Highly recommend this great organization. Whether I speak to trainers, support staff or corporate, they are dedicated to getting me the help I need. The gyms are fully equipped with the best gear and kept in good order. (sometimes they need better dusting, but otherwise clean). The trainers have continuing education, relying on the latest certified research rather than chasing fads and spouting trendy nonsense. My personal trainer knew a lot more about health than I expected. By the end of my training, he knew more about me, and understood me better, than my primary care doctor.

This is a PSA more than a review: I went to this location on July 3rd, the eve of a holiday on a Sunday afternoon during a 3-day weekend when the only people who wanted to be there apparently were the people getting their cardio on.

First things first though: my wallet was stolen from a LOCKED locker in the women's dressing room (I rarely ever bring my wallet in and should have thought better of it, but it was a quiet day at the gym..), and mine wasn't the only locker busted into--
fyi, both lockers had locks on them.
Kicker is it was one of the first lockers you see when you walk into the dressing room--right there in the open.
So tell me how does this happen??
Okay, I know there were only a few women working out along with me that day and I could probably count the total number of females on two hands, but takes some balls OR someone who had a lookout to break into multiple lockers at the gym--the girl even stole my lock!! And locks take a little more time.
Needless to say, and back to the point, when I ran up to the front desk it seemed the staff was too busy chatting and getting ready for their shift change to really show much concern.
And why was the janitor lady following me around while I was calling my bank and credit card companies to cancel all my cards with her noisy portable vacuum??
Well, it's been a few days since the incident now. I left a message for the manager to contact me when they got in, but that never happened. I feel like they just don't care. The merchants (whom I contacted to get a description of the thief using my credit cards) all showed more concern and were genuinely sorry this happened to me. When a crime happens, faster action than this is required -- they have video cameras all over the place so I don't understand why their reaction time is so slowwwww.

Now, if the thief was an actual member of the club, this girl would have been caught like it was yesterday but I'm pretty certain the girl walked straight in and right by the desk because the front desk folks were too busy with each other to notice her pass by. Other locations (like the Highlands) this would never have happened because the girl--and her punk accomplices--would have HAD to have presented a fingerprint before getting past the front counter.

Despite the signs that say leaving articles in your car (or locker) is at your own risk and that 24HR isn't liable, I'm not sure that holds true if they are just going to let anyone walk in who may or may not be a member. And does this mean now that checking in is "optional"??

Just be careful when leaving your items in the locker rooms at THIS location as you need to put together a Crime Stoppers group just to have a good workout and not have to stress about your personal items. Safer to keep the important stuff in the trunk of your car.
Ah well, lesson learned.

No customer service whatsoever! Watch out for this company. Even after you cancel they keep charging your credit card! Again, no customer service to speak of. Gave them one star because otherwise I wouldn't be able to post.

They charged me for another person's membership fo...

They charged me for another person's membership for 2 years, until I caught it when looking at bank statements. They would not refund me the money, although I had been paying my own membership dues on top of that. RIDICULOUS!! I had to take them to small claims court, which has proven very, very difficult and time consuming. I'd give them ZERO stars but this won't let me post without at least one star.

Pathetic. The Larkspur Landing property bills itself as a Super Sport and charges more. It does not offer more, however. No towel service, dirty locker rooms, broken equipment--is this what they mean by extra amenities?

I would actually like to consider a class action l...

I would actually like to consider a class action lawsuit if anyone else is open to the possibility for the following reasons:

1. Failure to notify customers of re-opening facilities.

2. Charging multitudes of customers while facilities are closed, or opened despite travel times being excessive.

3. Continuing to charge clients who abdicated to renew contracts.

4. Pending audit of customer service calls, accountability of not only false statements, failure to comply with legal requests, failure to reimburse charges illegally charged to clients accounts.

These failures are purely my experience, and I am sure many others have the same or different experiences. Based on the numbers of people i've seen expressing similar issues, AND a lack of corporate response I believe that perhaps the above mentioned possibility may be the only solution. I would warmly welcome any solution to the above mentioned issues, however at this point I would need to insist firmly on emailed confirmation of resolution plans.

i had a surgery and thought this place would help me get back to were i need to be my surgery was on my spine so after signing up i think i used 2 time and found this would not work for me so i attempted to cancel at which time they said i could not because of the contract and i would have to pay a 250.00 fee now i told them i don't used and need to cancel due to my medical condition they did not care so my only option was to freeze the account and be charge 10 dollars a month so i did that for 2016 till present 2018 and decided to call after being charged a annual fee about 49 on top of the 10 dollars so when i explained to the person about the situation she said and promptly canceled due to the medical issues now why wasn't this done 2 years ago so now i am fighting to get my money returned as i am typing lets see what they say ????by the way have been on hold for about 35 minutes so now they have requesting proof on medical issues lol ok so update 10/23/18 after a letter from my doctor they refunded half the fees and i had to do follow up to have them give me the complete amount back but they did so i am happy but disappointed in a company that should have more respect and empathy for the public sometime its not about the money Mr. 24hour Fitness ......

Absolutely dissatisfied with this company. Above every customer service issue I have had with one location, i walk into the gym to find out that my membership has been terminated and nobody knows why. All payments are current.

The manager was somewhat rude until I had explain to him that as a manager he should not speak to a customer the way he did.

