Took my car in for an airbag recall, when I got my car back it was an absolute mess, anything that was in the front of the car was thrown all over the back seat, loose screws from the airbag install were also found all over. I would not bring your Subaru here for any service unless absolutely necessary. I'd give zero stars if that were possible.

Update

They called my wife and tried to convince her to have me remove this review by giving free services. While I am grateful that they are now making an attempt to make things right with the crucial service that I required this still doesn't make this right. Do the job right the first time. I still stand by this and would recommend any other Subaru dealership than this one.

Awful Dealership, the technicians suck and do not know what they are doing. I would not trust them with an 83 honda if I had to. Read the other reviews they rip people off and lie about their cars. Glad I didn't buy a car but I did have some service done and they suck. I own 3 Subarus and these guys are the worst dealership in the country. They are giving subaru a bad name. HORRIBLE, DO NOT GO THERE!!!!

I've had my old Subaru Outback serviced at Young Subaru for some years now, and have always had good experience with the service department - usually dealing with Nathan Kester. Nathan and the other folks there are always great to deal with - they take the time to explain what's being done and why, and honest feedback about what needs immediate attention and what is less than urgent. Just bought another Subaru from Young (sales associate Torin Boyd), and can say that the sales process was not only painless but a much better experience than I was expecting.

I purchased a 2013 Subaru outback with a little over 100,000 miles on it back in April of 2020. They told me they had done all the checks and replaced everything to make it sellable and said there was no problems with the vehicle. In July, my oil light came on and I figured it was just the Subaru burning oil which is common in most Subaru's. I put a carton of oil in it and thought nothing more of the issue. I got the oil changed and another couple months later I had to do it again. I took it into Young Subaru to do basic maintenance and they told me I have a oil leak coming out of the engine block. They proceeded to tell me this is about a $2,200 fix. Because I only bought this car in April and the problem was only realized in July, I expected them to at least help me out with the cost. They won't. It is easy to concluded that someone wasn't honest in the whole transaction. This car should have been $2,200 cheaper or the oil leak should have been fixed prior to the sale.

I highly don't recommend anyone buy a car from this location. Especially a location with dishonest staff.

Nate Walker is a great guy to help you find a nice vehicle that fits your needs. Once you buy from him, you ll come back to him for the next one too because he doesn t give off that creepy car salesman vibe. He genuinely wants to help you get in the best car for your needs. Tyson Walker (the GM) runs a very clean and friendly dealership. He s very personable and fun to just chat with so if you come visit and test drive a car, see if Tyson s on-site. He will be an instant friend and he ll remember you each time you come back to visit. I took my husband's old Subaru Brat there to get repaired as a birthday gift to him. They called and told me it was fixed. My husband drove it home and said it was making a horrible noise. We had to have the car towed up there again because after they had "fixed" it, it was in such bad shape we didn't dare drive it. They called a second time saying it was the carburetor, which they replaced, and this didn't fix the car. They called a third time saying they wanted to replace the distributor cap and plugs. At this point, we said no thanks. I have never heard of a mechanic who randomly replaces parts on a car without first testing to see if that part is faulty. We ended up paying them around $1000.00 and having to have the car towed back to our house. I am very disappointed with the level of service we received here.

They caused our battery to die on their property and didn't even tell us it died in their possession.. Made us leave the lot with it only charged up.. But they finally came correct and gave us a 3 year warranty battery.. Of course only coming at them with evidence on video n audio that they were in the wrong..You can see it on youtube.. Do not get your car serviced here if you are a woman!! They will take advantage of you!! They told me I needed new front and rear brakes. When I went to get a second opinion, I found out that my brakes are almost brand new!! I called the manager, and it's been over a week and not even a returned phone call!

