Travis at the concierges was extremely helpful! I wanted to order flowers for my wife who was staying at the hotel and not only did he connect me with a local flourist, he went and picked them up and delivered them to my wife's room!

This hotel has all the looks of a 5 star hotel but the rooms fell short. They were clean but needed updated. I like the idea that it's supposed to feel vintage...but I don't want to sleep on a vintage bed. The bars and atmosphere in the lobby are spot on though.

We were there for an event, got the smallest room in the entire hotel floor (we looked at the floor plan it really was the smallest by an extra 4-6ft or so of space). Still got charged full price, had a handicapped person in the room and was denied any sort of accommodations so we had to leave early.

We stopped by the hotel for drinks at the speakeasy. It's a charming little (capacity is less than 50 people) room. The drink menu has several cool options including some less common drinks. Prices are in the now expensive side but also have some options that are mid-range. The drinks we ordered were good. The speakeasy offered a little food and were out of what we ordered. Regardless, overall it was a nice experience.
Hello,
Hello,
We stay here very time we go to a game from Canada.
The Hotel lobby at this particular time walking into the lobby there was garbage bags on the floor peoples empty bottles on tables.
The hotel looks a little untidy but what was the frosting on the cake was the bathrooms and the lobby were filled with homeless people washing in the sinks and no toilet paper because they were using it to clean themselves at 10 AM in the morning.
I feel very bad for the homeless but unfortunately even our safety in the hotel isn t too safe anybody can go upstairs.
Thank you
Lily

Great place to enjoy fine dining at a moderately classy price. The servers and the concierge are always friendly and attentive, and the happy hour specials at the Terrace room and The Tap Room are simply the Best . Let us not forget that this is one of the most historical hotels in the Pittsburgh Cultural District. Inside you will find the lobby comfortable, welcome, and in inviting, needless to say a few. Beautiful models on the walls of the Terrace room a great conversation for a rich history in our wonderful City of Pittsburgh. The rooms are perfectly kept what's a style of a beautiful traditional style of Their Own. I rate this hotel A10 because it meets all of my expectations and more. And remember location is everything and outside you can always visit the local shops and restaurants and enjoy are great Cultural District, nightly entertainment, and much more. This is a place to spend your vacation, a getaway, or time with that special person, I urge you to make this your number one hotel visit. I have limited in Pittsburgh 4 Over 25 years and the Westin William Penn has always how did standards a quality and excellence.

I will improve this rating if I get any response. I have a voucher to use at the hotel, expiring soon. I have called the hotel 25 times to make a reservation and get nothing but "all circuits are busy". I am quite disgusted. I have found two phone numbers and tried them both. I cannot find any email contact. I don't know how they expect to deliver any kind of service this way. If I don't get an answer from them I will never use or recommend them again. I will stop after 50 tries.

Rooms were small for the price. Room had a musty smell. Toilet overflowed after going #1. Engineer came and "fixed" it. Same thing happened next day but sewage came out with it, "Not Ours!". They offered a different room that "we would be much happier with". Same size room but with 1 1/2 baths. One toilet flushed the same way, the another worked great! We stayed anyhow but decided that we won't be returning.

Very clean, the host was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the Omni William Penn Hotel. This is a historical place and destination in the city of Pittsburgh. The rooms were clean as were the corridors and various lounges. The bathrooms were spotless. The Starbucks in the lobby was friendly and fast to serve.
If you don't wish to order room service The Omni - Penn is located close to shops and various eateries, I'm sure there is a place you will find enjoyable to your taste.
The only issue keeping me from a 5 review is the fact that I could not find an outlet to plug into in the lobby. This fact should be considered when planning the hotels next upgrades.

Beautiful, historic hotel in the heart of Pittsbur...
Beautiful, historic hotel in the heart of Pittsburgh. Great for visitors to the city, but if you plan on getting a block of rooms for a wedding or special event, DON'T!!! We had roughly 60 rooms for a wedding recently at a special rate of $169. However, many people ended up booking outside of the block because they got a lower rate going on -line on their own. ($169 vs. $129 at one point.) When we notified the hotel informing them of this, we got a response saying they had no control over occasional promotions that the hotel would run, and they wouldn't lower or match the rate. LOUSY! The second issue involved delivering welcome bags with maps and critical information our guests needed for the weekend, and were told they would deliver the bags within 2 hours of a guest checking in. We dropped off the bags on Thursday around noon knowing some guests would be there early. Many of the bags still were not delivered on Saturday at noon. It was a total fiasco. Some guests never did get their bag and others received the wrong bag, yet the hotel has charged us a $4.00 per bag delivery fee for 60 bags for a total of $240. Just ridiculous!! The Doubletree, Monaco and Ace hotel delivered bags on time with no charge. Again the sales department and Carly will not do a good job of taking care of your guests, so our advice is to use another hotel for any special event or wedding in Pittsburgh, or just book the rooms on your own and deliver all of your welcome bag/gifts personally.

