A gastronomic experience to do absolutely if you are a lover of French cuisine in a modern way. The atmosphere in the conservatory is gorgeous, ideal for a romantic evening. My birthday dinner in London could not have been more beautiful than this! I loved every dish and the kindness and care of the service. If you have the opportunity to dine here you will not be disappointed.

Outstanding service, french style but where everyone seems to care. Excellent food in good portions. Incredibly extensive wine list. Very nice cosy atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic dinner.
Hands down the most satisfying meal I've had in months. Everything was perfectly balanced, service was attentive, but not over the top. The smoked bureata and truffle pasta dish were the clear highlights. Excellent for vegetarians. Really good non-alcoholic drink selection, with delicious and inventive mocktails. The sommelier was knowledgeable and made good recommendations, but I didn't feel that I gained the same appreciation for the pairings that I might have with a little more explanation.
One of the best dining experiences I have had. Great food and hospitality. Wouldn't hesitate to go back....the online reviews are very accurate. Happy customer.
I came here with three other and we ordered the tasting menu. Supposedly the best dishes of the chefs choice. It was not very good at all. It felt like the chef was trying to be extra fancy with advanced cooking techniques but it just did not go well together or the basics weren't there.
The worst dish of all was the braised beef. It was so over cooked that when you bit into it, it basically become mush. No need texture whatsoever. That dish came with a smashed potato with black olives which gave this super weird taste to it. And there was confit tomatoes on the side. What the hell is wrong with normal tomatoes. Why did you need to confit the tomatoes.
The foie gras dish was also not very good. It came with a slice of a fruit? Clearly it was to add some acid into the dish to balance out the richness of the foie gras. But the texture of that fruit was mush. I was unable to cut it because it just collapsed into it self. The fruit was also way too acidic and overpowering. It did not brighten up the dish at all.
The other dishes were okay, nothing to write home about. But not as bad as the two mentioned above.
The final dish, the dessert was probably the best one. Clearly made by a pastry chef. It was very strong in mango flavours with passion fruit filling on the inside. The caramelized sugar on the top was definitely extra and not needed. The flavours of the parfait was refreshing enough.
Overall I would not recommend this place for the tasting menu. Maybe some of the other dishes are better but I didn't have a good experience.
A lovely restaurant for a special occasion, but it is a pricey meal. The venue is lovely, the inside is covered in foliage, but not in an overpowering way. The food was great, really tasty, well timed with perfectly sized portions. We didn't feel any pressure from the staff to leave (even though we were warned at the start of a two hour limit). The wine list is ridiculous, so if like me you don't know your wines, it may be worth looking some up in advance so you've got an idea what you're buying.
Came here for my Birthday. Fantastic atmosphere and setting. Service was exceptional. Food was amazing. Starter- Dressed Crab Remoulade; Entree- Truffle Pappardelle pasta (so rich, so yum); Cheese course; Paris Brest hazelnut praline dessert. All so delicious. Recommend
Lived this place, divine food. Got tasting menu, beef dish a bit too rich for me but didn't want to knock a star for that. Wine pairing was spot on!! Amazing!!
An authentic French restaurant with French staff members. The food was great but very pricey, somewhat more pricier than what you d get in a 1-star or even a 2-star Michelin restaurant in London - some of which offer 6 courses as standard. More
A lovely evening at a really iconic restaurant. The service was impeccable, the food filling and delicious, and the atmosphere was truly unique. If you're there for dinner before a show, be warned that the area you're seated in is not the main dining room. I wish I had known that going in, but we weren't disappointed, just keen to explore all this restaurant has to offer!
Very Nice Place and kind personnel but the food is not worth the price at all.... If you want to eat fish in the manu there are only cod and turbot, really poor quality and not tasty fish. I was very disappointed, in a nice place you expect good food, not the same fish you can buy in the fish and chips!
Lives up to the expectations. Good food, even better wine and the service is immaculate. There may be a significant wait for a table though, as in months!
Even though we showed up half an hour late the manager was very accommodating and made sure we enjoyed our meal for the full 2 hours. He and the staff at the restaurant were superb. Can't wait to go back and sit in the terrace under the dreamy lights once more.
Amazing service and if you are lucky enough to get the conservatory it is beautiful. Great selection of wine too! However quite expensive, but would come again.
Apart from the excellence of the food, the ambience of the venue and, this time, the astonishing Christmas decor, we were impressed by the staff who were knowledgeable, willing to engage and attentive to our needs: helped to make our special evening memorable (even with my crutches!).
Amazing selection of wines and alcohols and exevellent customer service. The environment is very romantic and if you can book early try and get the conservatory atrium seating. The food is very fancy and high quality and quite rich- being French inspired I suppose.
Hands down our favourite restaurant in london, the food is always incredible, the cocktails & winelist are second to none, and the service can not be faulted. Whether you re celebrating and want to go somewhere special, or are just having a more casual lunch, the staff make you feel so welcome. Lots of little touches that you don t get elsewhere. Cannot wait to come back again! Would recommend to anyone.
