun family day and it turned into a nightmare. My nephew got sucked under a tube in the lazy river by a bratty no good kid and nothing was said to the kid. I had to take it upon myself to tell the kid to back up because your so called "staff" didn't say anything. I will never return to this place. Coco keys, you need to get your act together for younger children's safety and teach your staff to do what life guards are meant to do. 4 kids went down one slide at one time. And nothing was said, they all collided at the bottom. I hope you fix your problems before someone geta seriously hurt. Like my 1 year old daughter almost did today. I want my money back.
Well im not one to complane however the list was way to long not to say anything, first on the bigger slides inside park my 4year old got shoved down the slide while the so called life guard stood 2 feet away NOT paying any attention. then the next time she went down a different slide another kid came down directly behind her and kicked her in the back of head! why are there not a life guard at bottom and top of slide to prevent these things from happening? in the Kiddie Pool area a little boy went down the small slide and landed face down in water having a hard time getting back to his feet and face out of water the life guard a few feet away did NOT notice it was the other parents in the pool that helped the boy! Their Stretch board on wall by pool with basket ball net is not up to par either, The handle is broke! the Arcade was disappointing as well, 4 games took the money off card but didnt let us play, when we addressed this they said it just does that not to go back to that machine!! However they did not have posted or post a out of order sign. as i said i dont normally complane or write reviews however this place was horrible and My family will not be going back! it is totally worth spending the little extra and going to Great Wolf Lodge!!
NEVER AGAIN!!!! I wanted to give this place a chance after reading so many reviews that went back and forth on good and bad. After seeing a few reviews I thought maybe they had made some improvements and gave it the benefit of the doubt. We had the stay and play package and we were hoping for a great weekend getaway for my son's birthday. We have stayed at the Coco Key Resort in Omaha which was amazing and figured this would be similar we were way WRONG! The staff was friendly and that's probably the only good thing I could say about this place! When we went up to our floor after checking in and the elevator smelled weird to me. Once we got to our floor (8th floor) it smelt horrible in the hallway it was like they had just fumigated for bugs or something it made me nauseous. In the room the beds were way to small my boyfriend is 6'2 and I'm 29 weeks pregnant we didn't fit in the bed comfortably way to small. The closet door handle fell right off after my 7 year old soon opened it to put his bag away. The vending machine on our floor said credit cards only and then had no credit card swipe thing the ice machine was leaking on to the floor and there was a hole in the floor for it to drain. The water park entrance smelled of rotten eggs or sewage it was definitely disturbing. The restaurant in the waterpark ran out of food so we couldn't really get anything for us to snack on. The arcade was very disappointing it was very small and half of the machines were out of order and they weren't marked wasted like 15 credits then decided to call it quits. For dinner the restaurant was getting renovated so it had a limited menu so we ordered out which the staff was very nice and helpful with at the front desk and the bartender at the restaurant was amazing as well. After dinner we decided to lay down and take a nap since the paper in our room said that the pool was open till 11pm we went down to the pool at 8:20pm to find out that they actually close at 9:00pm my boys were extremely disappointed. Another thing that happen was during my nap we got a call from someone who said they were having trouble with my card on file and couldn't process the charge from the bar and wanted me to give them my card info over the phone. I told the man I would run down to the front desk and they could swipe it again but the man insisted on me telling him over the phone since his shift was about to end. I was very tired and disoriented from being woken up from my nap (again I'm 29 weeks pregnant) so I gave him my card info and the next day I get an email of a charge to my card that I didn't make for $3760.95 to a Home Depot not sure if it is related to that call but I don't know where else my info could have gotten stolen so I had to cancel my card. Im sure I may have forgotten a few things but my stay here was beyond frustrating and disappointing.... next time I will take my boys to Great Wolf Lodge!!!!
