Like every other casino around the country...they all have their best days and not so great days..but ill will be going back there soon cuz its a good vibe i get from other patrons ive met there...
Staff was friendly, enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant slept like a baby. Beds we're comfortable.... everything was good. Good place to stay...my preference had a great time.

Where to begin checking was a long wait and this establishment didn't not even accommodate at all, I was placed in a smoking room with 2 kids and the room had dust on everything it hadn't been cleaned. Front desk security tried kicking out a woman and a infant for standing in the lobby waiting for a key to be re activated bcuz she got locked out of her room. This hotel was overpriced and not even worth the $ spent. To top it off no room service. This is very upsetting family trip. Not family friendly.
We ate at Carnegie's Restaurant inside of the Tropicana Casino and it was very good food and way enough to eat at a good price. They have more restaurants and a Buffet that we are going to try later. We had a good time playing Bingo in their new Bingo hall. It wasn't crowded and they have soft chairs. The workers are very nice.
Reserved the nicest room they had available. Excellent front desk service, only reason it gets a 3 star. Otherwise the room didn't look at all like advertised and the bathroom was pretty bad. Was supposed to have upgraded linens but it's just that plain cream colored blanket, and the toilet and bath both had black stains. Will stay again because of the front desk, but won't pay for an upgraded room.
The rooms are great. The hotel is clean and modern, but the drink prices are not. Across the street you can get a single drink that will knock your socks off for a reasonable price. It's almost double for the same drink here. The 24hr cafe here has GREAT food though. So it's a trade off.
Odds on machines set low. Never see anyone getting hand pays
Can't get anything to eat delivered to the room. When I called the desk and asked about room service they laughed and said we don't do that. But they won't let the pizza guy deliver to the room either. I had to meet him by the pool. My brother who is handicapped had to park out in the middle of the lot and hobbel two hundred yards to the elevators to get up to his room. Won't come back.
Very dated rooms, dirty windows and lobby is far depending on what tower you are staying at. Casino is decent and no view of river. It's not bad but not good.

The weather was Great, and room to go on the river ski- doing. Labor Day was busy but, plenty of things to do.Enjoy dining at local restaurants at Riverside and Tropicana our favorite places. And a good restful sleep at the end of the day at Tropicana Casino and Hotel. Our place to go and enjoy !
Great Rooms and service. Food is good and the free live entertainment is always great. The table games are the best.
Tropicana never dissapoints us. We alway have a great stay there. Happy birthday to Scott. He n I share the same birthdays. July babies are awesome!

Walked into a Cool, Clean and friendly environment. Just the escape I needed from the desert heat. After visiting the advantage players club, I instantly swiped my card in the kiosk and won free play :) kind of sucks that I don't get thanked for the review though
Very clean room, really could use more room amenities like a fridge. Nice place well kept casino. Pool area was really nice, this would be a nice wedding venue. I probably would eat somewhere else though, the food was cruise ship cuisine at best.
Players club people were excellent, the machines were very fun but the hotel is a little out of style.
For a casino the rooms could have been classier, and the refrigerator didn't work.

They have the best entertainment. It's very friendly and I feel at home here. The ONLY thing I would say I wish was different is , I wish they carried Pepsi. Other than no Pepsi. This is one of my favorite casinos.
Every time I go to the Tropicana in Laughlin we have such a great time. As far as the slots and tables games seems like they are fair and we do seem to win. The food is really good too the buffet and Italian restaurant are my favorites. I continue to tell my friends about the Tropicana in Laughlin Nevada.
I give this hotel 3 stars for the nice pool. Pool has great drinks for cheap and yummy snacks. But the rooms do not look like the website. Very run down .
My husband and I went to the casino for a little gambling during our stay and also to ride the train. The service there was very friendly and we would love to stay there the next time we are in Laughlin. Unfortunately, we were told that the train hasn't been active since new owners bought the hotel 3 years ago. Other than the train no longer being operational, we did enjoy the casino. One of the biggest ones in Laughlin with a wide variety of machines. Hotel looked very nice since it was updated.
Worst stay ever..all the good slots are gone customer service was bad..entertainment less than acceptable rooms not clean..serious issues..left after 1 night

