Fantastic staff! Very attentive. We held our Manager's Retreat there and it was great!

The grounds are breath taking. A great escape from the city life. I feel that I could be more upscale. At some point the resort decided to be kid and family friendly. I think there should be a strict no cell phone policy in the common area and a dress code hats and sleeveless shirts in the dining area is ridiculous. There needs to be a hot tube and or pool for adults only. I believe that adult friendly and family-friendly can go together.

It is a beautiful setting, on Lake George. The grounds are beautiful. It is not a great place for people with mobility issues. Lots of stairs to the lake, pool, etc
The food is very, very good. We had the brunch which was fantastic. They could have had more waiters and waitresses, as we waited a bit for coffee and juice.
The front desk staff were not five star, at all. Very disappointing.
Our room was very, very nice. We stayed in one of the lodges.

This place is one off a kind so nice,and sits right on the lake.My name is Jeff from Jeff's lake George fishing charters.The staff goes out off there way for me,when I pick up there clients to go fishing they shuttle them right down to my boat.They also bring down coolers off drinks and box lunches if ordered,witch they really like.There service is top notch, and I recommend them to all that ask wear to stay on lake George.

You need to have lunch by the water! Such a great location with views of Lake George

The spa is ran by a bunch of incompetent girls who are unorganized and rude. Ruined our entire stay.

The rooms were comfortable, we were in villas and we walked to the pools, in general the pools were clean and everything was very comfortable.

Classic historical lodge on an island on Lake George. Nice and cozy on a winter day.. fireplace was welcoming. The mister Brown restaurant had a good turkey dinner plate. (Enough to split a plate)

Enjoyed a wedding here. Good was good, and the shops and bars are really nice. Can imagine it being even better in the spring or summer

Beautiful Hotel with an exquisite staff. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful view. It is an expensive hotel but worth to try once.

A beautiful Grand hotel located on Lake George NY. Very elegant lobby and grounds overlooking beautiful Lake George. A must visit even if you only have dinner.

I must say when I drove up I was not impressed compared to the pictures online, but when you enter the building you can feel the elegance. Then you walk to the back of the building and it is very impressive. You have to take the boat tour on the Morgan. It was great and you really see how beautiful the Sagamore really is. Will be going back often.

Group dinner at The Pavillion, fantastic! Service, food, and the view were impeccable!

I just left a weekend here with 8 of my closest girlfriends. Everything was PERFECT! The boat ride, the restaurant, drinks on the dock - I can't even begin to choose my favorite. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing truly a great experience and fun for the whole family

Great food, stunning views and nice grounds for walking.

This is a first class, 5 star resort in EVERY sense. The main hotel sits on a hill above Lake George, & the view from the back terrace of the lake & of the Adirondack Mts. is absolutely spectacular. The style of the hotel is a combination of old fashioned elegance w/ a bit of woodsy & nautical touches added.

The amenities are terrific (incl. FREE rides on the resort's large boat); there are numerous activities available (incl.stuff for kids), & the food is beyond compare.

Above all this, though, is the service - the staff at the The Sagamore is very friendly, extremely professional, VERY helpful, & they are all over the place - management does not skimp on hiring more than enough people to do all the jobs that there are to perform, & you never have to wait to find someone to help you. We experienced a young man literally RUNNING to get a golf cart to give us a ride down the hill to the dock area (as some of our party couldn't walk that far); the young lady at The Emporium gift shop saved a Sun. NY Times for me two days ahead of time, & literally handed it to me right as I walked up to the counter; & the front desk had envelopes & stamps, & offered to mail our items FOR us.

The Sagamore is not inexpensive, but in my view, it's worth every penny.

I have stayed at the Sagamore multiple times and this will be my last. The grounds are beautifully. The hotel
Was so over booked and Packed with a new different element staying at the hotel. The pool and lake ground were left a mess with beer bottles, drink cups and food left out all over the grounds it was a disappointment was never like this. Majority of the seating and umbrellas around the grounds are beat up and not working or just look old
And worn out. The outdoor and pool service staff for food and drink was very slow. Most of the bartenders are rude and slow. The dinner service was also slow. The food quality has gone down. I had to wait 1/2 hr to pay my bill when i asked many times to pay.
I had lake view bedroom with suite. The A/C was not work and the room was about 80 degrees. I had to ask twice to get someone to fix. They put in a window A/C unit it did help but that s not what the Sagamore should be. To top it off we went to check out and leave my wife stepped into a pothole and rolled her ankle bad when stepping off the curb in the front of main entrance.

What more can be said, excellent excellent place to stay!

Outstanding service, great restaurants, and a beautiful view.

We love it. It is becoming an annual early fall family tradition. Our toddlers love the flowers, steps, lake, and space in the townhomes. We adults love the buffet breakfast on the big porch and the stars over the lake and islands at night. Classic and historic.

Stayed here in the winter off season. Overall the resort seemed really nice we had dinner in one of the restaurants and was really good. The rooms were a little dated but otherwise a great stay. They had an outdoor fire with live music and free smoores. That was a nice touch for winter.

My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights in a lodge room. It was a very average room. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was okay, very basic. The decor was very Adirondack which was nice.

The landscaping at the resort was absolutely gorgeous. It was very picturesque and it lives up to the photos online.

The front staff checked us in and answered all of our questions. I noticed most of all of the guests and staff were responsible enough to adhere to the hotels guidelines for face masks. They had plenty of hand sanitizer stations throughout the main hotel and common areas.

We ate breakfast at the open air breakfast buffet with beautiful views of the lake in the morning. The staff served the food and drinks which made it acceptable to us to eat at that buffet. The food was great, my only complaint would be that the maple syrup served was packaged condiment maple syrup. But due to the current circumstances of covid, I understand why they were serving prepackaged maple syrup. I just really like actual maple syrup, it s my own little pet peeve.

