Nice hotel. Poor service, hot water didn't work couldn't take a shower. Will not be staying here again
Very friendly staff and very helpful. Clean rooms with great view.
Wonderful views from rooms. Clean. Worth the money.
Room was clean and quiet on the 14th floor. There are 15 total floors. Close to downtown attractions and as good a view as any cabin I've stayed in. Red and green line trolleys make regular stops to the front of the hotel. Restaurant on ground floor is very good. Be prepared for the VERY steep drive up to the hotel.
Great place to stay! The king suite was big and perfect for our family. Check in was delayed by an hour but the staff went above and beyond to make up for it. Beautiful views, great pool area and we loved how it was away from town.
Just changed over to a new key card system and had multiple issues getting the keys to work.
Loved it so much we had our wedding reception here, such a lovely, cozy and beautiful place.
I loved this hotel and wish our stay was longer than 2 days. I love how this place is both romantic and great for couples and also very accommodating and awesome for families. The staff was top notch. So friendly and eager to help (and my husband asked a lot of questions). We had a 10 month old that was amazed and in awe by the pool area. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the entire hotel. The server for breakfast was great. Although the breakfast buffet itself was not impressive. They made up for it with great service. I will stay here every visit from now on. But I will request a higher floor. we were on the 5th and the view wasn't as amazing as others.
Fantastic hotel with stunning views. Well up out of the town but has a 50cent trolley ride down and back up. Gatlinburg is a fun place.
Modern Amenities in the midst of rustic, natural charm
There were kudzu bugs everywhere. The balcony was covered with these smelly bugs. When you tried to use the balcony they invaded your room and when sitting out front in the lounge area. For what you pay to stay there you shouldn't have to put up with bugs. The staff wasn't very friendly either. I can honestly say that the only thing that comfortable about this hotel was the beds. The water was very hot in the shower either. I wouldn't recommend this hotel .
None of the ice machines are working with the exception of fifth floor. Also, you cannot stream to the TVs.
Staff is friendly, and the view is impressive. Our kids (13 & 11) ask to stay here every time we come to Gatlinburg. It could use some cleaning here and there (the pool area, especially). The trolley pickup/dropoff right at the hotel is a huge bonus, and the ride up and down the drive is a mini thrill ride (haha). Keep up the good work, Park Vista!
Our stay was spectacular! The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were very friendly. We loved the pool and jacuzzi area. The views were incredible. We will definitely return to lodge here in the future.
Enjoyed our long weekend, room service was delicious for breakfast, lunch was excellent at the restaurant, drinks from the bar were wonderful. The staff was very friendly. MLK weekend has about 300 kids that have a convention there. That was the worst part. They were very loud and rude. Running the hallways. Pushing all the elevator buttons and taking the stairs. Elevator stopped at every floor from the top going down and know one was there to get on the elevator. Not Park Vistas fault all. In fact they impressed me so much I gave them a 5 still. Pool was awesome also.
Older and showing it's age. Bathroom was so small I had to go to the main lobby to go #2. Buffet breakfast was great, but lunch and dinner were atrocious. Place is secluded so you don't really get the real feel of the area. The air conditioner was loud and even after being turned off by the wall control, it still ran all night.
It was Matt Nathanson I had a wonderful time if you ever want to go on vacation go to get member and ripped the hotels at the Hilton beautiful scenic view Yes siree
Our company hosted our annual holiday party in one of the ballrooms the hotel offers. The venue was wonderful and the staff was very helpful in the catering. Would definitely consider hosting there again for the following holiday season
We had a great view overlooking the Gatlinburg strip. Trolly rides were pretty dependable and cheap! The pool was much smaller than we expected and quickly reached capacity for me and my husband. The staff was friendly and responsive. We extended another day at the new Hampton Inn down the road which was fantastic, but if we come back to Gatlinburg, we'll most likely choose the Park Vista for the location.
Really nice hotel for it s age. The staff was friendly and the rooms are nice. The photos were taken from our balcony. The lounge in the lobby was fun after hours.