updated review:. Now I stayed at the hotel. The rooms old and stuffy. No fridge & $10 to get one. Tho I was on the 23td floor and had a great view.
I don't recommend that you refuse the Maid service. If you do, you can't get any more towels. You're stuck.
This year was my first at the Tropicana and now I wondered why I waited so long to visit.
It's not on the Riverwalk in Laughlin, but across the street. But I would stay there again! It's only across the street!!!
The gaming floor was bright, open and friendly and I actually won some money! I will certainly be back.
The Tropicana has become my new Laughlin fav hotel! Especially since the Aquarius has changed to a Best Western and charges Resort fees now, amongst other changes.
Kids liked the pool, the kids arcade closet($1 per game, about 10 working games), the pizza restaurant manager always has a attitude ,they pick and choose who to sit and eat there, kids loved the buffet
Nice hotel/casino. Don't be dissuaded by the fact it's on the other side of the "strip". It's a short walk to get to the riverwalk.

My mother and I just stayed this past week for 3 nights. We were in the Adult Tower and the room was great. The cleaning staff were very friendly. The problem we have had the past year staying here is the pool area. We stay at the Tropicana because of the Adults Only hot tub. We have had to "police" parents letting their babies and toddlers in although it is posted "ADULTS ONLY". The other problem with the pool area is that Bathing Attire should be worn. There are SO MANY people using the pools in street clothes and it looks like they just came in from the lake and use the pools in dirty clothes. Maybe the staff should walk around a little bit and observe better. Also, there must have been pure bleach in the hot tub one day because our swim suits are now horribly discolored. The other problem we encountered this stay was when we cashed our tickets from the machines in we both received TOKENS from several pizza parlors as quarters. We did bring this to attention to the cashiers and they laughed and told us to find a man walking around in a "blue shirt with a fanny pack"! I wonder what would happen if we used PIZZA TOKENS in the machines? Would it be just as funny? Maybe it is time to check out some of the other hotels.
Last year me & my family stayed here & we only paid the fees we where told about no additional fees.
Come this year we stayed there for 4 days & we left the $100 deposit we were told we'd get back, then come the day of check out we were told we where only getting $50 back apparently it was for some "resort fee". We will never be returning here, id advise anyone whom stays here to expect to only get half of your deposit back.

Room was bad. I they put on the second floor, in a smoking room. The floor looked like the room had flooded and they just let it air dry. The bathroom needed repaired. They charge for wi fi, come on it 2018 aleady. I would NOT recommend this hotel.
I like this place. The rooms are a little older but have been redone. I always come here while in Laughlin. It's a fun place to hang out

Nice visit. Ongoing construction sucks and my room had cigarettes burn and was sort of falling apart but it was clean and no bed bugs. Not bad for a cheap room!
This was one of the worst hotel stays I have had. Starting with check in when I was informed that because I had booked using an outside party, the confirmation that started that I would be given 2 smoking rooms meant nothing. I was then given 2 rooms almost as far apart on the same floor as was possible. When i asked to speak to management about this to try to resolve the problem she made it quite clear that she didn't care. Then after entering my room I discovered that the heat didn't work at all so I was freezing at night, partly because of the tissue thin blanket and sheet that were not nearly enough to keep someone warm. Outlets were falling out of the wall and seemed hazardous. Will not stay here again. Will stay at the Laughlin river lodge next time
They did not want to give us extra towels because my kids names were not put on the list. Attitude from workers up front because I asked for extra blankets. Would not move rooms, even though a.c. was inop
Customer service was decent, fast visit, friendly environment. Lost money though in the machines so that's why I usually don't gamble. Haha. Might come back to visit with family and friends and or eat.

The various stores and restaraunts are closed at odd hours due to understaffing. The food was all right. It was very difficult to get served by a cocktail waitress.
The beds were not at all comfortable. The Brew Brothers was great!
