I experienced the lobby and Speakeasy as part of the Doors Open Pittsburgh event, beautiful!
I experienced the lobby and Speakeasy as part of the Doors Open Pittsburgh event, beautiful!
Nice but disappointed that there isn't free wifi at a4l 4 star hotel. Classic decor with an exquisite lobby area but the bathrooms in the hotel rooms are a bit small and outdated.
Had lunch at the Tap Room. The food was good, but the service is slow.
beautiful building, spacious rooms, kid friendly and convenient, right downtown close to most attractions
Great space for meetings and conferences. Beautiful spacious rooms and friendly staff.
My children took me to this hotel for a belated mother's say celebration. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. However the service in the Terrace Room was exceptional!!! We had a marvelous dinner for 11 people, last minute with no reservation we decided to see if they could accommodate us; which they graciously did. I wanted crem' brule' for desert, however it was not on the menu that evening. The waiter spoke to his manager, Danny Van Wie, who went above and beyond to accommodate my desire. Danny went to the restaurant across the street and got me two crem' brule' deserts! I have never in all my years of dining been treated so nicely. Danny Van Wei is a world class manager who definitely knows the meaning of customer satisfaction. I would recommend The Terrace Room to every one; and will go back for another visit when in Pittsburgh. Thank you DANNY VAN WIE for making my night.
Stopped with some friends for food and drinks. The speakeasy had a great atmosphere with attentive staff. I would recommend if you are in downtown Pittsburgh.
The bathroom makes a weird noise when using it but everything thing else pretty good
Great location surrounded by lots of great restaurants. Stay was quiet. Valet was a plus!
Love this lovely hotel, clean, cozy, comfortable room.
Great location, friendly staff. Really appreciated having the Starbucks coffee early in the morning
Our stay was absolutely amazing!!!! My fiance and I stayed the night I proposed. I had mentioned it in the comments, and we were treated to an upgraded room by Margarette, the front desk manager. From, the minute we stepped up to to desk, Krystal was so sweet and friendly!! We were so appreciative of the room upgrade, that when room service showed up with a beautiful breakfast platter, we told him he must have the wrong room. He said "congratulations on your engagement. Here's breakfast compliments of dina, the hospitality manager." We will always stay at the Omni any time we come into the city, and reccomend it to anyone we can.
Rooms were alright, but the toilet took ages to flush. Hallways were very hot and humid during the summer as well. Interior was slightly confusing, too.
Xlean and Comfy hotel rooms though the rooms are bit old, wifi is not free
Everything was beautiful. The room was quaint and very nice for being such an old building
Our waitress was amazing...we were a challenging group and she did a perfect job. My wild mushroom burger was delicious... everyone seemed to enjoy theirs meals. Would recommend!
I met a friend for lunch at the combination brueggers/jamba juice. It was awesome.
Great staff. They were able to accommodate me and get me a different room after the couple in the room next to mine was being a little noisy
Wonderful week at the William Penn!!! The staff is extremely helpful and you can tell that they really enjoy pleasing their guests. Our room was clean and spacious and the hotel's central location make it convenient to just about anything you'd want to see in Pittsburgh.
5th year that I stay here. Very unequal. Poor service and some rooms (in interior) very noisy.
Love, love, love the William Penn!! Great service, beautiful at Christmas, and if you are lucky you might see a player or two!! Awesome location. Close to Market Square and a great walk to Heinz Field. Wouldn't stay anywhere else on a game weekend!!
Classy hotel in the heart of Pittsburgh.
Reminds me of the old hotels in the movies. GORGEOUS lobby.
This place screams classy, but under the illustrious veneer lies a hot bed of crime and over priced room service. Would not recommend unless you need to be close to something.
Location was fantastic in the heart of downtown and within walking distance of PPG Arena (Penguins). A/C in our room didn't work, but that's because it was shut off for the season.
Old school, but charming. Liked the lobby disliked the room.
Wonderful and beautiful hotel, had everything we needed, large well appointed rooms.
Great hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were nice and clean, and bed was really comfortable. Location is great, especially if you want to walk to PNC Park. I deducted one star because there are definitely some renovations needed... Not bad, but getting worn out, such as the carpets. All in all, I'd stay there again, and would recommend the hotel to others.
This hotel was not only beautiful, but greeted us warmly and seeing the child with us, went out of their way to make him laugh. They gave us a kids pack with games and coloring books. When they found out the reason for our trip to Pittsburgh, they sent a care package up. I will without a doubt stay here next time I come to town!
