It was my first time getting serviced by them , they kept my car for 4 days and it was only suppose to be overnight, a service rep went to autozone himself to buy the supplies to put on my Lexus which I was under the impression and so was my wallet for the price of the basic things I needed was coming from the lexus dealership literally across the street but no autozone sufficed for them, long story short I ended up not paying for the work they did, and was told as soon as the parts got in they would call me to install the lexus parts free of charge. I've yet to get a call I waited over a month to post this just in case they kept their word but obviously they didn't.

My experience with Toyota in El Cajon was excellent. I received prompt service and everything was explained to me. I was given an option to be driven home or wait at the service dept. for my car to be ready. The facility was very clean and adequate seating for every one. They have Wi-Fi and computer room for those choosing to wait. They even have a play area for children. I was very impressed. My charges and what was done was also explained to me. I would definitely recommend this service dept to everyone.

When Nelson approached me and we started talking, I knew he was going to get me my dream truck! If your looking for the best car dealer, go see him!!! I've been to a couple Toyota dealers in San Diego in the past and have had bad experiences, ever since I got my Tacoma here I just don't go anywhere else even if there's 3 other dealers in my way to this one just for a service. Keep up the good job guys!!! Ohh and if you guys need a salesman make sure you go with Victor and Vasheer(Sorry if misspelled) best finance specialist!!!

The manager waisted our time we where ready do buy a truck. Then he got a better offer so he told our sales man to try and defer us to another vehicle even though we were there first. Very rude never ever would I recommend buying a vehicle there.

I came in for waranty work and Lance our service advisor was qucik and efficient. I have had other dealships make excuses and converted what should be warranty work into a considerable charge to get our car out. Nothing like that at this dealship. Toyota of El Cajon has earned my business. I will be back here again and again.

If I could give Toyota of El Cajon 6 stars I would without hesitation. I have nothing but praise for Ryan Darby. Ryan listened to what I wanted and delivered 10 fold. I live over 100 miles away from the dealership. Ryan's hard work in getting me the car I wanted and the deal I was thrilled with, was well worth the drive. My friend who happens to be a car broker couldn't even come close to the deal Ryan got for me. So if you're thinking about getting a Toyota/Scion don't waste your time. Get in touch with Ryan and he'll take really good care of you. No pressure at all just a really great experience.

First time visiting this dealership. We were having car trouble and were in the area. We have our business advertised on our vehicle. We were given a quote of more than $7,000 dollars for the repairs. That is a hard blow to a small, family owned business trying to make it day-to-day. We were seriously considering buying a new vehicle which we need but we're just not ready for financially.

We took the car to another Toyota dealership and were given a quote $900. They inspected all the same issues. $900 was still a lot for us but much more palatable.

I'm super disappointed in Toyota of El Cajon. We feel like just because we were a business we were trying to be taken advantage of. I will be writing a letter to Toyota corporate. I have been a Toyota customer for decades and after this experience we most likely will be going to another brand when it is time to replace our vehicle.

This review is on the low quality costumer service provided by Lance. I wish I can grade him below zero. NO respect no work ethics.
we took our car to do oil change service. Lance informed us that the vehicle is due for 30000miles service check, We politely told him that we needed to check because he was asking us to spend $200 for this service which we thought was free since the car is leased. Then he goes like yea service is not free you have to pay for it . In a very condescending manner.
We told him we d like to consider oil change only for today. Then he prints out the service paper and wants us to sign on $70 for oil change. We knew we could do it cheaper elsewhere. So, again we politely declined, his reaction was to trash the paper and go again service is not free .
No one is expecting free service, but also reasonable people expect to play reasonable amounts of $ for basic services like oil changes. But I guess with Lance nothing is free including polite costumer service

It's 3/4/16. Went in last week for a 45,000 mile check up. Had purchased tires 2 days before and added an alignment. Since I have asthma, I'm very happy that they check the cabin filters and change them as necessary. They have a huge, lovely waiting area with 2 large screen TV's, a bistro type area with free water, coffee's and other beverages, and a nice office area with Wi-Fi where you can work while you wait for your car. Love that my car arrives freshly washed! Excellent service. People are all friendly, helpful and kind. I noticed someone writing about their car buying experience here. Mine was in 1/2013. I had stopped at another Toyota dealership twice before and felt unsure about them. Stopped in here just to ask a question, and drove out in a "new" used car with multiple warranties. Very happy here!

He was very thorough and informative while being friendly and making the process enjoyable. His manager Marwan, also assisted me and was equally exceptional. I purchased my vehicle from this location a few years ago and have been coming for regular service checks. The last 2 times (including this time) have been very unfortunate to say the least.

I was hoping to take care of my next service and have a tire fixed which is covered under the agreement I paid for, which was extra for situations such as this, and was turned down for coverage. I took out my agreement to reread the fine print and both parties agreed to tire replacement if it is needed, and was offered a sale instead. I will be following up with Toyota why they did this.

