Beautiful view, staff very friendly, welcome cookies. They have a store, if you forgot something. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Lots of things in lobby. Pool area was big 2 pools and slides. There was a little game room and work out room in pool area. The only thing I had a problem with is you have to go down a lot of stairs. That didn't seem safe to me and I wasnt even swimming.
View is unparalleled. Unfortunately, our AC broke first night and wasn't replaced until next morning, didn't sleep a wink because of how hot it was. Also booked a King room and was provided two Queens. Hot water ran out first morning. The view almost made up for this though, seriously probably the best in Gatlinburg
Older property with upgrades and many more happening. The views and staff were amazing.
Wonderful location overlooking the town with stunning mountain views from every room. Turn left at the hotel exit and you're in the woods. If downtown is your thing, you have a trolley that comes by and takes you down there. Every room has a balcony, the grounds behind the hotel are idyllic, and the pool, waterslide and hot tub area are great for the family. Room renovations look to be almost done on the middle floors. Our room seemed brand new. Loved the tile shower and the picture on the HDTV is one of the best I've seen, maybe the best. Can't attest to the restaurant because they're still closed because of the global panic and I took off a star because I saw the same empty beer cans and food wrapper discarded near fire pit for about 24 hours before I picked them up and threw them out. Also of the 10 games in the arcade 9 are grab-it claws, that's kinda lame. But if that's the only thing I can find wrong with the place (and believe me, I look) then there is no where else you should even consider staying while visiting the area.
Great stay except for getting the room and finding vomit still in the trash can.
Rooms are clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Kids loved the pool and pool slides.
We got the room after season so it was fairly inexpensive. The accommodations we're very good, clean with almost everything you need, there was no microwave though. The view from the balcony was amazing. The trolley comes up to the hotel if you plan on doing a little day drinking and if not Gatlinburg is just at the bottom of the hill. Great place to stay!
Again enjoyed our visit. Nice rooms good beds friendly people.will return again.
Views are amazing. Hotel is very nice. My only issue was the air conditioner was a little loud when it turned on and off all night. I would definitely go again!
Very nice hotel the pool is so fun with 2 water slides and a jacuzzi. The food in the restaurant is great and they have coffee to go. It s clean quiet safe and they accept pets .Great views and trolley comes and goes every 30 minutes. We loved it !
The view of the mountains is incredible. The staff was friendly and you get a cookie at check in and check out.
Stayed in a suite with family... Absolutely wonderful!
Very cozy, great food, and right on the mountain. Loved the view from my room, and the pool is awesome!! Don't forget your cookie at check-in!
Stayed for All State East. It was very pleasant. The elevators were slow, but there were a lot of people so that's expected.
Overall nice hotel, but our stay coincided with a church youth conference, and the hotel management allowed the kids to be incredibly loud and disrespectful to other guests. They had no plan of action for the situation and didn t seem to care about any other guests but them.
Clean and a nice pool area for kids. Great views from rooms.
Overall the staff was not very nice. There were a couple of staff members who went the extra mile to assist us as a means to compensate for the other employees. I would not recommend this hotel if you aren't bringing your pet along. The best thing about the hotel is the view.
Beautiful views, drive up to eat and see the views while eating.
The park Vista is a beautiful hotel with stunning views regardless of city or mountain side. It's a 20 minute drive from Pigeon Forge and a 5 minute drive from downtown Gatlinburg, making it easy to access any restaurant or attraction you'd like to!
Had a fantastic time at a great hotel. My kids loved the pools. Very quiet and secluded and the views were unbelievable. We will never stay anywhere else in Gatlinburg. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing hotel with great food and an awesome bar. Family time is fun at the indoor pool. Minutes away from everything.
This hotel is breath taking with some of the most beautiful views to wake up to. The service is also amazing. They have a beautiful pull with slides. They also have a restaurant and in room dinning. Don't forget you also get the famous Double Tree cookie in check in delicious!
