The location of the Hotel was far from all the stores and restaurants but other than that it was decent.

Called to reserve a room for 3 days. Was told they needed a card to reserve the room, that we would not be charged until we arrived. Well they DID take the money. Then when we called to resolve the problem they said the lady should have told us that there was notging they could do. Needless to say they did nothing!!! Will never stay here again

Clean rooms, nice custodians, and nice view of the beach.

The hotel set away from all the hussle and bussle of the broadway but it was still on the beach. It was very peaceful. We really enjoyed our time!

It was wonderful....staff extremely kind...room was amazing...would stay here again if ever have the opportunitu!!

Nice and clean rooms, exceptional customer service, great great great location because it's not surrounded by other hotels. We had a wonderful view of the beach from our balcony and I loved that they had the music on in the room when I got there. What a nice touch! I see that they're doing a lot of remodeling so I can't wait to go back next year and see the renovations that they've made!!

The room was clean,good looking and had a nice view of the ocean.The staff and guest were friendly and it was off the strip so the beach was not crowded.The restaurant was upscale and delicious as well.

Oceanfront views are awesome! Hotel could use a good cleaning and some upgrades, as well as customer service.

Bud bugs!! The bed bugs made life miserable; I had to throw away clothes and the itchy bites drove me insane. The actual room and bathroom was very dirty, mold everywhere.

The ocean was absolutely beautiful and the location is perfect for avoiding crowds. But you re better off finding another hotel or an Airbnb. Even a cheap motel would be cleaner and hopefully bed bug free. Save yourself from bed bug hell and avoid this place.

We rented an oceanfront room for one day. We were excited due to the fact that they were pet friendly. Check in was at 4pm, very late and I was supposed to receive a phone call, but it took me to call the hotel to even check if the room was ready. We were given the keys to our room and the moment we walked in, we were hit in the face by the smell of dog piss. I immediately called the front desk and we were given another room. Chairs were broken, bathroom had hairs everywhere and the bathtub clearly hadn t been cleaned for a good long while. I paid 250 for a horrible room. Please don t stay here, I m pretty sure this place is a perfect place to contract COVID-19

Prolly the grossest hotel I've ever stayed in. I've been to Motel 6 establishments that are more comfortable. Building smells gross, ants in 3 of the rooms I had been in, air units in the rooms are loud and don't seem to regulate temp good at all, & staff is very unprofessional. First day I checked in my room h ad no towels and there was same all over the floor. What's weird is that it seemed like every day there was more and more sand in the room, and I never went to the beach as I was here staying on business, not recommended for this. I would give zero stars if possible.

This morning there was a cockroach in our bathroom. We took a picture and told the front desk upon checkout and all the man said was, oh yeah that s a water bug (also known as an oriental cockroach per google). It happens sometimes when it rains, take care. Disgusting. Will never stay there again, not only because of the cockroach but because the staff was so unhelpful and dismissive. And if I were you I wouldn t stay there if it s raining or has rained so you don t get cockroaches in your room.

On the beach and decent ballrooms is about it for getting stars. The rooms are old outdated and there's nothing in walking distance to do

Hotel is old and needs updating and has an odor. Rooms are not clean. Called housekeeping about bathroom not being clean, sent housekeeper back to the room who was very nice to clean the bathroom again that she supposedly admitted having had cleaned. I watched her use the same cleaning cloth on the toilet and top of the mirror that was full of dirt and then wanted to clean the bath tub, stopped her and thanked her then and told she did not have to do anything else. I would never stay there again. UNSANITARY. Stayed at this dump May 20, checked out May 24 2019

Room was nice but the hotel is dirty, and staff is not friendly.

Alexis at the front desk is the most helpful hotel employee I have ever encountered and shows the integrity that any employer would be lucky to have

Service at check in was great. Very friendly personnel. Room was clean, although I did notice alot of rust on pieces in the bathroom and the lock on the sliding patio door. A worker came by and asked if we needed anything. We told her we needed a new sheet. However, no one ever came with that sheet. Nor did anyone come and change our towels, we had to call the front desk and request them. But no major issues with out stay.

Too many roaches in my room
Left the very next day.
Never go back.

The good: The price was reasonable and it was conveniently located on the beach. Our room was beach side with a balcony - nice view. We interacted with the staff multiple times and they were friendly enough. We went after Labor day so parking was not a problem. The lobby was clean. The adjacent restaurant was spacious, clean, and served really good food! Many other choices for good food in the area.

The bad: The hotel is generally not well-kept! In our opinion, our floor was down right filthy (aside from the lobby). Granted, we were on a floor that allowed pets. The carpets were disgusting from the elevators to the rooms. The odor was not great. They should replace all the carpeting with laminate flooring in my opinion. Our room was ready before the 4pm check-in time but did not have enough towel sets for our family. We requested 3 full sets and bath mat 3 times, once in person and twice by phone. 5 hours later nothing. My wife went down to the front desk and ask them to have someone bring the towels directly there. When we needed more towels after that, we got them within an hour. I think I overheard that there was a problem with the dryers.

