Currently on the 4th hour of waiting to play. Our table hasn t been cleaned in the whole time of us being here as we ordered food. We don t mind waiting but 4 hours with still plenty of time to wait still, the staff don t care, the glasses were dirty (one having dry food or a bogie on mine...) but the queues for the bar are ridiculous so there s no point waiting to get a new clean glass. The toilets are dirty and the music goes on and off from time to time so you re sat with no atmosphere. If we already didn t wait for so long we would have left. It s an absolute joke. This is the last time we ll be coming. Thanks very much for ruining our Saturday, wasting our time and money in this overpriced bar. A joke.

If you want to have a laugh, few drinks, food, music and play golf, I would recommend this place. They even show live sport so you can watch it while you play. During the colder days make sure you are wrapped up. It does get a bit cold. They do have an overhead heater but it is tiny
Really good set up. Enjoyable games. Helpful staff. The only thing stopping it getting 5 stars (I'd actually like to give TG 4.5 stars) is the chipped balls don't fly as far as normal range balls (eg srixon range balls) and the provided clubs are pretty cheap. But it's great fun for all the family, so don't let that put you off. I'll be back!!
The waiting time was far longer than was originally told, had an accident and received a large cut to my head needing stitches, took what seemed like forever to get a first aider and then left without finishing the games but after leaving all my details got no call back to see if I was ok
Good for a friday night out, for the 18-40's crowd. There is a wait for the slots as they do not book in advance, so expect a little wait (usually about 20-30 mins at peak times). Its good fun to see how well you can do against each other as each ball you hit is scored depending on where it goes.
There is good food and drinks at the location, the burgers are really good.
Firstly the whole idea of Top Golf is fantastic. The fact that all the balls are chipped to a person's user so that stats are accumulated is truly awesome.
However, the most frustrating thing is how bad and backward their "First Come First Serve" policy is. I genuinely don't understand how in this day and age bookings can't be made to reserve bays. It is a simple issue to resolve rather than customers spending up to 2 hours waiting for a bay in the stifling heat.
I will certainly play my two games here (because I've waited that long, I'm determined to see it out) but I'll think twice about coming again any time soon...
Always have loads of fun here and I don t even play golf. Suitable to come with family or friends. Would recommend going on weekdays as Fridays & weekends are extremely busy, waiting for over 2 hours when the weathers decent.
Absolutely a brilliant place for old and young. Had a great time with my Son and Grandson food and service was excellent and the Staff very helpful xxx and smiley x Well done really deserve Ten Stars xxx
most of the staff espiscially the white bald secruity is rude af the food presentation is nice but the quality of the food is worst than Iceland frozen food. I got a lava cookie thinking it's gonna be nice but it was so stale so they replaced it for a Sunday which was disgusting tasted of old fridge and everything was off. absolutely disgusted with their food service. I highly doubt that the staff even have a level 2 safety certificate. don't buy food from here but play golf but they annoyed me
Great fun, great food. Adventure golf available to pass the time waiting for a bay. Be prepared to wait >2hrs at peak (friday nights/weekends/school holidays)
Haven t been here as yet but I am thinking about it for my birthday as it s always something I wanted to do.. Do I have to book? Please let me know as my birthday is in March and I need to start organising..
Good fun! Great way of introducing kids to golf. I've been coming here for around 20 years and it's not really changed much apart from getting very busy. Be prepared to wait for a bay at busy periods.
Full of young, disinterested staff who don't care and are too busy trying to be mates with each other. Takes ages to get to the bay and they lie at the Bay Check In (we were told we were 7th in the queue but when you follow the link on the confirmation text it said 16th). To top it all off, the Tuesday evening deal advertised on their website "is not on at the moment, we'll get marketing on it". Avoid and find another driving range.
Visited this place with my friends and t was such a fun day out! They have mini golf and a driving range and also a bar that serves food and drink. We ordered the food and drinks to our slot while playing golf and the food was surpringly good! Would definitely recommend this place!
The range is great but the fact that they STILL haven t implemented a booking system is shambles. Go on any weekend and expect a minimum 2 hour wait for a game.
We had a really good day at top golf, the staff where really friendly and the service was excellent. What made it was that is was turned into a game which made it more enjoyable than just being at a normal driving range.I would recommend top golf everyone should try it even if they don't play golf it is a scream .
