Normally it is a very fun and enjoyable place but things have changed there. I would say buy your passes online it is much cheaper. I paid $20 at the door for one kid to swim for a few hours. It's not worth $20 so I'd buy online. Then it cost $5 just for the parents to watch their kids swim which is ridiculous. It's not worth it for sure.
The last time we went the staff which are young we're all rude and unhelpful. The bathrooms were nasty with no soap and no paper towels to wash your hands with. The concession stand was out of a lot of things and this was 1 in the afternoon. It just wasn't a pleasant experience. I'm not sure we'll go back, it's just not worth it anymore.

Pretty much the same thing every one else is saying. NOT a clean experience. The water park side had the worst food court and it took forever to get food, and it was substitutes of what I ordered. The bathrooms were GROSS. The lite kids slide area was closed half the time we were there. The hotel side was even worse. Dust everywhere. Hadn't been vacuumed. No fridge. No fitted sheets. No cot available. White stains on bedskirt. We too.oit our own wet towels and trash. No cleaning was done between night 1 and 2. Outlets would not hold a cord. It was a night mare for the $$$. We were so disappointed we left early. When we checked out o was nice but complained. Was told "we have had these complaints before".

The whole family had fun and the little ones can enjoy a water park the size of them !!!!!

Lifeguards try very hard, but they seem short staffed. No adults watching the tops of the slides - lots of kids crashing into each other at the bottom. Salt deposits on the bottom of pool and brown stains on the mats near the lily pads.

First off, the life guards were WORTHLESS. They did nothing and some never even moved the whole time we were there. Second, some awful 'parents' let their rude uncouth children run amuck, bumping into and pushing other kids and even babies, knocking them down. So because these 'parents' let their trashy/rude/insubordinate kids do as they please, I had to yell at them myself.. So, if your a parent that doesn't want their menacing children to be yelled at (you know, doing YOUR job) by another parent (like me ) keep your rude-ass kids in check. OR SOMEONE ELSE WILL.

Overly packed with people. No way that's safe and definitely wasn't enjoyable because of it.

Worst online experience ever! Two phone calls and an hour later, I was able to book day passes. The website user experience is lost in about the year 2005 and there are so many barriers to purchase it makes me wonder at how many sales are lost due to consumers losing patience with the hoops they have to jump through to hand over their money. The problem with this is that it sets the stage with a consumer to expect a less than stellar experience once arriving at the facility, because if you can't get it right online, what are you getting wrong in person? I hope this isn't the case and, more importantly, I hope that the management of this entertainment venue sees this review and is motivated to fix this horrific user experience on the corporate website. In today's world, there's no excuse to not be serving up a spectacular online experience and make it easy and enjoyable for consumers to give you their business, and their money.

Had a great time! Hard working staff,food was amazing will be coming again.

The water was dirty and had a bad smell. The bathroom floor felt like slim. The entire park was a disappointed for the money. One star is generous

Good place for small family, my kids does have a great time here.

We went to the waterpark with our 3, 5 and 7 year olds. Everyone had a blast! The staff was polite. We went at 10am when they opened and left around 230pm. The morning was very light and the park didn't start filling up until around 2, but still no waiting. We brought a lunch and ate it outside. My only wish was that there was a picnic area to do this. We will be back!

The kids had a lot of fun but don't forget to take with you a towel because they have towel for the kids wipe themselves with. I was told that people who visit the water park come with their towels

Place was sooooo much fun and the cabana was well worth it on a Sunday everyone took turns taking naps!!

They are great and have great people that help you.

Very disappointed checked in was told they would bring a fridge waited til 1130 at night arcade games did not work took money off card and could not play games tv works when it wants to will not return the guy who brought fridge was not friendly told him thank you and he just walked out restaurant was not open and online states was

I had a yearly pass to Coco Key, went today and was informed that they got rid of the 'Palm Grotto' which was the adults-only hot tub / spa. He said they took it out to expand some water slides. Which is great for the kids but the only reason I went to Coco Key was to sit in the hot tub and drink margaritas. Very disappointed. Also they still have Palm Grotto listed on their website (under 'Activities and Slides') so just a heads up, it's gone. To me the water at the lazy river, water slides, etc is very cold. You will need to bring your own towels if you just have a day pass (not staying at the hotel). The place is noisy and usually packed with kids. If you take kids they will probably have a good time, most of the kids there are age 5-12. Older tweens/teenagers will probably be bored.

