Poor Management.. Understaffed.. Spring break and they have 1 person at the bar.. 2 people handling the food.. People waiting for a slice of pizza and hot dogs for over an hour.. Food sitting there for even longer

Actually zero start this place is a hot mess...To start I got here at 6:30 pm walked in to all complaints.... People walked in to dirty rooms. I arrived at 6:30 pm......room not ready and the check in time was 4:00 pm....pe peop were complaining about not having towels... Not having shower curtains and the list goes on...... This is the worst I have been to.... I originally planned to go to Branson but the resort was booked up so I decided to try this mess...... Please think twice before booking here..... please never especially around spring break.. Once again zero star..... you pay for what you get but this was not even worth the price......

It was great at first. Super chill and relaxing. Then all of a sudden no parents were to be found watching groups of kids 6+. On the site we are promised groups will have adult supervision. Not a single employee batted an eye watching 6 kids go back to back pushing and shoving down the slides one after the other. We had a 4 year old who couldn't even have fun anymore because of the lack of responsibility of the coco keys lifeguards/employees. One lifeguard continued to watch kids knocking people over left and right but never said anything besides be careful. For $20 a piece I feel like you would be better off with a kiddie pool in your backyard. This will definitely be my first and last time coming to this place. I highly wouldn't reccomend.

Will you guys start raising the temperature in the waterpark? We were so cold that we shivered the entire time. After so many complaints, why are you not addressing this? The person responding to these reviews should strip down and try and spend an hour in there. Also got grossed out on the lazy river when we saw about 25 band aids floating in the drain areas on the side. Another tip: requiring guests to wear appropriate attire would make those who are making this a mini vacation enjoy it more and not feel like any Joe Blow can just go in. My quote is..CoCo Keys..where Hanes is a swimsuit. lol I know you're not in the wealthiest part of town, but allowing kids to just wear underwear for a swimsuit is not acceptable.

Bedbugs bedbugs bedbugs bedbugs all 4 rooms we looked at! Management gave us free tickets for Coco keys water resort and said we could use them today! They lied and stated it you be open! Closed and they knew we were leaving today. Worst experience ever!

Very bad experience. I have been here before and went back after 5 years. The customer service was horrible and the guest that I talked to agreed. They over booked every room and we ended up having to call maintenance everyday of the stay and have room service come to give sheets. We had food in our bed from the previous stay and they didn't even change the sheets. We had to after being there for 9 hours. There was throw up in the hallway and sheets everywhere. They would do anything to make it right.

Not a lot for the money, really. Great for smaller children though. It's worth it if you want to take the kids for a fun day, but my party was all 16+, and for 120.00, there just wasn't enough bang for the buck!!!

My whole family went with us and we had rented 3 rooms. The staff was not very fast and it took forever to get checked in or get a response from guest services. There was no information in the rooms about The hotel at all. All three of our rooms were dirty and needed repairs. The water resort was overcrowded with day camp kids. The restaurants took 2 hours to serve us a simple breakfast. It was ok but probably will never go back again.

So here's the deal, I'm a lover of Disney World and Great Wolf Lodge. I am also a nurse. My standards are pretty high. I read a ton of reviews about Coco Key (waterpark only, didn't stay at the hotel) and was really skeptical but they had a Groupon and I felt like it was worth a try, we could always leave and go do something else if it sucked. It didn't though. Cons: smaller than Great Wolf Lodge, fewer attractions than GWL but not by much, their kid hot tub and adult only hot tubs were closed-they looked like they were going to resurface them when it gets warmer, it takes a while to get your food-like to be 20 min however the food is made to order and is freaking hot. Pros: great price, REALLY CLEAN-cleaner than the KC GWL, floors that don't make you slip and bust your butt, free small cubbies to use, medium sized lockers to rent, first aid station/room/life jacket checkout, neat looking cabanas, nice cafe-decent selection and good prices, GIANT bar with a lot of drink choices, several seating areas-not one giant area only, plenty of lifeguards-they are on it too, the layout is more efficient-the lazy river is like a moat around the jungle gym area so it's easier to see my kids w/o walking all over to try to find them, you don't have to stay at the hotel in order to use the waterpark-you can just purchase admission to the waterpark. Ultimately, I liked it better than Great Wolf Lodge. I would be more than happy to come back here. We didn't stay at the hotel because of the reviews but I would be willing to try the hotel next time we come. I read some reviews about the chlorine smell and water quality, in response to that: the water looks/smells/feels clean. The chlorine smell is a bit strong but not any different from any other indoor waterpark. It's actually less than my local rec center's chlorine smell. I saw staff checking water pH levels with their little kits. The filters/grates did have some stuff stuck in them but 99% were paper wristbands from here. The 1% was made up of hair ties and a few small pieces of plastic film like from the straw wrapper or something.

