This restaurant should be better. The service really let the whole experience down. Our main courses were served about 40 mins after the starters, we had to chase the waiters many times before the food was actually served. And no apology at all, was offered for the delay. Some of our drinks were forgotten and again, no apologies for the delay. Very arrogant waiters it seems. Disappointing as the food was quite good.

Lovely food, but three pieces of tortellini for the starter, was a bit disappointing for the price and enjoyment. Ordered the duck salad last time in Chelsea , that only contained ONE piece of mentioned watermelon. Service was rather dismissive. Didnt receive blankets for pregnant friend as we sat outside and forgot to bring us water.

Very good environment and service. Royale Benedict is very delicious, however, first it came with hard yolk poached egg which is very strange to me. Then I asked them to make it runnier for me. Mini pastries are okay, nothing special but taste good anyway. Overall it s a good experience.

Get the zucchini fries, they go with everything. Tarte tatin is the stuff dreams are made of. If you ask the waiter, they'll even give you a vegetarian/vegan menu so you don't have to pick through the full menu. Real good stuff.

Disappointing experience after all the hype. Booked for a special birthday treat for my husband and though I did mention this a while beforehand our party of 5 was shoved in a corner on a tiny table where we stared at a wall for 2 hours. None of the glamour or class you get at the original Ivy restaurant. We could have been in any restaurant chain in London.

Went on a Friday night. If you're the sort of person who likes restaurants that have a DJ, you'll like this. For me, it felt like Dubai, and not in a good way. The music was so loud that conversation was difficult. This is not a club or even a bar, just a normal restaurant that closes at 11 pm - no need to inflict a DJ on customers who want to have a nice dinner and talk to each other. We asked a couple of times for the volume to be lowered - it went down for about a minute then back up louder. Eventually we tried to move outside to finish our wine in peace, but weren't allowed to take it outdoors with us so had to drink it standing up in the little lobby by the reception/coat check desk.

Service was very patchy - we spent a lot of time trying to flag down one of the few staff members when we needed something. Obviously, they couldn't hear us, so we had to keep watching out for them and waving. Food was great, but due to the intrusive music and poor service we wouldn't come here again. It wasn't cheap, either!

Really nice dishes with rich flavors. Drinks were good as well. The waiters were friendly and helpful. The only thing that bothered me was that even if we had a reservation, we had to wait half an hour for our table to get ready (OK, we came with one extra person, they say it was because of that but at the end, they just put an extra chair to a 4person table, so it's not really a good justification).

Solid 2 stars. Forgot my drink, forgot side orders, 'snacks' (bread and olives) were delivered with the main course?? The waiter was arrogant and utterly pretentious. Food was typical London grub and it was priced accordingly. On the plus side, the location was nice and quiet and the truffle chips were pretty bloody lovely. Generally though, I expected better from something with 'The Ivy's brand on ky

Very posh, and I love the ambiance there. The food is nice but they are a little cheeky. The food isn't cheap and when we asked for different type of chips then the set one, the ones we ordered being a little more expensive, instead on just calculating the price difference between the two and adding that amount to the bill they charged use in full for the set lunch and the other fries. I think I'll just stick to the brunch if I ever go back.

Menu was limited. My girlfriend's meal was dropped and had to be redone leaving her to eat after everyone else with no compensation offered. Not even a free drink or dessert. Atmosphere was ok but do not go there expecting THE IVY. This is like The Ivys poor relative.

Great location, fantastic service and the restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere. The interior is luxurious and premium. The food was served quickly and the portion was huge, I had the Fish and Chips, with a fair price for the area. I will happily return and try the flaming cocktails!

Oh how this place has fallen. I used to really love coming here, it had been a while since I was last there and it used to be so good. Not this time, staff were not attentive, food frequently came up to be served to tables and the runners ended up standing there for a period before a waiter even acknowledged them to serve the food. The music was unnecessarily loud, which resulted in everyone having to talk really loud to each other, leading to an unpleasant experience. The actual food quality could have been better, poached eggs overdone, otherwise still was OK, not bad enough to warrant one star but not up to the usual standard at all. There are far better variants of Ivy s in London which should be considered before going to this one. I won t be back here and will return to my preferred Ivy variant.

A very smart new venue. We had the set meal at lunchtime, delicious food, nicely presented by efficient and very pleasant staff. The only downside was that it was lunchtime, extremely busy and quite noisy, maybe better to go later in the afternoon. Good value for money though, and would definitely go back again.

Not too crowds during week days, easy going environment. Reception will take your coat if you wanted. Food has a great quality value and variety.
Will came back for lunch, but the breakfast was very good.
I recommend to do booking if coming during weekend. Location is just perfect too.

I cannot rate this place any less!! Having eaten here on Monday evening I ve been ill with food poisoning ever since. I contacted the guest relations team and had a very short response explaining that the management team would be in touch... guess what, they haven t!! I ve been off work now for two days and have never in my life been so unwell. Quite honestly I expected MUCH better from The Ivy!!

Smart decor, lighting, overall inviting atmosphere. Attentive and welcoming staff. Tables positioned a little too closely for comfort. However, the food was excellent (well done everyone) and presentation spot on. I would have given five stars as I found the music somewhat intrusive, although that might appeal to others. However, overall a very positive experience.

Described by one of our party as "deeply average" - we'd booked for a decadent celebratory brunch, but left distinctly underwhelmed. It took forever for the food - or the bill - to arrive, and it was clear that many of the dishes had been hanging around waiting to be collected; toast was evidently cooked and then left under a heat lamp, an omelette was rock hard by the time it hit the table. Quality control on ingredients was poor, with several people being served completely unripe avocados. They even serve lattes in those tall, thick, conical glasses last seen in Baileys adverts in the 1990s, with spoons that don't reach the bottom. Apparently the kippers were nice though. If you're looking for something which feels a little bit special, or even for a top quality meal, I'd suggest you look elsewhere.
