In general the pricing strategy is off. You feel like you are getting ripped off, you pay for queue jump, you then have to pay for membership and then for 'games', none of this is explained properly.
As a first timer nothing was explained regarding the pricing and on asking the staff you were made to feel like you should know this already, a bit patronising. The staff are the frontline of the experience and you really fell short here. During this weird and tough time you want to feel assured by staff, not belittled.
The bay didn't feel as premium as what I thought it would, clubs were tired, the technology seemed dated, furniture was tatty. As first timers we were also not explained how the whole 'games' worked, the fact we had a maximum of two games to play, even though we finished 2 games in an hour and we had the booth for a maximum of 2 hours? This makes no sense.
The way that you have divided the venue up for Covid-19 seems like you have perhaps gone a bit too far. There is a fine balance between making it safe to making the whole experience feel like you are walking onto a crime scene and you are not really allowed on the premises.
The food felt cheap and a bit bordering on pre-packaged microwave meals, drinks were limited as well. Both coming in at a fairly premium price but lacking in quality.
This wasn't the Top Golf experience I had been sold, the staff need better training, the site needs fixing up / modernising and they most likely need a new F&B manager who can bring them up to speed on the needs and wants from a millennial audience.
