Amazing food excellent service beautiful surroundings

It was okay for one of the fancier places to eat but not particularly outstanding or most romantic like it was described. Food was okay. Staff were very polite and friendly.

Utterly deserves its title as London s most romantic restaurant.

Located both highly conveniently and highly discreetly, Clos oozes French charm and elegance from the moment you walk through the door. I was taken here for my birthday by my girlfriend, who managed to secure a table in the conservatory, by far the best seat in the house. There is a considerable waiting list for these tables so book well in advance. There are dining areas on the ground floor by the bar and upstairs, but are no where near as romantic as the conservatory. We were lucky enough to be the first ones seated for the lunchtime service and had the luxury of enjoying some peace and solitude in the ornate surroundings with a glass of champagne, so do turn up early if you can!

The service for the entire meal was exceptional: glasses were refilled almost immediately after finishing a sip, and the staff accommodated my girlfriend s dietary requirements with ease and sincerity (the specially made gluten-free bread for her was one of the best she has ever had). The cuisine was wide-ranging with a strong French theme throughout, immaculately presented and very tasty indeed. The house red and white wines were delicious and a carafe of each were more than enough for us. The tuna and confit duck starter were lovely, and the salmon main was also fantastic after being specifically tailored for my girlfriend. My lamb was excellent.

I would happily return, but I would have to make sure that we were seated in the conservatory as anywhere else just would not compare.

Amazing place for dates, just beware that is really small. The whole thing is really formal, but the dishes delicious.

Breathtaking interior and excellent dishes. The floral design in the outside space lends a very romantic feel to the restaurant. The pasta was excellent, the beef dish was perfectly cooked. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here for a treat. Set in a nice part of town also!

We made a reservation for our civil wedding ceremony night and it exceeded our expectations. Not only the place is dreamy, the decoration, the music in the background, the whole ambiance makes you feel you are part of a fairytale! But also the service is outstanding and food and drinks were omg amazing. Can t recommend it enough, I m definitely going back for another special occasion. As if that wasn t already an extraordinary experience, they brought us some desserts on the house to congratulate us on our special night. Must visit!!!

Great restaurant, if you can get a booking. The conservatory area at the back is the place to be. Be organised and book a few weeks in advance, if you don't want to be disappointed.

The environment is absolutely dreamy and the food is outstanding too

In the evening we celebrated my girlfriends birthday here, 10/10. The best restaurant we've been to and the best service we have ever had. Everyone was polite and helpful. We had a certain waiter (wish we took his name for future bookings) he gave us an amazing service throughout the whole night. Certainly will be back without a doubt.

The retro decoration makes people suddenly attracted, and the food inside is delicious.

Beautiful decor, friendly staff, delicious food and wine. To have a table in the flower room is necessary to do a reservation with at least one month in advance.

Gorgeous food, extensive and thoughtfully designed wine list, and impeccable service. One of the most pleasant dining experiences in recent memory. We had lunch prior to the theatre and truly did not want to leave.

My favourite restaurant. I have yet to sit in the conservatory as I believe it's a 3 month que. However, the food, service and ambience is good no matter where you are seated.

Amazing food, fantastic venue and lovely ambience. Went here for a works dinner and had an amazing meal with a couple of bottles of wine. All four of us agreed that all the dishes we chose were of excellence quality.

Having read all the excellent reviews on tripadvisor and Google, we were really excited to visit clos maggiore for our anniversary. We went for lunch and chosen the set menu. The food looked and tasted great. However after we left the restaurant me and wife did not feel good. When we got home we felt sick, all night was vomitting and toilet issues. We had not had any food before going to the restaurant as we were excited to taste the food... Unfortunately our anniversary did not end very well.

Also we did not get any acknowledgment it was our anniversary. As we stated it when doing the booking. At the same people birthday was acknowledged whole we was there.

We were celebrated my birthday in beautiful place with fantastically decorated! We're all enjoyed it. Recommend everyone.

One of the finest places to dine in an amazing romantic and magical atmosphere.
Try to book as early as possible since bookings normally go as far as two months in advance!!
The Chef has some special touches in his dishes.
Try the Scottish Cod dish.

Pre-theatre set menu. Great value, perfectly executed. We will return to try the a La Carte.

The decor is splendid. My expectations were already high before arriving and they have definately been exceeded.
The restaurant is generally decorated stunning throughout the year however during Christmas it really is like a winter wonderland.

Incredible food. Incredible setting. Incredible service. Faultless. If you want the conservatory book early as this place is very popular. Post theatre menu very well priced and great selection of food.

My husband tried the tasting menu and I had ala carte, everything we tasted was delicious! I think that's what I find special about french cuisine.. they never make anything non-tasty
It was my husband's birthday and I had arranged a cake for him(in secret)via the restaurant and the staff surprised him at the end of the meal with the cake..

