We stayed at the Viceroy for our anniversary and also brought along our 1.5 year old and mother-in-law for babysitting. We were blown away by the service and the quality of the hotel/room. The decor is beautiful and our room was decorated for our wedding anniversary upon our arrival which was very unexpected and meant the world to us. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful and the concierge service helped us book electric bikes to ride from Aspen to the Maroon Bells. A once-in-a-lifetime experience. The food and ambiance at Toro was 5 star and such a treat during COVID. We felt very safe during our entire stay and were sad to leave. We can't wait to come back with extended family for a ski vacation. Can't recommend enough! Keith at Valet is a true asset to the Viceroy team and helped us find dinner reservations on a Friday night at the last minute. The Italian restaurant he recommended was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you, Keith!

Overpriced food that was mediocre, I would expected a classier hotel like the Viceroy to have complementary breakfast being that a basic motel 6 has a complementary breakfest, quite pathetic in my opinion. Rooms and service were great though.

The bartender at the bar was awful. Terrible customer service, unfriendly and extremely unpleasant. Talking on her cell phone and responding to text messages in front of the guest at the bar-after being called out on this by the other bartender- she still did not stop. She is a poor representation of this hotel. Sadly we will not return despite living in the area nor will I recommend it to our friends... there are too many other good restaurants with better customer service. Il Poggio is a much better option for dining in Snowmass Village.

During my stay, I injured my shin while walking outside by the pool area. The lighting was so poor and dim, that the furniture could not even be seen. The injury itself resulted in significant bleeding and large contusions/bruising that limited my activity for the next few weeks (including hiking during this trip and a marathon I had been training for).

When speaking with the front desk about the injury (Douglas, Robert, and team), they showed relatively little concern and mentioned that the lighting met the lumen requirements for the area. They did nothing to even suggest moving the patio furniture (it s winter) or adding small tealights to contrast the dark brown furniture (would make a big improvement). In addition, they said I would be contacted in 3 days to discuss the injury and preventative actions, but I never received a call. It s alarming the relative lack of concern considering the injuries and the fact that I fell face first towards the concrete. It is only a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured out there.

I booked an umpcoming stay through Viceroy Snowmass for December 18th. I am concerned with traveling now because of the COVID-19 rapidly increasing rates. I asked to be accommodated (refunded) for the half of the stay I paid for in advance and was told no. Half the the 3-day stay is $1800 and I was told I could not be refunded regardless of the pandemic. I will never stay or book with another Viceroy property. The costumer service is similar to a 1 star hotel. Beware before booking.

Very well appointed hotel with space and luxuries. Attentive to their clients. We enjoyed three nights and slept well in a spacious two-room hotel suite with a full kitchenette, where the Nespresso coffee in the room beats the American sock juice they serve in the lobby.

Horrible customer service. Tried to cancel a reservation with 13 days notice, and they would not. They appreciate every cent they can make off of you and not doing right by guests or the community. Very upset.

This hotel was amazing! They helped us when another hotel was overbooked and messed up our reservation. The property, staff, rooms, simply everything was spot-on! If I could give them higher marks I would. Well done!

This is a real 5 star hotel starting with the amenities, location, beautiful ski slopes and especially, the personnel and the service you ll feel treated as a king here, and very welcoming the rooms are very small, but i can see why, there is not too much space there, and it is very expensive, but, the atmosphere, the luxe, the coziness - is perfect

5 out of 10

5 out of 10
Arrived for the 4 pm suggested check in.
Waited in lobby until 6.30, which when considering the check out time is 11am one would have thought 5 hours is plenty to prepare for the next guest. Staff were good enough to offer a whole $100 credit!
Room was ok, not cleaned properly, previous guests dirty underwhere and socks left under bathroom sink, dirty q tips on floor, pubic hair in shower, tv not working but fixed later that night.

Could not have an afternoon rest as dogs barking in rooms down the hallway where the dog owners had just left the dogs in the room to go skiing. Barking all f.ing day.

