Very big hotel with too few sunbeds. Beach is nice and clean. Hotel is modern and clean.
I'm not the big resort type and therefore would not book a hotel like this again.

Love the location, the activites, and the service. So fun!

Beautiful resort. Gorgeous beach. Great pools and outdoor lounging areas. Courteous, professional, friendly staff. Located right next to whalers village for so more dining and shopping options

This place was paradise. The on going renovations didn t bother me - as we were usually out on the beach anyways. The newly renovated rooms are to die for! So classy and clean. I truly felt comfortable here. All staff that I interacted with were warm and friendly and they really made the experience that much better. Black rock is just a few mins walk away, whalers village just next door. Couldn t ask for anything more! Thank you Westin!

It's a beautiful resort. We went for the luau and it was a lot of fun. The food was fantastic. Wish my stomach was bigger so I could eat more!

If I could give it a zero I wound. Please stay away, not worth the price , the rooms are very small, and I mean small, carpet dirty, and I could go on and on ..I am to disappointed right now to go on. I will come back at a later time with details. For now I will try to do my best to enjoy my stay here..

We stayed in the ocean tower with a great view of the water and Whalers Village. Food was great, pools we're clean and relaxing, and we had a lovely time here.

I stayed at my honeymoon. It was my first stay at the honeymoon, so I remember a lot. From the entrance, the flamingo (?) Welcomed me, but I was against an exotic and wonderful appearance. I have a lot of memories from the small things, the staffs were kind, and at the dawn I wrapped the hotel bed (?) On my body and went out and asked the staff to go to the Hallaa cola. Luckily, everyone is going to do that ... It was a resort, and the swimming pool was so good. Breakfast was good, and I was generally satisfied with the service. Oh I want to go again .

fabulous grounds. good food. small rooms where you have to hang your clothes outside of the armoire which takes up a large chunk of the tiny space.

Amazing paradise! Beautifully blended between interior and exterior, so much to see and explore. The rooms are small but clean, and why stay in your room when there's so much to do?!

There really good and friendly especially the elegent performance if everyone

The accomendations and service were immpeccable. Our room had a lovely view of the mountains. The adult pool was relaxing to sun at. John our bar waiter was attentive, friendly and made great drink reccomendations. Debbie assisted us with Luau and snorkling reservations as well giving advice for driving times to miss the traffic. The front desk staff provided additional toiletry items promptly.

Please remind me to never stay at a big corporate hotel again. Honestly, Americans don't understand what good service is all about. We paid way too much for this place. The room was barely nicer than a Holiday Inn Express room which I often stay for business. You could hear a lot of hallway noise all times of day. They put us in a room with two double beds at first. What a joke. They mentioned their corporate disclaimers. What couple wants to go on a romantic Maui vacation and stay in separate beds or squeeze into a double bed. I called them twice beforehand to make sure we would have a king bed. They blamed the poor training of their call center staff and grilled me about who I called and when and blamed me it wasn't noted on the reservation. It took them most of the next day to get us into the correct room. We paid a resort fee which included free parking, except our car was repeatedly blocked by other cars and it took the staff 20 minutes to move the cars a few times, the parking area is too small for the demand. Please build a parking garage if you choose to offer free parking. We recieved a $82 charge for a bar pool tab two days after checking out that wasn't ours. It took me three calls to get the charge removed. I could keep going on and on... for a simple three days stay... its not worth my time. The pool area was very nice, but the water slide has a hard curve that bruised both me and my spouse. I'm not a complainer, I give most reviews a five star... but the bottemline is, DONT STAY AT THE WESTIN, they are not a hotel that provides or understand 4 star service. Unless you don't understand what true customer service is all about, or you like staying at a hotel with a corporate atmosphere.

Absolutely WONDERFUL.. They even gave me a bottle of champagne for my birthday.

I remember 22 years ago and it is a very old hotel but I remember it very well, the pool was so high that I could never enter the sea in front of the hotel, I had a late breakfast at a poolside restaurant Michael Jordan who was still active at that time at a seat by Tara was eating at the family at first I did not notice at all, but foreign children were making a fuss, so when you look at that Michael Jordan I was surprised because I was on the side.

Currently under renovation.. but the staff is amazing

Very relaxing atmosphere, attentive customer service, Beach Tower rooms are accentuated with modern ambience, lovely patios with ocean views, on going construction was not a hindrance to our enjoyment of the many amenities. We'll be back!

