Really enjoyed our stay. Great customer service. Not a luxurious but If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing hotel this is the place. And pet friendly.
I was there visiting a guest. It was suggested that I take a look at the hotel for my wedding reception. Although I cannot comment on the customer service because I had no interaction, the housekeeping of the section of the hotel that I visited was horrible. There was water covering the pool level's floor. The elevator appeared to have crushed snacks in it as well as a dog scented like odor. The hallway had not been vaccumed and there were smudges all over the window in the hallway. However, the room itself was nice and indeed clean as well as the bathroom. The room was in pretty good condition with the exception of spots on the ceiling and the actual door entrance was loose at the bottom. The view was beautiful! It was dark so I can't comment on the patio's condition. Note, my visit was in the evening. This is peak season. Maybe housekeeping had gone home for the night. The main entrance steps also needed repair. Overall, the hotel is not the worst. They could have just been having a bad evening.
Check in was quick and easy. Room is exactly as described. Staff is very nice. Wifi is terrible.

The room has bedbugs and mold is all over the place even in the front lobby. The customer service is trouble. I can tell they are used to getting Complaints. This hotel needs to be close down. I will have pictures all over my Facebook
Was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Went for my 18th wedding anniversary. We paid for a oceanfront king suite.
It was far from a suite. The bathroom was super small, we had to take turns going in. The refrigerator didn't work and they took forever to replace it. The balcony is also very small. And the entire hotel smells of weed. It's overpriced for what you get.
Whether you're staying a night,weekend or more. The staff will make you feel welcome.

I was there for a Sunday wedding. It was a beautiful day for a wedding. This was a very nice place. Staff was friendly. I will visit again.
We ate at the Surf Beach Club restaurant. Great view, good food, service was just ok.
My husband booked 3 nights for our 40th wedding anniversary with our girls. The view from my 10th floor balcony was awesome. Had no hot water the entire stay, called the front desk. Maintenance came up and stated there is an issue with water between the buildings and high occupancy. The furniture is dated, and the rooms lighting could be improved. Overall, if you travel with your 4 legged babies, it is very accommodating. The staff are very friendly and professional.

My husband and I checked in for 2 nights.
First of all for almost 200 a night including the taxes and all the fees they tack on.... the hotel should be cleaner. We checked in Sunday night. The hotel was almost empty keep in mind. They stuck us in room 209 . Which was directly over the pump room mechanical room. Very noisy all night running of course. I went to front desk at 430 or so Monday morning asking about this loud noise. Of course they didn't do ANYTHING. Or offer another room. Or a discount. At 400 for 2 nights you should at least be able to SLEEP. We went to the beach come back ... could not get in the room. I went to front desk as I thought it was the key. The rude lady at the front desk asked for ID. Before she could check my key card . and of course we were at the beach so I did not have my drivers license down on the beach. So she was no help. Sent maintenance up. Turned out it was the actual lock on the door that was broke. So we wait another hour to get in room. The maintenance people were very nice. The house keeping staff was very nice. But those people at the front are no help for anything but taking your money. We searched the hotel for an ice machine. Which we never found. A nice lady in the restaurant finally helped me out and filled up our ice bucket. The amenities suck. All in all this hotel with the rude people at front desk and all the broken stuff.( By the way our fridge did not work either) it's not worth what they charge. Only good thing about this place is the location.
Hotel is a bit dated but serviceable. Was there for an event that hotel was advised about the number of people attending. So severely understaffed that service was abominable
Run down hotel, not kept up to standards. Paint chipping, areas rusting, bathrooms not so clean and outdated. Makes sense why prices were lower than others. Out of the way, convenient that there's a shuttle. Beautiful view, very nice staff. Beach nothing to brag out at all.
Location is right next to the beach, so if you don't get a room with a view of the beach, it's a convenient 100 meter walk. Staff is friendly. Room is alright, and I liked how our room came with a separate sliding door that goes outside. But later, we found a cockroach and had to dispose of it ourselves. Personally, I wasn't freaked out but my sister was going nuts and scared out of her mind, so I kinda wished we received some kind of compensation or inconvenience fee. Tub doesn't drain properly, and if I wanted to take a nice bath, the plug doesn't do its job.
After a long 10 day on my construction job I drove 4 hours here to spend a weekend with the family. I came in about 1 AM and went straight for the shower after a day in the heat. I tell you, I was more disgusted after my shower than before. I found myself pressed against the wall avoiding contact with the shower curtain... It was coved in MOLD and MILDEW!! There was more black than white on the bottom portion of the curtain. I was SO EMBARRASSED and HORRIFIED. After placing a complaint they came to no resolve and left us with this filthy curtain. Simply negligent and disturbing!!
Reserved a week ago to let kids play in pool and me relax in hot tub *indoor specific* and they gentlemen said everything was set, had pack n play in room for us, we called the day before checking in to confirm reservation, and they said it was ready, we check In and the lady tells us where the pool is and when we try to go in it's locked and under construction then we say something and the day says oh yeah it's under construction as of this morning , yet she tells us how to access and where to find the pool and told us ahead of time everything was fine.
For an off-season visit to Virginia Beach this hotel was a good place to rest your head. They are pet friendly and provide areas to walk your dog (even though a lot of people fail to clean up after their pets). The hotel restaurant is good for a quick beer or bite to eat with access out to the beach. It's about 3 miles north of some of the main shopping and dining, but with bikes it is an easy ride. We booked this hotel on Priceline and were very pleased.
Great place to stay. Kids loved the indoor and outdoor pools.
The only good thing about this hotel is the balcony view on the 8th floor. Refrigerator was not cleaned. Old food was in fridge when we arrived. No towels. Shower knob had a ring of mildew around it. Such a disappointment. This is definitely not a 3 star hotel.
Great if you have a dog. However VA Beach itself isnt very dog friendly. So the fact the hotel was so dog friendly made our vacation much better!
The air conditioner broke in our room and the maintenance guy came quite a few times over the course of an evening to fix it. It never did work and we slept in a very hot room. They didn't have a screen on the balcony door either so we couldn't even get a breeze from outside without getting bit by mosquitos. I complained to the front staff at check out and they offered me 50% back. I never did receive that money back and I think it should have been 100% back.