If you enjoy really loud water spraying you in the face nonstop from every direction, this is the place for you. We were not impressed with CoCo Key. First off, double check that they're open before you go, because they have really weird days that they're closed during the summer. Also, if you're sharing at the hotel you still have to pay separately for the water park, even though it's attached and listed as an amenity.
The parking is terrible. It's really hard to find the entrance because it's not by the parking lot and most of the gates to the parking lot were locked.
The lifeguards mostly had hateful attitudes and stood around taking to each other. No one was at the tops of the slides to tell the kids when to go. Kitty's were running over each other and landing on top of little kids at the bottom.
The lazy river was not lazy. It was packed with kids racing each other around and not in tubes.
The area with most of the slides had water spraying from every direction with no way to avoid it.
Lots of the areas were pretty rundown and the bathroom felt like a sauna.
You can't take in your own food or drink (and yes, there's a security guard checking every bag) and of course the food and drink for sale there was extremely overpriced.
Overall, it was probably the worst waterpark I've been to.

This place is pretty nice, I loved the water park area. The only reason, why I didn't give it 5 stars, is because of the staff. They messed around a lot. Otherwise, I recommend this place. The rooms are nice and tidy. Love it! Will be coming back in the future!!

This was going to be a big day out for my family. Turned out to be a waste of my money. My son looks young so they kept kicking him out of the hot tub. There is unfinished walls and broken lockers. The staff is rude. Food was not well prepared. No condiments for the hamburgers. When talked to management about my son being over the age of 18 they said they would leave him alone. 15 minutes later they kicked him out of hot tub again.

We have gone here a couple times and it's a lot of fun. My younger kids love it and ask to go back often. The bottom of the kiddie area has some sharp areas and my kids knees are a bit scratched up, but that's the only complaint I have.

First I'll start by saying that I was nervous about what my experience would be like there, it's the first time there and having read so many reviews I repeat I was worried, of course there will be bad and good reviews everywhere. My experience was not good, it was WONDERFUL, the place was clean and there were lifeguards everywhere and at all times, the water was quite warm, the food was delicious (pizza, fries, etc.) the restaurant staff were too friendly, I went to celebrate the 10th birthday of my daughter with her two sisters and 18 friends, if you are reading well 18 friends and two sisters so there were 20 girls in total, my only point against would be that the girl at the reception had had a better attitude, I mean she was not rude at any time, but she did not smile, she was as angry or maybe she had not had a good day but when you are dealing with children it is always good to have a smile for them but I repeat my experience was good and I would gladly return again very soon.

The water was clean. The employees were nice. Bar was perfect. I give it a 4star because they no longer have a hot tub and the food was lackijgm. Overpriced for frozen food and few choices.

I am very upset tried to set up vacation with my family here and they refuse to let a family of 6 stay in one room....5 can but not 6 I would have to pay for two rooms a night be separated from my sig. other! Then I asked if they would work out a deal if I had to get both rooms. They refused to help and I would just like to state if your reading this review and have a big family that for the price of two rooms here you can get a room that fits all at great wolf lodge for less! I explained this to them and said I would rather go there and they didn t care! I will gladly spend my money somewhere else!!!!! Dont waste your time here!

It was ok if you want to walk or ride a bus to the royals/chiefs games but other than that it was not that great once we checked in my grandparents room wasnt ready when we were supposed to check in the elevators wasnt working the beds were very uncomfortable when were going to the outdoor pool my cousin step on glass on the way there to the pool when my dad was sleeping on the floor because uncomfortable the beds were the mirror fell of from the wall and hit on his back

I thought I would offer my 2 cents worth. Coco Keys Kansas City was better for us then the reviews made us fear it would be. The water was nice, not bathtup warm, but more typical pool temperature that you get used to when in it for a little bit. There were many slides for our 3 boys aged 3-5. Our 3 old twins like the toddler area the best. Our 5 year old could go on the big slide as he was just tall enough. The lazy river wasnt open when we got there on Friday afternoon, only because most of the lifeguards we're still in school, but it did open 2 hours later. I thought that was no big deal, as there are other fun things to do in the waterpark.
Our room was a nice typical hotel room. Maintenance promptly fixed our broken toilet and was very pleasant about it. I thought the staff was very courteous and helpful. The elevators were quick as we were on the 9th floor. All in all, my family of 5 and my wife's sister's family of 5 had a great time and would go back.

