Beautiful vacation at the resort, and the staff is wonderful.
I went here for a conference in the fall and the scenery was just lovely. The service of the staff was also impeccable!
This place is filled with fancy rich snobs who come here to belong to some sort of 1 type society.
This place is incredibly restorative. The food is amazing, the staff is so friendly and super helpful. I have no complaints, honestly. A perfect place for a corporate, family, or personal retreat.
Lovely views. Meal was good. Service was not over the top, could have been a little more attentive.
The Sagamore exceeded our expectations in every area. Food, service, entertainment, convenience and kid friendly as well as adult evening live music. Stunning views. No place in all of Lake George or Bolton Landing that is better. If you want the best of everything and are willing to pay for it you will get it here.
The conference facilities at the sagamore are nicely laid out and served their purpose adequately for the conference I attended. The rooms were clean and well kept.
A truly wonderful experience. A beautiful resort with a good menu of activities even in the winter - better if there's snow. It was a family friendly weekend.
I think customer service should be a bit more of a higher priority than i felt was given. If a guest says they're is a problem in the room then that problem should be fixed upon their return. For the cost to stay i felt service was lacking.
Fantastic staff and management - we love this place and visit frequently. The pools, the gym, The Morgan (a replica 1900's touring ship), and the restaurants are fabulous. And the food - well, they hit it out of the Park!
Hotel has beautiful views and lots to do on the property for all ages. The rooms were a little bit small and there were areas of the hotel that could have used some TLC. A nice place though overall.
Past it bye one the lake George steam boat ride way out of my price range per night
The best view in the area! This quaint hotel is the perfect place for a lovely weekend retreat. Indoor pool and jacuzzi are perfect in winter and it is great to get a drink by the fire place. They are proposing cute activity from historic tour of the hotel to ginger bread house making or visit of the kitchen..
Had an amazing time during my stay. Entire staff goes above and beyond for the experience of the guest. Beautiful location. Clean rooms. Towels arrived at my door no more than 3 minutes after I got off the phone. Can't be beat!
The physical location has great potential, but they do not own the island, and visitors will be warned to not wander far from the parking lot . This is not a couples place, they cater to large parties and the service, in every aspect, reflects that e.g. catered food and seasonal staff (looks great, but very, very disappointing) including their higher tier restaurants.
We reserved a water view room and paid $$$$, many months in advance, and after arriving early, and navigating their service desk for way too long (seeing a couple rooms after they gave us a view of the restaurant exhaust system), we ended up with a sub-par room, with a very limited view. Ultimately we found a way to enjoy our visit to lake George, but it was not because of the Sagamore, way too much work, and not, by any interpretation, what we expected and wanted. I would never go here again.
FYI - The resort asked for an opinion, (email survey) which we gave - in detail, not just to be critical, but to be helpful, and they never responded. If your not hosting a wedding for nice pictures, don't come here.
Went to the ice bar at the sagamore, wasnt bad, weather was warm, drinks were somewhat expensive but delicious!
The Pavilion restaurant and the Salon at The Sagamore deserve a zero. If not I will be forced to give it a one star. My daughter had her wedding rehearsal dinner at The Pavilion Restaurant. There were 9 guests in attendance and 7 dinners were returned for various reasons. I am the brides mother and I ordered the special at $52.00, Sea Bass. after waiting almost 90 minutes it arrived raw. I literally had bread and butter for dinner. To compound the problem we had salon appointments the following day for 4 of us. "Should have known" One persons hair was done well and the bride (my daughter) had her hair done by 2 or maybe 3 stylist's (for lack of a better word) . Needless to say we went back to where we were staying (Thank God not the Sagamore) and helped each other do our hair. My other daughter spoke to management at the Salon and was told she would "look into it" and she was dismissed. I will most definitely post my displeasure on every social media I am associated with. As an after thought I did not see any cosmetology licenses displayed anywhere in the Salon as is common and typical in NY State. Enough said!!! My hairdresser continued to engage other employees as to what product she should use to fix my hair as her first attempt was an epic fail. So was her second attempt. They made it clear that they only worked their seasonally and had other jobs that were not Salon related.