Fun time. Got massages and hung out on the beach. Spa area was nice.

they deduct (aka. steal) $25 from you if you misplace a small piece of cardboard that they call a 'towel card'. It's a small piece of paper and the SOLE PURPOSE of this piece of paper is that they hope you lose it or misplace it so that they can charge you $25. Absolutely despicable and heavily anti-consumer practices going on at this resort

We look all over the island and finally found cocktails served in a pineapple! Granted they were an extra $10 that no one mentioned but we'll worth it for 1.

Beautiful hotel with great access to beach. Nice pool as well.

Amazing resort, pricey food and nickel and dime style fees. The beauty of the resort overshadows any negatives.

The room cleaning service is very intimate, the hotel view is very good, but the space is much smaller than the Marriott next to the Grand Hyatt. At the dusk, many sparrows are calling, quite noisy. In the morning, three parrots will be put out for viewing.

Pool is second to none. Also have a swan named Newman. He is cool.

It was under construction when I was there. (I was not notified when booked) So it was a bit noisy and I could smell the dust. I have seen better resorts nearby. Plenty of restaurants around the resort and their shuttle service is good. They provided us with complementary champaign because it was anniversary trip.

Wonderful place, however terrible communication skills. Told one thing but never were told the truth. I had to investigate myself.

Really ... The front desk is seriously messed up ... One of our women is even ridiculing us to complain ;; The staff at the swimming pool were friendly but the swimming pool was cold so we could not swim.

Had an absolutely AMAZING stay for almost 2 weeks there for our honeymoon in June. To start, the hotel was awesome and upgraded us to an ocean facing room for no additional charges and without even asking, gave us complimentary champagne on our first night and just generally were extremely helpful with everything we could have possibly wanted.

The wonderful woman who took care of our room was Mila, I believe. She was always so sweet and cheerful and nice every day and did a great job. Our rooms were wonderful, beds were quite comfortable considering the many hotels I've stayed in. The resort was beautiful and perfect and right next to the beach. The pool was terrific and Black Rock Cove was just the perfect side of the island. Not too crowded, not dirty, everyone was awesome.

We also got a couples massage at the Spa which was also terrific. Extremely relaxing!

I would love to come back here some day and wouldn't change a thing about where we stayed. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon a wonderful memory!

My son & new daughter in law stayed here while we stayed down the beach a little ways. They got married while staying here & the hotel did a great job of helping them plan a beautiful wedding overlooking the ocean. The wedding planner did a great job of giving them exactly what they asked for & I highly recommend them to anyone wanting a location wedding for a small party. The photographer did a wonderful job & the wedding album is gorgeous. The luau after the ceremony was entertaining & the food was local & quite good. The pool area was huge & the outdoor bar was close by. What a beautiful job they did for such short notice

I stayed here on points, so I might be a little more forgiving. Overall, there property is nice and the rooms updated (at least in the ocean tower). Lobby is beautiful and the shuttle to close doors in the neighborhood is a nice perk. Other than that, I was surprised to have to wait over an hour for my room when checking in after 3:30. This lead to us being very rushed for dinner that evening. Also don't like their towel card system. First, it feels cheap and like they don't value their customers. Second, when turning on your towels for the day, you're often subjected to dinner sort of sales pitch for sunglasses or an after sun lotion. Seriously? The resort definitely felt crowded with people putting towels on chairs by the pool early in the morning. Beach chairs and umbrellas were available to rent, but weren't very nice. Of the three places we stayed in Hawaii, this was my least favorite, but again, as I stayed for free, I'd probably do it again, but make it earlier in my trip so I could stay at a nicer place later.

Property is beautiful and it's much more relaxed than Honolulu. Rooms and halls feel dated. Very friendly staff. Love the water slide and Adult only pool. Mountain view from the room was beautiful, so if you can't get ocean view you'll still have beautiful view. I gave 3 stars only because the room wasn't anything special..kind of disappointed. Especially being my Honeymoon.

A really good resort. Could have better and cheaper food options, but pool and beach are great.

Most everything has been great. Had a few bad servers at the Relish Burger & Bistro. Also the dinner menu is not good at all.

Great spot right on the beach. Plenty of dining options within walking distance. Love their pool areas with an adult pool. Rooms got a needed facelift with the most recent remodel.

