Registration was very nice and speedy. The morning nurses were very sweet and helpful. The night nurses were not as helpful. I would call for assistance and they would ask for what. I would call the nurses station for my nurse and they would ask me what do I need her for. I just felt like they didn t want to be there. My morning nurses were very good about asking about my pain level and making sure I was comfortable. The night nurses would even miss my next dose of meds for hours. The baby s nurse at night was way more helpful to me than my nurses were. Also, nurses/staff would enter the room and not even introduce themselves. When the shift changed we wouldn t see our nurse til almost 2 hours later.

My only issue is that I went to the hospital as usual for my mammogram. The first person at the front said I needed to check in at the ER. Went to the ER, she stated it is now across the street. She gave me the address, nice of her. This needs to be noted to patients when making an appointment. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. The tech and staff were fabulous.

Almost 37 weeks pregnant, went in for bleeding and contractions. Was given a nurse from a nightmare! From the moment she walked in she was over talking me and my husband, dismissing any concerns we had, Insinuated that since she didn t see any blood that I was a liar, shoved a catheter in me (with no numbing cream) in order to take urine for a screening, in which I could easily have used a cup. I was screaming in pain. Drew blood from my hand instead of my arm which was also extremely painful for no reason, and asked me if I had done anything crazy that night before coming in, I m guessing she meant drugs. I was so hurt and offended and in pain, I got myself dressed and discharged myself. Her name was Cassie. I pray I never have to encounter her again when it is time to deliver! No empathy or actual care for others at all!

The worst nursing staff ever. Very rude, slow, and unprofessional. I would never recommend this facility, and I would give them zero stars if it were an option.
No need for to respond to my response, cause I have read your reviews and the responses you give and yet nothing changes. I just wanted to for warn people in advance to seek health care elsewhere.

Ps. My wife was in unbearable pain in the ER and they just left her in sitting in a hallway for hours. Stonecrest hospital is by far the worst in the health care business!!!!!

This is by far one of the worst hospitals I have ever visited. If you can go anywhere else please do. I woke up and felt like my throat had something in it. Whenever I swallowed it burned and I couldn't barely breath so I did not want to wait until the clinic opened. I went there found out it was just a strep type issue went and pisd right. 240 dollars no big deal. Then I get a letter in the mail. My insurance covered most everything but I still had an additional 500. Are you kidding me. This hospital is full of thieves. For 15 maybey 20 mins they made over $3000 at least I'm not even sure. But then the doctor billed me as well. Another freaking bill. Just to be honest stone rest is crooked. I will never visit this one again I will opt for saint Thomas. Hope everyone sees this and never visits this place or you will get robbed

This hospital has a beautiful campus but needs a lot of staff training. I have found that the individual doctors offices located at the hospital are good but the General hospital itself is no go.
Having my first child at this hospital almost killed me due to lack of staff training. All my medical records were incomplete and gave no information of the actual incidents that occurred during my visit. Fast forward to the other day when I find myself at the ER. The staff was nice by very unconcerned about patients. I was told different information from different nurses and medical staff and literally had to beg to get the help I needed. Upon being released I reviewed my medical records and again an array of fictional information of the events that took place while I was at the hospital. I m disappointed in this hospital and hope you guys do better in the future. I will be filing a compliant about my medical records! This should not be the second time my medical records are incorrect! Sad we can t trust people who are supposed to help us!

I was at the ER for 8 hours with a stomach bug that made me severely dehydrated. All I was given was a bag of IV fluids, zofran, and morphine then was sent home. I should have been given more fluids before being sent home. I have a massive bruise from the IV and marks on my arm two days later from the BP cuff. I've had three pregnancies and have never had BP cuffs leave marks. This hospital needs a serious personnel overhaul.

My evening nurse pract. Was amazing. Some of the nurses on days were very rude and pushy. The bedside manor was so depressing. Need to stay as positive as the evening nurse i had. If it wasnt for him the will to be positive would have been hard. We come to hospital to not feel sick. He was one of the few people that looked at me as person not just a job. We need more nurses to keep positive. I appreciate all the help given.

I took my wife due to a fall that ended up being a broken knee cap . They took her back almost immediately and examined her and did X-rays and confirmed the broken knee cap.

The care in the ER was good and they did everything expected and everyone was friendly and helpful until discharge.

I gathered my wife s belongings and the nurse pushed the wheelchair. I told the nurse I would go ahead and get my truck which was parked a ways away and be right back. When I get back my wife is sitting in the wheelchair on the edge of the sidewalk in front of the ER alone and had been for at least three minutes. I ask her where the nurse was and she says she parked me here and left. So she sat there alone and we received no help getting her in my truck which we could have used. I personally think that was very unprofessional and somewhat unsafe to leave her there alone .