OVER 2 months to get my membership issued fixed. Over 8 hours on the phone 1 hour in the gym. Issue fixed and didn't let me know and now my account is past due. Try to setup an online account and it wont let me. They cant send me any documents for my membership in email and when I called a rep did not listen to the issue and told me three different things. Then when I asked to speak to a manager the rep hung up on me. I would like someone for Corporate Office to contact me. This was a small summary of issues I been having with 24 hr.

Tried calling to seek information that the location gym did not have and did not cover on their website. Was on hold for Member Services for 30 minutes, they hung up on me, called again, once again, hung up on me at the 30 min mark, called a THIRD TIME!!! SAME THING!!! It is quite clear why the board members sold this company to the Teachers Association Union of Canada, and it will continue to desolve, due to the companie's treatment of their Golden Goose

Worst customer service ever. I get charged for someone else. I got no notification, no email, or a phone call informing so. All I was told the transaction has been processed and we can t refund you the money. I have been going for 6 years and haven t had a problem. 24 needs to higher more competent people and learn what customer/guest services is. I will not set foot in another 24 hour fitness again. If you want your money stolen from you go ahead and go to 24 hour fitness. Worst part my customer service specialist, Allandra (i don t know if I spelled her name correctly), when asked so what s going to happen to the money I was charged am I out of luck and lost? Her response was yup . So much for quality guest service.

Is this company going out of business? Its lacking in so many areas.

*Equipment is not maintained: always broken, squeaking, missing pieces.

*Towel service has just been discontinued at all clubs.

*Daycare staff is always inconsistent: closures very frequently.

*Cleaning service didnt show up and there were no paper towels to wipe equipment.

This is just a few examples. I hope they can get it together or someone buys them out who can offer an enjoyable and stable workout experience.

There is essentially no customer service other than the gyms themselves. Even customer service, when you wait, can do about nothing but suggest to contact the manager, which most people usually do. So it's a waste. The Noe Valley FitLite gym has good people working for them, but they constantly are letting corporate know and nothing gets repaired or done there. It's there to rake in money with minimal output. If you know what you are doing and don't mind raggedy equipment, then the 24th street Noe Valley FitLite gym is for you.

this gym has been taking money out of my account and many others monthly with no anticipated reopening date. Numerous requests through the "recommended" membership page go unanswered or returned with a canned response and no one working at the corporate office. Poor business and fraudulent practices and you get a dysfunctional and failing business. I only wish I could give them a worse rating

PROBLEMS:

PROBLEMS:
1. No AC - regardless of daily complaints
2. Weights are NEVER racked!
3. Bed Bugs - which they don't tell members about
4. They care about NOTHING but sales, there is no customer service!!
5. "Remodel" after buying out Ballys, they did nothing more than paint and put up signs
6. 24 hr fitness IS NOT OPEN 24 HOURS!!!

24 hour fitness has been complete GARBAGE since 2010..STAY AWAY and go to cheaper and CLEANER Planet fitness, LA Fitness, California Family Fitness, University gyms, etc!! We were with 24 hour for 16 years and finally all 5 of my family cut it Nov. 30,2017 and haven't looked back and MANY of my former gym partners there have as well. 24 hour fitness= LOSERS!!!!!!

First of all they will keep you on hold for more than one 35 minutes second I asked the person about some information for my membership she said I don t have any information so I asked the person about any manager she said we don t have manager just supervisors so I said can I talk to her she said not till I give me you information and ID member !!!!
Thanks god there are so many better companies around....

I'm a member of the Citrus Heights club and enjoying working with the ropes for the last year. The trainers start putting the ropes in a locked room and told me I could not use them. The attendance there would let me obtain the ropes and I continued with my work outs with ropes. Now each attendance is told not to let me in the room to obtain the ropes and I can't use them unless I'm with a trainer. I don't need a trainer and I am not willing to pay $65.00 an hour for one. It's been two weeks and I have not been there to return to my routine. Thanks to the trainer Jackie K. who started this problem.
Now they are telling me that the ropes are for trainers only. Did everyone know that? So... there are equipment that my membership does not cover. Hummmm... I can't stress enough how rude and unprofessional Jackie K. is as a human being. I've been a member for over 20 years and
there was a time you could ask anyone is a red shirt for help. That is no longer their policy.

SHAME ON 24 HOUR FITNESS IN TRYING TIMES. 24 Hour Fitness is not responding to emails, has shut down all its gyms, and has shut down all its phone numbers. Yet is is still charging members their auto pay memberships fees. There is no way to suspend memberships via our online account. It instructs us to phone to suspend account.

After towel service was taken away from super sports this year services have further diminished. Gym equipment, TVs, elevator, drinking fountains, dryers, showers are consistently broken w/out repair. Towel service was a way to induce customers to become super sport members 11-12 yrs ago as a part of their reorganization and marketing strategy. This service has not been replaced by any other service to its members who paid into the towel service as a super sport service from its inception. Services have continued to get worse.

The 24 hour fitness on lemon street in Fullerton, ca is Mob Hang out place where all thieves hang out, and all employees are in the cahoot, steeling from customers , employees at front desk are ignorant, dumb , stupid, and disrespectful. we complained and complained to corporate office, but i think they are dumber, all they care about charging you, left and right, facility is dirty, stinky, very unhealthy.
watch for front desk girls, they are dumb as they get and thieves.
