Awful staff. Everyone thinks people go to the ER to get pain meds, but when someone who NEVER goes to the doctor (much less a hospital) and I finally get him to go to the ER because he's in so much pain, they tell me it's just a pulled muscle... Ok so now I have a thousand dollar ER bill, and I still had to take him to my regular doctor (another $300 bill), to find out he has a sac around his heart which is causing all the pain. Ok guys. Medical school didn't do NOTHING FOR YALL. Get it together.

I have never been anywhere that everyone was so nice to me. Everyone helped everyone with their work and took such good care of me.
I had my knee replaced and wish I could remember everyone's names so I could compliment them all From Ken at the front desk(along with everyone who welcomes you and checks you in) to Kathy my pre registration nurse to all the nurses in same day surgery. Drew who took me to surgery, Dr Erin B my anesthesiologist to Dr Otto my surgeon to Jamey and Lisa my nurses. Gabbey my tech. I would like to give everyones name because there were so many more!

Showed up at the emergency room with severe chest pain and received the up most professionalism and kindness that I have ever experienced. Had several tests done within my stay and every person went above and beyond my expectations to make me feel priority. My stay was in room 303 and it surpasses Murfreesboro hospital ten times over hands down. 5 stars for sure. No doubt.

I had a great experience with the doctors and nurses at TriStar. They were caring and answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. I would not hesitate to have outpatient surgery there in the future.

I also want to give nurse Nicole kudos for her kind professional demeanor.

Rushed to discharge my husband, despite my insistence that he wasn't improved.
4 days later he was back in a hospital again (A DIFFERENT ONE).
Dont do it.
UPDATE; Interesting that there's an offer to discuss my concerns ex post facto. I complained at least 3 times DURING his stay without resolution. Married 43 years, I think I knew my husband well enough to recognize when something wasn't right.
Shame on you.

I was recently in the hospital for a few days. I have always had a dislike for hospitals until now. They treated me like family and showed amazing compassion for my well being. The nurses are top notch. The doctors are excellent too, but the nurses made be feel at home. Great facility and the food was good too

ER people are very good. But this is the 2nd time I have been admitted to the 4th floor. Most nurses do their job. But Shannon and Kirstie needs to be broken up. My heart Doctor works there. He came in and told me I could leave.. I waited and nurse comes in and tells me no orders for me to leave. I called the doctor. He told me that him and his nurse sat down and put the order in before they left the floor. I asked again and they laughed and told me they don't see any order, and once they see it, it could be up to 2 hours before I would be discharged. Dr. Cabel is a great doctor. Again I left with no discharge papers. These 2 nurses are terrible for this floor. Both times I left , it was these nurses.
Hate for this place to get ratings like this because of a few bad nurses. It is like a burden for them to do their job.

Just 2 days ago, my mother in law fell. She is in her 80's. She was hurting and went to ER, they sort of looked her over and sent her home. She went to St. Thomas in Murfreesboro, the next day. Admitted her and X-ray showed broken leg,1 cracked rib, several bruises. What is going on with a hospital that use to be great.

In the past 13 months, I have had four surgeries, two of which required hospital stays at TriStar StoneCrest. I did not give the best review for the last hospital stay because of two individual employees. However, this last stay, my care was excellent from admission, surgery, three days on the spine unit, and discharge. The staff were competent, and stayed on top of things. The pre-op and Recovery room staff are absolutely phenomenal...they get 5 stars! They work together like a well oiled machine, there is no my patient, or your patient, they all work together as a team, to assure the best care possible for all the patients. I am an R.N., and I would be proud to be part of a team like theirs!

My experience was great, everyone that I encountered treated me like I was the only patient. There was 1 nurse or tech not sure but she was very rude and i DID NOT LIKE HER! That didn't ruin my visit but could had. Everyone else picked up her slack, so I still had a good visit

Our birth experience was phenomenal. I especially want to recognize Sheila in Labor and Delivery. She walked me (a first-time, very nervous mom) through every step, answered every question, and was always patient. She was also teaching MTSU nursing student, Brook, through the whole thing as well! Both of them were just great. When we moved to Postpartum, Kelly from the nursery made us confident that our baby was well when she wasn t with us. We could not have asked for a better experience! We will definitely be returning for baby #2!

