Great place to host a formal event. Its the Ritz, what do you expect?

A wonderful luxury hotel that we've visited twice in the last 12 months. The rooms were beautiful, clean and well appointed with excellent toiletries. Service is fantastic. The restaurant and bar have wonderful options and excellent cocktails. Splurging for the lounge is worth it given the food and wine are outstanding. Our only knock on the hotel is that the last trip was noisy. The hotel was hosting a conference who's attendees were really letting their down. The result was a lot of late night noise. We didn't sleep through any of the 6 nights without waking up. We even moved rooms midway through the stay. Our previous trip didn't have that problem since we were in an end suite with only 1 shared wall.

Finally got to stay at a Ritz property and was overall disappointed. The property was beautiful and well maintained. The valet team were spot on and there were a few stand out staff, however not enough to distinquish paying more to stay at this property vs it's competitor across the marina. Overall, we didn't receive the famed "Ritz Experience" and won't pay more to stay here again.

Luxury hotel with exceptional service and amenities. Stellar location along the water and only ten minutes from the local airport. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Staff were incredibly attentive and handled any concern with discretion and speed. The pool and hot tub are available 24/7 allowing for late night swims. The hotel is located a quick 10 minute walk from the heart of downtown, and therefore having a car when visiting is not necessary. The Ritz also has a beach side property with a shuttle transporting guests each hour. The beach is luxurious with clear water both in the pool and ocean. Overall a top notch experience that I would recommend to friends and family.

I was not in that Hotel precisely, but if I have been in others of the same chain, there is a person named Ana G. Carballo employed in one of these hotels in Sarasota who has been publishing photos and videos without taking into account that the person who Accompanied had a marriage and a family for 20 years and for family reasons and not a couple conspired to destroy the marriage, he hoped that this prestigious hotel chain take into account that lack of respect in public is not acceptable, likewise this person does not I had the decency to respect a couple that is hosted by the simple fact of satisfying their whim, now is asking for friendship to my mother with the simple fact of continuing to hurt the sensitivity of my and my daughters, I have evidence to show if you request it. Resources Humans, thank you.

The venue was amazing the staff was very friendly. The food was a little disappointing but the drinks made up for it

Other than the nuisance of having to wear a mask, (not the fault of the RC), a standard Ritz stay, with excellent accommodations and service. Wonderful views of the inter coastal , marina and sunset.

Love the place very clean and one of the top luxurious hotel in this area. Their employees are awesome specially parking valet and front desk team.
I wish if I can give them 5 stars but I had issues with AC even though I reported but it never fixed. In general it s a quite place. I will give Jack Dusty restaurant in the lobby 3 stars only. Good taste ok

It's the Ritz Carlton what else needs to be said except go for the homemade chocolate chip cookies

Stayed here with my girl for an anniversary and it was top of the line I will be back here again for another get away

Had dinner at Jack Dusty's. We were outside the food and view were amazing.

Beautiful property, very attentive and wonderful staff. Made it all a stay to remember! We will be back again.

Great lunch at reasonable prices for a downtown hotel

The prices are steep everywhere - room rates, hotel bar, beach club...but I was beyond pleasantly surprised that I felt like I got every bit of my money's worth. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the customer service was also impeccable, and the beach club was amazing! Everything I would have wanted for a couple days away in paradise. We knew we were going to be arriving well before check-in time, and we let them know ahead of time and they were able to get us a room ready by 10 am on the day of check-in! We used the shuttle service to and from the beach club and to St. Armand's Circle each day, and it was extremely reliable. Even when the shuttle was completely full, so it had to pass us at the St. Armand's stop, the driver circled immediately back after he made his drop at the beach club, and picked us right back up rather than having us wait for the next shuttle.

The service at the beach club was wonderful. We were promptly given chairs and an umbrella right on the beach, as well as an ice bucket full of complimentary bottles of water. They had a full drink and food menu that they would serve to you right out at your beach chair. We spent a portion of the time also right up at the tiki bar to watch the hockey game, and the two bartenders, George and Derek, were incredibly friendly and also really fun. Awesome service!

We let the hotel know that we were there celebrating our 5 year anniverssary, and were so surprised to receive a free bottle of champagne as a gift! We also were able to check out the next morning, and leave our bags at the bag check, but then go spend the whole day back at the beach club until we were ready to head home. We can't wait for our next visit!

