Brilliant evening. Great food, good choice of drinks and pleasant, friendly staff.
Brilliant evening. Great food, good choice of drinks and pleasant, friendly staff.
Beautiful restaurant worth booking the conservatory. The food and service was exquisite, can t wait to return.
We had diner at Clos Maggiore for my girlfriend's birthday, we couldn't get seated in the room full of flowers as you have to book far ahead to have the chance to get a spot there. Cocktails, food and wine were amazing, and the great service on top made the diner really enjoyable and unforgetable. Will definitly go back there. Highly recommended
I recommend asking for a reservation in the conservatory if you're going to visit here. That's definitely the best part
My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate a special occasion and had a superb time. We were looked after by very attentive and friendly staff, the food was delicious and filling, and the beautiful and romantic conservatory continued to dazzle us throughout the meal. The pre-theatre menu was certainly of very good value.
Managed to get a last minute table. Food was excellent, full of flavour and wine list is great. You can't go wrong.
Just the best French restaurant in this area highly recommend for pre theatre dining!
Being repeatedly voted the most romantic restaurant in the world had my expectations quite high. Although the ambiance is definitely a plus, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was overpriced for the quality of the service provided.
Fantastic service and the food was amazing. Great intimate atmosphere and the little touches and surprises really made it a special evening.
Very low quality food and cold and customer service was so unhelpful and not welcoming. Overall not worth to spend a penny there
Everyone at this place is so cheerful.
The happy vibe of this place makes it a really good experience.
Good decoration, but the food tastes just like university canteen... well 100 pounds for a pic with flowers? Not worth it.
We came here for our 5 year anniversary. It was so delicious. The wine list is 80+ pages long and was a little overwhelming, but our waiter could tell us things about each wine we asked about. The dining rooms are small and intimate. The photos make it look much bigger. Everything we had was fantastic.
Amazing experience, stylish but cosy and super romantic setting. The food was simply gorgeous from starter to dessert. Staff could not do more to meet our requirments. Will definitely be returning :-)
Fantastic food and atmosphere that is ruined by a service team that need to get over themselves. Arrogant staff and poor service lets this fantastic spot down.
heir food was surprisingly great! The ambiance of the place was cool and relaxing. I am looking forward to re-visit them.
This was the best meal we had on our London visit. While the restaurant is expensive, I've eaten in lesser establishments that charge more. My wife and I keep talking about the mint and pea soup we had. It may not sound like much, but for your sake try it if you get the chance. Everything about the restaurant is superior. I think it should have at least one Michelin star. I'm told that their service is different from what Michelin expects. I don't care. The next time we are in London, we'll be back.
Beautiful restaurant deserves its title as London s most romantic restaurant. Delicious food and great atmosphere.
Food was lovely, a little disappointed with my morel casserole as I expected more morels. But it did taste delicious!
The wall also had some food stains which was not up to a fine dining restaurant standard but let's say that the little petit four desserts for my birthday made up for it.
Great place for a romantic dinner but a little bit pricey
My girlfriend and I had our anniversary here. Was tricky getting a table but once we'd arrived we understood why. Lovely setting, fantastic food and service and friendly attentive staff
Very nice restaurant. We were upstairs and still have a nice view with the fireplace
The food was very tasty with nice presentation. And we really liked our wine.
We had a good welcome when we arrived and you get the book of wines which is very complete.
Then the waiters were good but we didn't really feel the romantic atmosphere.
Otherwise the place is lovely. If you want to be placed in the conservatory you need to book it several months in advance.
You can be advised to choose the wine and we had some tasting menu if we wanted.
We took some meat "a la carte" and were not disappointed.
Outstanding service. Food was exceptional. We were seated upstairs. Very cosy and intimate ambience.
Fantastic, friendly and knowledge service. From the time I entered to the time I left, receiptonist gave me a very warm welcome, when the time I was reading the menu, they never push you to place order, give you plenty of time but approached you to provide useful knowledge about the menu. This makes customers feel comfortable to place their order on their own pace and assure they order the right food. Their home made breads serviced regularly, brown bread, white bread and the one with Parmesan cheese on top all are great. They kept checking every table regularly, once they found the bread or water is nearly finished, they will refill them for you. They also have good knowledge to their wine. If you have problems with choosing the right wine, they can help you with their professional knowledge of each you were considering, absolutely graceful.
Service is excellent, food is delicious, price is worthed.
