I travel relatively frequently for work, and Viceroy has taken its place at the top of my list. The hotel and its rooms are immaculate! It's difficult to ask for much more. The personnel are top-notch, going above and beyond any expectations we had, and the place is awash with luxury. I would recommend staying at the Viceroy to anyone heading to Snowmass!

Beware! When trying to book this hotel, on their website, it lists one price. You then try and check out and it changes to way more (not including the taxes and added costs-I'm talking base costs). I think this is rather dirty and shows what kind of management this place has. I've called and emailed reservations and have received no response. I originally thought it was just an error on the website, but apparently they are aware and will ignore any potential guests that have questions. If this is any representation of this place's service, I will never ever stay here. Ridiculous.

Beautiful hotel. No detail is forgotten. The rooms are impeccably clean. The appliances in the rooms are high end with a sub zero refrigerator and freezers and wolf induction range. Level of service from staff is exceptional.

At first I loved the viceroy. Every service was perfect and everything blew my expectations. But then after experiencing the massive heat fluctuations during the night and not being able to properly sleep I needed to rate a 2. If they didn't shut the heat at night it would be a 5/5.

This review is long overdue. By more than 2 years. My apologies to those named below, that you haven t been properly and publicly praised, sooner.

As someone who has grown up in the hospitality industry for the past 25+ years, I can honestly say, the staff and crew at the Viceroy Snowmass is what every single luxury brand, who prides themselves on customer service, should model themselves after.

When you arrive you re immediately met with genuine kindness and incredibly fun personalities at the valet stand, (run by Scott). They truly do set the bar for the rest of your stay... amazing first impression. Scott has helped us out in numerous ways with recommendations on dining out, where to hike, where NOT to hike (ha!) etc.... wouldn t be surprised if he was moved into the front desk as head concierge next time were there!
We love Scott!
Our concierge service has been nothing short of exceptional, as well. Douglas, especially has gone above and beyond to make our stays with them special, remembering our anniversary and having bubbles and charcuterie waiting in our room, on just our second stay.

The service in Toro is also a great reflection of the standards set by the hotel. Friendly and personable bartenders, servers and support staff and the coffee bar always has a smiling face waiting to help you get motivated to start your day.

Please know how appreciative my husband and I are for your consistently kind and impeccable service. We look forward to countless more stays with you, in the years to come. Thank you for taking such great care.

The customer service I received from Viceroy was extraordinarily disappointing. I requested a receipt for the hold I was charged at the time of booking, and have yet to receive it after 4 different attempts to obtain it. As this was a work trip, I needed the receipt so that I could expense it. I tried to email the hotel 3 different times on 3 different days. I eventually called the main reservation line and was on the phone for 40 minutes with no resolution. The most frustrating part was when they said they would email the same address that I had emailed on my previous 3 attempts. It's been over 3 weeks and I have yet to receive a receipt.

I suggest staying at a different hotel as this hotel is incapable of providing a simple receipt, which I consider basic customer service. I can't imagine what type of service is provided during a stay there.

We have stayed in Snowmass a few times but this was our first stay at the Viceroy. This was by far the nicest place we have stayed while in the area. The staff was extremely helpful and wiling to go above and beyond to make sure your stay was perfect. I highly recommend you stay here while in Snowmass!

Worst hotel customer service I have ever experienced. I tried to simply adjust a check out date and no one at the front desk is able to assist me.They sent me to reservations, but no one would answer. I had to leave a voicemail and no one has returned my call. It should not be that difficult to adjust a check out date.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO PETS! My family was booked for a 10-night vacation there last March. We were forced to leave almost immediately after we arrived because they were unable to provide us a pet free room. My son and I are allergic to dog and cat dander, and he had an immediate and severe allergic reaction after we checked into our room. We noticed animal hairs on the bed and sofa, indicating that a pet had recently stayed there and that the room had not been deep cleaned afterwards. When we requested a pet free room, the manager told us that none of their rooms were pet free and they would be unable to accommodate our family s medical needs. We were forced to find other last-minute accommodations at a significantly higher rate. The Viceroy General Manager, Robert Purdy, has been unapologetic about our experience and has been unresponsive to my requests for a refund of our security deposit, equivalent to a 5-night stay. Hotel maintains they are pet friendly and allergy sufferers should disclose this information prior to arrival. My goal in sharing our experience with you is to make other pet allergy sufferers aware of the significant public health concern at Viceroy Snowmass and of their unfair business practices, which have caused my family undue hardship

I feel that I was discriminated against because my race. I was here for a business meeting and checked in behind my coworker. My coworker was given a room as well as the other couple before me. When I went to check, they had no rooms ready. I was told 1st my coworker got a different room than me which made no sense because we were part of the same company. Next I was told that I checked before 4pm, yet I saw several people receive rooms that checked in before 4pm. They are not even at capacity, very disappointed in their service and poor excuses. Would not come here again

Words can not fully describe how beautiful the surrounding area is for enjoying the fall colors and some great biking. Stopped by Viceroy to start my honeymoon trip and can t thank the property staff enough for such a great welcome and stay. Will definitely be back.

