The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin Review

A cozy afternoon with friends and perfect, unobtrusive service from front to back with delicious tea ceremony - definitely recommendable ... also a great gift :)

The hotel is located in the heart of Berlin. The advantage of being between the Mall of Berlin, the Sony Center and the dead youth area makes it a great place to stay.

1. Renovation is in process. So expect to wake up at 8-9am from the construction noise.
2. No more sweets and evening bed make up.
3. Breakfast is nice, but overpriced.
4. Rooms are old and require renovation.
5. Had a bug in my bathroom this time.
6. 300EUR deposit still blocked for almost a month! Despite they confirmed it was released.

Disappointed in Ritz this time.

Wonderful ! Tea Time and the perfume cocktail bar were an experience! The breakfast room was a bit crowded and loud but everything was great

Avoid for the rest of 2018.
There is lot of construction going on, most of the common amenities are closed, the lobby is walled off with sheetrock.

The room was quite nice but the construction noise was loud, and the AC wasn't working during the day due to the construction. Even when it was working, it was hardly adequate to keep up with the 90F degree temperatures that Berlin was experiencing last week.

This was not even close to a 5 star experience.

It is reasonable
The facility was visual new and comfortable
Many business people were very busy around 9 o'clock for breakfast (there was room for seats)
I stayed for 3 nights but was a young businessman one night? Was noisy
The other day was quiet, but surprisingly? The wall may be thin

Great hotel and super nice staff. Location is great

5 stars for the amazing and lovely staff!
They are always so gentle and friendly from the first step at the entrance till your last goodbye!

The restaurant also is amazing, if is full they allow you to eat at the bar which is great and sometimes you can enjoy live music.

Is good for business, for vacation, kids friendly and also great even for locals that want just eat there.

I love the renovation but miss a lot the classy old furniture that unfortunately were replaced but still looks stunning.

I had amazing meal yesterday at POTS and will comeback soon for a whole menu

Curtain Club is as classic cosmopolitan and state of the art as it gets for a bar in Berlin. Drinks are on point, snacks are great and the live musicicians on the weekends are always creating the mood you are supposed to be in when staying @The Ritz.

Here, the price / performance ratio is right and all employees show an impressively good performance in terms of competence, customer-friendliness, sense-of-urgency and the clear pursuit of maximum performance. I am impressed in the most positive sense.

Amazing room service, beds are a dream to sleep in and rooms are quite big.

Extremely elegant, yet inexpensive. The service is unique. Each person of the staff extremely empathetic. It seems as if every single employee lives for the hotel. The nicest hotel room that you can get for such a price. Too bad that the pool is being renovated. The spa area is beautiful. Sauna, steam room and !!! 24 hours fitness area. I feel like in a good movie. Romantic, quiet atmosphere. With guarantee I will come back. Thanks also for the upgrade!

Excellent hotel with well-furnished lobby and spacious guest rooms. Service was great. Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely be my first choice in Berlin.

Close to attractions, but just far enough so you're not stuck in the centre of the city.
Short walk to the Mall of Berlin, and across the street from the underground train station.

The staff are accommodating and wonderful.
Berliner's excess at customer service and almost all speak English.

I would definitely recommend and return for another stay!

There are many beautiful hotels in Berlin ... BUT the bar is a dream .. refreshing service, good bar music and fancy cocktails ... not only in the taste, also in the presentation, for example. "Paisley" with bergamot ... delicious

If we come to Berlin, then we live for years in the Ritz-Carlton. We like the exceptionally good and personal service from welcome to departure.

Nice rooms and overall service. Restaurants however are only all right; the gym is very small and a disappointment. Reception for kids is also much worse than in other RCs I have stayed

The location right on the Potsdamer Platz is just perfect. Always my pleasure!

The hotel itself is very well furnished and has great amenities, trendy bars and convenient location. Unfortunately the rate is only 3/5 as my room(809) wasn't cleaned during the day two days in the row. I had to call front desk each time to make the room cleaned. I certainly didn't expect such a poor house keeping service in 5 star hotel. While checking out some of my bar expenses were covered by the house but I'm not sure I will stay here again .