We ate at la Bella vita and we were outside initially but as nightfall came the temperature plunged so our waitress was easy going enough to let us move inside. We chose to be outside initially so it was relieving to not have to suffer through that.

Overall the hotel and staff were great, the guests didn t complain or make a scene about covid from what I could tell. I highly recommend to people of all age groups to stay here for a nice get away. Lake George has a lot to offer.

The Sagamore was a phenomenal experience. We didn't stay in the main house unfortunately but the accommodations were very good. The food was excellent, the lemon pancakes with blueberries....unbelievable. It's a great place where you can find something for everyone, water sports, fishing, boating or just relaxing by the lake... that was my favorite. Beautiful scenic views. Can't wait to return.

There is not a better hotel on Lake George than the Sagamore. ive been taking my family there every fall for the past 6 years and wouldn't dream of staying at another hotel. form the food to the staff and the property/views all are hands down second to none. Keep up the great work you have a customer for life!!

Love everything about this resort! At first I was skeptical, but was soon won over when I entered my lodge to a beautiful double suite with fireplace. I stayed during the winter months which gave it a whimsical and elegant air! Would definitely return.

Really nice view for breakfast outdoor seating with heat great food

Spa- pedi, not so good, soft rock music playing not sure why there wasn't relaxing music playing, tub would not drain, trying not to think about how it was cleaned with draining issues, polish had to be heavily diluted. Will not go again. Was not worth the money. Staff was very pleasant.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!! I stayed during April 2019 and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and there WASN T a fire. Friday at 11 pm and Sunday MORNING at 3:36 am??? Never will this resort see my face again. Sarah, thank you for your service I loved the food and may God continue to bless you .

Our 4th trip to Lake George and our 3rd stay in the Sagamore. Not cheap but one of those places where you will enjoy the memories long after you have forgotten about the money. Our first stay in one of the lodges. Am sure it was worded accurately but we hed the impression we were getting a lake view. Lodge 4 looks toward the lake but you can not see it. Will be back.

The rooms were great and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great place to stay.

Had the morning buffet, very nice place. Food is decent for a buffet. It is a nice experience.

We had a delightful time on the lake and back at the hotel for dinner. It felt like an exclusive country club and yet everyone was nice and welcoming.

Have been coming here since I was a child. Always fantastic.

My boyfriend and I were riding around and we went up by the Sagamore. I wondered what it look like so we drove up to the building. There was a man from the Sagamore out front and he looked like he was directing people. I told him I never been there and wanted to see what it look like. He told us to park up a little bit and he brought us in and told us all the areas to go and he let us go around the whole place and look at everything. He even came up to us a couple times and told us other stuff about it. It is absolutely beautiful there. My boyfriend and I are definitely going to go back and stay there. We had quite an awesome experience!

Horrible customer service. Make sure you book any resort amenities prior to your actual reservation as no one will ever answer the phone or return a voicemail to get you in... really disappointed especially since it s supposed be a resort yet I can t use any of the amenities cause they booked out . Don t waste your time or money here!!!

Awful. We came for a wedding. They refused to accept a request that we have our room ready before 4 even though our ceremony started at 4. We showed up at 2:30 and they didn t have the room ready until 3:15 which really left us about 20 minutes for the two us to shower and get ready. No glassware or mugs in the room. There are only paper cups wrapped in plastic, like a Motel 6. The wedding itself was poorly run. There was a lot of awkward down time. The entrees came out cold. We were loading up the car the next morning at 10:55 and discover our key cards have been deactivated. We call the front desk from outside the room and are on hold for 5 minutes. I inform them of what has happened and they tell me the card has been deactivated because it was 11:01.

Our stay at the Sagamore was made complete by the pub manager Liz. Her warm disposition really made us feel at home. She worked tirelessly to insure we were seated promptly. Liz is the best Brown s manager! The staff and food were amazing!

The view was pretty nice. The boat ride on the Morgan was fun. Some of the staff were friendly, some we're very rude. The food at the restaurants was good. Drinks were ok at the bar. The rooms are not at all worth what they charge. Dirty and outdated rooms. Cobwebs in all of the corners. The key card access for the rooms barely worked. The parking situation is terrible. I booked my room online and was billed $50 more than what I had booked for. Next time, I'll probably rent one of the nearby cottages and just visit the Sagamore for the view, food, and boat ride.

We stayed for one night for a birthday celebration. The grounds, buildings, food and views are amazing. A luxurious feel.

It looks like a beautiful place from the front and Lake side but I can't give it 5 stars for the following reasons.
1. Our room at the lodge had exposed sheetrock in the bathroom most likely from a previous leak and it was not repaired. The room also had some spider webs in the corners which we cleaned when we got into the room. So I question how the room was cleaned when they turnover the rooms, guest to guest.
2. There was no temperature checks at check in and in many cases, it was very crowded. Many guests were not wearing masks in the lobby area and the last thing I wanted to do was confront guests when it is the hotel's job to ensure the safety of all guests.
3. We made a reservation for our families at the Italian restaurant on the main level specifically for outdoor seating (well in advance) and when we arrived, we were told they could not seat us outside. We were told indoor seating was our only option. I was pretty upset at this point and made it clear that was not acceptable so they separated our group and put us outside at two different tables (even though there were other families with large/joining tables). Still not what we had confirmed when we made the reservation so I asked if we could join the tables so our families could sit together. The waitress understood our perspective and went to speak with management and eventually joined the tables. I give her 5 stars.
4. There was a fraudulent hotel room charge on our bill which they removed.
5. There was a bee issue near the outdoor eating area. I saw a guest get stung in front of me and a waitress said they are aware of the issue but did not know how to solve it.