Huge room. Love it. Had a balcony and glass elevators. Great view from every window
Room was nice and great view. However there was complications with check in and staff wasn't completely helpful. Also pool was closed then opened and full of kids even at midnight.... hot tub full of teenagers and young children. Maybe 2 parents present. Kids shouldn't be allowed in pool after 10om or 11pm to allow relaxing time for adults. Just a suggestion.
This will be my first call on my next trip to Gatlinburg.
It's very nice here! Clean and so comfortable for us and our 4 kids!
Ownership should give the staff a raise because they are the ones that make this hotel.
The Good: Large pool that is kid friendly, comfortable beds and good views, very helpful staff that over come the difficulties.
The Bad: Wi-Fi is terrible and cell service was non existent. Be ready to use the downstairs computers to stay connected. The pool also has almost unbearable amount of chlorine. It stings your eyes when entering the pool area and it's no better in the pool.
The Ugly : Ask for at least 5 keys and keep them somewhere safe. We were told that they are very sensitive and become deactivated easily. We were locked out of our room at least 5 times. Our HH mobile pass did not work at times either. Also this hotel is not able to keep up with high volume. The elevators are small and there were maybe 4 luggage carts for the entire building. When you pay 200 a night one would expect to be able to get into the room and be able to load up there luggage.
Absolutely love the hotel and staff. Recently remodeled. Trolley service to Gatlinburg, you DON'T want to walk that hill in the dark! Pool has a couple small waterslides into the water. Unique views and not a bad view in this circular hotel
Our favorite place to stay in Gatlinburg. Great views of either the mountains or downtown depending on the side of the hotel your room is on. The pool is great for kids with two slides, one for littles and one for bigger kids. Keep an eye out, you might see a bear or two around the property!
I performed with the ETSU Wind Ensemble here as the hotel was the venue for the ETSBOA this year. Charter busses plus that narrow and winding of a road made me and a few others uneasy going up and down the road. I don't know why they wouldn't have been able to make a better road.
Reason I'm giving two stars is because while I was only there for a total of about three hours I had personal belongings rummaged through during out performance and items went missing. I did not notice this until I was back home. Luckily what was taken was insignificant things and things that have replacement warranties. The security I guess is only for those who are paying guest and not for those who have been invited for an event.
Front desk didn't seem to know what they were doing
The staff was wonderful, rooms were clean and stocked. All around a nice experience.
It was very amazing stay,I was on the first floor and was in room 113 and it was clean and nice and was cleaned everyday when we got there.
A good 3 star tall hotel at Gatlinburg a famous hill resort in Tennessee
My wife and I stayed here for a weekend away. The room was quite and comfortable. We loved the room needless to say. The bar is a great place to hang out and the bar staff was friendly. We did not eat at the restaurant but the food smelled wonderful. The pool was over crowded and had way to much chlorine in it almost knocked you out when you walked in the room. The staff for the most place was friendly except one lady who acted like it was not her job to help you and always had an attitude. I even witnessed her saying to another guest she was leaving for the day to deal with it. Other than that I would suggest this place to everyone.
Hotel was beautiful and very clean. Parking was plentiful and hotel amenities were fantastic
My husband an I stayed the weekend of 6/18 for our wedding anniversary...This hotel is nothing like what It used to be...upon checking in We paid extra for higher level with city view...once we entered the room you could see dog scratches on the closet door...we went to go on the balcony there was urine stain and smell, Cigarette butts, and some red stain they may have been juice which attracted bugs...I have front desk notice so they could fix the problem... after coming back in from walking the town...we noticed that someone came and swept up the butts and other garbage and put some type of deodorizer on top of the urine to mask the Oder...now the balcony smells like a toilet...mind you it s hot as heck...not only that we had to listen to a dog bark the entire night on the top floor... The Hotel is ran down and not as upscale as it once was...this is a dog hotel...Never again will we book again !!!
