Driving range is good but crazy golf right next to the kitchen extractor wasn't, smells horrible.

We called up to book and was informed we didn't have to as "it wasn't that busy today" when we arrived, there was nowhere to park and aboit 45 minute wait. Gentleman at the desk had an "i dont care" attitude. Didnt make eye contact until at the end of talking at us. 2nd desk, the lady was very polite and inviting. When we finally made it to the desk to pay, the lady serving us spoke very quietly and then looked as if she was getting annoyed as we had to ask politely for her to repeat herself several times. We sat and ordered food and drinks and out waitress was bubbly and very polite. The text messaging service was confusing, we received our text to go to a bay ( we wasn't informed which bay) ended up in a bay upstairs (number 40), set up and then 5 minutes into our 1st game, relieved a text to tell us that bay 9 was set up and ready for us. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Overall had a nice day out. I just feel that there could be a feel little things improved to make the overall experience that bit better.

Great fun but had to wait 3 hours for a bay after a 45min drive. Just a shame there's no booking system other than turning up and joining a 47 long queue.

Once you get to your bay it's all good. Everything before needs a lot of improvement. Suggestions guys: get an app for ordering in the restaurant-ish area, too slow and little attention to customers. Save some labour by not having the crazy amount of bouncers doing nothing and by having the app. When we walked to our bay we walked into 4 having a discussion about work and a customer on another bay. Take bookings only, there's lots of confusion at the door and people being unhappy with the process in place. You will not lose money, in my experience I will spend more at the bay then I will waiting in the restaurant to get it. Great place shame about these things and the lack of staff happiness.

Much prefer this one over the one in Surrey, very spacious, good food and a great way to spend time with friends and family.

Great fun for all family s couple, fair prices for the golf and food!! Food was also good and the hot chocolate is to die for!!!

Always a winner for anyone at any age and ability. They show the football, serve food and drink and is relatively cheap, great day out.

Good experience. A little pricy. Biggest issue is the waiting time. If you go there, regardless if you book in advance or walk-in, expect to wait at least a minimum of an hour.

Good covid measures. Fun activity. Good price with discount.

50 minutes waiting to get 3 Pepsi and 1 sparkling water. At the end received only 2 Pepsi and no water...

Absolutely appealing service.

I don't really like golf and am certainly not any good at it. However, this was surprisingly enjoyable. I'm not sure of the long term appeal except for golf heads, but as a one off and certainly for a party it works. Their group doughnut platter was outstanding.

Expect a 2 and a half hour wait and poor customer service by management When we arrived at 17.00 on Sunday, we were 21st in a queue to play which was fine. We sat at the bar, ordered food and drinks. After an hour we had moved from 21st place to 16th so I spoke to the receptionist (who was lovely and very helpful) to be told that the person in 1st place had already waited 2 and a half hours and hadn't yet started playing. I asked to speak to the manager.
I asked the manager that on arrival, why they wouldn't inform their customers that there is approximately a 2+ hour wait to which he responded 'it's a bad representation of us and that we don't give waiting times because we can t actually be sure. I responded with at peak times, especially on a Sunday evening, surely you would have an idea of how long your customers could expect to wait and again he came up with how it was a bad representation of the company but completely contradicted himself by saying 'in future you can call up to ask how long the wait is' Which I did and was told that I couldn t pre book either. I informed him that I had driven from Kingston in Surrey to play, I ve already waited an hour, I can t wait another hour and half as I have to drive home to get back for a decent time on a Sunday night. His response was Well there is a course in Surrey. The conversation went on, he shrugged and basically gave the impression that this isn t my problem.
It s a shame because the food was nice, the bar staff friendly as were the receptionists but the manager was rude with seemingly zero customer service experience. He was concerned about 'the bad representation of the company' than wasting customers time on their weekends. Shocking!

It is good once you get on a bay. But and its a big BUT... Top Golf you need to update your system regarding booking a bay and boy any wait time over 1 hour is murder. This shouldn't be the case in this day and age of booking systems widely available.
Staff seem to be happy with their wait times as this gets the customer to spend money at the bar. win win for them right! Not so much about the customer there.

Top golf get out of the Dark Ages!