WHERE'S THE 13th FLOOR? Oh wait, it's tucked discreetly between the 11th and 12th. Odd. I'm not saying this hotel is haunted, because it's not. That said, I did see the ghost of Derek Bell sitting idly in the lobby. Which is doubly spooky because, if I'm not mistaken, Derek is alive and kickin'. Talk about Operation Shutdown. Seriously, this is a great hotel that some people will try to tell you is haunted. I have no idea where that rumor came from but don't skip here thinking that it's true and, conversely, don't come here because you're into that kind of thing. Just enjoy the lovely ambiance and pay no attention to the distant shrieking coming from the elevator shafts.
An amazing hotel!!! Beautiful inside and out with amazing staff all the way around. Restaurant and lounging was spectacular as well.
The omni is a beautiful hotel but the temperature controls in the guest rooms do not work properly creating an uncomfortable sleeping experience.
We have had our reservation for three months and this hotel cancelled our reservation THE DAY OF ARRIVAL and wouldn t provide the needed transport and storage of our bags between this hotel and the other one they decided to throw us in. Would not suggest to anyone else taking a trip to Pittsburgh
The conference rooms were divided on disparate floors and the lobby, while stunningly beautiful, was a bit unintuitive to navigate. The halls are nicely arranged in an E pattern for shorter corridor spacing but signage could be more pronounced for easier recognition. Since it's an old building, power outlets on the light fixtures would a great improvement. The overall lighting was pleasant and welcoming, not harsh like many hotels can be.
I had to amend this post after having an incredibly terrible experience with the front desk and accounting staff after I had been incorrectly billed by the hotel and then they made an UNAUTHORIZED charge on my credit card for a transaction that should have been completely closed.
A company had stepped in to pay for two of the nights that I stayed at the hotel, presuming that I was coming in a night earlier to attend a conference. The hotel keeps telling me that my "original" reservation was actually the amended one and said that I was a no-show for the first night. After I was charged for only one night because my stay was for three nights instead of the assumed four.
A week later, they had the audacity to rework the reservation system to cover up their mistake to be able to charge my credit card without my permission and then say everything is fine when I'm having dinner with a friend and have my credit card DECLINED because they have a charge held on it.
Don't stay at this hotel unless you enjoy being jerked around with extra fees and charges because their staff can't be honest with their horrible reservation software.
Love staying here. Classy old school hotel that is beautiful !
Stayed there for my brother's wedding. The reception was held in the hotel, and the staff were incredible to work with. We had our two toddlers with us and the rooms were very spacious. Great hotel, will definitely stay there any time I come to Pittsburgh.
Super cool place, nice music, quick and good service and good food. What else can you wish for?
Definitely historic. If your looking for a modern place to stay this is not it. Although, this hotel is very beautiful and well kept I prefer modern hotels.
Great hotel. Love the chain. It met my expectations
The Lobby is old but has great charm and is clean! our room was great good view! good staff
Great service. Very conveniently located. The gentleman at the concierge desk was amazing. We had a better trip thanks to his help and efforts.
This hotel is awesome. The building is awe inspiring, the room was very clean, the staff was warm and caring. I highly recommend.
Historic hotel. My wife surprised me with a stay. Our room was very small - very. But - it was comfortable and clean and the coffee delivery was a nice touch.
I recommend staying at this hotel as a nice treat.
Beautiful hotel perfect location for all sporting activities lots to do in this mini NYC
Historic hotel but GREAT staff and the service was 5 star
If you want a beautiful exterior building and lobby, great. For comfort, a better room and better front desk service I honestly would prefer a Hampton Inn.
Great location, over priced parking, old rooms need updated
great p[lace to stay. everyone is friendly and it is an amazing hotel!
Great hotel, staff is friendly and the food at the restaurants is delicious!
Beautifully old and classic. Staff was very polite and helpful.
Historic hotel. Rooms need updated as Pittsburgh is getting lots of new modern hotels. Staff was friendly
Beautiful hotel. Loved the room with king size bed and the view
Luxurious hotel in the middle of everything and friendly. ..
Bathrooms are a bit cramped. ..
The room was small and not what I would expect from a fancy hotel. Good location for walking to attractions though.
The room was large and very comfortable the staff is amazingly helpful. The bars/restaurants have a great atmosphere.
Omni was great and easy to check in. No problems at all!
The seats at the event were comfortable. The wait staff was very attentive and professional. The food was good, but nothing to write home about.
