Went for a wedding and I must say that they have some decent banquet facilities in the area.
Fantastic rooms, and lovely atmosphere. All of the staff was very warm and helpful to us as tourists in the city. I would highly recommend due to it's close enough relation to the underground.
Amazing and beautiful place, very welcoming and friendly staff. The food is outstanding and looks very pleasing when presented. Family friendly as we had a baby with us, catered to this and with such ease. Would recommend!
A lot of money for an ordinary hotel, service poor, air conditioning not working it was very hot, , the view out of the window is a air conditioning funnell, brick wall and dead rat.
The service, breakfast in the executive lounge and the accommodations.
Visited for a non - res breakfast .. What great service-the breakfast host here deserves honourable mention . She went above and beyond to explain all our options and was such a great part of the whole experience.
Lovely room, good hot /cold choices... Definitely recommended
Excellent afternoon spent here having afternoon tea.
Amazing historical grand hotel with excelente afternoon tea!
Only had teas and coffees during a business meeting but the service was awfully slow.
Really stunning hotel, would stay here again for sure!
Great service. Rooms are ok. They didn't blow me away but they are comfortable and have most of what you need.
Bring a charger though.. concierge will charge for you but you want one in the room really
Location is incredible and is probably what you pay for. Right in the centre of the theatre district. 3 mins from the furthest theatre.
The cocktail bar is the envy of all others in London and they make amazing cocktails. They'll even make one up for you and they are proud of their work. Gets busy in that little bar mind you.
It's a hilton in the centre of London, it was never going to be bad
If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit HotelBuIIy. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!
We celebrated a 50th birthday with afternoon tea at the Waldorf yesterday. The staff were amazing, very accommodating. The birthday cake was bought to the tune of Happy Birthday played on the harp and piano. A very nice touch. We want to thank them for a lovely afternoon. A beautiful traditional English hotel in the heart of London.
The free Handy smart phone in every room is great experience for tourists
It is a real pleasure to do The Waldorf Christmas Decorations each year.
Will go again if we get the chance. Excellent food.
Price doesn't correspond the service and name.
1. Not even a bottle of water in the room
2. Unsteady matress
3. Very poor brackfast
4. Very poor/slow service in restaurant, servants all the time dropped smt, no glovrs or mask at all...
5. And etc...
So, im VERY dissapointed.
Great location to attend various musicals.
Close to Parliament and the center.
By cons rooms are really redone, they are tired.
The service is impeccable, we asked to change rooms for air conditioning noise, in 15 minutes it was done.
Went for a celebration dinner with family. The service was superb and the food delicious
Old hotel with small rooms, needs a modernization.
However, the staff is very attentive and makes you feel welcome.
We've been there for dinner, and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is very classy and elegant. Everything from service to food was great.
Attended a professional event here, greeted well by all staff, excellent food, quality audio visuals
Stayed for 4 nights. Incredibly good service from the employees, they really made you feel welcome.
Great rooms, with nice bathrooms.
Located in the theater area, which is very central. A great place to stay if you are planning on seeing London.
We loved this hotel! The best part I think is the close proximity to Covent Garden, which offers some of the best restaurants, shopping and atmosphere in London. The hotel staff was great, we especially loved Francesco at the door, he was friendly and accommodating! The rooms are very small, but, this is London, so we understand.. the breakfast buffet each morning was very nice and we absolutely loved The Parrot bar. Fun live music and a very nice drink menu! The only thing I did not like was the gym/pool, I honestly felt very intimidated going down there and didn't feel very "welcome" if that's a thing in a gym, but I went once and never again.
Are once a year treat always treated like royalty ,recommend highly .
Amazing visit...
Beautiful hotel in an excellent location.
Great place to stay if visiting the theatre in London
Waiters could of been more attentive as we had to go to the bar ourselves
The staff is amazing! Their concierge planned all of my extra curricular activities successfully! Close to a lot of theaters and museums. There is also a supermarket close by.
Opulent amazing staff you are well catered for here.
Very disappointed, room average, safe didn't work, Wi-Fi wouldn't connect. Bar was good and bar tender very knowledgeable. Left my phone charger in room, was shocked it wasn't handed in by room cleaners, not very honest. Attitude of lost and found amounted to 'tough'
Ok ish, would not stay again, some people on concierge were not very helpful
Beautiful building, lovely rooms, ideal location. Perfect for Covent Garden and theatreland. Close your eyes and imagine how this place must have been in the 1920 and 30's.
Nothing brilliant more outdated and nasty interior!
The dinner was lovely and great service. Had a really nice evening
I am a bit disappointed with the old hotel you can see it in the rooms unfortunately I didn't feel comfortable. It's a shame because it's Waldorf :(
It's perfect for social events such as wedding reception. I really loved the experience.
Money worthy hotel. Good location, comfortable bedding
Very calm and relaxing hotel in the center of London
Breakfast where in topclass. The staff where very polite and helpful.
The hotel offer free wifi
I stayed a week there and found the level of service to be generally good. My towel heater wasn't working and nobody fixed the situation until I called the front desk. But other than that this is quite a pleasant hotel with a wonderful location close to the theaters.
