A true 5 star experience. Everyone I met on the staff was truly professional and focused on giving top level service. The historic building is well appointed and had been kept in excellent condition. If you are starting in downtown Pittsburgh I highly recommend you visit the Onmi William Penn

This hotel's history is absolutely amazing. Make sure to take time to explore, as you may find a hidden speak easy as well as historical artifacts. It was very interesting to see pictures of the ballroom and other meeting spaces from 1916 - most look just as luxurious now as they did then.

Hotel is beautiful just don t EVER use the valet service unless you enjoy your brand new car being returned damaged and the back seats reclined like someone was sleeping in your car. The Director of Security could care less because all of his employees are perfect and never do anything wrong I was told it s my problem!

Absolutely amazing service! Every person we met was very friendly and helpful from the bellman to the restaurant servers front desk and housekeeping. Room was great and room service was too. Location close to everything downtown, walkable to Market Square and directly across from the subway. Would recommend or stay again!

The stay was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The food was also very good. In all I had a very pleasant experience at the Omni William Penn and would highly recommend it.

I travel through Pittsburgh on my way to New York City a few times a year and this is the only hotel that I like to stay at. It's beautiful and historic and has been well maintained in its original elegance. The food is always so good as well. However, the best thing about the William Penn is the people. They like their jobs and are proud to work at this very special hotel and they want your stay to be memorable.

Very nice hotel, they accommodated my continue education course very well(provided towels, chairs, and water - which is all we needed). The staff check in in he morning in before the course, around lunch, and at the end of the day.

Completely rude and unprofessional service from the wedding department. Consider the Ace, Doubletree or Monaco for your next event.

We were faced with myriad billing errors and a complete meltdown from their ideal service team on delivering amenities to rooms. Attempting to resolve the issue was met with more pushback than accountability.

It's a beautiful hotel with great history but I can't in good conscience recommend it for a large group event.

In addition, all three of their bars were closed by midnight on a weekend there were four weddings in the Omni alone! So bizarre.Thank goodness for The Commoner at the Monaco next door..

The overall atmosphere of the hotel was very nice: especially good were the speakeasy bar and the lobby. The room was excellent. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the heating system malfunctioned but was fixed promptly when requested to.

Wish I could give zero stars. Ordered room service. Had to spend 20 minutes on the phone trying to place an order for food because the employee was not knowledgeable about what was on the menu and what wasn't. My food comes, and I find random strips of FISH in my chicken Caesar salad. How does that even happen?

I forgot my MacBook charger and had several hours of work to do in the middle of the night. Front desk was not willing to accommodate in any way whatsoever, and I am walking away with a $60+ dollar additional charge - beware, they charge $7 for 15 minutes on their business center computers and will not let you use the other hotel computers even though those are no fee.

I personally requested to stay here, but after this experience - needless to say, I will not be coming back.

The rooms had no natural light, even most of the conference rooms that I found. No airport shuttle so be aware. The desk service just gave me a key. No hello, goodbye or recommendations for anything. Even when checking out they didn't show forth class. They say it was a 4 star hotel but I have been to some 1 star chabby motels better than this place.

Decent enough hotel, but it seems to be stuck in the past. Cable system reminds me of the '90s with pay to play movies and music set up, wifi is extra while most 4/5 star hotels have it complimentary, and the restaurants don't have much to offer the palate.

PS kettle chips for nachos is a horrible idea, whomever created that dish should be replaced.

Great experience! We thought we had lost my wife's pj's but ended up finding them in our suitcase. Not sure if we placed them there or if the housekeeping staff member did! Either way, great service. :-) Thanks!

Mostly good experience but worn out chairs in the room. Unable to turn off the room climate control if want to open windows. Internet in the room is expected to be free these days
(They offer free internet to select guests as a bonus)

Really nice lobby, very comfortable beds, standard sized well kept rooms. Some good things I didn't know before going are there's a pretty complete fitness center (no squat racks but you can get a really complete workout in for a hotel) and the paper is delivered to the room. Only downside is WiFi doesn't appear to be included in the room price. Walking distance from the David Lawrence Convention center and downtown restaurants.

Tiny his and her bathrooms, literally room for one and not much else as far as bathrooms go, in our King room on 10. Rooms were nicely appointed and clean. Bed nice and comfy. Little too warm but fortunately the windows open easily.

Nice historic hotel with a lot of room for conference space. The rooms are nice, and the free apples at the check-in desk are a nice touch. you can be a little confusing as there's multiple kind of ground floors. Conference breakfast was pretty good too!

My employer booked a room for me here. It was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. I can't believe that this place is considered a "luxury" hotel. The bedding was was poor, the room was dusty, the ac/heating unit had a malfunctioning blower unit so it made a loud noise every time it kicked on which woke me up each time. The shower barely worked. When I brought this up at the front desk, they said they were sorry, but it you could tell they really didn't mean it. There are better hotels in downtown Pittsburgh so I would recommend avoiding this one.

This is an old world hotel with all of the class and style for every generation. A great attentive and professional staff, great food in each of the restaurants and fantastic service. I wish I had to be in Pittsburgh more often. Unfortunately, I have been coming here only once a year over the last 25 years. Thank you, Omni.

This hotel is just ok, especially for the 4-star category rating. Yes, the staff is very helpful, but the hotel itself is average: the rooms are very dated and dark--I had to keep the lights on even during the daytime just to see what I was doing. The room also felt cramped, and I unfortunately had one right next to a noisy elevator shaft. Another major downfall to consider is that there is no parking on site, and parking in a garage will set you back about 20 dollars a day and valet is closer to 40. Also, the wifi is not free in the rooms, so figure in another 15 dollars a day for that. Finally, the hotel insists on putting a $100 hold on your credit card while also keeping your card number on file for incidentals. Keeping all of those extra fees in mind, you're likely to be able to get a better hotel for the same cost.

Looking for somewhere to spend our 1 year anniversary. We had been to the Omni homestead for a few days the last year before we departed on our honeymoon. We really like Omni brand, so we decided to get out of the area and see Pittsburgh. We were not disappointed , from valet, front desk, room service, everything was great. We were there to relax and enjoy the city and this was a great home away from home. Clean and spacious rooms, hotel had a very elegant feel to It. No complaints and will defiantly stay here if we visit the city again. Also the location is great , has restaurants in house but also close walk to trendy spots to eat for all budgets.

With its historic lobby and fabulous restaurant Omni Penn is a hotel where you enjoy every moment you stay in or sit at the lobby. Its location and view among a jungle of historical sites makes walking fun. I am dreaming of going to Pittsburgh to live that atmosphere again at Omni Penn