Top Golf in both Chigwell and Watford are great experiences, especially at the weekends, you can have a variety of drinks such as beer, cocktails, and jagerbombs! whilst trying to get the highest score which works almost the same as the scoring system as bowling! would highly reccommmend

Great family activity that parents and children can enjoy together

Don't get me wrong the range itself is 5 stars and the food is ok but the bay booking system really needs to be looked at it wouldn't be hard to allow pre booking and just an automatic removal of no shows but no instead they make you wait hours for a bay even when it's not peak times.

Awesome place to hangout wid pals. Service is gr8. Long queues are always an issue but then good place always have that.

It's driving range. Sadly it's the only one anywhere near me. I like the driving range and that's fun. But that's about it. Always takes ages to be seated.
There's no option to bring guests. You have to make them sign up for a membership. Every time you come they print you a membership card. A total waste of plastic. Especially if like me you don't really come often. They have your name on the system. But they print you a new card anyway. They could implement some sort of system where they just give you a card that you then return after you have finished your go on the range.

The range is semi outside so you get alot of confident people smoking in the area.

Sticky floors.

I mean I'm not NOT going to come again. But let's just say the last time was a year ago. And the time before that ? Two years ago. Maybe next year? They'll probably have to print me out a new membership card then too.

Lovely place great fun, parking can be a nightmare when its busy and wait times can be extortionate for bays as there's too much demand. Best to go early morning off peak

Great evening out with friends. Scoring system adds a competitive element.

Essentially a well run place with excellent facilities. 2 tier driving range bays with food and drinks served at the bays. Friendly staff and well informed American Golf staff. Pity the range balls are so well used that they mostly don't fly accurately; many of the dimples are worn smooth. If they upgrade their balls I'd give 5 stars.

Its was all well organised. There was bit of a wait but this is a must so that you be safe on the inside. It was really good fun and the staff were very professional. Thanks for a great experience.

Good terrible! Cumberland sausage used to be a big curly sausage in a big bap. Is now a very small sausage cut in half on a very small bun!!! Is this because the food is 50% off? Did they make it 50% smaller??

Great fun! I'm not into golf in anyway but this is great fun and good for a laugh. I went when it was very cold but they have outdoor heaters which help. They also have a bar so you can enjoy a pint while you tee off.

Watford hasn't got many good places to take visiting guests but top golf is a good start. Games vary in price but if you go earlier in the day the prices are very reasonable. Aim to play on the top balcony for a better view and range but ground level works too. It's easy to play, but takes skill to be good. I'd never held a golf club before but managed to hit the golf balls into a few holes and score point but more than that we had a laugh. Great for small groups as you can chat between goes. Not ideal in the winter or if raining, you are under shelter but if the wind is in the wrong direction you'll know about it and you are ultimately outside.

Great Service, ordered food and came in under 2 mins! You might have to wait 30 mins to 2 hours for a Bay at peak times! Overall would recommend to anyone.

We arrived, expecting a fun time of topgolf only to be greeted with a wait outside, for 2 hours, in the rain. Don't get me wrong, I understand that we had to wait since they were busy. But here's where the problem lies...

Mid-game, without warning, they shut off the game/screens (wiping out scores) and came to us urging to hurry up and "chop chop" to leave because they were closing. You pay for a service and expect to receive all of it, not half of it. The least they could've done is let us finish our game!

Extremely underwhelming experience with strong disappointment which ruined our evening.

Come here on a weekly basis, great offers especially for students but a great place to enjoy and play golf or mini golf. Food and service is great, I would definitely recommend a freak shake!

All staff seem to work apart from those waiting tables. Ordered 2 drinks which didn t come together one came half an hour and the 2nd an hour later. After food the plates sat with us and never cleared. Wanting another drink. The 3 girls app reading to do nothing we re enjoying their drinks glad we wernt all feeling parched! I had to go to the bar! With only 2 people to serve in the seating area I think we would have had more luck serving ourselves. Oh and they played charades :)

Went to top golf with my company for a work social and it was brilliant. The venue was great, the game was fun, and everyone just had a really good time. The reason I decided to leave a review is specifically for the fact that the staff were so accommodating and helpful with my dietary requirements. As part of our package, we had a burrito buffet (which everybody said was amazing). Unfortunately, as I'm vegan, I couldn't eat most of the food. Before the food came out, a member of staff came and asked who the vegan was, as we had told them prior to our arrival that there would be one. He came over with the menu and had circled everything that was vegan, pointing out the ingredients and telling me that they would alter specific things so as to make them vegan friendly. They went out of their way to make sure that I had something to eat, which I was not expecting at all (I would have been happy with salad). I know it's a small thing, but anybody with dietary requirements will appreciate how rare this is, and it just made the whole experience more enjoyable than it already was! I would absolutely recommend!