Ok! I don't typically go to four star hotels (last time was in 2009 in the Philippines).
But this hotel was the bomb! When you first enter, the dark, sophisticated atmosphere draws you in. The staff are quite helpful and each guest is presented with a free metal water bottle.
The rooms: really nice; but not pet-free. Not good for folks with allergies.
Everything is up-to-date, including the work-out rooms.
The 8K restaurant is really good, but expensive.

The VIEWS are worth the price!

Great place to stay when skiing at Aspen with friends or family. The ski in/out convenience can t be beat (watch for when the lift closes though- you don t want to be stranded at the base of the mountain) and the spacious rooms are equipped with Miele appliances and nespresso machines. Upscale luxury and service in keeping with Aspen.

Stopped in for lunch and a drink down by the pool--Nest is definitely different but still fantastic! While the inside has been converted into a gorgeous fitness center, the pool is looking fresh and better than ever!

This is the 2nd time I have been to the Viceroy, and it's been amazing both times. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are immaculate and the pool is heated and incredibly nice. The staff here are incredible and go the extra mile to make the stay awesome. They sent up complementary desert and wine for my wife's birthday, which she loved. They were also very knowledgeable about the area and suggested great meals. We will definitely be going back. I highly recommend it.

This place is great, we didn't plan on staying here our goal was to go all the way to Grand Junction but due to the fires we had to divert to independence pass, which end up being very rewarding. the night caught us in the summit, no time to waste...I booked on line 2 queens and on king room, at reception they upgraded us to two suits with separate rooms, no extra charge...best labor day adventure so far. Thanks Viceroy at Snowmass

At this hotel I had to wait an extended time for my room to be ready, was forced to change rooms mid-stay without being advised of it until the day. Had issues with poor room cleaning and was overcharged by more than $500 at checkout - mostly due to one night where I was charged both for staying in my room and also for no-showing. The overall experience was genuinely terrible, the worst hotel experience I can recall. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere, you re likely to get better service at a lower cost.

This hotel is amazing! They have ski in and ski out, very delicious food restaurant inside. All the time when u need a ride to Aspen the new Cadilac Escalade is waiting for u in the front of the hotel! The rooms inside are small but very clean and very fancy! Cafe machine inside and fireplace! So i love this Hotel.

Absolutely Amazing... If I could give them 10 STARS I would. Everything was PERFECT, from the Staff, The Room, Food (TORO Restaurant), Drinks, etc. Will Definitely visit again soon. Location was great, about 16 minute drive from the hotel to Aspen. Amazing shopping and Restaurants in Aspen as-well. If you want a good steak Dinner make sure you visit The Monarch......

World-class experience from valet to check-out! From the minute we were greeted upon arrival, we always felt coddled and authentically cared for. This was our very first visit to not just the Viceroy but Snowmass as well, and the visit made quite an impression on us that makes us want to return for sure. Our visit was due to a wedding, and to make the weekend even more fabulous was the complimentary upgrade to a suite upon check-in to top it all off. Our room was so nice, in fact, that we ended up using it to be the groom s final ready and photo room.

Our unit was well appointed with Wolf and Viking appliances, and it was on the side that faces the ski mountain (which I recommend asking for upon making the reservation.) Along with the view, we also highly enjoyed cocktails by the the luxurious outdoor pool area and spas. Another amenity highlight was our brunch at Toro, complete with unforgettable outdoor view of the mountains and the most incredible salmon benedict that I may have ever had!

Finally kudos to the event staff that produced the wedding banquet wow a true cherry on top of the whole experience, truly making all feel welcome with friendly and professional demeanor. Also top notch was the valet team, always available to take you anywhere you need to go.

My only negative aspect was the finicky card keys; didn t always work on first swipe, and it wouldn t work on the outdoor fence entrance upon our return to the hotel.

When we come back to Snowmass, we ll stay at the Viceroy (and maybe consider a property there, as apparently they have units for sale (not timeshare.)

I can highly recommend their restaurant. The chef's creations are fantastic, well-presented and delicious, across the board. The restaurant has a wonderful vibe and their thoughtful design extends even to things like handmade ceramic dishes, making the presentation of their meals superb.

The location is beautifully placed on the slope, surrounded by the gorgeous colors that fall brings. The pool area is fantastic and the service is great! Dylan at the 8K restaurant was awesome and all of his recommendations were delightful. Although the check in time is a bit late we definitely enjoyed our anniversary stay and will return!

Max and his staff made this trip one to remember. We ve stayed in 4 different hotels on our 4 day CO trek. Max made us feel like family. The room was extremely clean. You could tell that all measures were taken to thoroughly disinfect the space in preparations for its next guest. In addition, the amenities offered and attention to detail was an absolute plus. A must- stay if you are anywhere within 60 miles of this hotel.