Overpriced massages ruined my experience here. Awful massage by weak uncomfortable older woman. Me and my wife left feeling like a 40 dollar massage in Manhattan is better at the asian spots.
I love the location of this hotel, all of the amenities, restaurants that are on the grounds, the wait staff is very professional and friendly. The people that were guests there, were very friendly as well. I felt very relaxed and, I could sit and just enjoy the spectacular view from where I was.
This place is an amusement park. We left early because we couldn t handle paper thin walls and views of the parking lot. When they say family resort they should warn you that children outnumber adults at the Sagamore. Staff looks like they re trying and views are beautiful.
Attempted to cancel my $1000 reservation in 14 days - no answer - called back within 13 days - and was told that I was outside the policy cancellation date, and, regardless of a medical family emergency, I was stuck with the reservation and would not be able to cancel. Horrible customer service, would never ever look to stay here! Everyone beware!
Third time this year at the Sagamore and it is always a great time at he Sagamore.
Service not what you would expect st a high end resort. Amazing view of the lake
Had dinner here right after the summer season ended. The place is incredible. I would so love to stay here for a weekend during the spring or summer season. They have a small beach, fishing from the docks, lots of outdoor restaurants. It's really nice.
Location simply beautiful. Facilities overall good. Gym facilities not at level one would expect of an Opal facility. Housekeeping....at best adequate. At 700 per night for a standard room I expected more. Rather disappointed.
The room was very poor, no sound proofing, noisy in all directions, doors slamming all the time.
The stay was ruined because of that. The service and food was excellent but that means nothing if I can't relax in the room. I felt like I was staying in a cheap roadside motel. Overall, stay somewhere else and go to a great restaurant.
beautiful setting.. great restuarent service but the food could be better. lobster roll wss more bread than lobster , same for po boy sandwich. Great brunch drinks.you cant beat the view thougj
Great place to stay. The staff, the accommodations and of course the location in the middle of the Adirondacks, who could ask for more!
Incredible that's all I can say absolutely incredible I would recommend it to family and friends maybe a little pricey but it's definitely worth it
The best views in the region. Good restaurants. Good staff. Nice rooms. Make sure to insist on lake front room 2 or 3 floor above the main patio facing south for the best views from your room. Great for families. Lot's of kids so eat late. Plenty of quiet spots in the resort, even with all the children. I would not honeymoon here regardless of the beauty. Worth 5 stars but too noisy for older couples or honeymooners.
It's a beautiful historical hotel on a small island in Lake George. The old world charm and scenery cannot be beat. It is pricey even in the off-season but so worth it. The rooms are cozy. The king sized bed is a bit on a the soft side. The service is impeccable and the staff are friendly.
Labella vita restaurant guaranteed my 78 year old father for a special celebration of our family for 8 people for our night tonight outside on the terrace veranda and they just told him they couldn t honor the reservation. NOT WELL RUN FROM TOP DOWN, the DIRECTOR OF RESTAURANTS WAS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE SAGAMORE NOR RESTAURANTS TO ANYONE. WE HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR over 50 years. NOT GOOD.
The views were nice, but the food, dishes, and service were mediocre.
My group of 4 people decided to have a drink in the lobby bar at mid afternoon. The cocktails and coffee were well made and the view was nice. The staff were slow to fill water and it took an extended length of time for a fountain drink to be delivered. The bar was not busy to suggest the wait was due to that. The wait staff that we had made point to note to all tables she was waitressing for the first time and was in her second week. I feel the value for the drinks and view were good, but the staffing was lacking.
The Sagamore never fails us and this year, given the circumstances of the pandemic I am very impressed at the way the Sagamore responded. They allow only guests onto the property this year (I felt so much better knowing this when we arrived). Casie, who checked us in was AMAZING. She was so good to us. She is attentive, kind, caring, and made sure we were taken care of to the utmost ability. The property is well maintained and super clean!