We took our son to StoneCrest on Saturday evening. He had already tested positive for Covid earlier in the week. He was vomiting and was not quite lucid. He was admitted and newly diagnosed with diabetes (487 blood sugar). He was released on Monday evening which long story short was probably too soon. They called in a prescription for insulin but forgot to include needles and we could not administer the insulin. The second prescription for insulin was never called into the pharmacy. We called the ICU department and the ICU charge nurse (Angela) was very rude and argumentative. She lacks listening skills and continued to press her point of view. It seemed she was more interested in being right than listening to concerned parents. Although she gave us her excuses of why the prescriptions were not accurate, she made sure to tell us she could not give us any medical advice.

We tested his sugar once we got him home and it was almost 400 and he started vomiting again. We drove back to the ER at 10:00 Monday night where he is still waiting to be seen. It s almost midnight. We have great medical insurance but regardless the charge nurse lacked professionalism and empathy. Maybe she s burned out but so are most front line workers including my daughter who is also an RN.

The ER MD (Nguyen) was very rude.
The hospitalist EMPLOYED BY THE HOSPITAL asked me, "Why didn't you go to a better hospital?"

I took my friend to Vanderbilt after her release because she couldn't walk. She spent 6 WEEKS in Vanderbilt & Stallworth relearning how to walk.

The labor & delivery department is excellent, but avoid the rest of this joint like the plague it is.

My wife went there around 230pm, left at 8pm. No test ran, no ct scan done. nothing. she went in there with a legitimate issue and they disregarded her. 6 hours of wasted time. they weren't checking in her. they told her "oops we forgot you were back here".Other nurses didnt even know the room was being used. They didnt list her possible issues on the discharge paperwork, they told her for 4hrs she was waiting on the CT scan but never told her when. She told them to just get her out of there and discharge her and they had 3 nurses then try to convince her to stay and that they were getting her next. Took 30 mins to discharge her and then lied to her again. Pure negligence on the ERs part of basic refusal to care for medical needs for a patient. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. (theres more just to much to type).

My visit with my physician or the CT scan I had done were both great experiences, but getting from where I had to park to those 2 visits was an arduous task. The past several times that I and my wife have had appointments for tests or doctor visits the courtesy car has not been running. I have advanced COPD and could not make the walk from where I had to park to the building.

So, I m very torn on this review! I was hospitalized at the end of last year/beginning of 2019. I found EVERYONE I came into contact with knowledgeable, empathetic & overall one of the best hospital trips ever.

Sadly this time (I have a condition that does pug me in a couple times a year.) the experience has been entirely different. First, they are going to admit me. Then their hospitalist decided I am not worthy of admission. (I was sent home still vomiting from St. T. Rutherford, so I came here. I had to drink a soda, knowing it would come up (more racking body pain for me & that terrible nausea).
Only then the this dr agree. I m now having an INCREDIBLY hard time getting the meds I need & in the form my body can handle right now.

If someone is nauseous or puking - common sense to me say, use that IV!

I feel like I ve been handpicked to be someone to be picked on unfairly. I know all about preconceived notions; but I would think healthcare (ESPECIALLY a community hospital) should supersede ALL precognitive thought.

I'll start with the positives. The nursing staff is caring and the equipment is in generally good and sanitary order. Now the rest: The administrating staff at the front desk are trashy pieces of filth. Apathetic would be an understatement. Without any resemblance of someone who's paying attention, they very vaguely ask you what's wrong and make you feel like you're interfering with their personal time. After being checked by the sweet nurses, you're then relegated to a 2 to 3 hour wait time. When you're in pain or injured this feels like an eternity. Once you're given a room, there is nothing to give you a sense of time or relief from what feels like purgatory waiting for one of the sub par doctors to come in and do their "professional checks" After being seen for 5 minutes by a doctor whose bedside manner and attitude that makes the administrating staff mirror the jolly Saint Nick himself, you're then given the pleasure of an additional wait without any idea what the doctor is doing. If you weren't so positive you had to be billed before you can leave you'd think the doctor was finished with you, of course assuming they hadn't assigned completely irrelevant treatments in order to milk as much cash as possible from you...I'd take my chances suturing myself and taking Tylenol than to ever go back to this pathetic excuse for a hospital. You'd think since healthcare in America is so absurdly expensive, you'd get 5 star quality from a medical center. Instead Stonecrest has the type of service and atmosphere one could expect from a Soviet field hospital.

