Good hotel. Close to convention center. Would benefit if directly connected to pathway system but otherwise excellent.

We had an ok stay. There was no glaring problems, but we were certainly not blown away. The parking is really hard to find if you do not know were it is. And it is not free. It costs like $32 to park overnight. They do offer valet service for a couple dollars more. The room was small. There was not any microwave or refrigerator in the room. The bathroom was very nice. They have a full spread continental breakfast.
Very friendly staff nice place to stay clean and a good breakfast.
We were staying here for Gencon and when we went to check in we were told there was a problem with our room. We had booked a double because we were supposed to be staying with friends but none were now available. The general manager found new rooms for us and bent over backwards to help us in any way he could. All of this during a super busy weekend. He was excellent and fixed what could have been a bad situation.
While the hotel could use some remodeling, considering it's location, the staff is nice and the location is killer for their usual rates.
I was only there for a short time but the desk were extremely helpful!
Great venue, complimentary continental breakfast, rooms are decent...
Rooms were fairly nice, view out of ours was towards the middle of the building and pretty bad, but whatever. Housekeeping didn't come back when they said they would and there was no hotel information in the room. Otherwise it was good, very close to the concert venue we went to and parking was very easy, even if a little expensive.
Located right next to IUPUI and close to the heart of downtown Indy, it's easy to walk places from this hotel. However, that means parking is limited. The garage is confusing and expensive ($32/day) but at least they have one. Rooms are updated and spacious with multiple TV's and a space for working. Bathrooms are also spacious. Free breakfast included which had fresh fruit and a variety of options that I wasn't afraid to try (unlike some other hotel breakfasts).
They are going through a change in the TV systems, so the room I am in now has a TV that does not display the channel you are on, the channels do not remotely line up to the channel guide in the room. And half the channels don't have sound.
When the "engineer" came to the room, he just said that some of the rooms are like that right now.
Rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was delicious, and the staff was friendly and accommodating
Expensive $235 a night with a view of the side of a industrial air conditioner (huge)
Nice place. Newly renovated. Rooms were hot and wouldn't cool.
Stayed here over night for a work event. Room was clean and well kept.
Picked up a visiting cousin. Difficult to park. Convenient location.
Bed was very hard. Nice clean room. Love the shower
Great location..clean rooms, and really good breakfast. Right across from the museum and the JW Convention Center. 5 minute walk to the city center. Would stay there again.
My visit for a convention was very pleasant! The staff were courteous and professional in helping me find my event and parking was very easy. The staff helped make my convention experience a success. The rooms were very clean and the space was great for what we needed.
Ate at the TGI Fridays inside the Fair Field. Great services
Overbooked constantly, sold our room out from under us and offered no repreive, then blamed the error on managers that were not there.
Only saw the restaurant... It was a little packed due to FDIC but otherwise it was good
Fairfield Inn & Suites is a great place to stay. It's nice, clean, and easy to use.
Loved having a suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Didn't stay here, was passing thru the lobby to go to TGI Fridays. Stopped at front desk to ask directions and the lady working(Jenn or Jennifer) was very snide and condescending-im assuming it was because I wasn't wearing a suit & tie. Not only will I never stay at this hotel, I will encourage everyone I know to stay somewhere else as well.
Very nice folks throughout including valet service. Nice clean rooms.
The location was very close to many attractions in Indianapolis. The rooms are a good size and we're very clean.
Room are nice clean, people at the front desk are very helpful. Good location.
The rooms here were very nice and the service was friendly. What was a little outrageous was the $32 it cost per day to park your car at the hotel
When we booked, we were guaranteed a 2 queen bed room. We had large groups for people with disabilities. When we called a week before they told us that they had switched our reservation to a king bed. We asked if we could get back into a double queen. They told us no, but we could get a cot and noted it on our reservation. Called the day of to make sure we had a cot and they said that they didnt have anymore and didnt see the note in our reservations.