Second time staying at this beautiful resort..Want to thank John at check in desk..he was very helpful..and made our stay go well..will be back
We got a room on the top floor and the views were great. Only down side is that walking to the hotel from the city is kinda far especially with he big hill at the hotel. The city does have a shuttle bus that comes by every 30 minutes but they do have working hours so you'd need to ask the front desk to make sure you don't get left without a ride back
Good views from room . Balcony was unusable with lot of slush and hundreds of smelly bugs. Room also had lot of bugs, some where found on the bed as well. There was no room service menu card or tv channel list, coffee pods and cups were not refilled or provided even after request. No free coffee at lobby, no cookies were provided during check-in or later. Don't choose this place except for the views.
The hotel itself was okay but the location and the view give it the extra star for me. The rooms were clean and comfortable if a little outdated but it's in the mountains and has a great view. Bonus!
I completely understand that this hotel is pet friendly and that they have gone above and beyond to help those displaced by the hurricane and I commend them for that. I had complete patience for all the barking and over crowding. But this morning when I picked up my wash cloth there were fleas. At this point I had to be at a meeting also being held at the hotel so I killed the pest, packed up my things and went to my meeting. At my first break of the morning I went to the hotel lobby where I was rudely told that there was nothing they could do and that if I was that upset I should have ask to be moved but that I slept in that room and in fact would pay for it. I was further informed that the room had to go through a pest control company and then their insurance company. I travel a lot and I understand that things happen, however, the customer service was unacceptable. I had pictures of the pest and a record of multiple stays through my honors account with zero complaints.
Superb hotel in the heart of Gatlinburg. The views are Superb. Few blocks from main street on hill. Look up at the tall round building.
Very clean and the best soft mattreses we have ever had on vacation. Downside is tha it is best to return early in the evening due to the limited parking.
Best of the best when it comes to hotels front desk person wasn't really friendly or nice didn't know how to talk to the guest and did give any information about the hotel me and my wife had to come back and forth to ask questions but wondering hotel
Good customer service, great housekeeping and rooms are very comfortable. The view is superb.
Great place. High elevation on mountain with great views. Great restaurant in lobby and fast glass elevators. Best part was the indoor heated pools with slides, 2 of them !
I'm terrified of heights but the views made the fear worth it. We were on the 15th floor and the view was incredible. The hot tub/ pool area was great, they just ran out of towels late at night. Cookies were wonderful. We had to pay for breakfast but they had a menu and well priced food since they cant have the buffet. No issues at all!
This is a wonderful hotel. The trolley stop is right out front and will take you into town.
Great location, very clean place, friendly people, took family there so much to do.
Staff were efficient & friendly. Made our conference easy & enjoyable.
Love this place. The food is wonderful and the people are very attentive. The views from the baloony can't be beat. So glad they survived the fire we will keep coming back.
This is my favorite hotel ever. Went there for breakfast never disappointed
Nice Hotel. We enjoyed our stay and loved the restaurant. Try the fried trout! Love the fire pit area but didn't use it during this visit due to the rain. We spent more time indoors dodging rain showers that came through the area. It's a shame Internet was so poor but it was probably due to the weather. The indoor pool is nice but the highlight was seeing a bear in the parking area. Now I understand why the hotel hands out information cards about the bears. We have stayed here several times but this was the first time seeing a bear at Park Vista.
Me and my husband had a great stay and we thought the price was just great . We stayed for four days. The staff was terrific.
We really like this place. Clean and classy with excellent views of Gatlinburg. Located on a hill above the town it is somewhat secluded from the hustle of the shops on the main drag through the city
Really nice place to stay, all the employees are really nice, we loved everything but the breakfast. It wasn't really bad but we felt it would be better to go somewhere else to eat (specially waffles and pancakes which we didn't like at all at the hotel). Everyone is willing to help and we felt it was worth the price (low 100s)
I love this hotel, the rooms are very comfortable and the views are stunning. Love the trolley ride into town and the staff was very friendly, especially the chef!!
COOLEST HOTEL WITH A MINI SHOP, WATER SLIDE, POOL, AND A LOT MORE! SO COOL!