On Friday September 8th, I attended The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota Spa with a friend of mine for what I thought was a gift for a work function. From the moment we walked in the door the staff was incredible. Everything from our check-in, lounging time, our services (Massages, Facial, Manicure and Pedicure) as well as our lunch was not only extraordinary, but all of the staff at the spa and the restaurant were absolutely delightful and very attentive. From the moment you walk in the door the happiness and relaxation radiates throughout your entire visit.

Good hotel but the restaurwnt jack rusty was not at all perfect. Our whole family had stomach aches the whole day.
Our room never got cleaned and we had ro call house keeping to clean. I woukd stay here again but needs to be improved

Have visited throughout the years. Consistently offers great food and service. Suite accommodation comes with all the tidings: 3 different buffets .

The rooms could definitely be viewed as outdated especially for The Ritz. However, the service was exceptional. The concierge service went above and beyond by going to personally buy me a charger when I forgot mine at home.
The restuarant Jack Dusty served me the best meal of my entire life, leaving me still thinking about it. A must!

We were at the bar & had The Best Mojitos I have Ever Had (and that's a lot! Lol) Didn't eat there, nor stay there, so I have No Idea about that.

It's the Ritz, enough said. All the thoughtful little details and great amenities add up to a special vacation spot. Sometimes something simple like the valet putting cold waters in your car when they bring it around really speaks volumes to their attention to customer satisfaction. Would love to visit again.

I ve lived in Sarasota for 10 years and we finally decided to go to the Ritz! It was very nice all around, and the staff as usual are always caring.

The main pool area is slightly small, but if you have access to the beach club, it makes it totally worth it.

Just a quick walk away from some of the great Main Street restaurants.

The restaurant food choices are very limited. Ended up eating out for the last 2 evenings we were there. The hotel and room were impeccable.

Best filet ever! Excellent service and great moscow mule. Must go to again

Great experience there for our Cisco weekend every year. It is such a pleasure to get treated so well. Staff is incredibly friendly and concierge helpful.

Typically a great place to have Christmas party; however, this year wasn't as great. Not sure if DJ was hotel provided, but he was terrible and refused requests. Every other year we have had an after party but this year the bar decided to close early because they felt that the 20+ people there were not important enough to keep the bar open so they closed it 2 hours early... this is definitely not the service that I would expect from the Ritz...

It was a really really nice hotel, just wish it wasn't so expensive. If it wasn't I'd recommend everyone to stay there.

We loved our stay here. My husband took me here for a surprise weekend getaway, and this was our first time staying at a ritz Carlton hotel. It was spectacular! Even though, your not on the actual ocean you get a shuttle ride to the beach resort which wasnt bad at all. The service was really good too. Advise - If you are flying in, I would say don t bother renting a car if you aren t gonna explore really. The shuttle takes you to restaurants and stores that are nearby. :)

The ritz is always an excellent experience. From the moment I walked in Judson was there to welcome me with the upmost positive attitude. He was extremely accommodating and strayed the stay off with the quality you expect.The staff is great the food is great. A great experience.

Great hotel and great servive. You also get access to the Beach Club on Lido Beach which is also great. Highly recommend.

Incredible service. Beautiful facility. Only downsides were nasty Sarasota water and mattress that was just too soft (I'm just partial to firm mattresses)

Came for Marketing on Main event - staff was exceptionally helpful, the event was lovely, and I made some nice connections. The only complaint I really have for the event is the sound system was not very good, it would sometimes make screeching our humming noises, and even when it wasn't the music was much too loud for my taste (and didn't fit the style of the event).

The rooms are great. The staff! WOW!! The valet parking the best in the world.
The pool is absolutely phenomenal on a hot sunny day. All you're basic beverages and adult beverages that you care to drink. The view of the bay and those one time a day sunsets are so beautiful. You can view all of downtown Sarasota and as far as you can see. (Bradenton, Longboat Key, St. Armands Circle, SRQ Airport, some of the beaches, boats, kyaks, canoes, and even those dinner boat cruises or the fishing charters from Marina jacks) it's just unbelievable, especially on a clear sunny afternoon.
I don't know who takes care of the lawn around them buildings but it is immaculate.
The flowers are so fresh-looking and they even go as far as to paint the grass.