Rooms and hallways had a smell of uncleanliness. Bathtub was plugged up. Although they did fix that. Would never stay her again! Nice beach access.

it's a hotel at the beach in a resort city, it's cleaner and better run during the off season, in season it's full of vacationers and can at times be difficult if you are looking for quiet and romance
The rooms were pretty clean. Prices weren't to bad. The view of the ocean made everything ten times better. Would definitely stay there again

When we arrived our room had at least 10 bugs in it. On the bed, on the walls, and on the ceilings. The property was not very clean overall. We ended up leaving as soon as we arrived.
I enjoyed my stay at the Wyndham. The room was clean and there was good customer service.
The only reason I gave two stars is because of the view and the staff. The owner of this hotel should be ashamed! Bed linens so dingy they will never be white again, lumpy mattress and pillows. Bathroom grout disgusting dirty. AC unit cover has probably never been cleaned. The door sill as you enter room filthy. Knew is pet friendly but didn't know dogs would be allowed to poop all over the beach! Do not stay here!!!

The hallways had no air and the lock on my door was broken. You have to walk outside to another building to get to your room. The front desk is across the street. Customer service was good tho.
The hotel was extremely clean and pleasing to the eye. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful! It would be nice (since nothing else is nearby) for the restaurant to offer some inexpensive foods such as subs/hamb/sand and salads. Overall, a wonderful experience that ended too soon. I'll be back next year!
first room was nasty. ants crawling on nightstand, food left from previous customers, and dirty sheets. after contacting customer service, kevin happily moved us from floor 3 to floor 11 where our stay immediately improved. the room was clean and bug free, great view, and no hassle at all when contacting customer service. kevin really improved our stay within a matter of minutes!
Rooms were dirty. Mold on curtains and AC unit. Staff friendly. Location is good (no boardwalk, which makes it good for families to have a good time at the beac).