I gave a three because of the emergency department...

I gave a three because of the emergency department, I was seen on Sunday 11/29/2020 with extreme pain under my right rib. I also had been sick the week prior vomiting and very high fever. They did a cat scan and ultrasound of my gallbladder determined I did not have gallstones but had sludge. They told me they were sending me home and to follow up with a surgeon now keep in mind I thought I was going to die I was so sick and in so much pain! Nurse nick in the department of course had to remind me of my previous eating habits and to eat healthy so this doesn t happen any more. I actually snapped and told him I have lost 18 pounds in a week and had a couple of other choice words. I went home that night and cried for what seemed like hours because the pain was so extreme finally the pain meds they prescribed kicked in enough for me to finally sleep. I called the surgeon the next day and he got me in. Less than 24 hours after visiting the emergency department I was in extreme pain and starting to turn yellow. The surgeon admitted me that evening and scheduled my surgery next day started me on antibiotics via IV and actually got my pain under control. Once in the hospital the staff and nurses were very attentive and sweet. I was very pleased with my care while admitted and felt like I was a human that was sick. Unlike in the ER department I felt I was already prejudged as a fat junkie looking for pain meds by Nurse Nick!

Came in for abdominal pain and they took blood, urine, X-ray, and ultra sound. The ER was not full and I had checked in at 10:30pm. The nurse had said that the results doesn t take but an hour to come in and I am just now leaving at 2:45am. Reason why they took so long was because they forgot about me. The nurse came in and asked me if the Dr came in yet and i said no. She was taking out my needle and when it was out she pressed down on it. I don t know I guess this is what was taught but that was a first for me and that hurt! Then finally the Dr came in and said I m sorry i got carried away . What!? Just don t go there.... it s not worth it.

We have the best team of doctors, Dr.Sayed and Dr.Cabell are awesome at getting and keeping your health on track. Thank you Dr. Cabell for getting my blood pressure under control.
Dr.Sayed was able to get my husbands diabetes under control when he was critical, he gave us his cell number to communicate more easily in order to adjust his medication.
We are truly blessed to have him as our physician.

My wife went to the emergency room last night with a kidney stone and a kidney infection. They FORGOT to prescribe her antibiotic when they sent us home. They sure didn t forget the oxycodone though. When I called asking for the antibiotic prescription they didn t send it in until 5 minutes before all the pharmacies closed. When I called to ask what was going on the nurse said verbatim well, she made it this far. She can make it til morning. Malpractice if you ask me.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! WRECKLESS AND DANGEROUS CARE! I have generally always been pleased with the care my family has received through the ER, to the point I travel past another hospital and drive out of my way (30 miles) to go to StoneCrest....BUT Wednesday I went for what I thought was a dislocated collar bone. Long story short, I left being prescribed a medication that upon research (thank God I research medicines before taking them) had moderate to severe warnings against TWO of my preexisting health conditions, and SEVERE WARNINGS FOR INTERACTIONS WITH TWO OF MY DAILY MEDICATIONS! Had I not done my research, I could possibly be in critical condition, or worse, DEAD. Upon reflection, I realized that NOT ONCE did anyone ask me about preexisting conditions or what medicines I am currently taking. And to boot, I was told the lump was a "sebaceous cyst" which is a pimple, which was laughed at by the physician I followed up with. Instead I am having a biopsy of what could likely be a tumor deep within cartilage, which could cleary NEVER be considered a pimple. Although everyone was kind and I was seen promptly, I will not be back, nor will my three children. They could have killed me.

My mother is currently a patient waiting to be discharged today. We are profoundly disappointed with her service as a patient there. She is a bariatric black woman and was treated with the utmost disrespect and disregard. Her staff that should have been caring for her lack compassion, empathy and regard for leaving her feeling dignified. She asked for water, and instead of being given water from the nutrition room with ice, she was given water from the sink in her room and was told it was all the same water. They couldn t wash her up with her body wash, she was told she was too heavy for the Hoyer lift that others were using with her, nobody would lotion her legs while they were itchy ........pure ridiculousness. I m sure there are great workers in this facility that provides outstanding customer care, but it s really unfortunate that we were not graced with their care in the ICU.