If you're looking for a romantic and intimate place - this is it! It probably is the most romantic restaurant in London. If you are lucky enough to get seats in the conservatory area, you'll feel like in a fairytale. My boyfriend took me there for out 1st year aniversary and It was hearmelting. I'm in love with the place. The conservatory downstairs has only 7 tables and the space is small, but you don't feel crowded at all. The ceiling is decorated with a glow of side lamps around the room. There are cherry blossom flowers around the walls, and at the end of the room there is a fire place. It is simply the perfect example of cosy and intimate.
The wine list is impressing, the food is good but the desserts are the best. I had a caramelised Valrhona mousse which is the tasties thind I've ever tried.
This is the perfect place to show affection and have an intimate, romantic dinner. I can't wait to return.
Not only this place is one of the coziest and most romantic ones, but it also offers really great quality of food both at regular times and for the after-theater session.
Highly recommended if you are in the Covent Garden area and you wish to find an unexpected island of peace with a fantastic oenogastronomic experience.
I find it absolutely unethical and insultive for a staff at such restaurant to approach me where seated with a friend asking us if we are smoking weed.... just because we were dressed casual and I am black. The fact that I have neither smoked nor drink alcohol before in my life, made me feel maladjusted and attacked when approached. And the fact that he came to us alone to ask of all the people walking pass the street and waited outside the restaurant makes me feel racially profiled. Which is so belittling for a restaurant with supposed class , but lacks professionalism.
Booked for a birthday and was not disappointed. Beautiful conservatory, outstanding food and exemplary service. Cannot fault this place, highly recommend and would definitely revisit.
I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. The restaurant is indeed very well presented - the conservatory is beautiful but booked up months in advance. We both ate from the tasting menu. Some dishes were better than others. Overall I was More
Went there for a special occasion and was underwhelmed. The table service seemed new and not knowing how to serve in a fancy restaurant (from giving wrong wine glasses to bringing us wrong order from neighbors table). This place has ok food, but not worth the high price tag. There is better french restaurants in London.
Fine dining indeed! It's not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but the food is definitely worth it, as is the service. If you can get a reservation to sit in their hugely sought after conservatory (good luck!) then it'll be a memory of a lifetime for sure! They don't call it the world's most romantic restaurant for nothing!
Amazing! Super romantic. 10/10 food. Can splash out if you wish or make use of the excellent value for money pre/post theatre menus! Just remember to book with plenty of notice.
Excellent food and service, special mention to Oscar very attentive and went the extra mile to help. Would suggest decorating the middle area as only criticism feel very separate to the rest of the restaurant. Merry Christmas!
The food was fantastic, well presented and very tasty could not fault all three courses. We found the restaurant to be smaller than expected, as when looking at the pictures it looks larger but this is because of a mirrored wall. Nice to treat yourself now and again.
We didn't manage to secure a table in the famous conservatory but the lunch was spectacular. 3 excellent dishes and served by a staff obviously passionate about their work. Will be returning soon.
Absolutely amazing! Superb food, outstanding wine and impeccable service. The interior is stunningly beautiful and unique. The perfect place for a romantic experience.
I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday and took him to this beautiful place... We had a really good time, incredible food and service, very romantic decor... Surely this is a Must visit place in London
We ve now made it a must to visit this restaurant whenever we visit London. The decor is stunning and the service and food is always excellent. Great choices of wine and the menu offers a nice variety. Never had any issues here at all.
Lovely staff, nice atmosphere, but the food wasn t what i expected. The sirloin meat tasted bad, the salad was ordinary, nothing special. The desert however, was excellent. I ordered greek yogurt cheesecake. Even my coffee latte wasn t that good.
This was my first experience in a french restaurant. The food was amazing, especially the starters. The atmosphere was great and the staff provided exceptional service. It was quite expensive but worth it
I have booked a table for my boyfriend's birthday month in a advance, wanted it to be super special and have requested multiple times table somewhere quite, where we can celebrate together and enjoy it. Knowing restaurant reputation, I was sure that there won't be any issues with it.
However when we arrived, despite me booking month in advance and confining booking twice, and explaining that it is special occasion, they have booked us in right next to exit and opposite kitchen, so we could hear and view all cocktail making, all food making and etc- df not the best addition to an intimate meal. So that was my first disappointment.
On bright side, they did not fail after 3 reminders to place happy birthday greetings on my boyfriends cake and light candle, that probably the only highlight. Never returning there again.
The chicken is worth a try. The service is so good. It s recommended to reserve the table earlier to ensure you get a nice table which is under the flower. The dessert was so good especially the cheesecake. It was so fresh to match the cheesecake with the fruits. Will come here again
Food is devine. Service is faultless and the atmosphere in the beautifully flowered conservatory deservedly makes this one of the best and most romantic restaurants in London.
Went for an indulgent birthday lunch...and the food was brilliant! We don't really eat in establishments like Clos Maggiore but were damn happy with the food. Got one Seasonal menu and one vegetarian seasonal menu and were very happy with More