It s amazing that a first time mother has to wait for TWO hours to get a cup of ice chips.
Let along to receive some sort of compassion. Even though she was not registered in this so call hospital there is no reason to have a patient suffering with no help whatsoever. No relief for the pain. Putting a monitor on her is not attention. My guess is when she loose consciousness or the baby gets in distress May someone will do something.
Not a place to bring a human being for nothing.

What a joke of a hospital. I was referred for 2 preventive screening tests by my doctor (Dr Hixson) and when i called to schedule, i was told it would be $600 out of pocket. I refused, but later a nurse called (I think she was in authorizing) and said she would would help me, as these are covered under Medicare. After 3 months she finally called and said it was authorized and i could get the tests done. I had called the SS office, and they were approved. Now 2 months after the tests i am getting bills for $359 on 2 different occasions. It will be a cold day in hell before I pay this, and am actively looking for another hospital in case i need one. Sick of calling, as it has been going on now for almost 6 months and so many calls i can't keep up.

My husband has been in and out of the hospital recently. Been to the ER three times, and almost 2 weeks spent in the hospital not consecutively. Nurse Stephanie in the ER and PA Keeley Metzer were outstanding. And so many other nurses we have dealt with while admitted to the hospital itself. Dr. Jenkins, Kellie and Dr. Shamoun, Gideon, Andrea, Leona, Dr. Benson, Rebecca, Yhugo. I know I m forgetting other nurses. But they have all been wonderful. I ve seen the reviews for Stonecrest and was never really sure bc of that. But I m here to tell we highly recommend this hospital. My husband and I can be picky. And we are thrilled will all the care we have received. The facility is clean and quiet. Everyone is friendly, attentive and compassionate. And the cafeteria is good too. Great individuals here at Stonecrest. A+. We look forward to having our baby here in November.

Took husband to ER because he passed out in garage...

Took husband to ER because he passed out in garage and banged his head really well. Blood was everywhere as is usual for head cuts. Cleaned him up and took him for stitches. They were very quick to see him. He had a Brain CT, Cervical Spine CT and Maxillofacial CT. No problems. 5 quick stitches over his eye and 1 staple to his scalp in the back of his head and we were good to go. We were told by the ER Doctor that we could come back in a week to have staple and stitches removed. Our Dr would remove stitches but not staple. Took him back to ER and was told it would be a whole new Admission to ER ($500 our ins). The suggested Urgent Care. Went there next. They would only charge $175! Went on Amazon and got a Surgical Staple remover for $1.44 and took the stitches out myself. All in all this trip, according to my EOB's was charged $14,347.87. No bloodwork, no IV's. 5 Stitches and 1 staple. I wonder why Healthcare and Insurance is so messed up.

Just had to edit this review to remove only star I gave it first time around. Now they get NO STARS! It is now July 2018. Rec'd a phone call in January requesting payment. I told them I have not rec'd a bill from them yet and I don't normally pay bills until I see what I owe for what services. I was told to go online to MyHealthOne to view this, just put in my acct number. To which I responded, I don't have an account number because I have not rec'd a bill! They sent me an Itemized bill within a week that included my acct number. I have logged on to MyHealthOne to make a payment every month (2 in April) since then. I thought it funny that at the end of June I got my first actual bill from them in the mail. It had my correct balance due after making payments. July 9, 2018, Final payment of $300 made!!! July 16 2018, Received Notice of Collection on behalf of Stonecrest Medical Center! I call customer service # on bill, which takes you to a 3rd party billing center, I was told that I was sent to collections because I never called to make a payment plan!!! At no time was I requested to call anyone to set up a payment plan. Each month I paid all that I could! $228, $200, ( $300, $100 ) $125, $175 and $300. I didn't pay them $50 here or there, I paid it off as fast as I could. I will never go here again and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!

Apparently you have to give them at least 1 star or your post will not be displayed. Though they DO NOT deserve the star, i will put it anyway so that someone may read this and go anywhere else!

Beware of bringing your loved one to this location...