Beautiful hotel, great location. I LOVED that they allowed all size dogs!! Fabulous adult drinks by the outdoor fire pit was AMAZING!
Wonderful facilities. Excellent staff, very helpful and friendly.
Great location, beautiful hotel. The restaurant is really good for breakfast. Check in was fast, room was clean and the beds were comfortable! We will definitely visit again.
Great fun for family. Super nice. Amenities very nice. Pool super fun for kids.
Great hotel! Pool was so much fun for the kids. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Amazing views and right in the middle of the mountains. There are many places to stay in the area and we will definitely be returning to this one.
So far this is the best I can give
We were told we could check in a noon got here and our room is still not ready and its 3. We had bought cheese and fruit its probably bad now. It's our 30th anniversary and so far 3 hours just waiting on room. I verified check in at noon last night.
Having a city-side room and being able to see downtown Gatlinburg at night is amazing. Relaxing at the fire pit outside the bar is a treat!
Beautiful view! Thus was a fantastic night at a lovely hotel in an idyllic seeing. Can't ask for more than that.
My besties and I visited this hotel in September of 2017 and it was way on the top of the mountain. Caution 1: If you've never drove up a mountain, let someone else take the wheel. The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed out stay. The hotel could use some cosmetic touch ups. Paint has rusted out in places but it's nice overall. We came from the south so we are used to good food. Unfortunately, the food there was very bland and the breakfast was quite high for the quality of the food. We would stay again but we would probably bring sufficient means to fix breakfast in our room :)
love the circle hiding. conference rooms were nice. staff seemed great from the interactions I had.
I love this place! It's always fun and busy. And the rooms are big and quiet. They always have a good view.
My husband and I had dinner there last night. It was a beautiful place all around and everyone was very professional. The food was amazing and the service was just as great. The restrooms were so clean and nice. I will definitely go back there and i will recommend this place to everyone. I didn't have one single complaint. I give it 5 out of 5 stars
So my husband and I are doing a second wedding in june. We were out for a ride on our motorcycle and we wanted to check out this hotel. We live in Gatlinburg, we own a faith based business in Gatlinburg, and we serve at a local church. As Christians it is disappointing to still be judged on outward appearances. We walked in and there was a man named Daniel behind the desk. He called us over and said hi how can i help you? We saw some luggage sitting outside of his desk but no one in sight so we just wanted to ask him a quick question. We asked him about rates for suites that they may have. He rolled his eyes at us and then told us we needed to wait (as the other customer had returned) though he was the one who called us over. But we stood there for 5 minutes waiting for him to finish with the other customer. When the person was satisfied and left we were once again alone with daniel. We asked him again about rates. He slapped a pamplet down, rather rudely, and said he couldn't give rates for any day but that night, and pointed to a number for us to call. That was all the information he was willing to share. My husband confronted him and asked why he couldn't have just said that while waiting for the other customer to come back, he merely said the other person was first and we had to wait. Now the 15 second response to our question could have easily been said to us while the other customer had yet to return. As business owners, we understand the importance of customer service. There is not one person who walks into our shop and isn't greeted like family. So for this man working for a major hotel corporation to turn his nose up at us is both appalling and disrespectful. Had we surpassed going in and speaking to a person and just booked their most expensive room in the middle of summer I'm sure once we came in for our reservation, everyone would go the extra mile to satiate us. However, I suppose to this hotel inquiries from a walk in is just not a priority. Our whole point of stopping in was to reserve the nicest room they had for our honeymoon. Now, we will be looking elsewhere
Pros:
-Good customer service
-Great breakfast buffet
-Clean rooms
-Comfy beds
-Great views
Cons:
-Terrible trouble flushing the toilets in any room we've ever stayed in (yearly, for 5 years).
-Terrible Wi-Fi (and terrible Verizon signal) makes for lots of frustration if you need to use your phone in your room.
-Parking can be challenging during peak occupancy times.
We like this place. Despite the flaws, we will return again next year.