As of now sucks. Should not b open to public not even animal should b condemned. My son ended up vomiting sore throat having respiratory issues rash along with at least twenty others having same issues. Believe it's a chemical issue and or mold. Lt to say the first two rooms were disgusting finally got a room that was semi cleaned. Strongly advise to stay as far away as possible. Health inspector will be notified along with better business bureau
My husband a I took our grandson here. He wanted to go to Oasis but it was hot outside and my husband can t be in the sun too long due to medication. So we hit up Coco Keys. I was just okay with the place, but the 7 year old grandson LOVED it. Six hours of nonstop fun. We figured since he came alone we wouldn t stay long( he didn t bring a friend) He didn t need a friend, he made friends the second he got there. And when one friend left he made another. The food was okay, but that s not their main attraction, the adult drinks were not good, but again that s not why you come here. It was really loud and humid. Thats the old lady in me talking, like I said 7 was in heaven
Thank God for the indoor water park! It was this place's only saving grace! The building was old and outdated on outside appearance. Inside wasn't a ton better. The worst was the rooms - in ours we had a toilet seat and lid that wasn't bolted down, a side table with legs so loose and wobbly the thing almost buckled onto my toddler son's legs when he sat a stuffed animal on it, and a cooling unit that, not only screeched a high pitch hum the entire time, but also was unable to be adjusted or turned off. It screeched and pumped icy cold air into the room every minute of our stay there. When we requested a different room from the front desk, they readily agreed and said someone woukd be right up with keys to a new room. TWO HOURS later we were still waiting. Our evening plans and dinner plans were shot. Six hours and many calls and in person visits with the front desk later, still no room change. I sit listening to that awful screech, freezing, writing this review and resigned to the fact that I'm in this room until morning. Save your money. Go somewhere else.
Do not stay in the hotel, the walls are paper thin. Do not waste your money on the Game room, the day we were there over 50% of the games were broken.
Plan on eating either in the water park area, or leave the facility. The hotel has 13 floors of rooms, yet the restaurant only seats around 40.
My two children ages 8 and 11 did not like the water park. It was way over crowded, and the lines were very long, not to mention the odd overpowering odor.
So the $171 hotel package, with additional $40 for arcade was worth about $30. My boys wanted to leave waterpark after an hour.
Friendly, helpful staff. A little outdated. Kids loved the water park, but, again could use a few updates. Arcade not great. Switched rooms bc first one was not great: next much better. Breakfast delicious but pricey.
The whole place sucked..the kids working at the water park were rude and unprofessional. I ordered food and waited with my kids while the workers ate and messed around. The water was freezing in the baby pool and our room smelled bad. There was hair in the tub and mY coffee pot was broke..never again..
Not a place to visit! The hotel was awful! Their staff except for 2 was the worst I'd ever dealt with. The lift to the indoor pool is out of order. I was told it has not worked in quite a while. Handicapped room, bathroom hasn't got a movable shower head and no mat or anti skip on the tub! Dangerous! I would never go back with family!
Not bad, not great. The staff was wonderful! Friendly, helpful and prompt to respond to any questions or problem. We had to request a new t.v because ours didn't work properly and they had to taken care of in no time. However, the water park is open to the public and was VERY crowded. I saw several pre teen children who were brought in by a parent, then left there, unattended, for the day. One of the elevators broke while we were there and they were fully booked resulting in waits in excess of 20 minutes for an elevator. We probably won't go back but the staff was exceptional and the bed was comfortable.
There was lots to do and my daughter really enjoyed it. The place was nice and clean, if a bit noisy. I really appreciated that they have a family restroom. This makes it so much easier to get ready as a family.
They don't have a place to charge your phone. They have a guard checking bags. Im not sure how I feel about the place. The life Guards have horrible attitudes. Why apply for a customer service position if you don't want to service the customer? The life guards where not in the water or looking for drowning Children. They where walking around being rude. I asked a question looking for my daughter because she ran off. I asked a life guard that was sitting talking with her friend and she had an entire attitude. I don't have an issue with a security guard but why must they go thru all of our belongings? It cost and arm and a leg to get into the place and then everyone has an attitude! NICE!