Terrible Customer Service.
Planning a trip to Aspen/Snowmass in June and wanted to play a round of golf while there. Viceroy made my shortlist of places to stay due to it's high rating. I emailed Viceroy's Concierge with no response. A week later I called in the evening but the employee was unable to help other than giving me the phone number to a local golf course. Called back during the day today and asked to speak with a manager. After realizing employee would not connect me with a manager I decided it was time to look for a different destination.

If i only Could give 0 stars...tonns of charges,and still parking 40 a day if you have your car, 45 each day resort fee, 40$ if you want your room cleaned,everything overpriced,its the real rip off,avoid these scammers,they let you book the hotel and then when you come everything is limited capacity, i mean restaurants,ski or passes to lift. STAY AWAYYY!

Excellent ski in ski out convenient location. Ski valet is awesome! Rooms are good size with kitchen cooktop and all necessary utensils for simple home cook meals. Loves the standing bathtub and the bathroom setup. You must try the heated pool at night especially when it's snowing. Quite an experience! Not to mention the excellent services provided by the entire staff: shuttle and luge drivers, doorman and luggage service, restaurant and front desk, ski valet and housekeeping etc... Keep up the good work!

Enormous room! Pretty town. Rodeo was in town, so lots of extra vehicles, but so much space didn't slow the roads too much. On a minus, no kettle and the stove was locked so used micro to heat water.

The room wasn't ready for two hours, not cool, I repeated my name twenty times, the guy at the front desk had to be stoned out of his mind, then the bellhop asked me if he could get my bags, I said yes multiple times, every time, he just stood there with a stupid look on his face and did nothing..? So, I went in and got the cart myself..I was a little frustrated so I went to the pool to have a drink, After waiting a little over ten mins I had to go get the waitress myself. I ordered a golden margarita, not only was it in a glass the size of a double shot glass, it was made wrong with a lime that was dry and old.. Oh yeah and it cost $20... At this point in time, I needed to go for a run(trails are great) but when I got back to the hotel lobby both lemon water jars were empty, I asked for some water he pointed to the jars, I said they were empty, his answer was "oh, well we don't have a drinking fountain" so I had to tell him "well then you probably fill them up then"........this would be a wonderful hotel if they hired some sort of competent staff.. I live in Deer Valley UT, go to the Montage they have service down to a "T", the Viceroy needs to properly train their staff, I tour for a living and live out of hotels, this was the worst service I've received in many years.. This hotel needs to train their staff, it's pretty bad when a Best Western shows you up on hospitality and you claim to be 4 stars.

The rooms are amazing. The pool / hot tub / bar area is even better. But it's the service and the staff that make it the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Things like a free snowboard valet, in-house rental facilities, free pickups or drop off anywhere in the village, and many more.

2 weeks ago, first time at Viceroy Snowmass with my husband, we love this place, started with excellent service at check in ,with free upgrades because I am a member with American express platinum credit card, we got beautiful bigger room with comfy bed ,big bathroom, kitchenette, everything very clean ,beautiful view outside by the window. Very good food, I got lobster taco very tasty. I love the hot tub & the pool. Concierge guy gave me very good advice where should I visit. We enjoyed the trip ,will come back .

We booked for two weeks - two adults two kids and a dog. They put us in a terrible room under the restaurant - no view ( it was of a brick wall) and you could hear the chairs being moved upstairs. We complained enough that that moved us but their lack of wanting to accommodate was pathetic. We spent upwards of 8k. They know we were staying two weeks they could have put us in a better room and they didn t. Never staying here again. Not worth the money. Go to the limelight or rent a condo at the base village.

My father and I just left your hotel on Friday. I wanted to make sure you knew that we really enjoyed our stay but it was made truly remarkable because of the people that you hired. The Concierge, from Clarion PA was great at helping us identify what to do during our short stay. The manager on duty was so excited to tell us about the Snowmass Rodeo which we thoroughly enjoyed. Last on our way out, the Valet's who we spoke with a few times during our stay asked where we were headed next. After telling them, they insisted that we take a more scenic route to our next destination which made our drive to Breckenridge the most scenic drive I've ever done. Thank you Viceroy Staff!

A good option close to the lifts. The basic room was long and narrow. A small kitchenette was in the room. The one complaint would be the rather large bathroom with too futuristic a shower tub. It seemed out of place.

Beautiful location and ease of access, but not the high standard I was expecting.

What a wonderful place to hangout for a few days. From check-in through check-out, our stay was amazing. Room service was excellent, the pool was heated, staff was exceptional, and the suite was stellar. The chairlift is right beside the hotel so I imagine this is a great location during ski season. Would highly recommend the Viceroy for those looking to get away and enjoy their time in the mountains. we will definitely stay here again and look forward to visiting the sister location in Panama. Shout out to Big Bob Purdy for making our anniversary the best one yet!