Had a holiday party there. There meeting spaces were nice enough. We stayed on the 10th floor and their elevators were broken! All of them in our tower! The room had water on the carpet either from the AC or a terrible seal on the door. The hallways were freezing due to the being vented to the outside. Overall our event was good and the hotel room and accommodations were terrible.
Please read before booking. Its a over priced fleabag hotel. My advice is stay away. Especially if you have someone with a disability. They don t want you here. I won t get personal about my family, but there are a few things that have to be a certain way is all I will say. Called before making reservations to check if they had a microwave in the room and was told yes. While all rooms have access to a dirty microwave in a common room not all rooms have a microwave. The room was dirty and falling apart just look at the photos. I told the lady s at the desk that the room was not what we where told and they didn t care. I explained our situation and that this was not working with the disability we had to work with. Over and over I tried to explain that this disability is hard to deal with and that things had to be a certain way. And all they said was if we didn t like it we could leave. Well that s fine and good except I spent the last of our money on this place. it wasn t that easy. I called about an extra towel and was told they would send one right up. Ok a room with two queen size beds and only two towels? Who does this? Then about a half hour later the pipes started banning. So I called about that and to see if they where our towel was. They said right away and he would check on the pipes. But they must have forgotten to tell him. He finally came with a towel then started to turned away. I said hay what about the pipes? He seemed to be surprised. Unfortunately when he was there the pipes were not making any noise but I recorded part of it and played it for him. I couldn t post the video but it was loaded. He assured me he would do something to fix the problem. I assumed that ok they will call a plumber or move us to another room. Something. Anything. But forget it. They did nothing. The next day I got paid. So I got up early and went down the road and found another hotel. It was a little more money but it was a short vacation and I was trying to save it. I checked in. But unfortunately it was to little to late. Because of this particular disability our vacation was ruined. There was no saving it. When I checked out of the old hotel I made sure to talk to a manager. That was a waste of time. I explained that where were checking out. The reasons why and I made sure she understood it was as much as the way we were treated as it was how bad the rooms where. She assured me the treat all their guest the same. So I ask, you treat all your guest this bad? Didn t like that and said I twisted her words. I didn t twist anything I just repeated them to our situation. It gets better. She acted as if they where doing us a favor by letting us check out early. When I told her of all the things wrong she didn t seem to care. It was bad enough to get such bad care from the staff but the manager too? I explained about the pipes and first she told me that they called a plumber in the morning. In the morning. So we where just left to deal with it all night? She asked if we requested another room? I told her no because they said they would rectify the situation. She said we will. We will? So I am to blame. I made the assumption that they would do something, anything when they told me they would. When they told me they would rectify the situation I assumed that they would change our room or at the very least fix the problem, but I guess having to pay a plumber extra to come in the evening was to much to pay. It was better to leave people in a room like that. I would not recommend this hotel to someone with or without special needs. The only people I would recommend this place to is the health inspector. Without knowing the disability it s hard to understand how this effected the whole vacation. It s hard to explain how this has the effect to ruin future vacations at the beach, but believe me this will have lasting effects. In the end they charged us for one night and we left. Unfortunately they don t deserve the one star. FYI I posted this review 2 weeks after our stay so I could calm down and be fair.

I only give it a two star due to staff being very friendly and the view was awesome. Stayed here 3 nights. I never seen any cleaning at all in this room. I had to take the trash out myself and place towels out in the hall and call to get new towels. The hotel itself is dirty in the halls. The indoor and outdoor pool was disgusting. Had this grimey slimey sludge floating around and a duck swimming it the pool. No microwave in my room and there was peeling paint and the room was just not clean. During the day when the staff was cleaning other rooms you could barely walk down the halls because they had trash and dirty linens piled up. I had to move dirty linens and a large cart in order for my mother with a walker to walk down the hall. The night we wanted to order room service the restaurant was closed. I was very disappointed with this. We pay for these amenities such as a pool, hot tub and room service and can't use any of these. This hotel is not worth the money.
It was the overall worst hotel I've ever stayed at that charge almost 200 a night for a run down place the whole place needs to be refurbished and if you want to pay for a view you might as well put $100 more and stay somewhere else. For a place beside the ocean and that has a pool and no air dryer. We were placed in a room and had to move out. We originally booked a night and then changed our minds call to extend and instead of extending they rebooked us. Our first room was half clean and they told me no maid will be coming to rooms after we entered but instead of having the maid reclean the room they sent them to pick up the trash that was left from the last guess while I was out. They then told us they have to move us from the room we were in. When we told them we weren't moving they said we could pay more to stay in that room, but we refused. The manager then came n told us the room is not available and that they did us a favor for the first night and how unappreciative we were. The pictures are not what they are now . I'll never stay here again or with Wyndham I'm sorry.

We like this hotel but we was here for four days and no housekeeping. Had to get towels and washcloths brought up to the room. The restaurant inside hotel was awesome, we ate lunch and breakfast there one of our days. Staff and food was great

I would have been better off staying at a Motel 6. No towels or rags the 1st day & most of the 2nd day. Had to go to Walmart and buy my own. Water wouldn't go out the tub after a shower. Front desk nor Housekeeping will answer the phone. This is by far 1 of the worst hotels I've stayed at. Easter weekend 2021. I give them 5 down & a half of
I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago with my family and housekeeping has very poor service the towels and bed set was nasty, when I called to speak with the housekeeping manager she was very rude and nasty and seem to not care about my problems. I wouldn t recommend this hotel to no one. With all this Covid going on the Cleanliness of the rooms are not good at all.