Do not say here! Hotel never disclosed it was being renovated. Half the pools were closed including the adult section making the pool deck uncomfortably crowded. Room was disgusting and outdated with dirty bedding and bathroom. You could hear the construction from the room and was unable to enjoy the balcony because of it. Staff was also less than helpful - do yourself a favor and stay someplace else!

Great surrounding area. Went there to use the beach and have dinner. Did not actually stay in the hotel, but it looked amazing. The surrounding area is definitely worth the visit.

We have stayed here twice. Overall, this is a great hotel and we would absolutely stay here again. Location is perfect. It is central to several restaurants, beach access, and shopping centers. It has great beach access and a huge pool for the non beach goers. There is an adult pool as well with a small bar for a nice spot away from kids. My only complaint is customer service. Staff often seems annoyed when approached.

Very all inclusive resort just beyond Lahaina with more to do than vacation allows. Several pools including adult and children with many seating areas...poolside drink and food orders. Easy beach access and of course accommodations you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. Lots of shopping and golf very close with many excellant restaurant/ food choices.

The oceanfront Tower is very good newly remodeled with good ocean views. Have not tried the restaurant. pretty good food from Relish restaurant at poolside. Only 1small hot tub amongst all the pools. Really substandard for a medium to talk to your hotel

The West in is a staple of the community here on Lahaina side it's a wonderful place to bring the kids and a great time for adults right on the beautiful kaanapali beach

Gemini Sailing charters, STUNNING! Great boat, great food, great sailing, great snorkeling, amazing crew: very professional but smiling, kind and friendly at the same time! Wonderful sailing trip! Meeting point right in front of Westing Maui Resort.

Place was great to stay nice rooms and nice rooms but if You have kids it's boy really for them

Best Luau on Maui. The open bar had real drinks (not watered down), the food was great, and the show was among the best I've seen.

great place to bring the family..but you will have to save up some cash cause it is a little pricy out here but so much to do, like parasailing,or snorkeling, or just shopping or having a nice dinner by the ocean..you can't go wrong.

Lovely property with an amazing pool deck and beach. A little pricey with all the resort fees, but overall a great property. We've been twice and both times have had really nice rooms. Would recommend if you're okay with the price.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, the pool is well maintained, and the staff were friendly and efficient. I give them a solid 4 star. The price is outrageous! Most of the resorts are way overpriced so nothing new there. The beds were very uncomfortable, but if you like a really hard bed, maybe they'll work for you. I though the chair that pulled out to a bed was more comfortable. The food wasn't very good either, and the buffet for 29.00 was awful. the eggs benedict and biscuits and gravy were congealed so I waited for a fresh batch, but they came out congealed also.
And when did 14.00 cocktails become acceptable?

We went for the Luau and it was a fantastic and entertaining show. The food was good too..

The food at the burger bistro was delicious. I had a teriyaki burger and BBQ chicken pizza. The pool system is extensive with 5+ pools, but the water is a little cold. The ocean view and quick access to the ocean were nice. It was nice to lay out on the lounge chairs near the pools that overlooked the ocean. The workout and yoga rooms seemed high quality. The room itself was a standard high end hotel room. And there were flamingos and swans in the water area near the pools, which was unique. The hotel is family friendly so you see kids with their parents, which was nice. It was a great experience.

Did not stay the night, but attended a corporate event and the facilities are very nice.

The resort was really nice but there were a lot of hidden fees. Charged a daily resort fee (on top of what you already pay), also a vallet daily fee which you pretty much have to pay because there is no parking close!

There's nothing special about this place, except cool flamingos. It's expansive and they don't provide free breakfast

Giving this place only 2 stars because of the value for the money. Just not at all worth paying over $500 a night for when all beaches are public and you can find cheaper accommodations. Despite this, I will say that our our room was very nice. We stayed in the beach tower (initially booked a Mountain View room but luckily got upgraded or it would have been even less worth the money!) and the room was newly renovated and had really awesome decor. However, it seemed like they hadn t quite checked their work or maybe finished too quickly because the room had some quirks. The shower door didn t close all the way and the bathroom door lock got stuck for example. Additionally, there was audible construction happening above ya which we had been promised wasn t going to happen until March.
A few pros: the close proximity to whalers village with shops and good restaurants, the beach is AMAZING! And, the Marriott app with online check in was nice and easy.
