Disappointing gym for the Waldorf. Steam room was shut also. Staff nice though
Service was slow because it was busy but a wonderful place
Waldorf Hilton Hotel was amazing loved my.overnight stay xx
You need to visit the hotel to understand how lovely and beautiful hotel it is.
Small rooms, very dated, location it's best feature
I have been here to attend a Business seminar. Very well located and connected around the central London. Surrounded by few Embassy's around. Very good place to stay if paid by company or if you can afford :-)
We used to go here regularly for Sunday afternoon tea. The tea was scrumptious and the service was fine. There was a pianist playing classical music, which was soothing and unobtrusive.
Rooms with foreign charge points. Speakers in the bathroom
Fantastic location and staff. Everything was in walking distance. Hotel facilities were of high standards. Wouldo love to visit again. Maybe a bigger better room next...if the price is right.
Beautiful decor, great customer service, lots of smiles from staff. Presentation of food was amazing.
The hotel staff is incredibly helpful and friendly!! We loved that the doorman wears a bowler hat. The rooms were clean but we were glad that we booked 2 rooms for our family of 4 because they are small by US standards. The beds were very comfortable and everything in the room functioned well for us. They do also have USB ports which was very nice!! You can find a Starbucks and Pret A Manger within a block walking distance plus the Duke of Wellington Pub is across the corner and has delicious British food. We would definitely stay at the Waldorf Hilton again!
It is near the theater district with lots of attractions within walking distance. The front desk is very helpful but the breakfast staff seemed rush. The rooms are nice though as with all European hotels it is difficult to cool down the room.
Beautiful and listen to the history of the faith, the city is worth knowing ... although the problem is that there is too much poverty for such a large society ... they should solve it or at least try ... !!!!
This hotel has seen a better day's. We stayed at 2 diffrent rooms. 1 had sink problems and table was filthy. The 2nd room had an electric socket half out of the wall.
Excellent service throughout my stay. Superb room and facilities in a quiet part of the hotel as requested at time of booking. Oh - and the cocktails are rather good too! Thoroughly recommended.
Old hotel. There is no amenity, I just feel that there is a room.
Had a wonderful stay here with excellent accommodation and a meal in their lovely dining room which was delicious
The staff was absolutely top notch, and I m saying that as someone who lives in hotels. We arrived at 10:00 am to drop off our bags until check in and they were able to just check us in early instead. The rooms are very nice and up to date. The best hotel breakfast you ll ever have. They were also very helpful with how to get around the city and how to use the public transportation there. Highly recommend.
Great place to have dinner, great service & really good food.
Room was a bit stark. Good service but one of cakes was frozen!
Fantastic again, staff remember everything, I don't know how they do it! Wonderful place
Located near Covent Garden. In walking distance to all tourist attractions. Club was small but good.
I didn t stay here, so I can t really comment on that. But the coffee shop in the hotel is lovely and is a perfect venue for a ladies brunch. It is situated right in the heart of the city, right next to the theater district and Covent Garden. The hop on and hop off bus is stopped right in front of the hotel. Right across from the beautiful Strand.
Great location. Book an executive room because then you get unlimited access to the executive lounge!!
Opulent English afternoon tea experience, live music, harpist, didn't like the added service charge and add ons when it came to the bill at the end of a lovely afternoon
It's Christmas Day. Nothing was open in London- well, except the hotels. We were able to sit down in the bar and lounge and had a late lunch. It was a packed place, too. I ordered a fish and chips. I asked for salt and vinegar. Yes, they got salt and pepper only. That was how good old Wardolf served fish and chips - and yes quite expensive, too. Yes, I needed salt and vinegar because the fish tasted so flat.
Fantastic. Made to feel very welcome. Only popped in for a drink and a relax.
Very covid safe
The food was delicious. The managers and waiters provided splendid service. Highly recommended place to visit x
Odd atomosphere, OK service and food. Singer and guitarist in bar very good.
We tried to book a meal on a Sunday and was amazed to find that only the bar is open for Sunday lunch - we thought this was a five star hotel, silly us. We didn't fancy propping up the bar ! - We guess the hotel makes my money from afternoon tea's ! - so anyway we booked Claridge's where they have all-day dinning.
Went to the Waldorf with my daughter, my son's fiance and her mum. This was a mothers day gift from the family. It was amazing, we had a glass of prosecco to start, then tea, finger sandwiches, savoury biscuits with savoury toppings. The cakes and scones were lovely. The waiter was friendly and made us feel special.
There was a lady playing the harp while we were eating, which was great. Would definitely recommend.
It was nice but I wouldn't see it as 5 star and other Hilton hotels in London are nicer and a lot less money.
I visited this hotel when the company I work for (Julia Charles Event Management) installed their Christmas decorations. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a brilliant location. The staff couldn't be more helpful and their customer service was exceptional.
The jazz singer and her guitar player were stunning to look at and listen to
Not luxurious . Staff is great. Bar is expensive and pompous.