What a fantastic experience! I cannot stress enough how smooth and pleasant it was to purchase my new red 2014 Scion xB at this dealership. After a terrible experience at Ford and Mazda of Orange, I was extremely wary when I saw the great deals Toyota of El Cajon was offering on their 2014 Scions. Salesperson Hiwa was so friendly to work with on the phone, and let me text photos of my car and CarMax quote to his phone so we could get the numbers worked out before I made the two hour drive from Riverside to El Cajon. He said he would match the CarMax quote which definitely was a time saver, and he sent photos of the car to ensure that it was still on the lot. He promised me the 0.9% APR promotion as well as the discounted vehicle price on the website, and he did NOT disappoint! I was so scared to drive all that distance in case they tried something shady once I was there (which the dealer in Orange did to me the night before) but everything Hiwa said was exactly as he said it. We ended up working with his nephew, salesperson Zack, while we were there and he was every bit as friendly and honest as his uncle Hiwa. They followed through with matching the CarMax trade quote, the APR promotion, and the discounted price promotion with no hassle, no pressure, and no rude sales tactics. The experience we had at Toyota/Scion of El Cajon was worth every minute of the drive from Riverside, and I can't say enough good things about Hiwa and Zack and the friendly atmosphere of the whole place! Thanks so much guys!

The only reason I went to Toyota of El Cajon was because it was the closest dealer that could replace the recalled airbags. The reason I gave it four stars was I had to wait an hour longer than originally estimated.
With all this being said I can tell you it is a beautiful, modern facility on the west end of El Cajon. The waiting area is huge with two big screen TVs to watch and social distancing is in effect. They have a well stocked parts department along with a Toyota parts boutique.
If you are looking for a Toyota car or truck, or need your Toyota serviced, this is the place you want to go in East County

I had been searching for a very specific 4Runner and had a great experience at Toyota of El Cajon and ended up purchasing my first new car here.
I had been to several other dealers and got the run around for almost an hour before getting the price finally. I originally skipped over going to the El Cajon location since they didn't have the car I wanted on the lot. But eventually I reached out to them and was connected with Ryan Darby. He did some research and was able to get the exact car I wanted transferred over to them. He worked with me on the price to where I was very comfortable and was never pushy.
When I went to purchase the car all the staff was friendly and easy going, not pushy like other places I have been. Ryan helped me link my phone to the car, set up everything based on my preferences and ensured everything was to my satisfaction before I left.
I had a wonderful experience here and will recommend it to everyone I know looking to purchase a Toyota.

Sometimes maintenance takes a while, so make an appointment for faster service. TODAY I had a 9:30 appointment for battery change. After jumping my car it still wouldn't start so I called my Road-side Service to tow me in, he had a more power battery and his jump worked better. I was over an hour late, but I was in and out in less than 45min. SO THANKFULL!

I bought my 2006 Highlander Hybrid from Toyota of El Cajon way back in 2006. Ten years and 222,760 miles later, the car is still running strong.
Recently, my dashboard indicator lights lit up like Christmas: the VSC system and several other lights: ABS, brake, traction control, every light except the check engine light. I live near Sacramento now and took the car to the local dealer. Diagnosis: the Brake ABS actuator was bad. Worse than that, the price to replace it: $2,500. Yikes!
I called Jose Villegas, my former service guy at Toyota of El Cajon, and asked him if this was a fair price. Jose said, wait a minute, let me look it up. Jose discovered Toyota has warranty enhancements that made this a covered problem, regardless of mileage.
I called the local dealer service department back and lo and behold, Jose is correct. One phone call to Jose saved me $2,500! It's like Christmas in July!
Before I moved away two years ago, I used Toyota of El Cajon service for all my Toyota's needs. I've heard of dealer horror stories, but that was never my experience at Toyota of El Cajon. They were always honest about what was going on with my car, always quoted prices up front, never any hidden costs.
In summary, I love my Toyota, and I highly endorse Toyota of El Cajon's service department, especially Jose Villegas! Thank you!

Bought our Toyota here. The service shop recommend a lot of things we didn't need. Now I was a mechanic for many years in addition to working on cars as a hobby all my adult life, so I know the game. They were definitely trying to get one over on my wife. We will continue to use them for the remainder of our free warranty service but for the stuff we need to pay for we will be going else where.

He didnt even looked back".

I bought my 2017 Tacoma there because of the people and the "No pressure" atmosphere. I got the truck I wanted and they helped me find it in the lot. First services are done on it and it runs great. First recall on the truck and no problems were found. They do all the little stuff that makes me feel like they actually care about me even after the sale.

I had to make an unscheduled appointment, I had issues with the battery, which required me to leave the car overnight for battery load testing? Shawn Kelley from the service Dept. provided the up most and "TRULY EXCEPTIONAL" service. I also used the on sight service Enterprise Rent-A-Car and was very pleased with the service from Aaron Williams. I purchased the Venza new in 2011(just turned 43,000 miles) from the Toyota of EC and have maintained all recommended services. I have been pleased with the employees, from the receptionist answering the phone to the Service Department are all "TRULY EXCEPTIONAL" Thank you!!!!

Everyone always dread purchasing a car and all the hassle one must endure to obtain their car from price negotiation to finance paperwork. Prior to going to Toyota of El Cajon, we went to Toyota of Carlsbad where we received no help at all and the sales team just starred at us as were we looking at the Rav4s. The team at Toyota of El Cajon were exceptional they made us feel like part of the family and were openly communicative on their inventory and pricing. Victor who was part of the sales team took care of us from the beginning to end making sure we were getting the most out of our car. The most boring portion of buying a car is the paper work, but Tan made it bearable as we laughed the entire time signing. The team at Toyota of El Cajon has treated us like family or at least really close friends where it is not dreadful to buy a car.

Great service and nice customer service center- could camp out there all day! But the check in/out process is a bit lengthy. It's a good value and important to take your Toyota there to catch any recalls and get an honest assessment of car needs.