If I could do no stars I totally would. First off, the cashier knew the woman infront of us in line and only changed for one child and she had 3 of them with her, we were charged for two adults and two children. We got over it and resumed our day and then while we were swimming a woman came in and let her baby swim in a DIRTY DIAPER! GROSS! Hello?! Water born illnesses! Babies should be in SWIM DIAPERS! Not regualr diapers! Bigger kids were pushing my neice around so they would beat each other to the top of the slide, life guards did nothing. So after that happened we decided it would be best if we just left. My husband and I were there with our little baby and our neice, we used the FAMILY restroom to change and shower before leaving and a group of thug teenagers kicked in the door, they thought it was hilarious, mocked our family and took a video of it on their cell phones. We were outraged! Immediately went to a manager who said "Ok, there's nothing we can do". We will NEVER come back to this place again, EVER! Shame, shame, shame on this company for allowing such terrible behavior!
Went for the water resort. For the entry the park is worth it. A little small but what can you expect from an off season indoor resort. Upon our visit the bar was not open and they ran out of towels. Spoke with the manager Gina who was very nice and apologetic for the issues and offered us another set of passes for our family to try again. It has great potential and hopefully the next time we come it won't have as many issues.
The staff do not know the rules. For 2 days my son and I.... Again my son and I... We're going down watersides together. Multiple lifeguards seen us doing this, then all of a sudden I'm told he is too short to go down the waterslides. I understand if it's the rule, but then it should have been enforced the first time we went down, not after multiple times. The head life guard was extremely rude when I complained to him about this. And as I'm talking to him, another short kid went up the stairs. Again, not enforced. I was profiled for having fun with my son I guess.
Good package deals for other area attractions. Lobby is super busy.
Water park is small but fun. There are two large slides for big kids and several smaller slides for younger kids. Two splash pads and two pools. Floor is a little grimmy and gross. Lazy river and slides shut down when employees go on break.
They are serious about towels. They require check in and out.
Employees are nice enough.
Mattress is hard but room is okay. Minor wear and tear. The AC takes.a while to cool the room down. No bed bugs. HDMI port on TV does not work. No fridge or microwave in the room.
Breakfast is not included with your stay. Parking is a nightmare. No grills-bbq refers to lobby restaurant.
Definitely a blast! Especially with smaller kids. They rent (good quality) life-vests at no cost and the lifeguards are very well trained and attentive. My only dislike was that it was hard to get to 2 of the slides- you have to climb/walk over a rope type bridge and it's a physical feat. The slides were a blast in that total darkness! Pretty intense for a small water park. We will absolutely come back.
Wow...I was about to purchase a room for my family and I to check out this resort. Thankfully I read the reviews. The reviews show a trend of unclean and unsanitary living/visiting conditions. The hotel replies to the reviews are also not reassuring. The replies all say the same stuff, I will inform hotel management . I may be wrong, but the perception is that hotel management does not care too much. I will not be bringing my family here.
I read the other reviews and I was expecting a slum. In fact I had no desire to go but my son's boy scout pack had a meeting at CoCo Keys and it was cheap - $5 per person. With much trepidation I went with my two boys. I paid my fee with no desire to get wet, just to watch my boys. I regret not taking my swim trunks. While I am writing this review my boys are having a wonderful time. There are plenty of lifeguard and it seems like a very fun and safe place. I have no hesitation to come back. It looks like a wonderful and safe family adventure destination.
Upon arrival my email and my request was a room with two beds, when I got there it supposedly said one king, the front desk guy Solomon argued with me until I showed him my email, no apology for being so rude, I also witnessed him doing the exact same thing to an older couple a while later when I had to go back to the front desk the guy asked for an apology and never got one, he was very rude and terrible with people, next we go to our room and it was trashed! Beds were not made, trash was full, hair all over the bathroom, the AC barely worked (it was 98 degrees out that day), we needed another blanket so my daughter could sleep on the floor and they gave us TOWELS! I never write reviews but I felt this was needed, I will be moving on to corporate. On the plus side the water park was fun my kids did enjoy that although it was extremely hot in there and crowded. Again, water park was fun but I definitely wouldn t recommend staying there and won t be again.