Very comfortable stay for the 2nd time last month. Service was wonderful. Only thing again is it seems like they. Red more staff by the pool on Saturday's. Sunday was perfect.

Last minute decision to grab a drink at the hotel bar. The service was great and great selection of drinks :)

We came here for a bachelorette party but of the relaxing at the spa and pool all day variety. The spa package is wonderful a massage or facial with a pedicure, full lunch and access to the grounds all day. While small, the spa is sufficient and the beverages, snacks, toiletries and facilities are wonderful. The lunch menu is limited but delicious, just be prepared to wait as service is a bit slow.
Speaking to the pool, it isn't huge considering the hotel itself is large but it's well-maintained. Pool service (chairs, towels, etc.) is a bit slow and the drinks were weak and at $15, I expected a bit more. Overall, great but just be prepared to not be overwhelmed by luxury. I would, however, return.

Mother's day brunch was incredible. We attended the buffet. As usual, the Ritz displayed amazing hospitality and a delicious spread of options. Easy to recommend! My mother and grandmother were very happy with their day.

Super excellent place for our conference. Facilities excellent, food superb, employees super efficient, pleasant, helpful, courteous. Parking for those of us not staying at the hotel was easily available on city street requiring only a 2-3 block walk.

Most beautiful hotel and beach club in Sarasota. Love it. Staff is great.

Absolutely first class service from top to bottom. It's so nice to hear people say, "my pleasure" instead of "no problem!" The views are terrific both at the main hotel and the beach club. It was fun to spend the day at the beach club. The red tide closed off beach access but we didn't smell anything. We would have liked to have had some music in the pool areas. Also, probably not a great idea to serve fried food to drunks in the pool.

My fiance and I went to a small wedding reception at The Ritz Carlton. It was beautifully done and everything tasted amazing. It was a small gathering but not lacking in class. Loved it and left very happy! Would certainly recommend.

Not a five star resort. Service staff is very nice but the service is slow everywhere. We had several issues during our stay so it was annoying. We did get compensated, but at this level I rather pay for great service.

It was my girlfriend and I s first time to Sarasota. The lobby and our room was filled with the scent of something so delightful I d like to bottle it and sell it myself. The staff was absolutely amazing. Lori at the private beach was the sweetest person ever, not only did she make sure our lounge chairs had the perfect towel/towel pillow set up and our drinks were cold and the best we ve ever experienced.. but she even took the time to personally write a hand written list of her favorite things to do here in this town. I will be coming back every year and 80% is because of this selfless human being. I am a business owner myself and she is every business owners dream employee. She makes The Ritz everything they wanted to be, and more.

Unexplainable ! A must experience to understand why it is what it is.

Another Great night at the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota

This place is beautiful and the room with the waterfront view was amazing also the staff was really incredible. The reason I m giving them
1 star is because of billing issues. I booked with ritz on the phone then they helped me price match the room with an online form which was approved but upon check out I was charged the full room rate. Still would have been fine if it was taken care of but I was told I had to contact the people that the ritz phone reservation sent me to to get the price match and get them to contact the hotel! Why? Why is that my responsibility to make your company contact you and make them tell you what room rate I was approved for!? Well after making numerous calls and email communicating with multiple parties they finally resolved it and now 2 weeks later I m still waiting for my refund! This thing killed all the good that I felt on the trip. So if you do price match with ritz Carlton be sure it is confirmed before your stay. Hope this helps someone not to go through what I did. This was a far fall from the legendary service I studied about in business class years ago. I guess times have changed. My first time a the ritz and they lost a lifelong customer

This Ritz Carlton location is an absolute embarrassment for the name Ritz Carlton. We've stayed at the Ritz in Lake Tahoe, Orlando and Chicago and the service and property has been exceptional five star quality. We went to the Ritz in Sarasota for our baby moon. The room was horrible and old with old antique furniture. There were bobby pins on the bathroom floor. Carpet wasn't vacuumed properly, there was a dead bug on the floor. All the rooms need to be renovated and updated. The plumbing is horrible and loud. It was just an awful experience. Not five star quality, therefore very upsetting to pay five star price.

We only used the conference area and dining hall but both were excellent. The valets were courteous and professional. Great location.
