Amazing dining experience here at Clos Maggiore. The staff are very attentive and the overall service is top notch. The prices are representative of the quality of the food, and the food is exceptional. The menu is European but mainly French and Italian inspired. The focaccia they serve you at the beginning is glorious, could have just eaten that and butter. They do give you wine pairing options, but if you'd rather save that and spend more money on the food then that would be an ideal option or just getting wine by the glass or a cocktail (the old fashioned is very good).
Very beautifully appointed restaurant with outstanding food and service
Lobster and spinach Benedict. Very good but the hollandaise was nothing special and there could have been more spinach.
Absolutely stunning location, food and presentation. Pricey overall but perfect for a special occasion! Would definitely recommend
DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!! ANIMAL CRUELTY!!!
( THIS IS ON THEIR MENU)..
Chicken Leg Stuffed with .DUCK FOIE GRAS. & Morels
DUCK FOIE GRAS IS BANNED IN SOME COUNTRIES!!!
THE POOR DUCKS ARE AGGRESSIVELY FORSE FED BY LARGE TUBES STRAIGHT INTO THEIR STOMACHS!!!!
Didn't like the food cold soup was not flavorful drink glass could have posed as a thimble
Surely one of the most romantic restaurants in town (providing you get a table in The Conservatory). We opted for the pre/post theatre menu and could not have been more impressed. Food was great as was the staff.
Will definitely be back.
Absolutely amazing! I went here with my boyfriend for his birthday. I asked for a table in the conservatory when I booked, which we got. The staff are very attentive, and although we aren't particularly high class or anything they make you feel very welcome.
The food is incredible, really well thought out menu which isn't over-fancy. I mentioned it was my boyfriends birthday in my booking, and when our puddings came they had written happy birthday on the plate and gave him a candle. They gave it to me though which was a bit awkward (I suppose they presumed he was treating me!), but honestly it didn't marr the night at all.
Very lovely, I will definitely be going again. One thing I would say is book far in advance, I booked 2 weeks before but the earliest table was at 10pm!
Cannot recommend this place enough. You get waited on hand and foot, the food arrives quick, the temperature and lighting are warm and cosy and all of the food was cooked to perfection!
Quality service, good products and reasonable prices. What more?
First of all, you can take us from everyday to extraordinary in the atmosphere of the store.
If you're from Japan, go to Neverland from everyday.
Is it a typical feeling?
Not a Neverland at all.
It is necessary to make a reservation because you can not enter even if you go normally.
The a la carte menu had a real feeling,
For example, rabbits and lamb.
The course itself
Appetizer crab anchovy sauce
Foie gras before main
At the peak.
If you are up to this point,
I wanted the main fish and meat to be more energetic.
Grand Maison Tokyo
"Shohei. Seriously!"
I guess.
Maybe you're upset,
Cooking comes out for a long time. wait.
At that time the satiety center goes up,
It may be lowering the main taste.
Women will be hungry before the main comes.
8 stars if the atmosphere!
Cooking 3.5 stars!
The overall rating is 4 stars.
However, this time it is also a 5 star with respect for those who took him.
I own a farm shop, I love food, I loved the food at Clos Maggiore. Great food, great serving staff, service was prompt - ideal for a pre-show meal. For dessert I highly recommend the cheeseboard, the selection many a Fromagerie would be proud of.
Such a romantic place. The service was good and the food outstanding.
Amazing food, very nice and welcoming staff and the place itself is just beautiful. Perfect for a romantic date or just a nice dinner.
The food and service was uber-exceptional. The slow cooked raised beef was fabulous If you visit London, Clos Maggiore is definitely a must for lunch or dinner.
Visited for my wife's birthday. Booked far in advance for a table in the conservatory. Note that this area gets booked up for sometimes 10+ months in advance for peak times on Fri & Sat. Food and service of very high standard. Great for a special occasion.
Nice restaurant, went to this restaurant for a special celebration. Quite disappointed cause staff are very rude. Service is so bad, 1 star will be even too much to give.
Even though we didn't get a booking in the main area, the restaurant itself was amazing. The service and staff were excellent right from the start to the finish. Made the whole experience absolutely perfect. The starter (Venison) was alright but the main (lamb) was good and the dessert was outstanding. I would rate food 8/10 but the staff and service a definite 10/10.
Just finished a perfect lunch here. Amazing from start to finish
Awful service we were told they are fully booked all day and a party of 8 walked in behind us with no reservation and got a table instantly. would not be going in again. Half the restaurant was empty.
Last night my friend and I had dinner at Clos Maggiore which is a high end restaurant predominantly known to deliver award winning "French" food to its customers. The service was to a good standard with polite waiters. However the "French" food was an interesting experience. The restaurant served a fine range of traditional French dishes such as "hand picked Scottish crab, cod with chorizo and vermicelli and finally chargrilled cauliflower. personally if I were French, to walk into this restaurant I would feel insulted. I believe that they should
Close Maggiore.