Its not like it used to be, they filled in the hot tub. The big dump bucket wasn't working. The pizza was good though. Staff was very friendly that I interacted with.

They took out the spa, the only good thing for adults, it's dirty, no one out cleaning up, lockers went out and had to wait over an hour for them to call someone out. Not worth the money. Will not be back.

CoCo Key has gone downhill significantly. The hot tub is gone, so there is no place for adults to relax. Service at the bar was good. Front desk and concessions, however, seem to have been trained on how to be as slow as possible. Nevermind that there is a line of customers out the door, half the staff just stand around. Oh and those lockers that cost $5 to rent? They should work a couple times. Then probably not.

Omg! Terrible.
1. The hotel sucked- looked like something from the shining.
2. They let waaaay to many people in for the area
3. The play zones are for little kids.
4. The smell - omg. Horrible - terrible bacteria breading smell.

I've read several of the past reviews. This was our first trip to this location. I observed cleanliness as a focus. We stayed until closing one night and the entire staff went into cleaning mode. But I'm also observant of the clientele. Just because you go out doesn't mean you should behave like a slob.

Our 11 & 8 y/o boys had a great time on the play structure, slides, lazy river. Arcade was "in upgrade mode" but we enjoyed some games using the $25 card we got with our package. We did have a snack in the Coco Keys snack shop which was convenient. Water park bar didn't appear to be open although we did run into the staff member who was the bartender on a Friday night...either way we were with our kids having family time so drinking wasn't a priority.

Hotel was adequate. Onsite hotel bar/restaurant/lounge was adequate. View from the 12th floor overlooking the stadiums was cool. Overall, a room night, two day water park passes, $25 arcade card all seemed like a reasonable value. Certainly helped that the Chiefs were on a bye week for lower prices and availability. I would go here again before I ponied up for Great Wolf...and I've been there too.

The lazy river was freezing!!!!! There was only one small pool area that was "warm."

It was by far the worst hotel experience that I have ever experienced. No fridge, no breakfast, no hot showers at all. Nothing for adults....Kids had fun.

Came for a birthday party. Staff was awesome and if you don't mind the chlorine, water park was well maintained and well staffed with lifeguards. We'll be going back again.

I don't even know where to start with this review of coco keys. My family of 4 visited their yesterday May 27th First of all we get their to change and the bathrooms are absolutly disgusting all the trashs where over flowing. Lockers would not accept our card ( which later led to our keys and wallet being stolen). Then in the little kiddy pool area bigger kids and climbing up the water slides going down the center part swimming right in front of where the slides end and kids come flying off pushing other kids out of their way and jumping in front kids trying to go down the slide. My 2 year old son was bit so hard it left a bruise on his arm Life gaurd was not even looking in the kid pool but was instead gassing around everywhere else. Next, in the wave pool my 8 year old was aproched by a man in his 40s asking him to go down the slide with him and go see his hotel room. 2 life gaurd right their flirting with each other neither one of them paying a lick of attention to the wave pool where their are tons of kids all over. We bought pizza it wasn't ever fully cooked. At this point we decided to leave. Apon leaving we realized we had been robbed while at the resort. None of the inside staff members where helpful or even nice. So leaving the re sort I slipped and fell at 7 months pregnant holding a toddler at a park of the outside that shouldn't have even been wet and deff had no wet floor warnings so now I'm have a bruised and swollen knee. Had to pay 200 dollars for a new key. 2 new IDs all new insurance cards plus the cash we lost all because you couldn't take our card at the lockers. And then to find out that theirs not a camera one in the entire park, so not only can we see who tried talking to our son to make a police report but we also could not see who got off with our belongings. The whole ordeal was traumatizing to say the least.

Went there for a family trip and purchased tickets from Groupon. I'm glad that I did because I would've been highly upset if I paid full price for this indoor pool. The kids enjoyed it but the adults noticed things that the children wouldn't notice. The ground felt slimey, so definitely bring swim shoes. There was trash on the ground inside the pool area as well as debri at the end of the slides. And the water was dirty! The adult pool was closed as well as one of the pool obstacle courses. It's definitely not worth paying full price.

ok so my dad taked me hear for my birthday every time. i like to play the water a lot its very fun. but after he take me to room and plays a special game. its called "hit michael with a belt" i dont like it as much. also i bring my pet turtle to waterslide. he stayed at the bottom of the pool very long i think he is sleeping? very fun time!