Its a nice hotel but the stuff in the front desk are not very friendly and the elevator are not working all the time
The rooms were fairly clean. The service was great and everyone was very friendly!
Nice hotel! The kids loved the pool area with the slides.
Great place to stay whenever Gatlinburg. Beautiful views great staff
Not sure where to begin because we loved everything about the place. The people at the front desk went out of their way to answer whatever questions we had. Check-in was a breeze.
The lobby is beautiful, the rooms clean and spacious, and a balcony view that was beyond spectacular. Comfortable beds, big tv, had no problem attaining phone signal (writing this review from my room right now), and even the pillows were great. (Hotel pillows are usually horrid.)
The restaurant's offerings are nothing less than excellent. The wait staff are friendly, attentive and on top of their game.
Parking can be a bit tricky if there are conventions being held at the hotel, yet you can always find a space. The trolleys pick you up right at the front door if you don't wish to drive downtown. A major convenience.
Many kudos to the management on making our stay an excellent one.
Rooms were very clean and furniture was in top order. The view outside the room's window was also incredible.
Great place. Views are breathtaking. Nice touches everywhere. Enjoyed the fire pit outside in the evening
Glass elevators. Clean, good service. Good view on one side
Really nice rooms, Clean, Need Outside pool for Summer!!
The stay was great. The rooms were spacious and the staff was helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean and so was the rest of the hotel. The bathrooms were a little small and the toilet was right against the wall. The food was really good at the breakfast buffet and the room service food was really good too. I will stay here again.
Love this place. Always top notch service and staff. I wouldn't stay any where else in Gatlinburg.
Great experience. Nice staff. Awesome room. Great location for a conference.
Room was nice and spacious. Quiet neighbors. Staff was friendly and helpful
Found a bed bug in the room (Room #301) the first night. Brought it down to the manager to request a refund for the night and to cancel our reservation. She stated their policy is they need to send housekeeping in to "see if there are bed bugs" since mine was not proof enough. Wouldn't agree to refund my money or ensure we would not be charged for the remainder of our reservation. We left regardless and are just hoping Priceline will help with a refund. Beware.
Update: Priceline refunded our entire stay and we found a nicer (more expensive ) hotel in Pigeon Forge. We are very thankful for the Priceline customer service rep.
Great stay for new years in the smokey mountains! Hope to come again.
Attended an event at the Park Vista. The Tennessee Whiskey Experience was new to us. Taste testing from over 20 Tennessee distillers was very good. Food buffet was also very tasty any good. The transportation to the event itself was poor and should be improved in the future.
Absolutely wonderful views. Rooms were affordable. Bathrooms a little small. Downtown gatlinburg just down the hill
The Hotel details state that the Hotel is not pet friendly, but when we stayed there this past week there were dogs in the lobby. We asked the front desk and they confirmed they do allow pets for $25 a night.
Friendly, professional staff throughout. Property is a little outdated, but location is nice and rooms are clean.
Definitely visit Gary at the Firefly!
I was visiting the location with family to see my brother's wedding location. It is a very nice hotel with a beautiful view of the mountains!
We were here for a cosmetology hair show. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They served a buffet lunch and the food, though not wonderful, was good and well stocked.
Beautiful views are the key to this hotel. Balcony either has views over the city or of the amazing mountains. Location is higher than most of the other hotels. This does make it unable to walk to the busy area of the town but well worth it. Staff is very accommodating and the restaurants and bar area is a great place to eat. No need to leave the hotel. Outside fire pit is cozy. Indoor water area is big enough for many people. Two slides and area for adults too!