I like this place. I don't play golf but is the perfect place to let off steam after a long day in the office. In a nutshell: driving range with table service. Cheers
Visited Watford topgolf 5 or 6 times now and each time had so many laughs playing the game with family members and friends, afterwards having a bite to eat and drink is par for the course lol and not costing alot of money for the time spent here. I would rate this for all the family 10 out of 10.
Great place to go. Definitely need more than just 3 centres, I d be there everyday if one was closer by! In regards to queues and waits, only problem we ve ever had was making the mistake of going on bank holiday Monday which was an intermediate no (3hr wait... lesson learnt), that s probably the first out 20ish visits we was sad to not play.
I generally love coming here and always have a great experience, however, today I was served by Tina the 'Team Leader' who was very rude and unhelpful. I required Junior clubs due to being 5ft tall with a disability but was refused various times because I'm not a child, and was given the excuse that the clubs are 'too bendy and flexible for adults'. After various requests she begrudgingly let me use them. I feel that if you can't accommodate people with disabilities and height restrictions, who can't use standard size clubs, you should at least accommodate them in the same way as left handed players.
It was my anniversary today and this really dampened the mood and has ruint the usual Topgolf experience for me.
Great golf facility, but, most of the time for the top floor, you will be waiting for 15 - 30 minutes to get a bay, but, that can be avoided by coming on a weekday. We once waited for about 1 hour for the bottom floor, but that time went fast while playing a game of mini-golf, and eating some food Over all, a great thing to do on a cold day ( it is inside ) and a great trip for the whole family.
The new system (new to me because I haven't been in a while) does not work. I would rather be told how long I have to wait then watch a number on my phone screen to say where I am in the queue. Also, maybe staff should say if there are events on, so you can pick whether to play at the bottom or top accordingly, instead of sitting there seeing 8 booths which are completely not used.
Really good place to come and play a fun game of golf and very good restaurant and crazy golf course. The only let down is that there are often horrendous queues so make sure you book in advance.
Bunch of us go one a month. Was allocated bays with hawk eye which tracks your ball. Made the game more fun. Wanted the same bays but told no as only for pro's
Why dont all the bays have this facility ?
We checked the bays and no one on it yet still not allowed.
Spent over 3 hours waiting for bay, when I questioned why there was empty bays and was told they had been booked, we was not informed of this at the time of booking, it seemed they were happy for us to spend our money on food and drink, it seems that they are making money out of the booking fees, not worried about customers .We left as it was after 10 pm without paying. will not go there again
Gr8 fun. One game can last ages so make sure you organise how long u want to play 2 games lasted us about 3 hours and was great fun. But ordered food at the tables and starters came ages after main course.
As much as the experience is good fun, it takes a long time to get to that point. You queue just to queue again when let inside, and the system they implement could be optimised as there's a lot of issues. Food was decent though!
We were here on Tuesday (29th Aug) around 2pm, as it was still school holidays, no offers were available. We got a bay immediately on the lower level, would have to queue for the upper level (9th in the queue). Glad that we got the lower level at the end, it was much better for first timers. A game of 20 balls was enough for newbies and we enjoyed it. We did see some people walking around showing others how to play, would have been better if they came to us too as we were obviously beginners whereas the topgolf guy seemed to focus on people whom already knew how to play.. The service was good and quick. The food is mediocre and the fries were soggy but you don't really come here for food. Overall, we spent 2 hours there for 1 game with the 4 of us.
Great fun. Lovely staff and delicious food. Love the fact that it has a fully stacked bar and genuinely good food. The facilities are really good and you'll have fun even if you're rubbish at golf. Can get quite busy but has a lovely atmosphere considering this is golf! There is a reasonably sized car park but it gets full very quickly so you're not always guaranteed to get parking. Even still as long as you're with good company this is guaranteed fun
TopGolf is super fun - for everyone. Service in the bays is hit and miss. Sometimes slow sometimes not. Lots of teenage staff. The gents toilets are an absolute disgrace - health and safety warning.
Best to go at night especially when the floodlights come on. Great place with great drinks but they are always busy so you have to order food and drinks but it does not take away from the sheer amount of fun you have hitting balls and getting points. My only issue is that whilst I am waiting for my turn, I alway see quite a few bays not being used for quite some time too.