Having said this, one incident really upset me. On Saturday I checked out of and paid for room 321 using my overseas credit card. When the receptionist processed my card payment, she had simply pressed Enter without consulting me on which currency I wanted to use. I asked her twice if I was being charged in sterling pounds and twice she assured me this was so. After looking over the receipt and still unclear about this, I checked with my friends at the airport. That's when I could confirm she had picked my national currency on my behalf.
This is upsetting. This means I potentially paid more money than I should and also have lost my credit card points for overseas purchases. I have stayed a week in your hotel so we are talking about quite a sum.
I do think you need to coach your receptionist to always ask your guests which currency they want to use. They are not in a position to decide on the guest's behalf. Remember that when I had double checked with her - literally - twice I had been assured I had paid in British pounds. Clearly this was misrepresentation.
I left this same feedback a day ago on your Facebook page but there has been no response.
Good but not perfect afternoon tea, too little sandwiches and too much sweet.
A lovely hotel to drink and eat in, quite pricey though as with all 5* hotels.
Top class hotel. I always get treated very well here. Perfect location.
Great location, great choice at breakfast rooms a little dated but very clean.
Great staff, nice sized room, good toiletries offered. Pillows are a bit too soft, no real support from them. The room we were in was under a room where we hear people moving furniture around at all hours of the night so don't stay in room 126.
Staff are pleasant, friendly and professional and the place is clean.
This hotel was very nice. My room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was very nice/modern. Hotel staff members were pleasant , professional and made my stay delightful. I really enjoyed "high tea" in the Executive Lounge (daily). The lounge was always well stocked and the food was delicious.
I JUST HAD A FRIEND RETURN FROM UK,WITH
PICS OF HIS WEEKEND AT THE WALDORF IN ALDWYCH,HE REALLY ENJOYED HIS STAY IN THIS UNIQUE EDWARDIAN HOTEL.
REMINDED ME WHEN I DID THE SAME IN THE
SIXTIES,HAD A LOVELY MEAL IN THE MAIN DINING ROOM, IT IS SO CLOSE TO EVERYTHING
ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE INTO THEATRE,
DRURY LANE IS ON THE DOORSTEP, AND A NINE
IRON FROM MY FAVOUTITE PUB NEXT TO THE
SAVOY, "" THE COALHOLE"" HE PAID THAT A VISIT AS WELL, LOOKING AT HIS PICS, NOT MUCH CHANGE I SAY
Nice atmosphere, something you can feel with every cell
Restaurant with amazing food and very lovely service.
Hotel amazing .Staff was fantastic .Breakfast was great a must s the kiwi and spinach juice .Hotel is in a great location for all the theatre's a must is The Musical of Tina Turner so good I would like to see again.
We booked this for a honeymoon night. The hotel was extremely slow in preparing our room, and we almost missed our dinner reservation as a result. The Executive Lounge Manager, Kenzie, was the only saving grace with that issue. She was phenomenal. Outside of her, the level of service just didn't seem to be on par with what you would expect with am upscale hotel. I was surprised at how much they didn't seem prepared for being at full occupancy for a weekend night. Especially since this was a nice hotel in central London. It wasn't a bad experience, we just expected more.
I had a birthday meal here last week, upon entering, the hotel looked nice as we were led through lovely seating areas presenting perfect ambience, this unfortunately wasn't to last, as we soon entered the main dining area. Both I and my friend were instantly taken back by the uninspiring decor and lighting, which we both commented on. The starter was very disappointing (cold tasteless mackerel presented with a garnish of pepper medley), again we were both disappointed. Mains (chicken option) was quite tasty although I struggled to find the sweet potatoes on the plate. My chocolate dessert was a delectable delight. Great choice of Prosecco! The waiter was friendly but sadly I wouldn't recommend this place.
I spoiled myself and my girlfriend with a weekend at this Waldorf celebrating our anniversary. It was worth every penny. First of all you can't dream for a better location - the Covent Garden is next door and all major theathres are around. The building has exceptional aura and the magic of the luxury. In addition to all this the staff is experienced, intelligent and had done everything for us to feel at home.
Oh yes. So wish I'd taken my camera to breakfast. I walked in and thought Beauty and the Beast (well we are) the ballroom. Oh wow. Food great. Staff sound for a posh place. There knowledge of cocktails is outstanding. Mojitos yes please. A guy to carry your luggage and and guy tinkling the ivories but don't expect him to bang out : on mother Kellys doorstep "
Expensive but hay ho I'm worth it
Nice experience spending a whole day here for a conference. Conference area is wide and welcoming. Service was just perfect.
Great place . Great location and ofcourse truly europe.
Went yesterday and had the star menu, (same the previous Saturday) service was fantastic however the food, (chicken w)as tough and not as tasty as the previous week, we also never received our gift at the end like stated on menu and we got previous week. A little touch I know but these little things make a difference..
Went for gin tasting and afternoon tea. The staff were lovely, very informative and made this a lovely experience