Close Maggiore has been one of our all-time favorites for the last four years. It is a romantic French escapade, with impeccable yet friendly service and exquisite cuisine. For Frenchies in London like us, it is a fantastic taste of home, and more than affordable if you go during the Set menu times. One of my strongest recommendation for a delightful evening. Booking strongly recommended.

Went there for my father's 70th birthday. Great service & food and very good atmosphere overall. OK it is pricy but to my opinion it is a perfect choice for special occasions.

My expectation for the place was so high, but i left the place very dissapointed. Appart from the fact that i had asked when booked to be sat in the conservatory, which we werent, the food was not great either. The fish stank and the whole evening was ruined. The staff was attentative but the whole experience was not great. One thing is for sure that we will not be visiting the place again

MY partner and I visited Clos Maggiore for a special menu they were offering during National Vegetarian Week. We hadn't been before despite having walked past thousands of times, and had heard great things about the ambiance and decor.

When the French do decided to do vegetarian food, they do it VERY well, and it was great to experience the amazing service and atmosphere associated with this place while being able to eat everything on the set menu! In fact there were two we could have had, as CM always offers a veggie tasting menu alongside its meat-based ones.

The service was impeccable, the decor just as special as described and we were particularly blown away by the wine! My only criticism would be that some of the portions were a little small even by the standards of French food, perhaps because the vegetarian meals were presented in the same style as the meat ones yet were not as heavy/filling? It was a small gripe however and we had an amazing time. Definitely one for special occasions!

Nice place and good location. Indeed stunning atmosphere. However the food there is not that extraordinary(especially the sauce is too sweet for me).

We had a lovely dinner here and I must give an extra special mention to David the head waiter who displayed the sort of competence found at the highest level of bespoke service. The food was pleasant and the venue quite romantic.

Perfect for a special occasion. The food is perfect as is to be expected at the price and the service is immaculate. Not the kind of place to pop in for tea but very memorable for a special occasion.

Exceptional food and beautifull atmosphere over lunch - even though the restaurant had many patrons it was never too loud to carry a conversation. Great dairy-free options, knowledgeable and pleasant staff, and a wonderfully warm aesthetic with no detail left unattended!

Beautiful romantic setting multiple small rooms. Very intimate. Lobster vermicelli and the pumpkin soup was the pick of the starters. The beef main was so tender and the red wine jus was lovely. The savarin could have been less soggy but that is all I would have changed

Our favourite top restaurant for a special occasion. The Atrium is such a romantic location, the food is so good and the wine fantastic. If you can try the taster menu with the discovery wines, wow there were some great pairings.

Delicious food and wine, lovely winter garden, but a hell of a waiting time, so book 6 months in advance to be sure to get a spot there. And also, it s a little snobbish; it s three courses or no courses.

If you won't that WOW factor visit Clos Maggiore to impress your date. The setting is both intimate but relaxing, beautiful but not over the top. The food is of a high standard and the pre-theatre menu offers great value. We went for our Anniversary and will look to return year on year.

What grabs you first is the ambience followed by the food. What let's it down is the service. the waiter forgot my cocktail order. Moreover this place of overbooked which meant we didn't have time for dessert at the end of our meal: what an excellent way to kill what should have been a fine dining experience.

Absolutely fantastic. We spent my wedding anniversary there. Delicious food and romanticism were surrounding a special day. Please note that you need to book in advance for the conversatory!

The restaurant itself is very small and you feel very intimate not only with your partner but with everyone else in the room. The mirrors make it appear deceptively bigger than it is. One thing I cannot fault, is the service. Neither my partner or myself are the most flamboyant or immaculately dressed, however, we received a very warm service.

Clos Maggiore has a great atmosphere and tasty food. Perfect for a first date. As a local photography company, we can say that this place is great and our clients also liked it. Highly recommend!

Economic and really cozy place, the cocktail is good, I can't remember what's the cocktail name I order, might be Elm something, that's fresh. The courses I order are hot, the first pic taste like a kind of Chinese flavour. I might like to come again.

This was an absolutely amazing place with beautiful images in every direction & an excellent "Strawberry Belini" let alone a delicious veal I'm looking forward to attending again and will certainly be telling a few friends X

Wouldn't recommend for new years eve, we went last year and they didn't acknowledge the countdown to midnight or offer a toast. Also if you are booking ensure you get a table in the main part as we were seated in what I would call the entrance hall and there is no atmosphere. Food and drink is good, pricey though for what you actually get for new years.

Absolutely lives up to the hype. The food was delicious, the setting was simply beautiful and I've never had service so amazing. We had tickets to a show, and ordering off of their 'Pre-show menu' gets you your 2 or 3 courses that come quickly without taking too much time. Very pleased; will go again when we go to London another time.