Recommendation: I do not recommend this hotel because its dirtiness made me very uncomfortable. I wish they would be more proactive and take better care in keeping the place clean. The little details are very important. I realize it's a difficult task since travelers can also be dirty slobs and not respect the property. But the lack of cleanliness was the big deal breaker for me. The hotel is already in a great location. It would do wonders for customer satisfaction to not make any excuses and really clean the place up.

Found old food on the floor between the bed and table, there was blood stains in a pillow and blanket anf had roaches crawling on the wall. Besides that was a enjoyable stay

The Dinner Detective show here was fun. The room was tidy but the toilet was broken. It is right on the beach so access is a breeze. The restaurant was being renovated but the service and food were both excellent.

We love the location on the north end, in addition to being a pet friendly hotel. Always our favorite place to stay when we visit the area for quick trip getaways.

This place was not worth the money at all, beds were horrible, none of the ice makers worked on any of the floors, the pool was dirty, had stuff floating in it and dirty diapers laying at the pool. Staff was not friendly, would not recommend this hotel at all.

I had my eye on the Wyndham as a wedding venue for awhile and we decided to host elsewhere after the service we had. We set up a meeting with the head of events and she forgot so she sent another girl from room blocking (who was fabulous) to meet with us. Following our meeting, we still were interested after what we were shown but we never received additional information (contract we requested, pricing, etc) and, weeks later, booked elsewhere. It's such a beautiful hotel and we are so disappointed the staff in events doesn't have the customer service to match it.

Even tho we did not stay at this hotel, We ate at the restaurant there the day we left couldn't have ended the vaca weekend any better! Great servers and veiw

Pool is nasty, hot tub is nasty! Cabinets coming off hindges. Curtains ripped. The one good thing is they allow dogs. Mold was growing on the ceiling and wall of 1603. Toilet seat in 1603 looked as if someone had stuck toilet paper to the seat that wouldn't come off and the bathroom door sticks. The railing on the deck was wide enough that a 5 year old could have slipped through it. I did like the housekeeping staff and the,resturants server, Lisa. This is far away,from the other hotels and I did like that. Needs a lot of work!

My beverage came after food and was carbonated so during my meal I had nothing to drink then finally got it then sat empty for the 24 min till I left ps. I timed it waiter never did follow up and it was not busy only and i counter 15 people in there unless a miracle happen I will never go back tacos where cold my wife says and i quote one star is to much for what we spendt I'm not full when I left either

Roaches, Our toilet had poop in it when we walked in, Phone didn't work. Room had been remodeled and interior was nice

Very much enjoyed our stay. Room was nice and the staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. Being a bit more isolated made beach crowds a bit more manageable. It was hot in the hallways but given the value of the resort that seemed a minor issue. Would return.

My children and I visited the oceanfront restaurant and enjoyed it very much. The service was excellent -- friendly, helpful staff -- and the food was very good. Of course, the atmosphere was wonderful, since we had our meal outdoors. Nothing quite like an ocean breeze!

Wyndham VB Oceanfront was very nice and relaxing. I enjoyed my time with my hun. I can't wait to bring my kids here in the summer time.

The hotel can use some repairs, maintenance, and house cleaning but the Karl and Lisa (the waiter and waitress) and Max, the driver were excellent.

I am very disappointed in this experience. We booked an oceanfront room for my 30th birthday and once we got there, we were informed that they did not have any oceanfront rooms available. Horrible customer service.

Location is away from everything, so you need a vehicle. View is ok on oceanside. Rooms are bland. Amenities are bland. Our room smelled like cigarettes. Yuk!! Pillows disappear when you lay your head on them. None of the staff want to be bothered for anything. No welcome feeling at all. Rates are crazy for none of the service to be here. And the food is high price with no flavor. Even the dessert was bland. We won't be back here.

Best place to stay if you are thinking of spending time at the Oceanfront Virginia Beach VA. Way less crowded

Attended a conference here. Very well done. The food was decent and I had a nice time. The entrance was not well indicated from the road and a little difficult to find the first day. Beach access is also a little weird but that might be because I didn't know as I wasn't staying there.

The staff could benefit from an intensive customer service couses or two...or more! Shhh

Just okay. Not as nice as the photos on the website in dire need of fresh paint and general updating. Pros are it's quiet and away from the noise of the boardwalk if you're looking for a peaceful get away.

Attended training event only--didn't stay as a guest. Therefore rating is based only on the ballroom area. Initial arrival I interacted with front desk staff to get directions to the meeting location. Very professional and friendly interaction. Ballroom area was very well arranged and clean. Conference room was well arranged for the event, temperature setting was comfortable, ice water and mints available in back of room. Overall great experience.