It might have just been me, but the whole building emitted a low frequency rumble in a light wind and positively roared in anything above a stiff breeze. There was a place near the Firefly lounge just as you go out to the patio (which was very nice) where a VERY low thumping noise could be felt like from a young person's amped car stereo. There was no car, I checked back twice and the sound was still there. I suppose that I should have known that a hotel shaped like a giant drum would be loud, but jeez! I could hear a child in the lobby talking (well talking really loudly, but - come on!) about Sponge Bob on the 14th floor with the door closed. No lie. Super nice folks working there, clean room, good food, great view. It not a bad place at all, but the ambient sound really got to me. If you have trouble hearing below about 200hz, this is the place for you.
Hotel staff were very friendly and willing to work with you if issues come up. Room was great, view was fantastic, and location was prime. Breakfast was what you would expect from a hotel breakfast. Would stay here again.
My husband and I stayed here back in November and absolutely loved it. The rooms were clean, the pool was extremely nice and the staff needs a raise! There was a major storm during our stay and trees took out the power lines. The hotel lost power for hours. The hotel management and staff got together and brought out ice and snacks for everyone, for free. There were a lot of unhappy and rude customers and they handled them very professionally. We had our dog with us and they made sure he had water and food. The staff went above and beyond their duties and need to be recognized for it. Because of their kindness, we'll for sure never stay anywhere else and refer everyone to stay there. Might I add, they have incredible mountaintop views (: Thank you Park Vista, for how you handled the situation.
Great view but our room seemed a little outdated but other than that it was fantastic
Awesome stay. Beautiful lobby with bar and restaurant. Indoor pool was so much fun! Rooms clean with awesome view of the mountains. Wish the patio was a little bigger with chairs
They are renovating right now so we had to stay in a room that was not renovated yet. But it was still a very nice room. Great view of downtown Gatlinburg. So beautiful at night with all the lights. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We plan to visit again after renovations are completed. If you are staying in Gatlinburg this is a great place to stay.
This is our favorite Gatlinburg wedding venue- beautiful garden, great Mountain View, nice lodging, rain plan for Ceremonies, helpful staff, and great reception area! They also work very well with outside wedding professionals.
The pool is great. The hotel needs to be renovated.
For the price it should have been much better. Mold or mildew throughout the bathroom in the room. Paint peeling off the wall. Big stain in the floor. And it was $224 for our 1 night stay. I promise I will never stay here again. You can do just as well for half or even less than half the price if you go to a hole in the wall motel or hotel in the area.
Awesome Hotel! The most beautiful views of Gatlinburg Tennessee. The Hotel it's self is top notch.
Staff was very nice. Left my laptop cord and they mailed it to me. Room was excellent. Buffet had wide variety, but not all of it was good. Go with the custom made omelet.
Excellent hotel with great amenities such as a multilevel indoor swimming pool with water slides going into both pools and a hot tub on the top level. The food from the restaurant or catering in the conference rooms is top notch. The staff is extra friendly and very helpful. Every room has a beautiful view of either the Great Smoky Mountains, or all the lights in Downtown Gatlinburg, or both.
Pretty nice hotel with an indoor pool!! Pretty warm even when its freezing outside... Even a water slide
Great view of downtown but a long walk. Shuttle 30mins apart. We ate 2 meals, prime rib was cold on first and fries on second were cold, soup was Luke warm? Quiet room with comfortable bed and space nice size room. Close to Great Smokies National Forrest. We are Hilton fans but this was not there best. Checking in was slow and cumbersome, internet was slow to down. We stayed 3 nights.
This is such a nice hotel. The staff are friendly, the restaurant has good food. The piano player was very good.
Stayed 2 nights for a short getaway, hotel is super clean, the bearded man at the front desk(Michael) hooked us up with a great price and one of the best rooms at the hotel with a perfect view of the mountains, MANAGERS TAKE NOTICE, if I were running that business I would make Michael a leader at minimum and also showcase his people skills in a training video for other staff, because of his effort to save us some money we end up staying 2 nights instead of 1. But enough about him, back to the hotel, it's in a very convenient area to Gatlinburg, room was very clean, lobby and pool are very clean.
