my car runs great, found a problem and fixed it, cost was OK, and that the labor cost was included. and I had my mailer coupon and got a better price. I like the employees too.

Pretty cold salesman and no interest in selling us car
The service department has an amazing waiting room. If you need to wait for your vehicle while its being serviced you aren't stuck sitting in a metal chair staring at a Parts Counter. Instead there are 2 widescreen TVs with couch seating. Or if you prefer to have a snack they have pub style tables and chairs where you can eat the complementary coffee and doughnuts they serve in a small little self serve cafe. I've never been in the back but it looks like there is an internet cafe, I take advantage of the wireless internet on my smart phone. If you have kids there is mini tv theater station that plays cartoons and a strange pirate ship with a jungle gym in the middle of the showroom.
As for service, our service adviser David Anderson always manages to get our car in and out for service on time. He regularly follows up and gives us a status report while the mechanics are servicing the vehicle. He accurately estimates times needed for service and we never feel left in the dark because he always checks in and returns phone calls promptly. You couldn't ask for better service.
Service is quick and thorough. Prices are reasonable and staff is great at problem solving.
Went in about two weeks ago with my family to find a Corolla for me to lease. We found the perfect choice! We were very happy with the car. Our salesman Jose was great and I appreciated the fact that he was bilingual so my dad could talk with him. Jose from sales and Elie from financing are the reason I m giving more than 1 star. We put down half of the downpayment but we had forgotten our checkbook and the salesman & financier said it was fine if we could bring the check for the other half of the payment the day after. Our financier informed us he wouldn t be there the following day but he said to just give the check to any financier available. I came in the next day with the check and Danny from financing received me with a very demanding attitude, practically saying that I had to bring another document. His attitude was very peculiar and made me feel uncomfortable. No one ever informed that I had to do bring anything else other than the check, so I felt very confused and I told Danny this. Fortunately I was able to provide such document electronically from my phone but I completely did not like the way I was received and treated by Danny. After this, I think that in three years, at the end of the lease, I will just drop off the car and go to another a Toyota dealership where I know I won t be treated that way.
Vincent was helpful in showing around the car. But when it came to talking about leasing options, the manager started playing hardball. Who would want to stay, let alone talk, when you are just told in one line that take this or your are free to go away? Atleast listen and talk like a professional. Did not expect this at Toyota!!

I always service here, has been great. Except the last few tire rotations I have had to replace several lug nuts. 8 this last time and 8 the time before. Gets expensive and this hasn't happened before. I've serviced 2 toyotas here for over 10 years . Dont know why this is happening so frequently.

I absolutely love my new RAV4 Hybrid. My favorite feature is how it automatically puts the hand breaks on and ofcourse how much money I save on fuel! The customer service I received from Victor Aceves was phenomenal! He went above and beyond! Walked me through the whole process in a very professional manner. I never met anyone so thorough and was very knowledgeable about my new car. He patiently sat me in the car and explained in detail every function and feature my car is capable of. I cannot be more happy with my new RAV4 and the customer care I received from Victor. Jesse from service is awesome! He is very helpful and kind. He went out of his way to make sure I get an accessory for my car. I appreciate you guys! Definitely returning for service.
As a person who has bought 3 previous vehicles Ive never left a dealership more satisfied then I have after visiting Toyota of El Cajon. From the beginning to the end the experience was amazing. Our salesmen Jose Mendoza made us feel comfortable with the decision to purchase a new car, and we did not feel we were getting scammed as with most dealerships. My girlfriend Alma received an amazing deal on her new 2014 Corolla and got top dollar for her trade in, much more then she was expecting. Every employee at Toyota of El Cajon was very nice and friendly including Tan our finance specialist. Not only were the people amazing but the facility is by far the best Ive had the pleasure to do business at. They have multiple seating areas,tvs, games for children and a giant pirate ship to entertain the youngsters. And not to mention the coffee was top notch. If anyone is in the market to buy a car I would recommend Toyota of El Cajon and specifically ask for Jose Mendoza.
So I had a took my 2001 Corolla to this location on 6 Oct 2018 to get some routine inspection done. I bought the car recently and wanted to see how much work I needed to put into it. I used this $29.95 coupon that they sent in the mail since I had my 2015 Camry serviced there a few times and we had bought a used 2006 Accord from them also. Mark Anthony was my service guy. He was rather annoyingly insistent on selling me an oil change even though I wasn't interested in that service. He did however, give me an on-the-spot appointment noting that I would have been there all day without one.
Prior to this the lady on the phone said I should be good as a walk-in as long as I got there before 2 pm. I got there around 11:30 am. Now I do understand how these places can be, so waiting for around 2 hours was never really an issue.
The car was making a knocking sound coming from the left side of the engine as you look at it. I told Mark and his associates that it was just the steering pump pulley that needed tightening. They insisted that it was something else though they couldn't say what exactly.
This morning (7 Oct 2018) I took my wrench and 17 mm socket and proceeded to tighten said pulley. I let the car run for a few minutes and also took it for a drive. Guess what folks? The knocking sound is no more.
To top it all off, when I opened the hood of the car this morning I noticed that the cover for one of my fuse boxes was missing. Nothing more than the technicians took it off and forgot to replace it. Now I will have to go to a junk yard in the hopes of finding a cover that will fit.
Dealerships are either a hit or a miss and on this occasion, they missed.
Went in for an oil change !! Lol came out with a new car . The wait time was Ridiculous 3 hours so yes of course I had time to look at cars !! I try booking ahead of time!! never allowed me in the past 2 weeks I just did a walk in took my car never thought I would be there for 3 hours.

I took my car in for a new tire when I had a flat tire. They had the replacement and installed it.
So why did they also change the settings for my headlights and the interior lighting??? I didn't realize tthey made those changes until night fall when I had no lights on automatically. Really POOR!

Everytime I visit Toyota El Cajon for my scheduled maintenance, I am greeted with great customer service and car service. Every staff member is so nice and helpful. The place is always clean and they even offer free coffee and donuts. This will continue to be my go-to place for my car maintenance if I stay in East County.
Our experience here has been amazing. Mazen was on it from the start. We built our 4runner online and sent it to El Cajon Toyota and within the hour we got a response that they located us a vehicle. Previous to this, we were working with Toyota in Poway and it took them 3 weeks (with little to no communication) to not even do what Mazen was able to do in a few minutes. We had no doubt in our minds that this was where we were going to buy our car from. We have had nothing but the best and most friendly service here. My husband brings his toyota here for service as well and has never had any issues. From the moment you walk in, you know you are being genuinely welcomed and your service is valued and respected. They do take a little long for scheduled service. It can sometimes take an hour and 20 mins to an hour and 45 mins for a scheduled oil change. But they re staff on site and their shuttle drivers are amazing & super nice.
I have had extraordinary great service from Toyota of El Cajon personnel Simo Vukotich. Every time I take my vehicles in to Simo Vukotich, he keeps me informed and just gets my services done in a fast and hassle free manner! Simo Vukotich is one of the main reasons that I keep going to Toyota of EC. The parts department Daren is always efficient as well.