The water park its self was fine. The bar however took 20 minutes to get service, and their aid station had no idea what they where doing or what supplies they had. I spit my heal open and it was bleed pretty heavy and they really did not have the proper training or knowledge of the supplies they had on hand. Being prior service I was trained to deal with incidents like this... however not having the proper supplies makes it a major inconvenience to try and handle this. My best advice if you get hurt.. is make sure you bring someone with some kind of general medical care.
Great affordable indoor fun for the whole family. This indoor water park is pretty safe, on duty lifeguard seem very alert. Fun for all ages. They have dressing rooms, lockers, food stand, resort shop, arcade and hotel rooms. You can book parties, and their service is great. My favorite the lazy river. The arcade not really worth it, most machines don't work and take your credits.
Horrible place!!!! Was literally only here for an hour and my phone and purse was stolen along with my sister's phone!!! And the managers did nothing about it!!!!! My house keys were inside my purse and they didn't seem to care that my 3 year old son had no place to sleep that night because I couldn't get into my house due to my purse being stolen. And the fact that there are NOT cameras inside the resort, yet they charge you $10 for a locker???? Ridiculous.
When entering the lobby the hotel looks very nice but, once you go up stairs the hotel really looks like a motel. The walls are not finished being painted. In both rooms there were stains on the carpet. To top it off I accidently left my purse in the lobby upon leaving and one of the staff members from the hotels front desk stole 100 dollars while retrieving information to identify me. There wasn't an incident report made, no manager on duty to assist and no one has reached out to me in regards to this matter, these people had no remorse. I do not recommend anyone staying at coco key.
I read all these terrible reviews so I didn't know what to expect! It was way better than I thought. Yes the rooms are dated and the air units are loud, but our rooms were clean. The lobby was beautiful. We had a view of both stadiums out our window. The arcade had signs up for renovation but we weren't actually interested in the arcade. Also we didnt know until we were leaving the hotel offers guest a separate hot tub and pool area which would have been a nice way to spend our Friday night but oh well. The water park was great! We took 4 of our kids (ages 7,10, 12 and 13) they all had a blast! The food was decent (typical water park food) and the bar was nice. Were the life guards overly friendly, NO and they shouldn't be laughing and giggling they are focused on spotting potential drowning victims and I was pleased with their job well done.
My daughter is out of school so we rented a Cabana for the day, we all woke up excited. We were met with young, incompetent staff and a major shortage of tubes. Want to get lazy in the lazy river? Nope, you'll have to walk or swim, sorry not enough tubes. Want to go down the water slide? You'll probably wait 20 minutes for someone to give up their tube... At lunch time my husband and I thought we would get a rum bucket that's advertised near our cabana, but apparently the bar is "closed" today. I asked for a manager, but was told the manager is gone so I spoke to a supervisor. She told me she didn't know why the bar was closed and she had "limited information". You're the only manager on duty and you don't know why the bar is closed? Shouldn't you put an apron on and get to work then? $200 today and I have not received any sort of "service". Some "resort" this is! What a joke!
If a clean lobby is all you care about, stay here. Dirty hallway- littered with trash, dirty underwear and linens and our room hadn't been vacumed. They transferred us to another room that was extreamely hot and the thermostat wasn't working (after reading reviews it seems we are not the first to experience these issues). They sent a technician that didn't communicate at all. The service regarding these issues was VERY POOR. Take ur family elsewhere.
It's a really nice place but the price isnt worth it to be honest the employee as in lifeguards get paid like 8.50 a hr that's wrong for all the money they make on all the ppl there
My friend slipped and fell. The med person there gave her one losey bandaid. The whole top of her foot was scraped. She ended up with an infection and foot therapy.