Only cons in my opinion are: Beds are a little hard for my liking, pools are nice but just not deep or big enough, and the ac in our room just wouldn't get the room cold enough for me, all these cons are personal preferences so....I would definitely recommend this place and also if you do stay here stop by the desk and ask to speak to Michael his people skills are sure to brighten your day!
The staff were welcoming and the warm cookie at check in was delicious. The lobby is nicely decorated and the entrance with the large open interior is very interesting. My kids loved the windows on the elevators. Our room was spacious and clean. It was very nice to have 2 king beds and the quickly brought us a rolling crib for our 1 year old. The inside pool area was clean and towels available. The slide was fun too! The drive up to the hotel is very steep and we are glad that it was just above freezing the night we stayed or our van may have had trouble. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again if we are in the area.
Not a fan of this hotel. The rooms were mediocre for the price paid. No chairs on the balcony and the beds were uncomfortable. There was a noise coming from the bathroom 24/7. The toilet stopped working as well. It is not walking distance to town but they do have a trolley that comes every 30 minutes that you have to pay for. I'll stay at the Hilton Garden Inn from now on. This hotel was a huge disappointment.
Very nice hotel! Especially if you have kids! The pool is AMAZING. It rained most of the weekend that we were there, so the pool was certainly a life saver! The breakfast was great and the staff was very nice. Also, a lot of places in the lobby to just lounge and have a drink. Great place.
Overall an incredibly disappointing experience. I booked one night at this hotel before camping in GSMNP for my husband s birthday. After checking in and inspecting the room for cleanliness, we found hairs in the bed and on the bathroom floor. We requested that they reclean but they only remade the beds. The most disappointing was the next morning at breakfast. I paid $63 extra dollars (before tax) to add 4 adult breakfast buffets to the room when I originally booked. I was told that there was no breakfast on my reservation even though I booked through the Hilton website. After pulling up my email confirmation to show that I had included it, I was asked to FORWARD my email to the restaurant staff as proof. Simultaneously, we found out that the breakfast buffet was closed due to COVID and we were told that we could choose 1 thing from the make-to-order menu (all entrees $9.95 or less). Given that I paid $15.75 for each adult to have breakfast, I asked if we could order 1 entree and 1 side in an effort to get my money s worth. We were told yes at the front desk but no by the restaurant manager. Lastly, when the food came out, it was cold. We were not offered a refund for the breakfast, even after requesting it. I am a Hilton Honors member and frequently travel for work and always book with Hilton. This is the second bad experience I have had and the cleanliness, distrust, and horrible breakfast experience solidified that I will not book with or recommend Hilton in the future.
Save your money!! Cleanliness is NOT a priority for this hotel!! See pictures!
Nor is customer communication. Do not let the "Hilton" or "Double Tree" name fool you as I did.
I read some of the negative reviews, and thought, "well, some people are just never happy. Surely, at these rates, it can't be bad."
It is.
Arrived late from travelling (2AM). First room had food crumbs on pull out couch. Changed rooms, kids went to bed (they appeared clean). I began to unpack and saw the filth in the rest of the room. Did not unpack, but went on to bed. Next day, Tried to talk yo someone at the desk, but they weren't available. So, I emailed both the overall manager and the room manager. No reply from either!!!
Plenty of things to do. Great views even from the second floor. We had a double bed room. Shower and bathroom were really small but everything was clean.
Beautiful. Great views. Good dinner for Thanksgiving
Nice atmosphere. Views beautiful of Gatlinburg. Nice pool.
We stay here every year during the Charles Simpsons Ministry and we really love it great service great people and always a good convention
The only issue i have is that there was a family in the Jacuzzi since 2pm and i checked every hour until 10pm...with no time of being able to utilize the jacuzzi that was included in my hotel accomodations. This was very upsetting as i tried to experience this aspect of my stay. This left me with a very sour experience...i was only here for one night. There was no oversight about how long people could use the jacuzzi for...this prompted the family to basically control the jacuzzi all day.
Beautiful property and location. Staff was polite and friendly. Breakfast was very nice. Room was clean and I particularly liked having a balcony.