First and LAST time I come here. No help or friendly welcome, except the pungent spell of body odour. It has potential. But mainly focuses on Teenagers or students. If you fancy a driving range, go to a golf club. This is just not near as good as your local. Manager was nice when he gave me a refund. Best part of the visit to be fair.
Last Tuesday we visited topgolf and was shocked by the rudeness and behaviour of security staff. My friend went to the toilet and the one of the security guy was standing outside there and when he was coming back to the waiting area he was told that he can not go back inside because they are following one way line system and he have to go out and come back from main gate which we understand is fine but we were shocked when the same guy let the girl go to toilet and come back inside the venue breaking one way line system and he didnt even asked her to follow one way line system. The rules are only for Guys in topgolf Watford or what is going on here. We love this venue we wait in ques for hours but the way security team is treating guys i don't even feel like coming back to the venue. I would advise you to check the cameras on exits of ground floor toilet and you will understand what i am saying. This behaviour from security staff is unacceptable at such a great venue.
Great golfing experience with a fun points system only let down by massive delays.
Been here a couple of times before and the last was on a Sunday at about 5:30 pm. It was pretty busy inside, probably because it was the weekend. We went to the Bay Check In desk and were told that there was a 'max' wait of 2 hours. For a 1st floor bay on top, we'd be 30th in the queue and for a ground floor one, 23rd! Reluctantly, I booked the top as I've been here before and felt it's better than playing from than the bottom.
We sat and ordered 1 chilli cheese fries, a plate of nachos and water (Water is free!). Be prepared, the portions here are large and suited to sharing but nevertheless, the food is brilliant. The nachos were amazing! Melted cheese on top with guacamole, sour cream and salsa dips. The chilli cheese fries were good too, in contrast to McDonald's, they seemed like they were straight from the potato. Less fried topped with a bean chilli. It wasn't very spicy though and tasted mild.
The wait was excruciating. Finally, at around 9 pm (3.5 hours later!) we got our cards and got the text for our bay. The system is easy to use. You put a basket on a machine and use your card to load 20 balls per game. Make sure you know who's basket is who's (easy way is to place something of yours in the basket without forgetting to retrieve it later). To get started you put a ball into the reader which registers it. Then tee up and score points by the various targets. Whether you're a beginner or Rory McIlroy, it's an effortless way to have fun. Overall an enjoyable experience only let down by the prolonged wait. They should possibly invest in more bays to reduce the wait times. Will be back again... but earlier!
Pros: -Brilliant way to play golf for everyone -Delicious food in generous portions, perfect for parties -Food served on tables whether waiting or golfing -Tracked balls providing useful individual statistics -Choice of the driving range or Adventure Golf -Lifetime Saver card option with 4* free games
Cons: -Colossal wait for golf bays -Toilets with wet floors that needed cleaning -Price of Saver cards
The incompetent door lady (could pass for a man) checked my ID. I went in reserved my bay and went back outside to meet the rest of the group. We then wanted to go to the bar to get some drinks but i was not let in because my ID was invalid apparently even after she checked it the first time and i was let in. Spoke to the lady at the door and it was like talking to a brick wall. Absolutely disgusting attitutde and customer service is non existent.
But thanks to your door staff we enjoyed a evening out elsewhere with plenty of drinks. Glad i didnt spend my money at topgolf.
Will definately not be coming back here and will not be recommending this place to friends and family.
Great fun, they have a 50% off student deal on monday. I would recommend going then whether or not you re a student because you avoid the queues that you often hear people speak of. Only downside is the arcade section, it s pretty cramped. There s a pool table, mario kart and basketball.
Golfing Great but the food was a mess over cooked pulled pork and duck and burger so very dry need to take look at the guys producing it and tell them not to over cook / pull the meat to much, if the food improves then the raiting can also. Fries and tater tots cooked nicely very tasty. Good fair pricing.
We placed an order but the wrong food came out. Then the food came out cold. Assistant manager Sara was great at creating a resolution and gave us a refund and made the food again so it was hot and complimentary hot drinks. Even stayed with us to make sure it tasted ok. Its not about the mistake, its about how its resolved. 10/10 customer service. Will definitely be coming back.