Ice bar was crowded but great music and lots of fun
I visited to officiate a wedding as I have many times in the past. The vista is amazing. Nice just to sit and have a beverage and breathe it in. The staff members are usually very helpful.
Wonderful resort on Lake George. Highly recommended all year round!
Had the breakfast buffet and sat by the bar, it was very nice and the food was good even though we got there 20 minutes before they closed.
What a beautiful and historic place. Just stopped in to gawk, but I'm certain the service and amenities here are top notch based on my conversations with the staff.
Hotel and setting was nice, but expensive, especially considering half of the resort is seasonal. Our trip in April seemed like a waste.
WARNING to all guests, if you are booking a reservation and told you can cancel they will charge you a fee....... two days ago I book a reservation holding two rooms for New Years Eve, and was told I had until today to cancel. Called today to cancel and I am now told I will have to pay a $35 fee for each room held. The reservation Supervisor Mason was not very nice. What a shame, I really did like staying at this hotel chain!!!!!!!!!!!! Will not be staying at any of their resorts again.....all over $70, poor customer service! It is just an indicator of how you will be treated if you have a problem at the resort! The biggest disappointment is that we have spent a few thousand at their hotels and this is how they treat repeat customers.
Beautiful property. We enjoyed our evening there at the Ice Bar and inside for some live music.
Good food, beautiful location. Affordable in spite of its tremendous setting. Fun gift shop.
I had an amazing experience while staying here. Our room was a little outdated, in my opinion, but other than that it was clean most importantly. The experience overall was amazing with the view and the great restaurants.
Rented a condo for our "Girls Weekend". Spaceous enough to comfortably accomodate 8 people for socializing and sleeping. We bring our own food and use the kitchen in our condo unit. Beds are always comfortable, bathrooms luxurious. The fireplace in the condo adds a layer extra coziness. We enjoyed spa treatments, took advantage of the pool and hot tub too! Views are gorgeous especially with fall folliage. Depending on your tastes the restaurant in the main building does serves breakfast. We just find it over priced and serve staff not alway up to par with party of 8. Depending on the time of year, you can also take advantage of the tour boat ride, ice bar, live entertainment & smores on the patios. We've had 5 different "weekends" at various times of the year and loved it each time.
Beautiful Hotel and grounds. Lots for the kids to do so Mom & Dad can let their hair down and relax too. Food is great but the scenery steals the show. $$$$
Great time at the Ice Bar. Can't wait till next year!
Its a beautiful property. Not a riffraff place. Should go for a breakfast if you are not staying there.
Food and service was great. View of Lake George even better!
This is my first experience at the Sagamore and it did NOT live up to expectations. The first day, we had no housekeeping service during the morning while we were out. When returning around 12:30, we were surprised the room was not cleaned and asked to have housekeeping performed during afternoon. The front desk PROMISED to have it done immediately. However, upon return to the room at 4, no housekeeping services were performed. Very disappointing experience; including being lied to face-to-face by the front desk personnel. A discomforting start to our stay.
Couldn't get into the room at check-in signing up for kids club annoying; beautiful grounds & awesome room once we got into it
First time and won't be the last. Great facility, friendly staff very relaxing. 2 thumbs up!
Perfect setting for lunch on the water. Great food too.
Well, we went there just to see the island. The area looked very secured and comfortable. Also, super clean and organized.
It's a beautiful hotel with a priceles view great staff
If you are in the area, I recommend spending the day at the Sagamore. The great food, drinks, the lake, pools, relaxation and shopping.
Simply the best Lake George experience there is. Others don't even come close.
Great service and very nice. Food was amazing and the staff is so polite.
This was probably the 5th or 6th time we ate at the Pavillion and unfortunately our worst experience. The wait staff were good but unfortunately all our meals were exceedingly terrible. The chicken marsala had no flavor whatsoever and the Mahi Mahi was also very bland and tasted frozen. The view of the lake was great but can be had by a number of other, much more deserving restaurants in town. Please step up your food game Sagamore.