We booked 6 months in advance, hotel never bothered to advise they had booked a college graduate pool party, closing the pool and hot tub area off so hotel guests could not use, followed by another 2 nights of music, and outdoor party by same group. Nothing against them, but the hotel should warn paying guests prior to allow oportunity to make other plans. Typical greedy viceroy looking for the quick buck with a short term view.

Walls are also so thin that I had to listen to the neighbours conversation and bad sex every night.

Ski in ski out was excellent.
Most considerate staff were the ski staff (apart from the manager with glasses that was rude and arrogant) and the parking valet guys were also excellent.
The check in check out staff did not even bother asking how our stay was.

Great location. Have a ski run right behind the hotel. The 'one bed residence' i stayed in was massive; >900sqft with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, large living room , bedroom and a huge bathroom. Very comfortable and helpful, smiling staff.

We had a room block and a Welcome Party at The Viceroy for our July wedding and we are so glad we did! Meghan was a pleasure to work with and was so great helping us figure out the menu for the party. The staff at The Viceroy were amazing - from The Toro restaurant and bar, the front desk, bellhops, valet... I could go on! They are all wonderful!

Amazing. They hosted my wedding and it couldn't have gone any better. The ski valet service is second to none and everyone is always willing to help. Been to many places skiing and the service here beats them all. Will definitely be coming back.

Great place to stay and great location to ski. Prepare to have extra charges tacked on though. Just because you booked and paid for everything in advance doesn't mean they wont squeeze an extra couple hundred from your wallet

Had a great stay and will be back. First time in Aspen and the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Walk to the Snowmass mall area or stay at the beautiful restaurant bar, win win. Rooms comfortable and turn down service a surprising delight. Was here for business, next time I will ski, didn't realize I could walk from room to the slopes.

Stayed here in Jan 2019 for a week. Nice rooms. Room service was 'ok' several days the coffee was not replenished and the nice guy at the front desk gave us some of his personal coffee. (Thanks!)
Kitchen was sparingly equipped, don't try to cook more than soup or pasta - in my unit i ran out of pots and cooking utensils asap!

Free airport transport but NOT free to go into town. So... plan that accordingly if you don't have a car. The Free bus works great ;)

Not enjoying our stay. Can't enjoy basic things like a hot tub when you pay a fortune a night is not fun. Why can't a wedding shutting down half of the amenities be disclosed on the website or at least discount the booking...

If you want to really relax in the Aspen Snowmass area look elsewhere. You don't matter here.

The Viceroy is a beautiful hotel with amazing rooms and suites. The service here is also stellar. We stayed in a one bedroom den, which was perfect for us (two adults, there kids). It had a full kitchen with plates and utensils, etc. There is a Four Mountain Sports shop in the hotel, which makes ski/snowboard rental and storage super easy. The valet staff are really great. They took me across the street to visit the grocery store and picked me up afterward (this is free, but I did tip $2-3 each time they helped me get somewhere; except the shuttle to Snowmass village up the hill). The have Nespresso machines in the rooms too; loved that.

We stayed here for a couple nights during the summer and loved it. The 1 bedroom with den had two separate living areas with a pull-out sofa in each, 3 flat panel big screens and two bathrooms. The two bathrooms were great for me, my husband, and the two children to get ready for the events at the same time. The restaurant manager was great and all meals were delicious from breakfast through dinner. Even the wedding cake was baked by their award winning baker/chef. Everything was great about our stay.

Terrible service

Terrible service
Mediocre food

Why did we have lunch here? Thanks for putting a downer on a good day Viceroy Snowmass.