Beware of bringing your loved one to this location for treatment. My dad was transported to this facility in late October with complications due to cancer. From the very beginning we were met with bitter rudeness. My dad had to have emergency surgery, and was COVID tested prior (by a nurse who wasn't wearing a mask as a side note). His test results were announced to us in the middle of the waiting room with 6 other people near who we didn't know.
After surgery, he was taken to ICU where the treatment, and communication got even worse. I was actually yelled at and hung up on by a nurse named Lori when I called to check up on my dad, because she "thought I was my mom"- which is unimaginable to say the least.
They let my dad leave their facility, and be transported to a rehab facility with low hemoglobin, and E-coli infection in his blood and urine. They were giving him no antibiotics for this nor did they communicate with him, his family, or the facility where he was transported. The infection was only made known when a nurse at the rehab facility was reviewing his chart, as my dad had extreme fatigue, and inability to move his legs.
Stonecrest did not properly clean the tubes in his back that are in place to bypass his kidneys due to a blockage. These tubes were inflamed and infected.
This hospital frequently skipped meals given to my dad. And he was served cold food with every meal.
The treatment my dad recieved was abuse and neglect. And we are moving forward with legal advice

Unless it's a life threatening situation I would bypass this place. The place looks nice and parking is convenient but that's it. Communication, scheduling, and the service is lacking. Smyrna deserves better. After reading the other reviews it looks like all other areas of the hospital should take some pointers from the labor and delivery.

We have been waiting for over 3 hours in the waiting room and we have been waiting in the emergency room for almost 2 hours this is awful. And I ask if my daughter could get some ice chips and they said no and the doctor was explaining why and this rude ass male nurse interrupted the doctor and snapped at me and told me my daughter could die on the operating table. He had no reason to talk to me like that. The name of the male nurse was Cody. Someone needs to do something about the way that he speaks to people with his attitude from hell

The nurses I had were great, the food was pretty good as well. The only problem was the wait from the emergency room to a hospital room which was around 3.5 hours. Doctor Inman was great with the way he described my illness. Everyone from the doctors to the cleaning crew was great and caring.

I went to the ER and there was dry blood in my room on the floor. The room was so small and it looked like they had a camera in it. The room looks like a isolation room for a crazy person. Also my husband came with me because I was in very severe pain and when asked if he could also have a Dr. excuse they were all acting like they could not give him one until i told them that the PA said the nurse had to do it. They misdiagnosed me just to get me out of there because mind you hospitals ER try to cut down their wait times and long stays. I told them i had IBD and Endometriosis and they said i had a virus but the symptoms are symptoms i have been having since diagnosed and i came because they had got worse. For the expense of going to a ER, go somewhere worth the money. The beds were horrible and small. Everytime i scooted up the mat would slide down almost off the bed. I was in so much discomfort i had to ask for the bed to be adjusted (you could tell the bed was in a uncomfortable position) and they acted like they didnt want to help. I was freezing cold using my jacket to cover and the only person who tried to make me comfortable was the registration lady. She gave me a nice warm blanket and was really nice trying to adjust my lighting so i could get some comfort. My new nurse(shift change) that i got was somewhat nicer, she too did get me another blanket to wrap up. The chair in there was uncomfortable for my husband and he was exhausted from me being up all night long and morning. Overall dont come here even if your dying. Worst place everr, your just another number.

No one enjoys an emergency room visit, but I found several things about mine at Stonecrest disturbing.

1. After the initial cleaning of the cut on my head, a PA came in,
examined the cut and then left.

2. A nurse came in and said you are getting an MRI. Probably reasonable
enough since I had banged my head quite hard when I fell.

3. On being returned to the exam room. a male nurse came in and
wanted to put a neck brace on me. After I declined the brace, he
literally tried to force the brace onto my and quit only when I told him
that he was assaulting me.

4. Before the PA closed the cut with stitches, a Doctor ( never caught his
name) looked into the room for a few seconds and then left. Never
saw him again.

5. Questions: Will the Doctor who peeked into the room add a
"consultation" charge to the bill?

a: Why would a nurse try to physically force a patient into a brace that
the patient has said that he does not want?

6. Congress is passing or has passed a bill governing "surprise"
emergency room costs. Way past due and if passed will not take
effect until 2013.

My sister was in here 3 days ago, she just had a beautiful baby girl. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone not even my worst enemy. Dr. Cherice felix literally broke my neices left arm by being so rough on her, then they tried to cover it up by x-raying the right instead of the left. They even called another doctor in to take a look (forgot her name) at baby Julya but the doctor came in the room and said "theres nothing wrong with your baby girl, her arm is just bruised really bad" then my sister noticed the babys arm when she was checking it herself and noticed there was no movement and she was crying when she touched a specific area. She mentioned it thats when they took another x-ray friday which was 3 days into post partum when they took another x-ray of the left arm then said "yes its broken" not once did they say "sorry" you would think doctors would be more caring especially to new mothers. Such a bad hospital dont ever go there. Now my sister is trying to get a doctor from vandy. Ill be contacting the cheif if the cheif doesnt do anything about this situation then ill be contacting the board. Im going to go above & beyond. This is unacceptable.