We had a block of rooms under one reservation and charged to one card for our organization. We checked in and they asked us for our personal card at check in "for incidentals" but charged the card anyways for our whole stay. When I called about the charge they said that there was no card on file, even though I had paper copies of each room saying that the deposit was made with the group credit card.
During check out, there was only one person working the desk, even though it was the Indy Mini Marathon. Took over 30 minutes to check out.
Very disappointed.
Nice rooms comfortable beds and decent continental breakfast
We had a very nice stay and the location was great. Would definitely go back.
Very nice location, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. There's also, a TGIFriday attach to the hotel.
I went to Indianapolis for the weekend to work and this place was perfect, clean, great service and amazing location.
Awful! We were charged $29 for parking and NEVER told of it until it was on our bill. Then we pull out the sleeper sofa and it was like sleeping on rocks! You could feel the springs and bars-- worst sleeper sofa of my lifetime. It was also slanted. We called and they brought us extra comforters for more padding but you could still feel the bars. The hotel also didn't tell us of the $14 service charge for TGI Fridays room service until after we were charged!! If we would have known that, we would have walked downstairs to get it ourselves! Overall bad experience.
Only one night so far. Ice machine on my floor is broken. Beds are full sized and smaller than expected. Otherwise, no complaints.
Room was clean. But seriously...Full beds? Should be two queens. The fold out bed was TERRIBLE! The mattress was very cheap and old. The full beds were way too hard (and narrow) not to be confused with firm. Not any padding on top the coils. The covers seemed made for twin beds, barely hung over the edge. The towels were worn and cheap. The comforter had horrible stains, (I don't even want to know from what). I do try and conserve by reusing towels but the bathroom does not have any racks or hooks to hang them up. For $200 a night I expected more. Breakfast was good and dining area was clean. Staff was nice. Spouse was there for a conference so didnt have choice on hotel but glad room came with free breakfast since we have 3 teenagers.
Great location downtown. It was only a 5 minute walk to my conference. Free breakfast was amazing. The staff was very helpful, friendly and nice.
Easy, friendly check in. Got free upgrade upon arrival. Good, hot breakfast. Would book here again.
This was a great place to stay. The location is great and you can walk down to anything downtown. It was $32 a day to park my car WITHOUT VALET which is a total scam but w.e the staff was very nice and very accommodating. I doubt I'll be back to Indianapolis ever but I appreciate everything the staff did to make our stay enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in town!
Everything was great. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. It was in a perfect location downtown. Would stay here again.
The location is in the middle of downtown Indianapolis. Great location. Continental breakfast is included. It is a small walk to the convention center, and even with Gen Con going on the staff was very friendly.
I was at the hotel for a business trip.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, on my reservation I had requested a refrigerator and I got a room without. So, I called down to the front desk and they switched rooms.
When I got to the new room I looked in the mini-refrigerator at there was an empty fruit container in it.
The room was just a very basic one and sadly didn't have a bathtub.
After leaving I got the receipt and noticed it looked different but had to get to my work training. So, when I got home I looked at my account and it had been charged. The next day it looked like it was fixed. Work told me today 8/6 that they contacted them and the charges should be fixed. So, when I looked at my account it had be charged even more than last time and ended up making my account go in the negative. Not very happy with this at all.
I recommended that work not to use the hotel again and told all of my coworkers to not use the hotel. Super irritated with the service.
Wonderful location. Breakfast was great. Rooms and lobby updated and very clean. The clerk at the desk was friendly and helpful I had a wonderful first impression of the hotel. Unfortunately, that did not last. We stayed 3 nights and housekeeping did not come in our room once. I had to request toilet paper. Also, when I booked I saw nothing online about a charge for parking, but there is a $35 parking fee. I usually would t complain about mattresses either, but all 3 mornings I woke up sore. That may just be me, but thought I would mention it.
We had the BEST STAFF this weekend. From the front desk, breakfast ladies, & housekeepers. They ALL deserve a RAISE. THANKS SOOOOO MUCH FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY. WE LOVED IT & YOU ALL.
Good costumer service! Hotel was great, even the train outside was not noticeable. We had a great night, good experience!