The unbeatable situation. We had a problem and they solved it when we got angry
Attended an awards lunch. Food and service both great. Atrium a lovely space for drinks beforehand.
We visited for afternoon tea which was wonderful. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious.
Staff very helpful and very clean and tidy definitely worth the money and the over all experience
Riedel wine tasting in Adelphi suite, nice big room and professional service. Palm court was beautiful too.
Our family stayed a week in Hilton Waldorf. I reserved a two double bed or a superior room with a Main Street view almost a year in advance. After a late check-in because our room wasn't ready, we got into a small room with beds attached with no room between them with no view. After multiple calls and getting ignored, the front desk promised changing the room in few days because the hotel is full and no vacancy for the room that we were promised a year in advance. Also promised to get a discount. Our room never got available and hotel denied the promised discount. During the checkout, I got an option to charge in dollars or pounds. I noticed the dollar exchange rate was about 4% over that day's market exchange rate. I asked being charged in pound and I signed the credit card charge in pounds. I thought I'm going getting charged in ponds but I was charged in dollar on the fraudulent exchange rate. I would have never expected to get scammed by Hilton. Thinking such a reputable chain hotel would never treat a customer like that. Keep your guards up and don't trust the name.
superb hotel. good bars. jazz music every Friday in the bar. you simply cannot go wrong here.
I had stayed previously at the Waldorf Hilton in NY and after a fantastic stay in NY, we decided to stay at the Waldorf in London. My brother and his wife were with us. We were EXTREMELY disappointed!! We got to our room to find it unbelievably hot. Then we noticed one double bed - we had reserved a King bed. I tried to turn the TV on and the remote, which didn't have a back on it, didn't work! When I went down to the desk to complain, I was told that I had a "Standard" room and my brother had reserved a "Deluxe" room. He had a very nice room with a king bed. I guess I never thought that the Waldorf had ANYTHING "standard and for $300/night, I wouldn't have expected this! Make sure when you make reservations, you clarify if you're getting the Waldorf type room or the "cheap" room.
Lovely meal and just look at that cheesecake !!! Lovely hotel, friendly staff had a great day thank you
A bit tired in places but the location makes up for it
This is a restaurant experience. The food was poor for the prices you were asked to pay. The service in the restaurant was inadequate and disappointing. The whole experience was an anticlinax and I would state that just because it's expensive, that doesn't make it good.
Lovely food, excellent service and as it was my wife's birthday there was a nice surprise!
Great experience, lived up to expectations. Room large and spotless, all staff encountered were friendly and the breakfast choice was delicious (apart from the soggy hash browns)
So ye olde world. Such a shame having all the scaffolding "rebuilding 115yrs of history" around it. Inside is like stepping into the 1920-1940's. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The disabled wet room was excellant. Looking forward to going again next year.
TO ALL GUESTS: Please don't leave any tips when you check out, try to give it in hand to the maid who cleans your room or just don't leave it at all. The supervisors including the housekeeping manager STEAL all the tips that all of you leave for the maid who always made sure your room looked perfect. The manager sends all the supervisors to collect the tips of all departure rooms before the hotel maids come to the building and then they share the tips between the management. Sad but true. Thank you.
They do great herbal teas and a bread plate big enough for two. They could do more for their loungenerous in terms of eats and finger food. Courteous service but had trouble with the card macherine for a regular master card. Hhhhm.
Hotel is everything you would expect from an historic Waldorf. The staff are exceptional, the building is majestic and centrally located, and the rooms are well-maintained, quaint, and charming, even if small and a bit dated. A tour guide told us that the hotel was designed by the same person that designed the Titanic, which (regardless of its truth) accurately describes the hotel - the building is really the main attraction as the Queen room felt like a small bedroom on a luxurious ship. We paid extra for access to the executive club and that also compensated for the size of the room. There were lots of food options and grocery stores nearby the hotel and the main London attractions were easily reached by foot, bus, or car; though the Tube was not as close. Concierge was very helpful as well. I would certainly recommend this hotel, especially for a short stay in the heart of London.
Love the ambience can't wait to stay in for a day or 2. Beautiful
Excellent location, Greated by a doorman with a smile, staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They will call a cab or make a reservation for you. The bar has a good selection of wines beers and spirits at London price's!! very clean hotel and the double rooms are nice and spacious. Great water pressure on the shower. Breakfast has a broad selection for you to choose from, hot cold, continental etc. The bar area is a nice social space for drinks and the restaurant has a good selection and nice atmosphere. *****
We celebrated a 50th birthday with afternoon tea at the Waldorf yesterday. The staff were amazing, very accommodating. The birthday cake was bought to the tune of Happy Birthday played on the harp and piano. A very nice touch. We want to thank them for a lovely afternoon. A beautiful traditional English hotel in the heart of London.
Fab hotel staff excellent. Room excellent. We would stay there again