Thank you for making the best proposal helping, beautiful flower garden roof.
Good food and lovely ambience. Service was great and felt personalised. I had a great experience here. Loved that it has a vegan option on the menu.
Expensive but it's worth it. Treat yourself and your close ones to a culinary delight
the crew food and value are outstanding also there location is superb
thanks for a lovely afternoon with m8
Xxx
Romantic but you need to ask for the garden seat otherwise dont go
I made a booking for 2 for wife s birthday. I left after 5 minutes because i felt humiliated. Staff very rude. Not recommended
Quite narrow doorways and Isles however this is quite an old building however once you are past the front waiting room it is quite spacious between tables.
I booked a table for two for a special occasion 6 months before in the atrium (flower room) as I didn't want to miss out, I'd recommend booking way in advance as there are not many seats!
The staff here were amazing, very friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience amazing! I didn't know they did a special plate for birthday's and asked on the spot and they were able to accommodate for us with ease!
The food and wine here was like no other, every dish here is superb! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a magical dining experience!
Thanks so much for having us Clos Maggiore!
My favorite high end restaurant in London. The chefs and staff are wizards in the kitchen. Delicious food everytime I eat there(only on special occasions!). The front end staff are friendly and polite. Highly recommended.
For the price, there are 100 better options I can think on top of my head. The place is beautiful, but food was subpar
We ve always wanted to go in and see what the world s most romantic restaurant was like - so we randomly did!! The staff were so nice and accommodating, and BEST EVER TRUFFLE PASTA.
Very good excellent very good cuisine delicious dishes impeccable service a pleasure to eat
We had been to Clos Maggiore in Christmas and it was SO GREAT that we decided to come back for both our birthdays after seeing Tosca at Royal Opera House. The experience was even better this time. From the beginning to the end FABULOUS. Friendly greeting, great table, fantastic service, knowledgeable sommelier to help with wine and of course lovely food. Everyone is so welcoming and treat you so special. One of the guys even went out of his way to actually go out and bring back a black cab in the rain so we can catch our train in time (LOVE IT), I'd go back there again and again..and so should you :)
Clos Maggiore is the perfect romantic restaurant for a date, with a beautiful conservatory on the ground floor and a log fire upstairs it oozes romance and has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The food is incredible and not too expensive More
Service, food and ambience are all as you would expect from such a luxurious establishment. I cannot fault one part of our visit, it was perfect!
The food was amazing. The cocktails and wine list is impeccable. The atmosphere breathtakingly beautiful.
The restaurant looks absolutely amazing and the food was extraordinary. Perfect for locals and tourists.
Fantastic atmosphere and decent food. Reservation was flexible and we had a great birthday dinner for a friend.
Excellent food, great service and nice atmosphere !!
Absolutely magical! We were treated exceptional well by all the staff and made to feel very special. I didn t manage to get a table in the conservatory but this took nothing away from the experience. The food was first class. Thanks to everyone there for making my evening a truly great night.
Should book in advance to sit in the flower room, definitely worth it!
We sat with my mate on the bench outside at the shop next to the restaurant. Out of nowhere a man with a french accent came out and approached us to ask if we smoke weed because apparently he said the smell was everywhere. None of us is even smoking. There was no smell of weed anywhere. He left us there shocked and confused. And the funny thing was that were just eating biscuits. My mate is black and we were dressed casual. Now let me just assume how racist and idiotic these people from that restaurant are. An absolute awfull place and from what I read in other reviews customer service is bad and people felt ill after a meal there.
An excellent place for special occasions. Ordered vegetarian tasting menu and every dish was superb. The cocktail was nice as well.
If you want the special seating in the conservatory then book 6-7 months in advance. No, I did not know that :(
Recommend it!
A high standard service by staff Federica. Thank you so much.
Food was very nice but was hoping the private dinning would be as nice as the conservatory.
Amazing food and exceptional service - they deal with food allergies and intolerances really well !
This is an amazing restaurant. The food is wonderful but the decor and ambience is out if this world. Very romantic. Very attentive and flexible staff. Mentioned it was my wife's birthday and they turned her dessert into a birthday plate! Highly recommend and great location between Leicester square and Covent garden.
Nice restaurant, a star because the manager says too much shit maybe doesn't distinguish the reality of the imagination
Great restaurant, good food and decor is amazing. The service is attentive and well mannered. We had a menu on Sunday and the portions were decent and taste good as well. Ideal for couples.
Delicious food, excellent service, lovely wine pairings
Fantastic food cooked to perfection (literally every part was perfect!), cordial staff with the appropriate attitude for a beautifully set romantic restaurant, and yet value for money! Get a table if you can A++++ on every metric :-)
A great fine dining experience in a beautiful interior - make sure to get a spot in the conservatory.
