I began investing with this company earlier this year with a loan I got despite the exorbitant interest rates. because I was hoping to obtain a nice return on my investment. I guess I was mistaken since I did not conduct sufficient research before connecting with them. This situation made me depressed, and it was truly a nightmare that I would not wish on anyone. Avoid Treadstone at all costs. I was originally happy with their service, although I could tell once my loan was prepped the attention I received dropped off precipitously.

The major issue, however, is that my loan was quickly sold to another company, LoanCare. Twice in three months LoanCare has withdrawn my payment from my account, did not apply it to my loan, then when I called blamed me for the issue. Both times they eventually realized it was some sort of system glitch. Neither time did they apologize and both times they were exceptionally rude. I seriously regret having gone through Treadstone.

My husband and I worked with Jim Polakovich. We were recommended to him by friends and couldn't have been happier. Jim answered all our questions and would run the numbers on potential houses we wanted to purchase to help us make a decision. He made buying our first house easy and stress free.

This was our first time buying a home, and I had always heard what a nightmare the process was, but Carolyn made the process seamlessly smooth and enjoyable. We looked into other institutions for our loan, and we got approved for a higher loan amount at a lower interest rate through Treadstone Funding. The process of getting a loan and whatnot went quickly and efficiently, especially for my first time buying a house. I was lucky enough to receive some special gifts (gift card and a cookies by design basket) from Brendan, who I worked with. I am very grateful for their services!

I worked with Treadstone on the purchase of my first home, and refinance of a home. In both instances I was met by positive, patient, and knowledgeable people to help with the process. The process itself was very efficient. I was surprised as how quickly everything came together since financing a home can seem like a daunting process.

Very much appreciative of the Treadstone team.

A couple things I was not happy about.

#1. Our pre-approval rate apparently was not locked when we first shopped here like I was led to believe. Come time for the estimated costs, my interest rate was almost a full 1.75% higher than expected. We were able to negotiate this down by comparing numbers with other lenders eventually but I was stunned.

#2. You are forwarded to multiple people within the agency. With this comes mistakes and they are never in your benefit. We had an issue where out first estimated closing was all situated. After inspections and coming into closing, we were about to sign another estimation document when I realized the closing costs were another $4,000 higher than they should have been. They never gave me a great explanation for this other than they made a mistake.

Conclusion:
Their customer service is good, they respond quickly, and it is nice to be able to go in and look over the documents with a person face to face in order to get better explanation. This being said, you NEED to have a family member or friend go over all the paperwork with you. Double and triple check the figures because the mistake will never be in your favor and I have no doubt I would have paid 4 grand extra along with having a higher interest rate if I hadn't done the things I did.

The most recent interaction was for a refinance, and Danielle at Treadstone initiated the conversation. She suspected that we might be interested in taking advantage of the lower rates, and we ended up saving $250 per month.