Me and my family stayed at this hotel for 1 day and couldn t stand it anymore! There were blood stains on the pillow cases. Cockroaches in the bathrooms and clogged bathtub! EVERYTHING WAS DIRTY! They didn t even give me a discount and they had to put me on a blanket waitlist because they didn t have any and when it came it was all ripped and stained If you re looking for a nice place to stay PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HERE!! The pool was also very dirty and moldy. Will never stay here again
Great location! Since the update, they removed the microwave from the rooms in the tower. Room was not very clean, air conditioner vent look like they haven't been cleaned in months and bed skirts have stains on them. Moved the phone and lamp from bedside table and there was what looked like juice and coffee stuck underneath them. There were cigarette ashes in the drawer of a "non-smoking" room.

On May 17th, they gave us their Expedia.com room (you know, moldy walls, unclean bathrooms, dirty bedding, stained carpets) but beautiful view. Anyways, we immediately left the hotel and was granted a refund. Exactly one month later, they charged us AGAIN. This time, they refused to answer my calls or e-mails. Truly weird. My bank helped me out but geez. Felt completely fraudulent on the hotels part.
I really wouldn t have even given one star. Place was filthy and grossly overpriced! Sheets were never changed. Pillow cases had blood and makeup on them. When I called front desk about it, housekeeping was out of sheets!! Smoke detector broken, toilet wouldn t flush. Nothing was wiped down, door in hotel rooms are old and don t close properly. Pet friendly hotel, so you have the pleasure of hearing dogs bark all night! As far as outside of property.....garbage was overflowing in every garbage can. No maintenance cleanup on property. Beer bottle and cans left out all night by outside bar. The restaurant food in hotel was nasty and decor old and stained. I would have without a doubt left however I was in town for my moms funeral and had no other options.

This is such a nice hotel, love the restaurant and room service is really good. I am happy I was able to do my daily workout at the gym and laps at the pool The PRICE is perfect! amazing live music and beach front. Thanks to Wi-Fi I am still on top of my online courses :)
Just recently stayed and wasn't satisfied. No wash cloths in the bathroom and the caulking was nasty around the tub. The glass doors to the balcony were filthy. The room wasn't vacuumed. There was also no facial tissue in our room.The TV lost service for 4 hours. Although we had the do not disturb sign on the door, housekeeping still knocked.. The room ac unit didn't work properly and there was no ac throughout the building so it was extremely hot. The restaurant food sucked considering the high prices. Flies were everywhere and the hall smelled of dog urine. There was no ice machine on our floor. The layout of the hotel was confusing as well.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I usually leave a cash tip for the housekeeper. However, the only tip I left this time was a list of area's that were not clean. Lots of dust & soap scum in bath tub.
I chose a high level oceanfront view and the view was great but the bed was TERRIBLE! They need to replace the mattresses. Worst night sleep I ve ever had. The staff was great. Overall the hotel is dated. And my room was near the elevator and I heard everyone get on and off. Simple upgrades like not a cheap spring mattress with a crater in the middle would go a long way.
I haven t been out of the house since March because of Covid, I decided to take a two day trip to the beach (which would be my only trip this summer). Needless to say I am on my way home a day to early. Front desk didn t even ask why I was leaving a day early when I told them. After waiting 45 mins in a crowded no mask line/ no social distancing I arrived to my room to find pain pills left under the desk. Sand and hair was left in the tub. I called the front desk twice to ask why there was a room on our floor that looked quarantined with plastic covering ceiling to floor around the balcony and a wrapped up bed in the hallway. First answer was a customer prolly did that cause they were there with kids, second answer was hmm I didn t know anything about that. My fear is if there was a Covid case it should have to be known to others there. Thanks for the waste of money.
Loved the room and loved the view. Not crowded at all my family of 3 had plenty of room on the beach. Ppl arent crammed in too close together like at Myrtle Beach. I definitely wanna go again and stay at this hotel.
No fitted sheet on the beds, not sound proof, you can hear everyone walking by. Our rooms floor was sticky? Just don t waste your money here.
This hotel, it's a hidden gem at the ocean front. We found a good deal online. Friendly staff, great restaurant, ocean facing room. Can't go wrong. Free parking too!
The beach is perfect in this spot, the resort is pretty outdated though. It wasn't what I was expecting from Wyndham. We've toured their Gatlinburg property which is gorgeous. We actually got stuck in the hot elevator and my husband had to pry the door open. The staff was great though and I was just happy to find a room last min to take the kids to the beach after leaving Williamsburg.
We had our wedding here and I can t recommend them enough. The staff is super friendly and took care of all our needs. The hotel was comfortable but it did seem a little older. Our view of the ocean was amazing.