Our waiter was somehow incapable of using a tray to bring 3 meals at the same time leaving my soup upstairs returning 10 minutes later with a cold soup. I sent that one back asking for a hot soup. He returned 10 minutes later again with a Luke warm soup which I sent back asking for a hot soup. The third time he returned with a hot soup not asking if we needed anything else any of the visits he made to our table. Keep in mind the restaurant is dead quiet this server is not busy nor is the kitchen. The bowl of soup is much more like a cup. I asked for Tabasco which he didn t know if they had until I was finished with the soup. My child s hot dog arrived with no condiments which also did not show up for 10 minutes. I went to the bar and found my own. At no time did this server refill water or check in to see if we were okay. I had to chase him across the pool area for everything. Shrimp tacos were boring, two shrimp and a spoonful of pico. The most scant taco I ve ever seen.

Terrible service
Mediocre food

Come on viceroy is this the best you can do?

Menu looked good, but no we won t be back.

I rented the private dining rooms for my wedding dinner last week and my expectations were exceeded on every level. The communication with the events manager and the service provided by the Toro restaurant team were amazing. The setting was beautiful. The staff there made it easy to set everything up, and as such we were truly able to enjoy the evening. On top of the great service, the food at Toro was excellent. I would highly recommend the Viceroy/Toro Restaurant for your special event. Also, the suite included with the event package was incredibly nice.

It is a really nice hotel. Keep in mind it has approximately $50 in hidden fees per night ($30 for parking, $20 resort fees). I dislike hidden fees and would rather pay full price up front. The rooms although super nice are a big small but a 4 star hotel. Also, when I arrived I saw a few dirty tables and plates around the pool area, and no one around (something I never see in hotels this expensive)

The WORST experience of our lives and we have travelled all over the world. The manager sent us photos and floor plans of pre paid suite which we agreed to and upon arrival told us those rooms did not even exist. We were given rooms half the size that were outdated, located over garages with 24/7 noise and oil smell. Humidifiers leaked over carpet every day, no one ever repaired. Washer dryers not functional, no repair. Room cleaning non existent. A NIGHTMARE DO NOT STAY HERE. Staff is rude and unhelpful. Additionally they charged fake charges after check out requiring many months of communication with credit card company.

Their COO Bill Walshe well aware of the bait and switch game going on and refused to address.

We just spent 3 glorious days at Viceroy Snowmass. We visit the Aspen area every fall, each time staying in different places. This year's stay at the Viceroy topped the chart! From the property itself, to the room, the service, the staff....everything exceeded our expectations. We had a one-bedroom suite overlooking the mountain. It was up-scale and spacious, even boasting a galley kitchen. We cooked and enjoyed brunch in the suite while watching Sunday's Broncos game! The Viceroy is now our favorite place to stay when visiting Aspen. We will be back next year!

Nice ski-in / out hotel. Large clean rooms with fireplace and kitchen. Very pleasant toilet and shower are separated in the bathroom. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The service in the ski area is also great. If needed, you could have the ski boots on and take off. The skis are provided on the slopes. Supermarket within walking distance of the hotel, as the Basecamp Village and the bus station for the bus to Aspen. Will definitely come back

This hotel is really a standout property. It's right at the edge of the slopes so easy to jump straight on your skis in the morning! I love the apres-ski they offer - with hot teas and delicious treats to greet you as soon as you enter. We came at Christmas time so the hotel lobby was decorated beautifully. The rooms are very beautiful and have a great view of the mountain slopes. Check out the spa too - it's beautiful!

This hotel did everything to accommodate us when we showed up the same day & had no place to stay. It is a beautiful modern space & the staff is very helpful. The restaurant Toro also has outstanding food. The pool side bar & grill has very healthy & delicious options. So glad we got to have this experience.

Service going down hill. Spa was excellent as usual. Food was good except my lamb chop was absolutely terrible. Still a nice resort and not over priced And better than last year when we sat down for late dinner and the waiter told us we have 3 min before the only thing available will be fast food from somewhere else. Rooms and resort beautiful.

The staff set this hotel apart from all others I have stayed at. They went out of there way in so many ways to make our 2nd anniversary special. Great views, good food, $5 Fat Tire drafts, and complimentary rides around town in a range rover. The rooms are clean with a full kitchen and all amenities. The pool is amazing. But really the staff make or break a place, and they have something great going here.