Food was amazing, as was the interior but we were unlucky to get what seemed to us the worst table in the place, which can't be helped but was the first upsetting thing as we were celebrating an anniversary. The service started off very attentive, but as the night went on, they seemed more and more focused on the conservatory and we even had to ask for a few things multiple times, which was sad as before we ordered, they didn't give us enough time to choose (so seemed very attentive), but after we had eaten, we were left to our own devices despite clearly wanting to order a dessert and drinks. There was almost no atmosphere, and everything was just a bit 'meh' considering the price we paid, enjoyed the food and sadly that was about it, the experience was good to a degree but lacked a lot considering that it had been voted the most romantic. It was not worth the price, and I really had hoped it would be as it was a very special day for us.
Had a lovely evening. Most romantic restaurant ever. Great service and food was out if this world. Very good for special occasions.
Best start of my new year
This was my second visit to this wonderful restaurant and I'm still not disappointed.
The conservatory was hard to book for 4 but we had a great luck and got the best table just as I imagined.
I wanted to show my favourite restaurant to my sister and her Boyfriend.
Was the best start on the second day of the new year.
The food was excellent, service good and quick.
There's only one think I don't understand: why didn't this restaurant got any star yet when several others were I've been and which deserve less got it already.
This place lives up to its reputation, the dishes prepared with love and passion and you can feel it with each bite and the ambiance of the romantic room. Sweet and pleasant waiters always take great care of their customers.
Impeccable service I will put 6 stars
The World most romantic restaurant!
I read about this online and i was told it s the most romantic restaurant in London. Unfortunately when I made the reservation I wasn t told that the romantic room ich the beautiful decor is separate from the other and the next table available was 6 months in advance. The food was still tasty but very pricey and the other seating is not very special. Unless you have a premium reservation I would not recommend it.
So you book months in advance and ask to be located in the conservatory.. for your 10th wedding anniversary. You're told no problem, noted on your booking. The you get a call to confirm your booking is in the running room ! And if you cancel because they now messed up.your booking your credit card will be charged..severly disappointed!!!!!!! Best you can do is hope someone cancels so you can be seated where you were told you would be...as if that's going to happen when you book so far ahead and t heres a plenty.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.!!!!
Went for birthday and had a great time. Tasting menu is a good deal, portion is huge! Service is very quick and ambience is indeed cozy and romantic.
At Christmas time Clos Maggiore is both romantic and festive. Often haled as one of the most romantic restaurants in the world a table by the fire will not disappoint.
Sat next to couple with 6 month old crying baby - plenty of other free tables but staff not accommodating. Very brightly lit and extremely expensive for bland unexciting food. Don't recommend!! Definitely not romantic!!!!
Stunning venue, superb food and exemplary service for a corporate gathering. Thank you so much for making it such a successful evening!
Amazing location, really nice tasting menu and they were lovely about it being our anniversary dinner
just now
Increadabley rude, unhelpful and unwelcoming staff. Would never consider taking a client to this place!
absolutely wonderful - brilliant food, wine and service with beautiful decor
Very mediocre dining in interesting surroundings with condescending service at an irrelevant price. Hyped.
Good food. Good service. But bad reservation experince and reception for seating arrangements. That destroyed the mood at the begining it self.
Food and attention were great, however, I saw tiny mice running around the first floor of the restaurant.
The food and the price are good enough. The only downside is that we didn't get the seat down the beautiful area but upstairs. The area upstairs was a bit too small and didn't feel you are actually involved. If you want a seat down the flowers then do it months ahead to avoid disappointment.
Great food and beautiful interior. Excellent service.
Venue: The place is a lot smaller than it appears on photos. Take note that the conservatory is booked out early, remember to mention it while making your booking.
Food: Food is average for the price-range. Nothing special. But the cocktails were good.
Service: Surprisingly the service was not as good as expected. Maybe it was just our waiter who were not up to the standard.
Service and food were impeccable, the venue just amazing!
We very much look forward to our next visit.
The menu says "the most romantic restaurant in the world". They might be right. The food is delicious. The interior is magnificent. The restaurant is small but everything is perfectly organised. If you plan to propose in a restaurant, this is the place to be. But better call an ambulance first. Your designated better half's heart might stop due to a romance overload
Great food but given the wanted experience the service could have been more attentive!