Really fun and affordable activity! Facilities are great. Only down side was the service for the food and drinks which took forever. Was a lovely day out and recommend it for families.

Food is good when you eventually get it but the serving staff have an amazing ability to avoid eye contacts with customers so that they can ignore them.

Never played golf so this was a great way to learn a bit about golf. We played 3 games for a tenner, Its fun however can get bit dragging. Did wait a bit but its was great fun overall.

Great crazy golf course. Let down by allowing people to smoke cannabis and lousy bar service who would rather make coffees for other staff and fiddle around stocking up straws than serve customers.

Such great to gobwith friends and family, also, the food is really tasty and fresh. Highly recommended

I like it. It's entertaining they have good appetizers, drinks burgers. They have 2x1 promotions in the mornings. But personally it would not take more than 2 hours. Maybe with friends and doing competitions.

Nice place but car park is pathetic bit of a shame really

We came at 7pm and expected to have a great time, however as one of us had no id we got turned away after 1hr waiting. We went home got the id came back to find we was placed in a que system, they were supposed to put us on at 7pm, but we placed on the que at 8:30pm- and was on que number 68. We then got called over at 10:30pm, and when we entered we had to wait another half an hour to get a bay. This was constant waiting. The experience itself playing was great, but there was a limit of having just 2 games. So we ended up waiting all that amount of time for just two quick games. The system in place is very silly and needs to be fixed with a booking system online.

Really enjoyed this! A slick operation! 5 adults + a 10 yr old...we had a great time!!

Was quite busy today due to hot weather and World Cup but otherwise this is a great place to just wack some balls... You don't need to be a pro, its just for laughs. Not very expensive and food on the side to help the day go by. I ordered red velvet prawns which I think is slightly wierd, I'm still not sure what the red velvet part was about but it tasted OK. Freak shake wasn't amazing but the normal milkshakes were pretty good.

Had a meal before playing, ended up waiting a while to be seated (the place was empty), no one told me that I had to go to the bar to order, which I figured out after 20 minutes, and then the food took ages to get to us, and when it did it was cold. Very bad service, staff didn't seem to want to help anyone.

Had to wait a long time for a free bay. Good fun though

This place could be so much better, and make a lot more money for its owners, if it could just sort out the key issue, its staff!

There is a lack of knowledge, care and interest all around. Employees do not want to be at tills and would much rather loiter aimlessly in the corners avoiding interactions with customers. We usually go as a group of 4-6 people and we often give up on ordering multiple rounds of drinks or food because it is so difficult to get staff to:

1. serve or
2. deliver

it almost feels as though they are willing to turn down money, incredible as it may seem!?

The concept of TopGolf is amazing and it is incredibly fun, even for amateurs or people that may think they do not like golf. The scoring system enables everybody to stay at a competitive level. However, the overall experience, until you get to your booth, is often painstaking and slow.

Note: Staff will also not give you an estimate of the time it will take for your bay to become available, which is again unhelpful. If you are in position:

0 - 10: expect 1 hour
11 - 20: expect 2 hours
21 - 30: expect 3 hours

Long waiting time until we paid for fast track, took around 1 hour till we were on. Once we started it was great fun.

Nice to go to as a family, bit of healthy competition on getting the highest score. Choice of downstairs or upstairs and furthest shot does not automatically mean that you will win. Staff will serve you drinks and food from your bay and staff clear away promptly when your finished. Staff are on hand to help if require extra clubs or any questions too.

Very good place to have fun during mini golf, lots of laugh. After the game you'd like to relax and have some food, unfortunately the food served was terrible and it made me feel sick so I wouldn't recommend it. The serving staff was also a bit rude (literally throwing plates on the table).