We had a factory recall that we needed to have taken care of. We called and asked about it and the gentleman told us that he would order the part and call us when it arrives so we could set an appointment. Over a month later I called again because I never got a call back from them. Another gentleman apologized for their failure on calling us back and said they had 4 parts in stock for us. He encouraged us to make an appointment so he could reserve the part and so we did. He told us his name and told us to ask for him personally so he could take care of us--nice! Four days later I call ahead and the person I talked with confirmed the appointment and added details upon my request. They also offered a rental car. Sweet!

My wife then drives down and at first nobody knows anything about the appointment--including the gentleman who had set it up a few days previous. No rental was offered to her and they told her that if she leaves then the job would take 4 hours instead of 2.5. That doesn't make any sense! We had an appointment! Having my wife wait in the lobby instead of going to do other things should not affect the time it takes to get a job done when we had an appointment for the work.

The repair staff was very professional and friendly and I appreciate that. I don't know what is so wrong with the place that they forgot to call me back, the appointment, the rental car, and the strange increase in job time if my wife didn't wait in the lobby. Something is strange about the way things are ran at this dealership's repair shop. I was not impressed.

We also looked at cars both new and used here about half a year ago. Tanner was fantastic and didn't pressure us at all. The senior salesman, though, employed several social engineering tactics on us and I wouldn't have any of it. The cars were too expensive and we were able to find a Subaru for a much better value (even after repairs done) elsewhere.

EDIT: We asked them to check the squeaking brakes of our car while it was in for the aforementioned factory recall. They told us the brakes looked great and the squeaking was probably just cheap brakes or dirt. Well, a month later, the squeaking finally went away as they said but was replaced with a grinding noise. I immediately took the car to a mechanic in my town and they found metal-on-metal grinding. Now instead of replacing the brakes I'm replacing rotors too. I doubt this dealership even looked at the brakes. Now I'm wondering if they even did the factory recall on the air bag...

I don't blame them for the ground rotors as after two weeks of squeaking I should have known they were wrong in their diagnostic. I just expect for something as simple as low brake pads they would have seen it. But either they didn't look or they are too inept to gauge brake thickness. Either way, terrible customer care and integrity with these mechanics and senior salesmen. Buyer beware.

First, let me begin by saying that this is the 2nd vehicle I have purchased from Young Automotive and, once again, it was an exceptional experience. I purchased a new 2017 WRX and couldn't be happier with it. The car aside, the whole purchase experience was hassle-free and I was dealt with fairly. From the moment I stepped onto the showroom until I drove off the lot, I never felt pressured or uneasy about the entire process. A great many thanks to Michal Kappos, and yes, it is spelled Michal, for making me feel like a valued customer. As my salesman he was very professional, knowledgeable, and never made me feel pressured. He was more interested in my needs than simply selling me a vehicle. And my trade was only 3 months old with 7000 miles, 2016 Kia Forte SX, and they still gave me well above trade-in value. It seems that Young Subaru has shed the traditional car buying experience of days of old. I have purchased over a dozen new cars in the last 20 years from dealerships around Utah and I can say with honesty that Young Subaru has changed the system altogether. Gone are the times of spending countless hours, sometimes days, negotiating a mutually agreeable price. And then throw in a trade where you are at least 5K back-of-book and well...good luck! Not at Young Subaru. They handled it all in just a few hours and I highly recommend Michal Kappos and staff.

There was a coupon for free safety with emissions so I took my vehicle to the services department at the end of April with an appointment. After waiting an hour and a half the person comes back to tell me that they cannot do the emissions test because their hub is not installed and didn't even bother doing the safety. Take another hour on the following Monday in May to be told I failed safety for a leaking power steering. I checked it myself and found that the leaking wasn't coming from the power steering at all and took it to mb auto performance in sunset and they took a look and confirmed that it wasn't my power steering at all and they fixed my other fail of a idler arm in less time than it took for Subaru services to waste my time. I would never go to Subaru services for anything. Either they are incompetent or they are just trying to scam you of money and your time. Tried to get in contact with their service manager and got voice mail. Couldn't even leave a message.