The care I received was excellent, from the ER to discharge. The nurses and techs on both wings of the 4th floor were some of the best I have ever had. The were very caring and took care of my every need. I was very pleased with both Drs Zimmerman and Inman also. I hope I don t have to come back but if I do I know I will be well cared for.

Dealing with billing at this facility is an absolute nightmare. You have to go through multiple transfers, menus, disconnections and very long wait times. You may have to call back more than once and explain that "I just want to pay my bill." One would think they like money, yet they make it as difficult as possible. If I didn't pay my bill, they would certainly be more interested in talking to and threatening me. Go to St. Thomas if you want professional service.

Funny story hours before I went to this energency ...

Funny story hours before I went to this energency room, I asked a friend why she didnt take another, who, she thought, needed energency service, to Vanderbilt instead of this hospital as it was in the same city as we reside. Her answer? "I would not take my dog to that hospital." About an hour after return home from visit from that sick friend at Vanderbilt I slipped and fell, cut myself, and went to Stonecrest. The lobby was empty and I was seen swiftly; which was a great thing. While in my room, I saw my current weight and blood pressure from a monitor and as neither was taken on my present visit, I assume the stats was from a visit from almost 2 yrs ago for severe medication allergic reaction. Further, because I have HTN I am always interested in my levels and I didnt ask 1 but 2 nurses; 1 of which stitched me and the other who was to assist him and both skirted around it. When I came home and read the discharge paperwork, I realized why i was ignored; repeatedly. Needless to say; I have gone from excitement of a nearby hospital to THIS and I sure did give it a chance again and again with no hope and didn't get any.

The hospital (non ER) check in process is easy and efficient.
Everyone I met in the imaging department was so nice. Lisa in mammogram was especially nice and good at her job, both very important for that dreaded test. Amanda in ultrasound was the best! We had good conversation, she was so friendly, and even remembered me with a week+ having gone by.
It is so important to have the best and friendliest staff, I think especially in that department. All of those tests are so dreaded and uncomfortable!
The Doctors I met were also excellent

I was recently at Stonecrest After a fall. Could not walk on either leg and I had obvious swelling and bruising on my want a cu after a fall. Could not walk on either leg and I had obvious swelling and bruising on my one ankle. I was taken back to a room, and the nurse said she would be right back. My side rails were never put up, my call it was 3 feet behind me hanging on the wall. I m obviously a fall risk, and I could not walk. It took over an hour to get some ice for my ankle, And when I did it was not even frozen. It was half water, and barely cold. I saw my nurse twice. Never had a pillow, I was not asked by my nurse if I wanted a blanket. The x-ray techs great. They came in to take pictures. The nursing supervisor came by later and asked me if I needed anything, and she got me a blanket.

This hospital is a JOKE. I wish 0 stars was an option. I came to the ER with a severe kidney infection. The ER nurses were great and had me feeling back to 100% in a few hours. The ER nurses suggested that I stay overnight for fluids, nausea meds, & antibiotics. They moved me to the hospital stay area. For 3 hours the nurses would not give me any medicine because they couldn t see that the ER had ordered any . So after leaving the ER feeling 100% I was back to a 102.9 fever and vomiting. Even with the fever and vomiting the nurses still couldn t find my medication orders in the system. The male nurse clearly had no clue how to work the computer system. My other complaint is that I tried to order dinner(4:30) at 3:30pm. When I called to the nutritionist to place my order they said that my nurses hadn t given them a meal plan for me (what a shocker). I called my nurse to make her aware of this right after my conversation with the nutritionist. The nurse said she would fix it, she didn t, so I missed dinner. I will NEVER come back to this hospital again & I will definitely be advising my peers to do the same. 0 stars.

After two experiences in 2 months I feel qualified to comment. Our first was inpatient and we were very pleased with the staff and care. The only glitch was the discharge instructions but that's on the Doctor, not nursing staff. Back in ER last week and had exceptional care. ER Doctor Golden was above and beyond any other ER Doctor we have ever had.

I had major back surgery(they entered throughthe front and the back). The last 2 days I was in the hospital the nurses had me walk to the bathroom by myself and were late delivering my pain medication by at least an hour after I asked for it when it was due. I was due respiratory therapy but only received it twice the whole time I was there and was supposed to receive it twice a day. The nurses removed my oxygen because my oxygen level kept dipping and sending the sensors off and they did not want to keep coming and checking on me. I was not breathing deep enough.