Me and my family have throughly enjoyed our stay In Wyndham for the past couple of days.
They re staff are very accommodating, the front desk girls are very friendly and helpful, they did their best to provide housekeeping services during the quarantine. the view from the room was just lovely, balcony was quite and spaces.

There are stains on the curtains and their furnitures are slightly outdated, there is minor smell coming from the carpet but we understood that because the place is pet friendly and our cat enjoyed her stay as well.

We recommend the hotel and will come back for stays.

Don't let the negative reviews prevent you from staying at the hotel, our room was nice and clean, bathrooms appear to be dated but looks like bedrooms have been remodeled, the hotel staff has been super nice especially the server at the restaurant. The hotel is located north of the board walk which allows a relaxing environment away from the crowd of people, I would definitely stay at the hotel again

Location is great, a very nice hotel, but no 24hr room service which would be great for coming in late. 4 1/2 stars

Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night for no reason, front desk was not only NOT helpful but also rude. The rooms are dated, the food is terrible, the only good thing is the view, which you can get at plenty of other locations. I was scared there would be bed bugs. If our friend wasn't getting married here, we would never have even have checked in. Awful. Not even worth a star. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Weirdly dated hotel with bizarre architecture, but the location was great, and the beach wasn't crowded. During check in, the woman at the front desk was the rudest hospitality worker I've ever met, but the other staff were perfectly friendly.

My fraternity held its formal in Wyndham and it was amazing. The staff was friendly and it's right on the beach. The only issue we had was that you only get one parking pass per room, so because we had two couples in our room only one of us got to park in the garage. We were able to find a spot on the side of the road to park, but that was our only issue. Great time otherwise!

Booked a hotel with a bar so we didn't have to go anywhere and they said it was closed for a private party. No room service because of this party either. It's a mile from the rest of the bars and restaurants, thank god for Uber!

Went for a rehearsal dinner, and the atmosphere and food were both very good.

Quiet location, nice rooms, all ocean facing. Away from the house of the boardwalk.

Overall experience was fairly pleasant. My friends and I stayed in a double with an oceanfront view. The rooms were nice, albeit appearing a tad aged and certain areas of the room (the bathroom and hallway outside the room) did not smell the best. We were originally staying on the 3rd floor, but upon inspection we discovered ants on the nightstand and chip crumbs (probably causing the ant problem) left between the bed and the nightstand. We re no Karens, so we weren t very upset, just assumed they were short staffed due to COVID-19. Regardless, my friend decided to contact the front desk and describe the issue. The front desk transferred us (blessedly) to a customer service representative. His name was Kevin, a kind and polite man who instantly understood and upgraded us up to the 11th floor. This room was far nicer, cool and free of trash or bugs. The view is gorgeous no matter what floor you are on, if you can afford the upgrade, do oceanfront 100%. Smooth sailing after we switched floors. Some of the other reviews on this place are a bit exaggerated. All in all; far away from the crowds, great view, chill atmosphere.

Will recommend. Good location, clean facilities. Staff was decent. Deducted 1 stat only because pool area was shabby, not maintained, low water in both the indoor pool and tub, towels lying around.

We were initially given a used room which I am going to assume was a honest mistake, no big deal. Room views were nice.

I am here usually once a month for business. This is the only place I will stay at! The front desk staff is so friendly and courteous. I enjoy the privacy of the Hotel from the strip, the bar with local craft beer on tap, and spacious rooms. I will continue making this my hotel of choice when away for work.

I don't have any opinions one way or the other about this place.

Over all my husband & i enjoyed our stay. We liked the privacy staying on that end of the strip. Staff very helpful & friendly. Now for the NOT so pleasant EXPERIENCE. We did not know pets were allowed on the premise, not that we are opposed to that what so ever, however our room was on the 5th floor 517 & i received numerous flea bites. We do not have a pet, so we did not bring the fleas on our vacation. We informed the front desk as we checked out, your staff apologized & we thanked her saying it was not her fault. Here's hoping our next stay we be flea free.

There was no heat at most of the meeting rooms all day Friday

Had dinner outside overlooking the beach. Very nice location. Food was OK, nothing special. Wine was good and inexpensive since it was happy hour. Only negative was the waiter didn't know the menu. We asked a specific question about an entree to which he responded. When the dish arrived, it was the opposite of what he had told us (cold rather than hot).

The location is great, the rooms are alright. The service is also alright. No free breakfast however.

Inside restaurant and bar. Patio right on the ocean with live music from some of the best bands and performers in VB. Jeremy at the walk up bar is awesome and friendly. Food service on patio as well. Beautiful spot.

Went here for a business conference. Food was not great. Bathrooms were hot. Overall dingy feeling.