Book well in advance for seating in the conservatory, tedious but very worth it. A beautiful experience, the atmosphere is incredible. Great food, and exceptional service. Definitely recommend!
Perfect place for a romantic dinner, book in advance!
We had the most amazing lunch here - the food was outstanding, the staff were extremely attentive and service was first-class, and the atmosphere and ambiance can't be faulted. I wish I could give a higher rating!
Amazing experience. My boyfriend booked a table in the conservatory for my 30th birthday. Everything was perfect. The service was exceptional, their knowledge of food and wine is quite astounding! The food was excellent, cocktails and wine also fabulous and lovely little dessert taster you get at the end. This place is really special. We waited 6 months for a table in the conservatory but it is definitely worth the wait for a special occasion!
Been a few times, the decor is lovely, especially if you are seated in the back of the restaurant however I feel it does need an update. The food is delicious and the wine choice is great. Staff are attentive so it's a worthwhile experience
What can I say, Most romantic restaurant in London for a reason. So authentic and so beautiful. Food is tasty and the t
Special request was delivered in such a beautiful way. Really impressed with the service.
Nice ambience, great service and good food - tasting menu and a la carte more interesting and tasty than the 3 course lunch / theatre menus
This is a well-known French restaurant in the local area and needs to reserve a seat in advance. It is indeed well-deserved, the service is good, and the dishes are delicious. The most distinctive feature here is the starry indoor garden, which is really beautiful.
Excellent food and service.
I highly recommend it.
It is a very beautiful restaurant. You must make a reservation. And if you want to sit in the flower area, its better to book it earlier. The taste of the food is quite strong for me. So I loved it at the beginning but felt tired of it after finishing 1/3 of the meal. We also ordered house wine which was also nice.
Lovely service and amazing food. Wonderful wine selection.
Some waiters are very professional. Some waiters are not very professional. But it's okay. The food is not bad. The last meal is over. I sent a few chocolates. I ve been here. I ve been here twice. I ll be back again next time!
Nice place, good service. But it is expensive and the food is really nothing spectacular. The average brasserie in France is as good, or better, at half the price. Good experience, but too hyped.
Very beautiful restaurant, visited in winter so was specially decorated too. Duck foie gras starter was excellent, the rest of the meal was quite good- maybe 4/5 on average for the food. Made up for by very good service and lovely ambiance.
The service is great. Interior of the restaurant is well decorated but I would say the ground floor is slightly nicer. The taster menu was great
Amazing experience, everything was perfect, food selection was great, decor was beautiful, with nice intimate atmosphere.
Great food and ambience. Personally felt that it was slightly overrated
Amazing romantic dining with good food and amazing ambience
Very romantic atmosphere. Definitely a place to celebrate an anniversary or bend the knee
Excellent service, we went for our anniversary and it was just fantastic.
This place is so romantic and they have fantastic cusine and great service. It is ideal to celebrate anniversaries. I would say it is perfect for couples
What should one say to this treasure at the restaurant except dreamlike, great, impressive and hopelessly romantic? Unimpressive from the outside and one of the top addresses in London in the heart. The restaurant offers excellent French cuisine and an impressive selection of wines. The upscale atmosphere of the restaurant and the service of course has its price, but this is justified. Wonderful is the small back room with the ivy decoration. You should reserve well in advance if you want a place there. The other seats in the restaurant I find not appealing and I would be disappointed if I had to sit there compared to the wonderful room.
The food is delicious! How beautiful the environment! Service OK!
I went here with my wife for lunch on a saturday, no real occaision but had heard good things, and the lunch menu promised value. We were sat upstairs which whilst not as nice as the "courtyard" area downstairs was still very nice.
I had the scallops (at a supplement) for starter which were well cooked with a light but tasty sauce, my wife wasn't that impressed by her ham hock terrine.
For main I had the confit duck leg which was very good, but the standout dish was probably my wife's salmon and pea puree dish. Salmon was expertly cooked and the puree really tasty (and very green) too.
For dessert I had the mille-feuille which was very good, with a rich chocolate sauce and my wife had poached apricots which came with some interesting crispy tuiles.
Service was well-judged and attentive throughout.
Worth. Wonderfull. Tastefull. Special. Everything good you think of.
A fantastic restaurant. The food was of the highest quality and the portions were just the right size. I can heartily recommend the rabbit for starter and the pork belly as a main course. As the whole party seemed to be driving we didn't try the wine so there needs to be a "next time".