I absolutely cannot understand some nagging or hair-splitting here.
The hotel has flair and style. It leaves nothing to be desired.
I dare to say it because I don't stay in five-star hotels for 250 nights, but almost 300 in all possible categories across Europe.
I work as a coach driver, not as a hotel critic.
Keep it up. I am proud that there are such hotels in Germany.

Best Bar in Berlin. Excellent cocktails. Price also ok. Attentive service.

Booked a room for one night and everything looked nice, but I was not allowed to check in because some juice was supposedly spilled. When asked which juice this was, I was turned away and left in the dark.
PS: In retrospect it came out that O (oo) rang juice was spilled.

After the conversion unfortunately not what it used to be. Looks still elegant, but no longer has this thick, historic and cozy flair. The heavy carpets are missing, the many red with gold, the dark wood. Too bad .... unfortunately is similar to many other hotels.

The name says it all, the house convinces all along the line. Highly recommended for business trips.

Nice hotel in a good location but missing some of the facilities that you would expect (pool, spa). Service is not always up to the standard you would expect from this brand in terms of room service, housekeeping etc. The cocktail bar is excellent and the staff there are super friendly and knowledgeable.

Nice but seems more like a four star hotel to me. The room furniture was scuffed up. The mattress felt like it was at the end of its life. The club level food is on par with other three and four star hotels I've stayed at in Germany. Room service food is medium to poor quality. In one case it was cold and in another case the food we ordered never came. We canceled an order of fries after waiting about 45 minutes.

A real experience! At the entrances are "fragrance impressions" of the possible cocktails. You order here for nose. The cocktails are then very aromatic and each great in its own way. I was disappointed by any order so far. Priced. Closed in the summer.

A great place to stay in Berlin with great services and location, and bargaining price.

For the birthdays of my wife we stay in this luxury house. From front to back here you are worried about our well-being. We always like that here especially the nice little spa area and the treatments are a great rest

Convincing service is signature under a contract with high quality everywhere you look.

A hotel with a special flair, the bar a bar as they should have every hotel, staff what all desires fulfilled, the facilities and the rooms just great the location on Potsdamer Platz awesome yes here you are like a guest and also lingering times in the Hotel.

We love this place. It is best to book a room with lounge use. It's absolutely worth it, although the lounge is currently being renovated. It should be ready in spring 2018.

Excellent hotel right in the city centre. Very nice restaurants and bar options.

very nice rooms. large bathroom, unfortunately the shower hose was not connected next to the bathtub. I already found something funny. The gentleman who was my guest had injured himself at the door going to the shower. The handle is sharp-edged and I find that something dangerous. But otherwise, everything is beautiful. 11th floor, nice view to 2 sides, large very comfortable bed. Very fragrant cosmetics in the bathroom. We will definitely be back! It was a nice stay.

Very well-equipped rooms, great service, unfortunately the prices for simple drinks from the minibar and in the hotel bar way too high - not understandable!

again and again in the fragrances ritz carlton. top service in a great bar with crazy cool ideas to stage your cocktails. be sure to test for yourself which fragrance and cocktail you are. absolutely solid five stars.

It is a pity that some of the staff were unfriendly people not like Ritz Carlton.

I remember that evening well. We just came back from a boat trip over the Spree which was really nice. Achim was there too. Then we wanted to go back to the hotel but there were only problems. Something was wrong with the floor. It wasn't lava, no, it was full of juice. Orange juice. Who does that. I asked twice. What juice? Orange juice. No bitter orange juice? No orange juice. Oh well. Too bad. Turn up.

The lobby is new, not bad! But the service has not gotten better, sorry.

Had a couple of cocktails in the bar, Christopher our waiter was lovely and made some suggestions on what drinks we might like.

We had reserved in the club, including club lounge. The room was very big with a great bed. The bathroom was very nice and spacious.
Overall, we enjoyed the stay very much, only the prices have it, but this is probably normal. But for 0,25l water 7, - and an espresso 6, - is very much.
Luckily the club was all inclusive.
I would come back anyway. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Grandiose hotel, great atmosphere. Next to the Hotel de Rome the place to be in Berlin.