The water park was fun but our hotel room was less than clean. Water dripping down the wall for so long mold had grown near our window. Chunks of ceiling falling off. Just gross. Not planning on staying there again.

Worst waterpark ive ever been to only 3 slides for anybody over the age of ten don't go.

More for younger kids, my oldest got bored fast but thanks wifi for him.

The park was so crowded you could barely move. Not much to do there. Most adults sat around and drank over priced drinks while their children rampaged. Even the lazy river was crazy you couldn't relax for a second or you'd get run over by unattended children. The food was also expensive and handled by two people who left food under the heat lamps for who knows how long. When our order finally showed up (over an hour after we ordered!), half our order was wrong and not even hot. If you want to go to a fun place with the kids avoid this at all costs.

We had such an awesome time, it was our first visit and we will be back! The park was clean and very warm. My son lost his glasses and the supervisor made sure the staff found them quickly, they were awesome!.. my only complaint.. the food wasn't very good, we spent $34 on a hot dog, nachos, 2 burgers a funnel cake and drinks, the drinks were the only things tolerable, next time we will eat first! But we will be back!

going there was worst experience of my life, not professional at all. bathrooms are never clean, the lockers get stuck and eat my money. food service is terrible almost had to wait an hour for my food. looks like they don't clean the pools right. they have bugs and the lifeguards play and talk to each other instead of watching the kids. Im just so disappointed with my visit there.

Cloudy water and grainy substance on the floor of the pools.

me and my husband came all the from NC because my baby girl wanted experience coco keys resort well it was awful. poor service, they had bugs, the food and bar stand was taking forever to open. I seen lifeguards cursing at the kids, playing with other lifeguards across the park so unprofessional. it look like one the supervisors was high. At the window part they be loud cursing and cracking jokes. The food was not good and the womens bathroom smell. Will not be going back there. That department needs to be shut down.

It was freezing in there and hot tub was broken down. So dissapointed!

We had a great time at CoCo Key Resort today. It is in the Adam's Mark hotel (across from the Chiefs stadium). It was only open from 10-1... Check to see the times. Also, buy your tickets online ahead of time, as they can sell out.
The young (2-7) kids in our party loved the kiddie pool and its two slides.
The kids 7-14 loved the lazy river.
We are a yellow-bellied bunch, and no one braved the 3 (?) story slide that goes outside but plops you inside at the end.
It was freezing outside, and inside Coco Key, it must have been 80+ degrees. The water was a lil cold at first and then everyone got used to it.
They have lots of food at the snack bar. See my pics for the menu.
We will go back, especially on days we know it's not busy!

Adults want to hang in the hot tub while the kids play? Then go anywhere but here. This water resort doesn't have a working hot tub. Was so looking forward to that. Things do break, I understand, but gathering from the extremely faded tarpaulin covering the hot tub with fade marks matching the edges of the tub, it has been neglected a LOOONG time. Two of my daughter's independently commented on the trash laying about the water park and that "they don't keep it very clean, do they?"

We usually come to the park in the off season when a Groupon is available (or other discounted tickets). The park is a good value in my opinion, though this time some of the attractions were down (one of the 3 big slides was closed and the kiddie pool was closed by the KC health department). The only other drawback was that the showers smelled like sewage.

There was still enough for us to do and my kids had a good time. The staff was friendly and kept the lines for the slides moving.

Had my 11 years old girls birthday party. Very punctual. Helpful and professional

Do not waste your money on this place. Rundown and dirty. Water park is filthy and gross. Kiddie pool was closed by the health department, however, no mention of this on the website. Stayed on 2/18/17 and the main restaurant was only serving cold sandwiches, so we ordered something from the grill in the water park. They were out of fries and hot dogs. Waited for my food good for 20 minutes, and watched the guy that was the sane one handling money, handle my food with no gloves on. Arcade wasn't much better. Games were out of order and again, not clean. Room was small and dingy with water damage to the ceiling. No hair dryers or main fridge in the one we stayed in. Don't waste your money, go to great Wolf lodge. This place was filthy.