The water park was much more than I expected! My daughter had a great time!! It was so much fun! Lots of cubbies and lockers to store your things while your busy. The lockers are good for storing your things all day for $8. The slides are very fun! Very clean place. Couldn't hurt to bump the heat up a tad,I got cold walking from one thing to another. They actually have a bar inside as well, didn't take advantage of it was busy chasing my kid around having fun. All n all total fun! The giant bucket was my favorite thing. Watching my daughter work on those lilly pads was pure joy. Great fun! I would love to go back again. :)

In person they are nice, but heaven forbid you need to call them for any reason. And the hotel staff that you do get a hold of are rude and incapable of actually helping you or even transferring you to the correct person. Don't waste your money.

The hotel is amazing. We were there on Sunday, so it was okay for the bar not to be open early. However Charles from sales came to the water park and open the bar for us. He worked non-stop until the water park was closed. Great hospitality. Also our party host Messiah was awesome. Whenever we needed something she was there to help. And my favorite of all was the front desk clerk for the water park. Diamond. She had everything ready and in order the whole time. There was no question she couldn't answer or a problem she couldn't solve. Great birthday overall and the kids loved it.

I bought a family annual pass, but were not able to redeem before the expiration date because we were out of the country for a few weeks and they are not open in the week days. I called the office a few times, but the manager never replied. We went to redeemed the Groupon three days after the expiration date after we come back in town. The manager said that we would have to pay the differences $316 - $219 (Groupon price) = $97 initially. While checking the Coco Key website, the annual pass is only $252. They also offer $49/person annual pass as gift. We never missed to redeem a Groupon before, so I saw the extend expiration date option in the app, which let us extend for 21 more days. While I clicked on it, it said it was not available at this time. This is because the staff already asked us for the voucher number and scanned in their system. The voucher was counted as redeemed. While finding info on the phone, we over heard the manager said: "That's ridiculous. It's only $33!" Well, if you run a business and ignore the customer and make them pay extra fee, you should be ashamed. You should not say this in front of your guests LOUD and make them feel horrible. We found the fine print from Groupon website stating the expiration extension rules. After negotiating for 30 minutes, the manager finally let us waive the extra fee. After we entered the facility, we found there was no hot tub anymore. That was the main reason we got the annual pass - to find a warm place for winter. The hot tub area was converted to a kids party area. It was such a disappointment. This would be our last time getting annual pass from there.

Kids had a blast @ the water park!! The lazy river, slides and basketball hoops were a big hit! Bathrooms inside the waterpark were filthy. My oldest and myself were disappointed as the website stated there was a hot tub, come to find out they removed it. The movie down stairs for the kids is a great idea and my boys enjoyed it but would have loved popcorn either supplied or available in a vending machine. The staff @ the hotel and in the waterpark are great and pay good attention to the kids! The hotel itself could use a lot of updates. Very basic rooms, wall paper peeling off walls, lots of stains, no microwave or fridges and very few amenities. No TV guides, hotel information, or local things to do or restaurants nearby located in the room. Hotel is non-smoking but the stench from cigarettes and marijuana was everywhere. Arcade, food and beverage were outrageous. Bring snacks and your own towels as they ran out of towels both days we stayed. Just not what we expected when checking into a "resort" but the kids had fun so yay!!

Horrible experience! A friend of mine took our kids for a day trip. You couldn t pay me to go back to this water park. Water park opens at 4, and the restaurant opens at 5. We spent almost 2 hours waiting for two bacon cheeseburgers, two regular cheeseburgers and a hot dog. Oh and let s not forget, half the menu is pizza but they were out of pizza crust . Roach infested as well! Saw them crawling on the floor and had one in one of the drinks. Lazy river closed down multiple times while we were there. Disgusting place with no management at all.

This was our second time staying here, the first time we had a wasps nest in our room. We had 2 rooms this time, one room flooded which obviously happened before because the room smelled like mildew. The rooms are extremely dusty, I'm not sure if they even have housekeeping, ooh not to mention we didn't have hot water for a couple of hours, I understand stuff needs to be worked on but a little notice would've been nice. On the other hand the water park is fantastic, the kids had a blast!

Terrible. All I can say is everything about my experience was awful and I should of left after check in but I was waiting for it to get better. I paid for a spring break package that included access to the arcade. Most machines were broken. The pools were extremely crowded and lifeguards, while there, were non-existent. Kids were running into eachother and parents had to step in and let kids know when to go down to slide, for example. I had to change rooms because I walked into a hole on the wall with duck tape and my phone did not work so I couldn't even call to complain. They were overbooked and everything was very run down. Disappointed to say the least.