The hotel is gorgeous but the service still needs improvement. The kitchen can't handle high volumes even with a very limited menu. The room had an additional half bath and was very clean and spacious.

I heard and read wonderful things about this hotel, and was sorely disappointed at times. While our room was beautiful, our bed was comfortable, and everything was clean, the shower wasn't working, there was no where to park (we were essentially forced to valet our car as there were no other parking options), and we attempted to order room service (a piece of cake and two drinks) and that took almost an hour, after we managed to get a hold of someone after trying for 20 minutes, the man showed up and then left with no reasoning only to come back 10 minutes later. All in all, an underwhelming experience from what we had hoped would be an amazing hotel.

Beautiful building and lobby. Large room with a comfortable bed and plush towels but it smelled a little "off". I like the smell of old buildings but this was a little different.

I was very pleased with the atmosphere this hotel had. Very friendly staff. The hotel was beautiful and clean.
The room service was fast and the food was amazing. The portions you get are huge!
the jewelry store is an added benefit. I purchased a beautiful pair of earrings. The Starbucks is great too.

I would for sure stay here again

Elegant, historic, and beautiful. My wife and I were married here, our reception was in the Bob and Dolores Hope room (plaster/woodwork is timeless).
Very helpful staff was eager to make sure everything went smoothly.

This is a beautiful hotel. It is not just a place to sleep. During our stay, no less than four wedding parties took photos outside our Window view. The decor is beautiful in the room as well as in the lobby. I could spend a day in the lobby. This is a classy place. Picture is one of the hallway views. Small, quaint rooms. Yet despite there are 4 wedding parties here this weekend, it is quiet as an old library, and we slept like babies. Never been to Pittsburgh before, and this will be my number one hotel in this city.

The overall experience is that it is a decent hotel. Location is perfect and the lobby as well as the ball rooms are pretty. Two negative points I have to give for the dust that is at the places you do not see immediately (the rest is clean) and especially for the connectivity. There is no Ethernet port and WiFi is subject to 10 or 15$ extra per day and device. If you want to have fat internet on four devices this means an extra 60$ per day. I wanted to connect my vpn box and therefore I need Ethernet. I bought a repeater in order to use it as a WiFi Adapter but could make it work. After half an hour with the IT service I found out that the hotel blocks this kind of device. Also the Business Center, consisting of one pc and printer which you may use 15 min free of charge but have to enter all your CC details, including secure code before you use it. The logout process is not so clear and extremely slow.
The breakfast ist not the cheapest (if you do not pre-book it 25$) but it is worth it and you should stay at least for 30 min to really benefit.
Another positiv aspect that irritates me in most hotels are the elevators. In total there are 12 of them and they are pretty fast, so no long waiting time.
All in all I can recommend this hotel if you do not depend on the WiFi.

Stayed in room 1142 - well would have. Checked in, went downstairs for a client dinner, came back up to my room and washed my face, brushed teeth, laid down in bed - was on my phone on my stomach with the pillow in front of me, when something moving caught my eye. Noticed a small reddish bug with a black dot, immediately took a picture and called the front desk - upon Google review picture matched bed bug completely. Once downstairs, the front desk made no apologies, simply offered a new room key and asked I email the picture I took of the bug (which I squished, and housekeeping took away in a bag) I did not take the offered key, checked out and booked a new room at the Drury around midnight. AVOID this hotel. I believe at one time it may have been nice, but at minimum room 1142 needs to be fumigated - if not the whole hotel. For reference, I travel 3 weeks out of a month and have stayed in probably 200 different hotels over the last few years; and have never experienced or felt compelled to write a review.

I am Omni s platinum select guest and during my current stay, I requested firm pillows.
When the pillows were got to my room, I saw the housekeeping staff, throw the pillows and clean pillow-covers outside my room on the dirty carpet floor in the hallway and changed the pillow cases. I took pictures and video of him doing so.
The whole thing looked disgusting and below the standards of Omni Brand. I am disgusted on how a personal item like pillow is treated on the dirty hallway floor, and cannot imagine how they prep other items for our use.
I emailed the pictures to front desk supervisor Laura Hritz, and she said that her manager would contact me, but no one did.
In the evening, the night manager said that she's sorry for the incident and sent some popcorn to the room - which I refused and sent back and I am checking out by cutting my trip short.
I am not angry at the employee who did this, and do not want him to suffer- it s that the Omni Hotels needs to train its staff better on how to treat the customers.
It s a decent property and located downtown Pittsburgh - but there are other options like the Westin, Marriott, Monaco etc which I would use for the future.
Omni just lost the business from me and I will communicate to my firm to remove them from preferred vendor list, as they do not know how to treat their customers and do not train their employees well.