Service was great, food came quickly, loved the parmesan scones served as an appetizer. Wasn't a fan of the dessert I ordered and they didn't charge us.
Would definitely go back !
Been here for my wedding anniversary and my wife and I loved it. Very intimate atmosphere and impeccable service. The food was delicious and overall a very pleasant meal. Definitely coming back for another occasion.
Really romantic restaurant, knowledgeable sommelier and good seasonal French food. Hard to get a booking in the conservatory though and not cheap.
I have celebrate in this romantic, quiet & stylish restaurant 7th anniversary with my partner.
The place is just beautiful, with nice background music. The service was excellent and very polite.
We had three course menu with vine.
Food was just in good portions, really tasty, main course had just right temperature ready to eat with lovely texture.
For this type of occasion I couldn't choose better place.
I'll definitely come back.
Best experience we ve ever had. Polite and service minded staff, very trained, very professional. Prices are fair and food is out of this world. What I wouldn t give to come back!
The only thing we didn t like is the not-really-optional 12,5% service charge on our bill. It s a common thing in London, and this is actually a place where tipping makes sense, but from where we come from it s rude to decide your own worth, and it creates a wired atmosfaire to ask them to take it off..
Good food, really good arnosphere and nice weaiting staff.
Heavens above, that was good. Four of us had our pre-theatre dinner here yesterday and loved it. The atmosphere is intimate with a small number of covers only, the service is friendly and efficient, and the food is... fabulous. My dining companions all had _foie gras_ and veal, but for something lighter, I went for the crab, anchovy, and seared cauliflower starter, followed by truffle pappardelle. Both were full of flavour and alance, and quite filling enough! The helpful sommelier selected a perfect Macon to go with it all. Amazing.
And the price? Very good for the quality (and location) I'd say. Would I go again? Oh yes.
Amazing place! Brilliant food, wine, service and venue. Make a plan to go soon! I will be back!
Food is quite sophisticated. However, you do get charged for it. Located in one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city. Great for a special occasion.
Unbelievably brilliant tasting food.
Id ordered for the seasonal tasting menu. It was 5 courses. Remarkable presentation and quality of ingredients.
The most romantic set up for a date I've been to. Quite and warm and peaceful garden-like ambience.
Service - precise and knowledgeable suggestions
Very fine lunch
The lunch menu is of incredible value
Fine dishes in a great and soothing environment
Highly recommended for lunch
Superb
I really live every dish we have, delicious and perfectly cooked. Staff were nice and helpful. However, you have to book in advance if you like to dine here.
Okay but did not live up to the hype and definitely not the most romantic restaurant in London. We did not sit in the conservatory but did look directly into it and honestly could not see what all the fuss is about. Portions were small, the dishes classic and generally well executed but lacked flavour. The wild mushroom tagliatelle was gritty indicating the mushrooms had not been prepped properly which is not what you d expect when paying 250 for two people. Feels like a tourist trap and would not visit again. So many better places in London in this price bracket.
Very good food and service, as well as beautiful dining rooms. Shame that no dress code is enforced, as not all of their clients dress with consideration that some people might be here on a special occasion. Shorts, trainers and even baseball caps abound.
We were seated upstairs rather in the romantic downstairs area. Food was good but not THAT good for the price. Meh...
This is a stunningly beautiful restaurant; one of the most romantic ambience you can ever for. The pictures of the main dining room are gorgeous but it is even better in person. The restaurant is located in a high-end part of time and a lively street. We had to book a month in advance. Service and food were top notch. I can't recommend this place enough for a romantic date or important occasion!
Went for the good value pre-theatre menu and was very pleasantly surprised with the food - the veal was delicious and the pan fried fish was cooked to perfection. The cheese selection is incredible and well presented by the knowledgeable staff. Overall, staff were very friendly and attentive. The setting is also wonderful, especially in the conservatory area.
I'm one of the few perhaps that are usually not so fond of French food for its often creamy, oily or buttery dishes that I've had in other French restaurants, but everything we had here showed another side to French cooking, when it's well made with great balance of flavours and textures. Would definitely come back.
A fantastic overall experience that lives up to is reputation. Took my wife here for a special occasion and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Stellar food, wine, and service right in the heart of beautiful Covent Garden. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing food, brilliant service and best Christmas atmosphere in London
The place was beautiful though you have to book ahead quite a long time to get the flower room. The food was also good
I guess i have seen too many positive comments and i have too much expectation from the place. Nevertheless, i enjoyed my lunch and it worths a visit.
Beautiful setting, excellent staff and a delicious meal. Booking is difficult and essential - make an occasion of it!
Took three years to book it, finally made it and it's worth it!
Really nice ambience and very central. The food was okay. Quite expensive for the quality of the food. Can't fault presentation.