Great fun for the family. Found a buy one get one coupon, brought 3 kids and they all had fun. The reviews about the place being dirty... I really didn't see it. Run down, or needing lots of repairs? Didn't see that either. Is it a brand new facility? No, but it seems pretty well kept up. The staff was friendly. Lots of Life guards, I thought the food was good for the price. Large pizza combo with 4 large drinks and a large order of fries was only$20. Food was good and seating area was nice. After spending the day here I'm totally in on spending the money for the annual pass, really had a great time. Don't let the complaining bad reviews fool you, I can't figure out what they are taking about.

We had fun but the facilities could use some deep cleaning and maintenance. There were lots of under inflated tubes, thick dust on support beams, chipped paint, rust, and trash in random places that had been there awhile. Better for younger kids. Our teens got bored fairly quick.

First off the water park is awesome, I can not wait to return. The water was great, the room was about 80 degrees and that feels amazing especially when its 29 degrees outside. The pool staff is so friendly and patient with the little ones. As far as my hotel stay I would not recommend it to my enemy. We arrived on Sunday evening and checked around 530pm. Upon entering our room the window was leaking, it was freezing and smelled of something foreign. I immediately returned to the lobby and asked for a different room but the only thing that they had was a king room and it would not hold my family. I asked for other accommodations and none were offered. Once I returned to my room, I looked in the bathroom and EEEK!!!!! My family ended up going to Wal-Mart and buying cleaning supplies.. The next morning we woke up to no heat and no hot water. Again stopping by the front desk, no help was provided so I requested the supervisor. Apparently the workers have no idea on how to handle customer relations. Later that morning I happened to run into the supervisor Elizabeth (AMAZING LADY) and she discounted my stay, offered free breakfast and was extremely polite. The trip did not necessarily get better but at least the next time that we visit we won't stay in the Adam's Mark Hotel. We ended up cutting our trip short due to the room conditions and heading home.

Just from reading these reviews and the "Owners" response I know that this not a place I will ever visit. Dear owner, try taking a Business Communication course because your snarky comments are very unprofessional, rude, not helpful in any way and not likely to get you any repeat customers!!!!

This place was Absolutely disgusting i will never be coming back here again. Dirty diapers in the pool area. front desk people are rude. the Indoor pool was full with kids and moms drinking, although it says If your under the influence of drugs or alcohol to be not be in the pool. the elevator took 20+ minutes to get on the floor you were staying in. very unsatisfied. when I walked into my room one of the beds wasn t even made, I complained and she brought me a comforter with a big red stain on it. How disgusting. I will be emailing the GM.

All I have to say is do not pay full price. It is not worth it. The rooms were just ok. Not happy with the amount of money that was paid for two rooms and water park. At what we paid we should have just went to great wolf lodge or a fancy hotel. Oh well lessons learned! Probably won't come again the chlorine was so strong I could barely breath and once it hit my eyes it was like oh wow this going to be a short day. Someone puked in the pool but that happens anywhere. Just felt like it really needs a good remodeling and better prices if they aren't fixing the place up. I feel like we should have spent max $200 for the rooms and passes for the quality.

Your establishment has gone down hill. I went there Thursday March 29th and had my eyes burning like nothing I ever felt before, Was up all night rinsing them out and in the morning the were swollen. I will never come there again. Everything looked dirty and workers look to young to be working there. I think you should shut down before you make more people sick! I only clicked the 1 star, but really I wish I could put negative stars!!!!

Don't waste your time. Had issues with the reservation that took 15 minutes to correct. No fridge in room. Ice machine broken. Can't hook up a game system to the tv. Maybe the water park is awesome, but everything before the park has been a hassle. And there's NO hot water in the shower.

If I could give no stars I would. I wish I read the reviews before. They are all true. Disgusting! Smells of roaches. Staff is the worst costumer service I've ever seen. The food was nasty. Fly's ever where with food(mostly fries) sitting out and then they give you what's been sitting there forever. I threw them away as soon as I got them. Only one family restroom that was being taken up by teenagers the whole time. I felt gross just being there. Save your money and health and do not go here. You couldn't pay me to go back.

I actually had fun, I went here in march 2015 and it was awesome. despite the bad reviews it was amazing, the arcade had a good selection, the hotel wallpaper didn't rip, the staff was nice, the outdoor hot tub was amazing, I moved away in june, but I might come back. thanks for making this fun.
