This is NOT a 5 star hotel. It is however a great place to stays at a fairly reasonable price. You will not get outstanding service, but you also will not be bothered. It's a quiet and peaceful smooth running machine. We have stayed multiple days on two occasions and will be back. The bar in the lobby is great. We never tried the restaurant, but I did a walk through on the breakfast buffet and it looked amazing. The pool area is great with a nice water slide and nice, large children's pool.

The only aggravating problem with this property is accessibility. You can not walk from the hotel to Gatlinburg. It is at the very end of the RED Trolley route so it's a long ride no matter where you hop on the red trolley to return from Gatlinburg.

We stayed at the Park Vista overnight. The views are tremendous, as we were on the 8th floor. Watching the mist settle into the mountain valleys is just something that softens the heart and makes you feel at home. The room had two balconies, unfortunately one of them had standing water from the rain, but that is to be expected given how much rain we've been having. The room itself was nicely appointed, with reasonably nice furnishings, though perhaps too many of them, as I stubbed a toe in the dark on one of the several Ottomans. I had issues sleeping due to the air conditioning in the bedroom, as it was cycling on and off every 5 minutes or so (very loudly) and the wall controls didn't work (in the bedroom). Also, as far as complaints go, the WiFi was unusable (on all of our devices). It was so slow that in order to complete some basic work (email) I had to resort to tethering on my phone. It didn't improve even at midnight, or the morning. It truly was unusable.

The pool at the Park Vista is truly fantastic, and great for kids. It's essentially a mini water park. We do highly recommend it for kids.

Breakfast (as we're gold hhonors members) was decent, but nothing spectacular. Were it not included due to being gold, we would have opted to not pay for it, and would have eaten breakfast elsewhere unless we just needed the convenience.

So while there were some issues, it's still a Hilton property and still a nice hotel. I know that our experience is isolated, and I would stay here again, though in a different room, so as to get some sleep.

Also, it is one of the nicer hotels in Gatlinburg and for that reason alone I'd stay here again, not to mention incredible views.

Bad Management!

Bad Management!
I have stayed here previously, but this hotel has gone down in quality. The first morning there I could not take a shower because the water would not come through at the sprayer head. Then the water would not shut off at all....so I informed the clerk at the front desk and told him that I would like to speak to the manager in charge. He said that she was not there but that I could wait; after 15 minutes I asked again and he told me that she was there now....turns out she was the lady I saw come in about 2 minutes into my wait.....so basically no one cared that I was waiting to talk to management or the front desk guys forgot to tell her. Either way at this point I was pretty upset...I showed the manager a short video of the problem in my room and all she had to say was "that's not normal". They offered no apology or solution, so I left for the day, they did manage to sort of fix the plumbing problems while I was gone. I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!

My husband and I attended a couples event through my husband's National Guard unit. The hotel staff was pleasant and accommodating. The facilities were a bit dated, but overall it was nice. The room was a good size and the view was amazing! We would recommend this hotel to others.

Nice older hotel. There are signs posted that they are remodeling. Trolley comes right up to front door to take you into town. They are a little pricey for me, breakfast for four, all you can eat, was $70.00. All said had a good experience.

Really nice place I love The Birdcage the pool exercise room the large meeting rooms and the Fourier is just spectacular. If you are able you need to get a room with the view of Gatlinburg it is an awesome Buick specially at night when everything is lit up

While this place has a wonderful view of the mountains the customer service was horrible, the room was shabby (air conditioner had exposed wires). Food was decent but they were under staffed. If it weren't for these issues it would have been pretty good.

Very cool hotel. You can see it from basically all of Gatlinburg. With a trolly that will take you throughout the town. Every room has a balcony, and blackout curtains. The restaurant in the lobby was reasonably priced with big portions. I got full on a cesar salad! Friendly staff, fantastic warm cookies... We saw a black bear casually hanging out by the entrance. Definitely don't leave food in your car!

Older hotel, but still nice. Nice views and nice hot breakfast where chef prepared made to order eggs, omelettes. Nice big beds. Nice indoor swimming pool with slides for kids! Had a great time!

The location is beautiful and on top of a hill so the views are very good. The facilities are nice with a great pool for kids (not a full size one that adults can enjoy).. the only disadvantage is that it is not at a walking distance to any of the restaurants or attractions so you would have to use the trolley or your car.

This place needs a major renovation, massive amounts of mold in the room, ripped and dirty lobby chairs, broken towel rack, blood in the elevator, heavy smell of chlorine in the ice, the list goes on... amazed that anyone would give more than one star. It was convenient but never again.

The only thing that was disliked is the inconvenience of having to go up a giant steep hill, but pool was nice and sized, room had plenty room and was enjoyed by my party of 4, would come back!

Wonderful hotel. Nice and warm and inviting. Unfortunately I cannot fully comment on the views because we arrived after dark and left before daybreak. Bit from what little we could see, the view of downtown at Christmas is very nice!

Hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly. Beds were comfortable. Room was nice and have all that you need. Balcony was not great. There are no chairs and it is very small. Each room has a mini fridge and there is a microwave on each floor. Hotel is located on top of a plateau with beautiful views. You do have to drive to the Gatlinburg strip, would be much too far to walk. Man playing piano in the lobby each night. Pool is nice with a big water slide and a great little kids kiddie pool area with small water slide. Restaurant was not great. They do have a bar in the lobby area, which is nice. Would def stay again. Great for kids.