Absolutely disgraceful. Was not let in as my friend did not have ID. We came all the way from Leicester and the security guards were very rude and did not allow us entry. This was not written anywhere on the website and was not stated beforehand. Did not realise you need to have ID to play golf. Would not bother.

Nice place especially to go on a date...wait time was good from entry to playing about 10 minutes and they serve food as well as having heaters which is needed especially if the weather isn't co-operating

Bit of a disaster on this occasion - 3 hour wait to get on a bay (having arrived at 7:30pm) and then told we have to fit our 2 games in by 11pm - pretty much impossible for a group of 3... Any chance of actually enjoying that 30 minutes of game time was ruined by an overly aggressive security guard walking past every 5 minutes reminding us we had to be out at 11pm. Can totally appreciate that things aren't easy at the moment but maybe a dose of reality is needed instead of just taking everyone's money knowing full well they won't get to play #shame

Incredible service. Every member of staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Doorman trying to threaten us to leave cause we got minors with us who are not allowed after a certain time. Mind you we've been waiting since 5 pm expecting it to not be busy as usual. #3 in queue now and in 10 minutes we're supposed to leave if we're not on the turf yet. Never coming back again that's for sure!

Very fun and cheap, however the queuing system is bad for people traveling from far as you have no indication on waiting times etc.
To pre book is very expensive.

On a Friday evening, it's excellent atmosphere with a live DJ. Food and drinks are decently priced.

Good atmosphere and fun activity during week. Ridiculously busy during weekends or peak times having to wait over 3 or 4 hours and staff aren't the most attentive. Can hear them laughing and joking when you're yet to be served

Fun for all the family what ever the weather. They have a bar with TV Sports, adventure golf and other games for the family to play. They have a wide range of bar food for you to eat as a family sitting down or to snack as you try to beat your highest score.

This place is awesome. Bay Staff always exceptionally friendly. Food and drink reasonably priced. Nice areas for chilling with a coffee or having a few drinks and watching some sport

A great venue for children and adults alike but why oh why is the music SO loud? You have to shout to the person next to you to make yourself heard!

Process is poor, long wait times and empty bays. Go only when it's very quiet otherwise expect to wait a very long time and frustratingly see empty bays which they can't offer out. Should cut waiting times for people to arrive in their booked bays. They could be making so much more money too with a better system and well trained staff. Too chaotic at times and staff seemed uninterested.

I am writing to you guys today to express my absolute disappointment to what is not only one of the worst experiences of both myself and my wifes life's but the manner in which how my complaint was handled or in this case not handled.

we arrived at top golf at approximately 5pm to what was a very busy time we proceed to check in and as it was so busy we requested a rough estimate as to a wait time.we were told by the "BOY" at the recption he has no idea at all as to how long we would be waiting but finished his sentence by saying you should not be long ???? We decided we go ahead and pay for 4 games of golf and wait for a bay to become available upstairs where we waited 31st in the que. 1.5hrs had passed and we could see from the window inside the bar that there was 5 free bays upstairs which had been vacant for over half an hour.

Suprised by this i went to the recption desk and explained this to them to which they replied we have a private function upstairs and these bays are reserved for the rest of the night!!! Amazed by this i called for the manager named jade and asked him did he feel this was something the staff should of mentioned when customers were arriving as it would of influenced us to either book dowstairs bays or go home and i got a smug smart arse answer basically saying it is what it is nothing we can do.

I visited the same venue the same week on thursday and the staff and service was equally as bad and this was a quiet night by comparison to the saturday i was reluctant to go a second time however my wife is a keen lover of the game so we said we wpuld give it a second chance.

The table which we sat on for 2 hours was passed hundreds of times by wait staff who had little or no intrest in clearing the table what so ever.I never ever write reviews on these matters in fact this is my first.My advice to anyone considering a visit here AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!.

It is an over priced day out with staff and mamgement with the average age of 22 who are simply doing the job part time for pocket money and although im a firm believer in young people working hard and its great you clearly see there is no passion or care at this venue.WORST VENUE EVER!!!!

Great place to let off steam and thrash a basket of balls out of sight. Skin on chips are super tasty too.