Nice and accomidating but to many patients per doctor. The nurses are not really the problem here. Their attitude toward blood manement ais really poor and archaic at best. It takes an act of congress to request state of the art procedures and even if they approve treatments it takes days to get them.
The doctors in general lack compassion and have little sense of urgency.
I have asked my family and friends to not take me there...even if that choice seems life threatening.

Went into the e.r. at 730pm with a good size gash on my hand from power equipment. Waited for 2 and a half hrs while another man bled from his head with a similar gash... they let over 15 different patients to the back with with absolutly no signs of pain or stress before they even let either of the people with blood coming out of them back. Once in the er room it took them another 2 hrs to even bring in the sutures... they didnt even sew me up then I waited another hr with medical supplies sitting next to me. This place shows no sign of urgency with thier patients and lord help anyone with a life threatening issue... you may wait in the waiting room until you die. If you have another option for medical assistance I absolutely recommend taking the alternative.

When i was taken into a triage they did bring a doctor in to do a flash diagnosis within the 1st 10 seconds, which is why i was concerned about appendicitis in the first place, he says to get a ct scan because of the location of the pain. Flash forward 2.5 hours later, i ask about when i might be taken back, and the receptionist replies that if i leave they will bill me anyways. I didn't even say i was leaving i just asked if i was going to be seen. When i did get taken back to a room, i went to use a bathroom and it was covered with blood. The sink, the door handle everything. I understand it was late at night, but in a hospital. I still expect sanitary conditions. I would never go back to this hospital.

My sister and I took our mother to StoneCrest ER this past Saturday night. She was immediately taken back due to her age and symptoms. All of the staff were attentive and caring to her and us. They promptly ruled out a serious infection and moved to other testing to determine what exactly was causing her problems. We were there for several hours, but mostly due to the fact she needed fluid and that takes time. She was able to return to my house early Sunday morning and as of Monday afternoon feeling a lot better. So thank you to her nurse, Jennifer, her Doctor, Domino, and the respiratory therapist and imaging staff that took great care of her. Thank you for listening and making the best decisions for her recovery.

The receptionist was awesome! Even though I was the last appointment of the day, everyone was super polite and helpful. I appreciate the time taken to explain everything and I felt very well taken care of.

I was right in and out. The staff were nice. I came in for a clogged feeding tube, being unable to do my tube feeds. My surgeon told them to discharge me and he would take care of it in outpatient. Now I m having to wait weeks to have my feeding tube replaced all while going without my feeds. I don t know how people in the medical field think it s ok to let someone that relies on tube feeds for nutrition to go days let alone weeks without getting the nutrition they need.

I recently have made 3 trips to stone crest with my elderly mother who has dementia. Dr. Archer is a wonderful, patient physician who was excellent with my mother. Treating a dementia patient takes alot of patience, he went above and beyond as did the ER nurses. The problem was when she was admitted to 2nd floor. Our first night was horrible. Mom was scared, and out of her element, she was having some agitation and her nurse actually grabbed her and got in her face and started yelling at her. I had to step in and tell the nurse how to speak to a dementia patient. The phlebotomists' were just as bad and actually wanted to keep agitating by arguing with her while drawing her blood, and continued when walking out of the room. I feel stone crest needs to have some dementia training for their employees. Her day nurses Ashley and Maria were great during the day on Thursday, night nurses not so much. Linsey was her day nurse on 11/4/16 and she was awesome!! She took the time to sit and talk with mom, which made her feel like finally a nurse cared. The other issue was moms room was directly across from nurses station and one nurse in particular did nothing but complain about her job and fellow employees. Patients and their families don't want/need to hear all that!! That's what meeting or break rooms are for!!

Just got placed into a room at the ER, which I had to limp to on a hurt foot cuz she didnt ask me if I'd like a wheelchair and look on the floor and there is 3 spots of blood right infront of the chair/bed. When I asked the nurse if it was blood she was like no I dont think so it looks like a sprinkle.....like yes there is a "sprinkle" there but im referring to the 3 little specks of blood around it. Gross hospital and rude staff, doesn't even deserve half a star but had to put something to leave this review....

Was waiting at the emergency area more than hour with terrible pain in stomach. Finally I made right decision to drive to different hospital, where at the same day I had operation. It was appendix and they said it was very infected and I got lucky it didn't blow up to my body organs. My advice if you REALLY have something serious DON'T ever go to ER.