I have been thru the ER, ICU, and post-op floor care with the best staff around. As a previous RN (1976-94), I look for excellent bedside care by housekeeping staff, social services, advocacy, meal support, lab, radiology, aides, nurses, and doctors. The whole staff is committed to giving the best care and opportunity for recovery, whatever the ailment. I had one unsatisfactory disagreement with one MD, not part of regular staff. And one RN did not properly clean off the entry ports into my IV before administering medication, but these are rare exceptions to the rule. I found no battles to wage in order to get the best of care. Other family members had similar experiences with Stonecrest. I would highly recommend Stonecrest over Vanderbilt or any other hospital southeast of Nashville.

We went to the ER about 8pm last night because my husband was haing severe abdominal pain. We waited for 1.5 hrs to be triaged and then finally got into a room. They were not actually triaging people based on why they were there, they were going by arrival time. There were people with cold/flu symptoms being triaged before chest pain(waited 1 hr before ekg etc was done),abdominal pain(waited 1.5 hrs before anything was done),and shortness of breath.(waited 30 mins beofre anything was done). I have been to this ER multiple times and have never had this bad of an experience. They determined that my husband had a gallbladder attack and needed an ultrasound but no one was available at 11 pm to do one. And of course cannot have one done today due to everyone needing a Dr referral. The one they referred us to does not take our insurance. The nurse he had was a little on the condescending side regarding my husband's fear about needles. I will not be back, I will drive the extra 30 mins to get to another hospital. I am thankful that it was not his appendix because it would have ruptured in the itme it took for them to even triage him. I realize they were very busy but that is the reason why triage exists in the first place.

Don't bother going there unless your bleeding to death. Your discharge papers will state that you possibly could have an infection, if your pain persists to come back, so they can keep charging you. Dr never came in until the end to tell me the tests came back fine. And there is nothing wrong. Still severe pain after 2 days, deciding to go to ER. Another patient there also had same problem and ended up at another emergency room where the took her gallbladder out. So BEWARE!! They do NOT care about your health there!!!

My father was admitted into the ICU for respirator...

My father was admitted into the ICU for respiratory distress and his doctor made the call to put him on life support. When I arrived I asked the nurse what his condition was exactly and she informed me that my fathers liver was entirely cirrhosed. Her exact words to me were that my father had drank himself to death and that he would not make it through the night. I went to see him again later that night and a new nurse was monitoring him so I asked him if he could explain to me in detail how my father ended up on life support and I wanted to discuss the condition of his liver since the previous nurse had told me he had no living tissue left. The head nurse that I spoke to said that no one had completed scans of his liver and there would be no way for anyone to make that call. I was completely appalled. As someone in the healthcare profession I would never speak to a family member the way the first nurse spoke to me. We have guidelines on how to break news to family members and saying he drank himself to death is the most inappropriate thing I have ever encountered. I can only pray that this poor nurse never encounters anyone in healthcare that treats her the way she has treated my family. I have learned in my years that working in healthcare means that you need to learn to control your feelings and emotions even when you ve had an awful day. This nurse clearly is incapable of doing such and I would recommend she not continue a career anywhere close to the healthcare profession.

Extremely long wait of four hours before admitted to a room in the emergency room. Once there, blood was taken for testing and it was another two hours before seeing the doctor and her assigning care. The doctor did successfully treat my illness and I was feeling much better the next day. I was there from 1 PM until 11 PM. It was extremely busy that day but the nurses were kind and efficient. The doctors are competent and caring. I do highly recommend.

We took my 1 year old granddaughter into the stone...