Worth a visit expecially in the winter. The staff are not happy people but you don't really need them.

It's a great small indoor Waterpark with lots of lifeguards watching out and the kids (9 & 11)had a great time! During the winter ventilation isn't great it is warm but the chlorine smell quite strong.

Held after grad party last night here. Staff very nice and manager on top of everything! Tubes inflated well and area clean. They continue to make improvements on park! Definately would recommend!

Room was dirty, beds were uncomfortable and squeaky, carpet was dirty, arcade was a joke and most of the games were shut down but they still sold cards and didn t care much because people kept buying them. They did refund us 3 out of the 5 $20 cards only after complaining about it and getting some attitude from the front desk lady. Water park was great for my 4 year old but next time I d still rather spend the money in a different Hotel and drive the extra miles to a newer updated Hotel. The larger water slides that adults could go on were shut down an hour before the water park closed at 9pm.

A lot of fun, but super loud as well. It was better earlier in the evening before it got really crowded after 7pm...

This place was really fun, the kids loved it! It was like great wolf's lodge but WAY cheaper, it didnt have all of the theatrics of the great wolf lodge but that isn't really that important to us anyhow. Everyone was very nice employees and guests included. They have a little arcade outside the pool too. It was a great place for our family and I would highly recommend it!

Stayed in room 618 and had a lot of fun in the water park. Highly recommend going here

This was a terrible experience, when we attended there was a manager and guard who got into it at the slides in front of the guest. The guard on the river was not really watching the water. Their restaurant they have cant get orders right. The hotel room was very dirty. We found water stains as well as dirty sheets. We were here a while back when there was a problem with the cops having to search for a gun that their supervisor brought in a guard told us. We though we'd try it again but it has not improved it is horrible. DON'T GO!!!!

The good, great water park for kids ,prices are great and the kids enjoyed it. Great bar for a quick drink while you wait on kids to have fun. The hotel is far from a resort, the rooms have no microwaves or fridges, they have 1 small microwave on the lobby floor foe all to use. I think they dis this so that most ppl would eat at their buffet. Hotel looks horrible from the outside , boarded up windows, matteress can be seen up against windows from the parking lot. We almost thought we would have to go somewhere else but the room was borderline decent. It was a 1 nighter, I would not stay more than 1 night and the jury is still out on bedbugs!! All and all, bring your kids to the water park, have a drink from the bar but stay somewhere else!!

It wasn't very clean, the kids part was m9nitered very good yet the outside part was not, too much chlorine in the water, felt like it was overpriced

A lot of the tubes were deflated and the water was really cold bit it was 10 degrees outside.

Kids thought is was fun! But its crazy crowded and to be honest i have no idea what the life guards do. They just walked back and forth and omg they don't like getting wet. The hotel stay was well not so good. First night there our refrigerator stopped working waited for another one and well that leaked every where. The air conditioning sucked big time and the bed also. Full size beds!!!! Yeah like sleeping on concrete floor! No free breakfast!! The room wasn't clean but the kids thought it was great so we tried to make the best of it. Yes the lobby is beautiful but look past that! The indoor hot tub was a dark brownish color and well there are rules posted but nobody goes by them and no life guard. Will we be coming back? NO WAY!!!!!!

Kids absolutely loved it! Adult's review: Not the worst option in winter when there are few other options but not worth it in the summer. In need of repair and a good cleaning. Need better first aid. At a minimum, waterproof bandages. It IS a water park!

Going downhill fast. Enjoy it while it lasts and dont get bedbugs.

The Adam Mark hotel ( coco key hotel)was very crappy. The toilet ran all night and the room we were in was very hot. So hot that the infant in our room couldn't sleep. When we asked for a fan they said they didn't have any yet the people across from us got one. The t.v was also not working correctly and they tried charging us 70 dollars for 4 people for an hour of swimming. The phone in our room didn't work. We met a guy who found animal feces in his room. And they moved him to a different room at 11pm which the t.v didn't work in there. Even thought the hotel room was very bad the swimming area was pretty cool

Pretty disappointed, it feels very old, and musty inside. Not much to do here unless you have young kids.

The water park is fun. But the hotel was not all that great.