Our room had stained and dirty carpet the furniture was dusty, the only emenity was free coffee in your room everything else had a fee...and than to top it off we were leaving our pocket change on the dresser so we wouldn't have to carry it around and on the 3rd morning there the housekeeper decided it was hers and took it when I complained to the manager she made excuses for the housekeeper.
I would not stay there again

I chose this hotel because it seemed to be walking distance to down town, what you don't realize until you get there is that the mile it takes to get there from down town is 100% vertical incline straight up a mountain. Seriously, it took some gas power to get the truck up the winding vertical stretch the first day of our stay. I wouldn't recommend trying to walk unless you are kid free and looking to really work your glutes! The nice thing is there is a trolley that comes every 30 minutes that will take you back and forth for 50 cents a person, which will really save you some driving and parking costs. The lobby is nice, but the decor of the floors and rooms seemed surprisingly outdated. The pool is heavily chlorinated, my son's eyes were blood red within 10minutes of being in the pool. The kids enjoyed the pool area however. The big slide can be a little dangerous and there are no life guards so be hypervigilant if you have small kids. Overall the rooms were ok, smaller than i expected and for the price it would be nice if breakfast was included.

Stay there the weekend of the 4th of July and was bit by bed bugs. I have contacted the hotel several times and was ignored. I have bits all over my body. I don t see why the Hiltons associates themselves with this hotel it s really gives them a bad name

We got the city view room and the night time view was very nice. Hotel was clean and well maintained with nice upgrades on the TV. Location is away from the "strip" and too far to walk but there is a shuttle stop. Breakfast was very good and there was a nice bar area.

This hotel is our favorite! Located near downtown Gatlinburg. We have been a few times and it never disappoints! Marina works the bar and the breakfast area....we can t say enough about how we appreciate her work ethic, extra care and sparkling personality....Marina makes the overall experience worth 5 stars!

Nice place to stay. Curvy drive up the hill. Watch out for oncoming traffic! Needs more parking but is limited because only so much accessible land on top of the hill. View is pretty!

I give the gym, lobby and pool area five stars. They even had a man playing the piano for a portion of the evening.

The hotel needs to invest in a walking path along their driveway to the main sidewalk. It's about 1/3 mile along a steep and winding driveway that has no place for pedestrians. It would be a big draw for people that prefer walking into town.

This was our first stay here, and it will not be the last! The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean. We loved that The Park Vista is off of the main strip. The trolley comes right to the front door, so we didn't have to drive anywhere. Beautiful view, especially on the higher floors. The pool area was very nice.

Not to redirect you to another site but I've already left a review of this hotel on TripAdvisor and I would advise you, if you're thinking of staying here, to do your do the diligence read all the reviews and make the right choice for you and your family. There are plenty of pluses as well as minuses to this property.

I appreciate that this property had a room type that can accommodate 6 with an adjoining room with two bunk beds and a half bathroom. Also has a pool with a slide which is great for kids and teenagers to enjoy

Door kept sticking and didn't lock. My room smelled like pee. Hotel was booked solid so I was unable to move. Restaurant service was awful. Beds are not comfortable. Good thing I had extra blankets in the car from our 10 hour drive because I would have been freezing otherwise! What hotel only has sheets on the bed? Its overpriced! Save your money! Don't bother staying here, it sucks!

There was a pile of dog food on the floor by the door soon as we got in..they sent someone up to clean it and they left half of it behind...no room service...the few people I tried to speak to didn't speak very good English either...over 300 each night, not worth it in my books.

Amazing hotel, views are awesome, staff go above and beyond, they have a bar that is out of this world , best long island iced tea. The restaurant is great , the breakfast buffet is awesome, and on Fridays all u can eat seafood and crab legs.

wonderful hotel to stay at if you are visiting Gatlinburg. It's not the cheapest but it's very nice for the price that you pay and very comfortable. They have great views and balcony which is awesome as well.

Beautiful hotel! Not the greatest location as you aren't going to walk to local attractions from here. I really liked the facility - the pool was fantastic, especially for the kids. Grounds around the hotel also quite nice. Stayed here during the Covid pandemic but also stayed in other Hilton properties in the same state and just feel like the Double Tree really cheaped out on breakfast - seriously lacking compared to other places we have recently stayed. Also there was no coffee available in the lobby area. That's a first for me in the Hilton family.

Professional and courteous staff that make sure things run smoothly no matter how many guests are in the hotel. The rooms are kept very clean and the views are fantastic. The only thing I would change is the decorating for the ballrooms/conference rooms.

Full hotel with half the staff working. 45 minutes to check in. A/C in our room leaked water on the floor and only worked half the time.Cold shower on the first night. I found out you have to let the water run 10 minutes to get it hot. Our worst Hilton experience ever.

Landscaping and most common areas are nice. However, my room was in poor shape. Shower head had a creepy huge hole in the wall so I stuffed a wash cloth in it. Green toothpaste was smeared on wall when we arrived, and wood floor was filthy. Elevator floors were filthy too. See photos.

My experience at this hotel was wonderful. We were traveling with my pet so they charged us $ 25 (much cheaper than at other hotels). We stayed on the 10th floor with a view of the mountains.