We took my 1 year old granddaughter into the stonecrest emergency room Sunday May 1,2016 at approximately 1:15 p.m. we were referred there by the little clinic in Kroger on Sam Ridley pkwy . My granddaughter had a fever of 104 my husband had to come to the ER to bring us Motrin to try to break the fever as we were offered nothing there. They called is back to triage after about an hour then sent us to xray after that we were ushered back out into the lobby to wait . we waited there until 5:30 p.m. and we're still not seen there was a gentleman there that had been there since noon and was still waiting. We watched as the ER lobby emptied out 3 times and were still not called back. What is actually considered an emergency in this ER ? The staff was exceedingly rude to my daughter when she inquired why it was taking so long the baby is sick and hungry she told them and they loudly told her she would have to wait her turn. I can't imagine what the excuse could be to treat people this way. I am going to call the administrator of the hospital asap and voice my concerns. We were never called back and finally left at 5:35 p.m. my daughter made an appt with the pediatrician for today however that does not excuse the experience that we had yesterday. If the staff doesn't like their job then they shouldn't have that job. Obviously most people who go to an ER are not just there for fun they have a genuine problem and if this is how they are treated at Stonecrest it is sad. We will never come back to Stonecrest and I am sending out emails to the local news stations about the way we were treated. We were extremely worried about our child and we were treated as if it was no big deal. My granddaughter is on an antibiotic for an ear infection we were concerned that it could be an allegox reaction to the antibiotic as this is what happened to her mother at 15 months old and she is now deaf so you see we weren't asking for special present just to be treated with care.

I will never come back to this hospital. First off, the wait time that was posted on the site was 9 minutes. We have now been waiting in the lobby over 5 HOURS! And no, there isn't a lot of people in the waiting room. So, if you have a pregnant daughter that is throwing up blood about every 10 minutes, don't come to this ER! This is terrible! My daughter is 18 weeks pregnant, throwing up blood, cramping and dehydrated and this lobby has cleared out twice and here we sit!

I was not taken care of while I was there. I was left with tachycardic heart rhythms as well as not being able to breath. I was told after 3 NEGATIVE covid tests I still couldn t have breathing treatments, and I was also put up on the covid floor with all the rest of the positive patients after I had 3 NEGATIVE tests! The lack of care that they gave me winded up with me in the ICU where I went into VTACH! The doctor wanted to put me on a vent and all the while the floor staff and respiratory couldn t figure out how to get me my breathing treatments in a timely manner. It also took them over 72 hours to give me a Tylenol for the insane headache that I had. My oxygen levels were down in the low 80s and I was never offered any oxygen. I m surprised I made it out of there alive!

Little brother had an anxiety attack at school and the ambulance came and took him to the ER. He sat in there for a couple hours with absolutely NO HELP. Then we were charged for a ridiculous price for it! For nothing! They also don't take our health insurance anymore. TriStar in Murfreesboro is a lot better but it's a shame that it's pretty far from where I live. Stonecrest should do better. Thanks for nothing. This happened a couple years back.

Dr. Joyner is an excellent surgeon, in my opinion, based on my own experience, and a really good man. All of the other MDs, nurses, therapists and technicians with whom I came in contact during my 1.5 day stay at StoneCrest Medical Center exhibited a very high level of professionalism and concern for their patients. I've been recovering well since leaving the hospital and have experienced far less pain than I expected after reading the experiences of others who had undergone the same shoulder procedure as I.

My only negative experience probably has more to do with my own nature rather than StoneCrest. After waking from my 1000 AM surgery at 1 PM that same day, I never managed to get any sleep until leaving the next day in the afternoon. Between the IV filling my bladder, the tangle of lines, wires and pneumatic tubes holding me hostage and interruptions for needed medical checks, I could never fully slip into a sound state of sleep. Once I returned home, I retreated to my bedroom onto my remote controlled recliner, with lights, devices, and drinking water perfectly positioned at my fingertips, and slept for many hours. I'm still sleeping well each night without feeling the need to take pain pills.

Thanks for listening,
Phil Cherry

Absolutely Horrible! I was there March 16-17. I have detailed my experience on your Facebook page. When I asked who my doctor was I was told they don t come down here . After i insisted for hours a Dr. Bennett finally came down at around 9:30 am after I had been there all night. He looked like they had to wake him up and acted like it too. His coat was buttoned crooked and he treated me like i was a waste of his time. He even said, he didn t have time to mess with me . A complete @ss. I had been asking to see a doctor since around 5:30 am. Of all the folks that came to the ER, I was the only one left there through the night. Two weeks later and I still have flashbacks of this place. No one would tell me anything. The morning nurse finally wrote the name of my doctor on a board in my room at around 8:30 am. There was only 1 nurse, C that treated me as if I was human. She is the ONLY star in this place. Negative 5 stars! Complete train wreck! To hear a doctor tell me he didn t have time to mess with me is really appalling.