Fair hotel in downtown Indianapolis. Rooms are reasonably spacious and fairly comfortable. There's no hotel restaurant or bar onsite, but there is a TGI Fridays connected to the hotel. Breakfast is average - buffet only, served on disposable crockery with disposable silverware. Nothing available to order, and the breakfast room is fairly small so you may not get your own table in busy periods. Fine for an overnight or few days' stay. Other hotels in the area are better if you can get them.
We liked our stay.. the room was very small.. but everything was clean and staff was nice. It was nice being right down town Indy.
Great place to stay for a conference at the convention center. All walking done indoors by connecting walkways.
Loved this place. Room was clean and inviting. Customer service was excellent. My only issue was the $34 a day parking.
Big City Hotel try to take Country Boy to Cleaners ! There were over $1100 in pending charges on my credit card for what I was expecting to be a $450 stay. Its a good thing I was paying attention. The staff was nice but I wonder about the competence level. And next to their logo, in big letters, it should say, WE CHARGE A LOT OF MONEY TO PARK HERE !
Just visited friends in the lobby, but the lobby was convenient
Clean, comfortable and nice views. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Central location convenient for walking just about anywhere downtown
The TV is really big and I love it!!! The shower head is really nice!!!!
The experience was horrible, worst experience we've had at a hotel, the front desk representative was rude and dismissed our concerns about having a King bed, which is what we researved online and paid for. The representative stated we just guarantee you have a room not the bed that you pick online. If that's the case don't have size selection online just a flat rate for a room. They screwed up in upgrading or double booking there rooms and we had to have a crappy night because of it. I would not recommend this hotel to any one. It's the 21st century technology exist to help you manage your room inventory without lying any misleading your customers. #neverstayattheFairfieldMarriott That is all!
Booked through Expedia so they are partly to blame. I booked a king bed through Expedia and when I showed up I was given a room with two full size beds. So I went back down and was given some fine-print nonsense about how it s not guaranteed even though I paid more on Expedia for the king room. So I paid an extra fee to get the king room. Room was fine and the shower was nice, but I didn t write any letters home about how great it was. Tv reception was spotty during our stay as well. The parking gates were faulty across multiple days and someone had to run out to override the system. I may stay again, but I m going to look elsewhere first. I wasn t pleased with the handling of the room.
Great people. Wonderful place to stay and they have a pool!
We try to stay here every year for GenCon. We love this hotel. The lobby is great for playing board games at night. The free breakfast is great too!
You can walk to everything. The staff are top shelf. A great place to stay.
We stayed at your hotel, Saturday Jan 31st. I cannot stress the cleanness of our room, spotless with a clean fresh smell. I read previous reviews, so I was prepared for no microwave or mini frig. I was disappointed that the, flat screen television with seating area , was actually a nice television and one desk chair. After a busy day a place to sit and relax before going out for dinner, is a must. Perching on the edge of the bed & one desk chair does not make a seating area. I feel that your PR department, misrepresented your hotel on that count. Room very small, but the cleanness made up for the tight feeling. Breakfast was fresh, hot and tasty, something for everyone. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
Good quiet environment. Clean rooms & friendly staff.
Tgi Fridays has great food... the hotel was very nice.
Great hotel overall. Pricing of items in store and room is really high though.
Great service, great amenities, great Continental breakfast, green conscious, close to bars/restaurants downtown, only issue was getting the shower water temperature to stay at a constant comfortable level. Overall great experience.
Overall perfect for what we're doing since we're so busy in Indy we need a place to sleep a place to shower. there's no refrigerator microwave in the room and there's also no safe in the room which really makes it bad when you have to leave for long periods of time. The safety deposit boxes not big enough for anything. The staff is awesome, the breakfast was very very convenient but cold. For the price it was definitely worth it. The view of a wall sucked and we couldn't even see clouds or sky
Little tiny rooms, not too bad of a view. Not too many amenities. Just a fairly average experience, though a little pricey for it.
It is very close to the stadium and zoo, so it might be reasonable reasonable considering that.
